Apartment block 42-C-1231, Coruscant
Local time: 6:32 PM

Lani had to pull a lot of strings to make that happen. Jump at the first opportunity to go to Coruscant. Convince one of the Knights she was paired with to let her go on a slight detour. And most importantly, find a few "partners in crime". That is, if entering your sister's—and technically still your own—apartment counted as a crime. Probably not. Taking some stuff from there as mementos was harder to pinpoint as a "totally innocent" thing. If not by Coruscant laws, then at least by the code of the Jedi, who preached "letting go of attachments" and blah-blah-blah. That's why no Knights were informed about just what Lani had planned.

The team for this "side project" was small. Padawan @Drastus Drahr seemed to be cool and was eager to help. If only to help her get more stuff out of the Tallis apartment. The real trick was shipping it all off-world. Especially Kori's swoop bike, if it was still around somewhere. That's why Galania was lucky that @Xiann agreed to help. The Twi'lek worked on a Jedi ship, and even had an idea how to make it all go unnoticed. If things worked out as the Rutian said they would, Lani would owe her big time.

The Zeltron was anxious. Being on Coruscant again made her homesick, while the atmosphere of the megacity made her a different kind of sick. The time spent on lush-green New Alderaan and Yavin-4 had taken its toll. Undeterred by that, Lani had navigated through the district, and then through the mazes of her apartment block. All to get to one door. The door to her past. "Here goes nothing," a brief moment of hesitation, and Galania slipped her card through the reader. After what felt like eternity, a green light flickered, inviting the Zeltron and her new friends into her old apartment. "Pure Pazaak!" she half-whispered excidetly. "Thanks for not selling the place and for keeping the lock, sis."

It was hard to explain the whirlwind of emotions that hit Galania when she stepped inside. Memories of her youth, parents, and siblings; meeting Kori for the first time; spending time with her while she had business on Coruscant. Self-defense training, meeting a Vratix Jedi and Kori's friend... It helped that the place remained the same, except for new layers of dust. Excitedly, the young Zeltron rushed towards her old room. The one that had been Nykoria's before her departure for Ajan Kloss more than a decade before. She hated the hell out of those posters of mine. And yet she kept them! Thanks, I guess...

Lani had left no valuables there though, and Nykoria must've been respectful. It was Kori's new room that'd have most of the things Lani came for. Inside, she found a sizeable bag with clothes, some credit chips, and even an armored flight suit. She didn't even unpack. What were you up to, sis? Most of that stuff was definitely not Lani's size. Still, the young Zeltron didn't intend to leave anything important behind. If Nykoria was gone, the family needed a memento. "Drast, you take this bag, ok? Careful, it's a bit too heavy, and we're still not done."

Galania glanced around the room. Hold on... There it was, lying on the table. The old M3 Stub Pistol with an ascension gun attached to it. The Tallis family keepsake, and a gift to Nykoria from her and Lani's father. The pistol that shot at the Eternal. Had anyone but Lani known or trusted that story, the gun would've been with the best of them in terms of price. But as it was, it was just a pistol with some value to Lani and her family. She had no regrets putting her own S40 into Drast's bag and holstering her new weapon instead. After making sure that it had a full power pack, of course. The gun was heavier than what Lani was used to, but she'd manage. Besides, she didn't plan on any shooting.

So far, things were going swimmingly. Lani led the way towards the last place to check: the family safe in her father's old study. Confidently, she moved the books and datapads on one of the shelves aside and entered the code. The result, however, didn't meet her expectations: the red indicator showed that the code was incorrect. Lani typed it again, making sure to look at the digits... Same result. "Oh, kriff you, Kori! You had to kark it up in the end and change the code." Now what was she supposed to do? At a loss, the Zeltron turned towards her "little gang": "Guys, any ideas?"

