Nicely made character, interesting personality.

However, I must point out that Songsteel is rarer than Phrik, and we aren't allowed to have weapons or pieces of armor that are made up entirely of lightsaber-resistant materials. I would recommend making the sword made of either phrik or cortosis and other materials, as I'm not sure if Songsteel is even allowed for this timeline.

Also, instead of having her travel to Ilum and stealing a Kyber crystal (which would be heavily guarded by the Jedi most likely), it might be better if she acquired it from a Jedi's lightsaber that she acquired elsewhere, perhaps on the black market. I know it isn't nearly as badass, but infiltrating a Jedi stronghold to steal one of their most closely-guarded possessions is highly unlikely.

Indeed. Much like Painus said, nearly impossible. But Emily knows that now.

And at the same time, folks, remember that it might just be that the profile hasn't been edited to reflect what the writer knows about these things that they might not have before. I'm sure the issue will be fixed soon enough.

I've seen this said before and I have no clue where the idea came from, but I can't find any source saying songsteel is at all rare or hard to get in any way. And why wouldn't it be allowed for the site if you could easily substitute it with cortosis(practically useless now anyway) or phrik(described as nearly indestructible yet is somehow acceptable over songsteel)? If it's an issue of canon, then we all need to revisit this thread and get things figured out. Besides, songsteel's primary use is for swords/melee weapons, she's not doing anything out of the ordinary here.
Even if it was as rare as people seem to think it is, she could say her dad spent most of his adult life gathering enough of the stuff to make a sword for his daughter. Problem solved.

All lightsaber crystals are explicitly stated to be kyber crystals by the LucasArts storyboard team. Basically the people that decides what's canon nowadays. So I'd assume that the Sith would have their own source of kyber crystals somewhere. Perhaps on Ziost, Korriban, or Moraband. But regardless of your faction or the colour of your 'saber, it's a kyber crystal at the heart of it.
