Clan Kryze​

Clan Kryze is a Mandalorian clan and the head family of House Kryze. The clan hails from Kalevara in the Mandalore sector and is led by Duke Bol-Yur Kryze. Members of Clan Kryze often wear armors of blue and silvers. The clan's crest was also formerly worn by the Nite Owls, a fiercesome group of all female Mandalorians.


HISTORY

In the years before the Clone Wars, House Kryze was deeply divided during the Mandalorian Civil War, as pacifistic elements within Clan Kryze sought to take Mandalore away from its warrior past and instate a new Mandalorian government. These "New Mandalorians" ultimately won the war, and Duchess Satine Kryze claimed the throne of Mandalore—a throne she would sit until the middle of the Clone Wars, when the Sith Lord Maul, and his Death Watch minions, usurped the throne and executed her.

Satine's sister, Lady Bo-Katan Kryze, led an insurgency against Maul, which eventually succeeded in wresting the throne from the former Sith Lord with the aid of the Republic and former Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano. But their victory was short-lived. Not even a day after Mandalore's liberation, the Republic was replaced by the Galactic Empire, and the Mandalorian people became the enemies of the newly christened Emperor Palpatine. Palpatine waged a Great Purge against the Mandalorian people, killing many, scattering more, and glassing Mandalore in the process. Ultimately, Clan Kryze fell along with the Mandalorian homeworld, though Lady Bo-Katan and her entourage continued to fight to restore their people.

Now, Clan Kryze is based on the Mandalorian planet Kalevara, led by Duke Bol-Yur Kryze, a descendant of Lady Bo-Katan. Together with his three legitimate children and his estranged bastard daughter, Valeska Kryze, the clan seeks to restore its name and, more importantly, fight for the restoration of the Mandalorian people, who have remained scattered and broken for far too long.


ASSETS

Though a far cry from their former selves, Clan Kryze is still the ruling Mandalorian clan on Kalevara (pictured right), and the planet is ruled by the clan's leader, the Duke (or Duchess if the leader is a woman). The Duke's or Duchesses' family resides within Castle Kryze, on the eastern continent near one of Kalevara's few oceans. The rest of the Clan, and their vassal houses, live in the various settlements scattered across the toxic desert planet.

Rumors claim that the Kryze castle was constructed from the hull of Duchess Satine Kryze's former yacht and flagship, the Coronet, an antiquated New Mandalorian liner that was operational during the Clone Wars. The compound is crawling with Mandalorian guards and its perimeter is patrolled by a squadron of Firespray 31-class patrol and attack crafts.


ROSTER

Bol-Yur Kryze (NPC) is the current Duke and head of Clan Kryze, and the monarch of Kalevara. His wife is Heleen Kryze, and together they have three children. Bol-Yur was formerly involved with a Mandalorian woman named Eshka, and through her had an illegitimate daughter, his oldest, to whom he currently remains estranged.

Valeska Kryze (PC) is the firstborn and illegitimate daughter of Duke Bol-Yur Kryze and Eshka, a Mandalorian woman of unknown clan affiliation. She is currently estranged from her father and operates as a bounty hunter out of Kalevara and Taris.