Team "Padawan" consists of Lani Tallis and the crimiest of criminals she could find on Yavin-4: Drastus Drahr and Xiann. They're the ones in the Tallis apartment now. Other participants/opposition are welcome to join somewhere along the way, two or three rounds in. You'll see an opening. But please note that we're kind of not prepared to face off against Sith Lords or seasoned criminals yet ;-) The thread is meant to be on the fun and light-hearted end of the spectrum, with maybe only a few darker moments.

In short: use your best judgement and have fun!

Drast would whistle as he entered the apartment, shades still on. "Nice place, Lana." he said with that audible grin. He would begin to unbutton his vest as they made it deeper into the apartment. As she pointed out the bag, he'd tuck his vest gently into the bag, ensuring it wouldn't get wrinkled during the op. He had arrived separately on the world, this time with the blessing of his Master, so long as he comm'd her every so often to let her know he was safe.

As he walked through, he inspected momentos, heavy bag weighing down on his shoulder. One hand would grip the strap of the bag while the other rested on the grip of the shiny new blaster holstered at his hip. Unfortunately, it was just a replica, but it didn't matter. He had the gun of one of his heroes at his hip. "I knew I was just here to play pack mule." he said with a laugh and as she reached the safe and looked dumbfounded, Drast would begin to remove the books completely from the shelf. "Mind if I cut into the wall behind this? If we cut power, it should open the lock."

Xiann followed her new friends through the streets of Coruscant, the moving crowds and busy people made her feel more at home than she had for a while. Partially because despite being happy she managed to leave Taris, she did miss it. However the main reason she like the hustle and bustle is they were just another face in the crowd, easy to disappear if they needed to, and with how Galania had described her plan, a vanishing act may be quite useful.

After a slight pause at the door, the group entered the apartment they were here for and Galania wasted no time in picking up a very mean looking blaster and replacing her own. Was she looting her own apartment? Xiann shrugged to herself slightly as she looked around, everything was caked in a thick layer of dust, “How long has it been since you were here? There is a lot of dust for just a regular apartment.”

The Twi’lek lazily ambled around the rooms looking at the posters for people and things she’d never heard of. Must have been nice growing up in a place like this. Her attention was drawn when she heard the familiar beeping of a negative code entry, and the cursing to accompany it. Followed by a suggestion to cut open the wall, to cut the power.

Xiann sighed and carefully feeling around the keypad found the release. Pressing it, the pad swung sideways revealing the wires and connections inside including an S/O port. She reached down and pulled a security spike from one of many semi-hidden pockets in her trousers. She plugged it into the port before turning towards Drastus. She leaned in close to him, batted her eyes and put on her most seductive voice, “And that is why you are just the handsome pack mule.” She smiled widely and let out a high pitch giggle, before turning her attention back to Galania, “This will take a second, but it will keep any alarms from triggering. For a couple of minutes anyway.”

Even a pet name from Drast didn't bother Galania at that point. She was home, and nothing else mattered. She just replied with an absent-minded "Uh-huh" and carried on. Xiann's question did require an actual answer, so Lani just shrugged: "Months? A year? The place was... Is my sister's." She corrected herself, still clinging to the shreds of hope to find Nykoria alive eventually. But from what she heard so far, it was less and less likely. She didn't even know where to look.

Finding some keepsakes did lift up Galania's spirit though, so she approached the safe being her usual self. Drast's idea was... radical. First, if Kori was gone, the apartment would still be Lani's and her family's, right? Damaging anything would be such a waste. Besides, it could draw unwanted attention from the neighbors. A long explanation about her and Kori's absence and their parents was something Lani didn't want at the moment.

But then Xiann stepped up, like it wasn't her first rodeo by a long shot. She just approached the safe and started fiddling with it. In truth, Galania hadn't prepared for a changed password. But the Twi'lek obviously had a few tricks stashed away. The way she talked to Drast made Lani's cheeks go a deeper shade of purple, as she felt the emotions caused by this exchange from both Xiann's and Drast's angles. It was so exciting: breaking in, security spikes, all spiced up by the flirting? "Sign me up for more, please!" A "getting a room in our own apartment" joke was appropriate, but Xiann's reminder of the imminent alarms brought Lani back from the dreamland to reality.

"Right" it was "back on the clock" for the Zeltron. Still, she couldn't resist throwing in some crime holo flair. "D, once this thing pops open, grab all the dough and whatever else is inside. X, keep watch on our window. I've got one last thing to do." With that said, the Zeltron left her accomplices with the safe, heading off briefly about her business. All they'd hear is a loud "KARK YEAH!!!" from another room half-a-minute later.

...

Galania would re-appear in the study a minute after she left, interrupting whatever was going on. But now she look different. On top of her clothes, she wore a dark-brown leather jacket, with a barely noticeable tribal pattern on the back. It may've been slightly oversized, but for the moment it didn't matter. Lani's posture clearly posing, she held the M3 "Eternal Buster" on her right shoulder, aiming behind her. The purple index finger on the left hand was pointing upwards, with a keychain on it. The key to the biggest keepsake yet, and Lani knew where to grab it.

Hopefully, the lock would be open by that time, and Drast would've done his part. "Sorry, this is the part where I drop you both and get the prize all to myself," the Zeltron said with a wide grin and some laid-back confidence to boot. Still, she couldn't withhold a chuckle a mere moment later. "Just kidding! You're the best. A handsome packing mule, a seductive smuggler-slash-slicer...." she paused, thinking for a moment. "... and a Jedi Master."

Regardless, the bag, some credits from the safe, and the keys was all they'd find in the apartment. Only one suggestion was in order: "Let's delta the kark out of here?"

Xiann smiled lightly as she noticed Galania’s slightly flushing cheeks, perhaps training as a Jedi wasn’t going to be so dull as she first thought. She nodded to the Zeltron and went to stand by the window to watch. Even though the spike could block alarms, it could only block them for so long, and the time varied depending on the alarm. There was really no way of knowing how long it would last, or even it had already failed.

Her attention only returned to inside the room when Galania came back in her new, oversized jacket. She quirked her eyebrow slightly at the mention of being dropped, not an uncommon tactic, but this time it turned out to be in jest. A wicked smirk crossed the Twi’lek’s lips as the descriptions were handed out.

Xiann crossed the room, keeping her feet in line making her hips rock even more than usual as she approached the group’s impromptu leader. She patted a bit of dust off the right shoulder before lightly pulling on both side of the collar then lapels to adjust the jacket to fit better on the undersized Zeltron. She let her hands slide to down the lapels to waist height before tightening her grip and pulling down slightly, pulling the two closer together. She looked directly into Galania’s eyes and turned her sultry voice back on, “You forgot to mention how pretty that Jedi Master is.”

Releasing her grip on the jacket, she took a step back biting her lip lightly and giving the woman a wink, before quickly turning and yanking the security spike out of the S/O socket, “Yup. Time to go.” Xiann practically skipped through the apartment, still grinning before turning back when she got to the front door, “You guys coming, or what?”

Drast smirked at Xiann "Yeah, I am pretty handsome." he said jokingly right back with that patented grin. "It was enough for us on Corellia, we didn't have the fancy toys. Besides, running from the fuzz was by far the most entertaining thing to do there." he added with a shrug.

As the safe popped open, he let one hand glide over the contents and swept it into the bag. This was one of those things that not only felt familiar, but felt right. "Sure, leave it to the Corellian to snatch and grab, which by the way, is a very redundant phrase." laughing, he gave the bag a car salesman slap once full. Glancing up, however, as Lani stepped out in the jacket, he gave an appreciative whistle. "Two gorgeous women, lucky pack mule right here." he added with his smirk and even threw in one of his patent pending winks. "You two lead the way, I'll enjoy the view from the back. You guys taking all this with you? Or do you want me to take all of it with me?"

It seemed like the joke had quite an effect. The Twi'lek approached, and it took Galania all her restraint to stand still and not move a muscle on her face. It was a challenge of sorts: to keep the hormones in check and deny the Twi'lek the satisfaction of knowing whether or not her charms were effective. Lani stood like a monolith, letting Xiann adjust the jacket and basically do her thing. It seemed that the Zeltron didn't even breathe; she only followed the moves of Xiann's hands with her eyes, and tilted her head to the right as the Twi'lek spoke her piece and stepped away. Maybe a little more blushing was involved, but nobody bothered to turn on the lights to see for sure.

Only when Xiann turned away and skipped towards the exit, did Galania allow her lips to curl up a little. The smirk that probably would remain throughout the rest of their little adventure. It was hard to say what was to blame: the hormones and pheromones, the risks, the darkness of the apartment, or the fact that Lani was now cosplaying Kori to great effect. "We'll figure it out downstairs," the Zeltron replied to Drast's question about their prize. "Want to show you something first. Just... don't bail on us with the credits and stuff?" she replied jokingly, as she finally holstered M3 "Eternal-Buster" and patted on it, implying just what might happen.

She then proceeded to catch up with Xiann, and would close the doors behind the trio, locking them with her keycard again. To an outside observer it looked like they were never there (unless they saw the safe, of course)...

EXCEPT THAT THE SILENT ALARM HAS BEEN TRIGGERED, AND NEARBY LAW ENFORCEMENT HAS BEEN ALERTED.

Obviously, the DLX trio (short for "Drast, Lani, and Xiann", obviously) didn't hear the alarm. They knew about it, but didn't seem to bother for now. "By the time anyone shows up, we'll be long gone. You think Preef Callo's heists were great? The ole frog has nothing on this!" Clearly pleased with herself and her companions, and with an even wider grin, she hit the button and stepped into the elevator. Leaning her back against the opposite wall to the entrance, she continued in a slow and confident manner: "Garage level, please."

Drast would just pfft her remark about running with the cash. "Oh yeah, I'd be so hard to find after this." he replied with a smirk and followed her onto the elevator enjoying the view. Something about her or the coat was just really working wonders. Hefting the bag into the lift, he'd laugh at the request. "Lucky me, pack mule and button pusher. I'll be sure to add it to my skillset." He said with a teasing grin. Hitting the button for the garage level, he crossed his arms and waited for the lift to descend. "We make a pretty great team, though, if anyone does show up for the alarm, you should leave the pursuit to me. Besides, just you wait til you see my ride. They'll just want to know all about it."

Come to think of it, Drast was feeling a little light headed, more at ease, or more comfortable then ever before. It was amazing. He wasn't even sure why, but there would be something just relaxed about his stance, even with the prospect of law enforcement heading their way.

Xiann practically skipped along with the other two, she was happy to finally found some proper friends. That and being able to wreak a bit of havok again was fun, she’d been confined to the overbearing Jedi Knight for a bit too long without a break. She let out a small chuckle at Drast’s jovial tone, she was in unusually high spirits today.

She stepped onto the elevator and waited for it to start moving before asking a question his comment brought up, “You guys have way more training than me, couldn’t either you have just, you know…” She waved her hands around vaguely, “Forced the lock?” She shrugged her shoulders and seemed to shrink into herself a bit, clearly uncomfortable with her lack of knowledge on the subject, “I don’t know how it all works yet. Oorrl just keeps handing me rocks and saying ‘Trust in the Force’.” The Twi’lek sighed and made a conscious effort to straighten back up and replace the smile on her face, “Was it this confusing when you guys first started?”

Kel Rollan awoke to what at this very moment was the worst sound he could ever imagine. A shrill beeping echoed throughout the room he was in, seemingly drilling into his skull each time it rang out. He groaned as he shifted, taking the room into view. This wasn't his apartment. Next to him a Twi'lek getting dressed, cursing. Wait a Twi'lek? Kark he did it again. He rose to his feet, mind struggling to figure out the name of the stranger he had apparently become acquainted with. Movement was a mistake, the hangover was in full force tonight. Eyeing a bottle of some alcoholic substance on the nightstand the disgraced man downed the remaining contents of the bottle. The Twi'lek looked at him. "Sorry, alarm tripped. Someone broke into a safe, gotta go and check it out." The Twi'lek clipped a belt around her waist, a blaster attached to it. Kel pulled on his own clothes. "I'll let myself out..." he searched for the name, it was on the tip of his tongue. The Twi'lek sighed. "Teela asshole. You can leave. Don't bother calling."

Kel stared up at the ceiling for a bit as the Twi'lek left. He needed to stop drinking. This was becoming far to regular an occurrence. He grabbed his own cloak slipping it on before stepping out of the apartment. He looked around for the turbolift, how had Teela already managed to get off this floor? Ignoring the unlikely event he pressed the button to call the lift to his floor.

Tap. Tap. Tap. This had to be the slowest turbolift ever. Kel reached out and began pressing the button again, and again. Who the kriff made turbolifts this slow. A ding echoed throughout the hall and the door finally opened. Where a Zeltron, a different Twi'lek, and a Human stood. The Twi'lek was just mentioning forcing the lock when the door opened, and Kel stood there staring at the trio until the door closed once again. He must have been drunk, he could have sworn that one of them said trust in the force. "What the kriff?" He stood there for a full minute before he managed to add two plus two. Force the lock? Someone broke into the building? That was them! Kel was running for the stairwell.

By the force he had gotten fat and lazy in his old age. He wasn't sure what floor he was on, but he was going down the stairs. How was he getting tired? In his prime he would have run up these stairs and back down at full speed twice a day for fun. Now he was out of breath by the time he had gone down just three flights. Nevertheless he kept running, for some reason he felt obligated to stop the thieves.

Riding the elevator down towards the garage was a relief. Only the easier part of the plan remained: ride the swoop bike, and have Xiann smuggle it off world. Lani allowed herself some reprieve from the past tension and "keeping it cool". She chuckled heartily at Drast's comments, and even slipped in her own pun: "I dunno, pushing buttons seems pretty fun," She winked at Xiann, who seemed to be an expert in the matter. "And I agree on the team thing. We should do that again some day." It was as if the job was already over.

Then Xiann asked a question about the Force, and Lani could only shrug, tilting her head towards Drast for another pun: "Ask the one who carried this op. He's been around, and I'm pretty new to this whole Jedi gig myself. Kori... My sister could probably force the lock. But... It'll be long before I reach that level." The Zeltron shrugged, surprised at herself how easily she admitted her incompetence. "I may've learned a trick or two, but still can't get behind some of the philosophical stuff."

...

With that, she'd let the more experienced Padawan do the rest of the explanation. But eventually, the elevator would stop at the desired level, and Lani livened up again. If her "partners in crime" were too slow, she'd probably even try to slip past them out the elevator. Pressing the fob, she'd hear a ping farther up ahead. That added to the excitement, as Galania paced towards the prize.

And lo and behold, there it was: an almost vintage repulsor bike. Its black metal almost called the Zeltron towards it. "Come to Tallis," she'd hum with a wide grin, throwing her leg over the frame and literally sliding into the saddle. After looking at her sister's bike with unusual reverence—even stroking the frame briefly—she finally slipped in the key and turned it.

The machine roared and hummed to life, its engine rumbling loudly, before calming down almost to a purr. "You were saying?" the leather-clad Zeltron cast a glance at Drastus, who promised to show his ride. "Sorry, but I think I win," it was a friendly quip, no arrogance in it whatsoever, but the Zeltron couldn't resist.

"Treat her right, eh?" Lani addressed the Twi'lek, who was supposed to disassemble the bike somewhere and sneak it on board a Jedi ship. But to do that, they'd probably need to get the bike some place safe. The bag too. For all its style, the Starhawk could only carry two people. And not the bag. Decisions had to be made...

"Oh trust me, it is great fun." Drast said with a wry smile to Lani's quip. At Xian's question, he scratched his jaw. "Truthfully? I probably shouldn't have even been brought to Ajan Kloss. I can do minor things with the Force, but I know my way around a scrap. Kinda think my old Master just wanted to get me off Corellia. Pulled me from the gutter and whatnot." he said with a shrug.

He'd then laugh "I am still as confused now as the first day I arrived on Ajan Kloss. I'm sure you'll both fare much better than I did. As for carrying the op, I'm probably a buck short in weight. I would need to carry both of you as well to do that."

When she fired up her fancy new speeder, Drast couldn't help but admire the leather a bit more before focusing on the speeder, even giving an appreciative whistle. "She sure is beautiful." he said with a grin. "..But.. mine can have some fun too. Ya know, I could probably haul it with my speeder, keep one of you in the back with the bag and have the other ride the speeder."

Xiann was slightly cheered up by the others' level of inexperience and confusion around the whole Jedi and Force subject. Her smirk returning as they reached the garage, she nudged Drast slightly as they stepped out, “You think you can ‘carry’ ladies like us looking like that?” She let out a chuckle skipping forward, “You’d have to be the luckiest man alive.” Turning to look over her shoulder with a wry grin, “But nothing’s impossible I suppose.”

The roar of an engine made her turn to look at the source, Galania was sitting on what was presumably her sister’s swoop. Xiann let out a whistle as she approached, “Beauty. Starhawk, right? I’ve seen a few around, and if I remember rightly…” The Twi’lek leaned over Galania in the seat and reached under her opposite leg and after a couple of seconds of fidgeting a metallic snap could be heard, “There we go.” She pulled out a small metallic cylinder and smiled at the Zeltron as she straightened back up, “Best to remove the trackable signals when stealing things. Honestly, where would you two be without me.”

Xiann did also notice the lack of cargo and passenger room, “So, who’s riding what?” She paused as her brain registered that sentence before pointing at Drast, “Not a word, pretty boy.” The woman shook her head slightly, she should probably think before she spoke more often. “Well, as you already have the bag, why don’t you two ride together, and I’ll go with Galania. That way, if we do attract attention and you draw them off, I can start to take this one apart before we get caught?”

"Kriffing stairs!" Kel Rollan was finally almost to the bottom of the stair well, when he managed to miss a step. Somewhere in his years of training something managed to break through and remind him to tuck and roll as he finished his the final flight in record time. The man forced himself to his feet, body reminding him of every step he didn't miss on his way down, and began limping out the stairwell into the garage.

Kel could hear the voices of the thieves throughout the garage. Which proved he was somewhere close. He forced himself to limp faster, they were somewhere around here. The sound of an engine turning on gave him another hint and Kel turned a corner to spot the thieves.

"Stop! Thieves!" The former Jedi was trying to run after the three thieves but his leg still refused to cooperate. He reached down for a blaster but his hand found air instead. Where the kriff had that thing ended up? Another considered going to the lightsaber but he hesitated. No, he would not use that here. Not for a bunch of thieves on Coruscant, the risk was to great. The former exile leaned against a speeder in the garage, breathing heavily. "Caught ya'll. You all just stay here until the police show."

The appreciation that her friends gave to her sister's her swoop made the Zeltron's face mellow with a wide grin. Lani leaned backwards in her seat, resting her arms behind her on the saddle to give Xiann more room. Thee Twi'lek could've walked around the swoop and reached for the tracker more easily, but Lani didn't mind at all. As the Twi'lek straightened up, the Zeltron tilted her head to the right again. The smirk on her face became wry, as Lani found just the perfect comeback: "In -my apartment- upstairs. Alone. With the safe still locked, and no alarms." The Rutian wasn't the only one who could play that game.

Xiann's question and immediate realization of her mistake made the Zeltron giggle. "Oh, I know what I'm riding tonight," she patted the black metal of the Starhawk. The rest of the gang needed to make a choice, and Xiann's was the most logical. "Yeah..." Lani mumbled, catching on to some disturbance in the distance. She still finished the phrase that was on her mind, although the delivery was rather absent minded. "You want to drive, or should I..."

"Stop! Thieves!" Lani gasped as she heard that. Exactly the kind of kark she wanted to avoid! For all her pseudo-criminal bravado at the apartment, the Zeltron had never been in a situation like that before. The hungover and indignant bowl of street justice limped towards them at the best speed it could to afford. Before it stopped to catch a breather, the Zeltron was already pushing buttons, making the swoop raise above the ground slightly. In the commotion, she didn't even notice whether the guy was armed. All that mattered is not getting caught.

"D, the bag!" the young Zeltron would yell, patting the seat behind her and extending her right arm. The guy was slow and limping, but running from him with the bag would still be a poor idea. Naturally, D or X could have other ideas in the heat of the moment. Perhaps even the backseat was already occupied by one of them. Pushing Lani onto the backseat was also on the table.

Drast would grin at Xiann "Trust me, I got to spend the day with you two, so I already got buckets of luck." There had to have been absolutely nothing about his current view that he -couldn't- enjoy, so he would bite his lower lip and enjoy the festivities for a moment in silence. "I know what I'm riding tonight and who knows, we can always come back once they reset the alarm."

He scratched his jaw. "True, you ladies do already look so comfortable. I'll take the bag with me the-"

"Stop! Thieves!"

Drast would look to the source, cursing before his hands moved to Xian's hips and he guided her to the backseat of the speeder. "You two, go! I'll catch ya at the meetup, yeah?" his gaze shifted back to the very sickly looking man. He couldn't tell if the man looked like death? Or like he was wishing for death. Either way, there seemed to be a simple solution.

It was true the bag was heavy, but he had no plans to slow the girls down anymore than they already would be. And, he had no intention of running. He called the Force to him, allowing it to course through his body, and instead of a mighty force push to topple the crazy homeless man, it would be a rather forceful weight against his stomach, enough to want to make those insides churn and leave him vomiting or rather, want to vomit. With so much of that distraction, he looked to the ledge of the garage, three levels up still. No matter. The force seeped into those muscles and he'd beeline for the edge, leaping over it and down to the street below, and with it, his ride.

Xiann grinned, “The key word there is ‘locked’. Sure there’d be no alarms but then you wouldn’t have your-”

“Stop! Thieves!”

Xiann spun on her heels to see a man on death's door attempting to not eject his lungs. Apparently that silent alarm triggered pretty quickly if this mess of a guard had managed to catch up to them. She watched as Drastus jumped over the ledge, well he sure was trusting in his jedi powers. Then the Twi’lek was suddenly hit with an upsetting thought, her friends had never been in this situation before. At least as far as she knew. She would have to think quickly to try and shake this guy to avoid either of them getting caught and possibly punished back at the temple.

“Yes, we know there is a thief. That’s why we were about to give chase when you rolled through the door.” She gestured to the signal tracer on her wrist and the blasters on her thighs, “We’ve been tracking her for a while, big bounty.” She quickly turned and hopped on the speeder behind Galania. She wrapped her hands around the driver’s waist before looking back to the sickly man, “So how about you wait here for the police and tell them Drasni Talahr will be handed in shortly.” She squeezed on Galania to get going, “Oh and maybe take the elevator next time!”

Kel Rollan tried very hard to suppress the feeling to puke. He could have sworn he felt the human call on the force but there was no way that was possible. Then he stared in disbelief as the human thief ran from the speeder, then jumped off a ledge. Part of his mind told him there was only one group of people insane enough to jump off a ledge without even looking but he squashed that idea. There was no way these kids were Jedi. There was no way the Jedi were going to let a bunch of kids galavant across Coruscant without any supervision from a Jedi Knight.

The former Jedi nearly cried as the vomit that was attempt to exfiltrate his stomach was finally suppressed and he began running again. There was no way he was going to be even remotely responsible for some kid becoming a splatter against the streets of Coruscant. He ignored the half baked excuses coming from the Twi'lek and the Zeltron. They barely looked old enough to drive a speeder let alone be bounty hunters. "Stay here!" He shouted at the pair while he began to pick up speed. Part of him deep down expressed doubt at what he was about to do. He hadn't called upon the force in years, and he was about to use it to slow his fall, slow the fall of another Human, and avoid becoming a stain against the ground beneath. For some reason he couldn't convince that part of his brain it was possible.

The railing as Kel approached seemed surprisingly short. The fact that he could just reach out with one hand to vault the railing seemed absolutely obscene. What if he had fallen by accident, this would barely stop a small child let alone a full grown adult. Kel's mind seemed to be focusing on everything but the task at hand. Kel took a deep breath while he fell, trying to let the force flow through him, hand reaching out to the falling human to slow their fall. Kel realized his eyes were closed and opened them, his attempt wasn't working. Worse yet, Kel was surprisingly close to the ground now. He once again reached out to at least slow his fall, pouring his entire will into the effort. Once again he opened his eyes to find himself moving just as fast as he was before. "Kkkkkkrrrrrrriiiiiiiiffffffffffff!"

Kel hit the ground hard. Somewhere in his mind something told him to roll and he had tried. The end result being him somehow on his back, on the ground, and every bone and muscle in his body screaming. He was angry now. He forced himself to his feet, ignoring the fact that one of his arms refused to respond to him. He looked around for the human. They were going to pay for this.

"What a mess!" Drast made a gesture that clearly did something, and then... Jumped over the railing like the drop was nothing! Xiann kept her cool and stalled their pursuer with some talk, while getting aboard the speeder. Then the old weirdo... just jumped over the railing too? The kark was wrong with them guys?!

The Twi'lek's arms wrapping around the Zeltron's waist would feel the trembling, and the swoop's engine wasn't the only thing to blame. Lani's heart was pumping from the thrill; ears and cheeks were so red as if on fire. A squeeze from Xiann finally made Lani gun it, and the swoop dashed off further into the garage.

A wild grin appeared on Galania's face. She had almost everything she needed from Coruscant, and they were karking home-free! The Zeltron sent the swoop into a drifting U-turn, before gunning straight for the railing, slightly off from where the guys had jumped. "Hold tight!" she yelled to the passenger, pressing a few buttons. For a moment, it seemed like the swoop would do a wheelie, forcing the Zeltron to hold on to the handlebars.

But then the Starhawk rode over the railing and entered free-fall, making Lani squeal in delight. The repulsors would dampen the blunt of the impact, but the bike would still rock the Zeltron and the Twi'lek. They saw the weirdo trying to get up on his feet, and Lani gave him a wide berth. If Drast's landing was any better—and it probably was—they'd see him making the getaway. If so, Lani would just gun it again, elated. "Where to now?" she almost laughed as she addressed her passenger.

Since his days of crime on Corellia, Drastus had learned one thing: Always have an exit strategy. And this, was his. Given the height of the garage, no sane person would ever chase after him and the awe would surely buy the girls some time. Being younger, much more athletic, and already using the Force, Drast would stick the landing before recovering to his feet with a roll. Bag tucked around the back, he looked up just in time to see the crazed spice head leaping after him.

Now, the dude may have been crazy, possible had that strain of spice that made him eat faces or something, Drastus wasn't sure. But he wasn't going to let the man just splat. He'd dig deeper with the Force, trying to cushion the fall just a little bit. It seemed like it worked, maybe not good enough, but the guy wasn't dead. As Kel rolled slowly over, Drast looked to the growing onlookers. "Help! This guy is trying to abduct me and throw me into his speeder!"

Several construction workers would look at Kel before walking over. "Hey pal, you some kinda creep?" a large Faleen would say.

"Yeah, what's the matter with ya?" the Nikto would say.

Grinning at the new distraction, Drast would look up in time to see the girls soar overhead. With the workers and other onlookers starting to swarm Kel, the young Padawan would dart away, sliding over the hood of a stopped speeder as he crossed the street. He whistled as he came up on his ride. "Oh baby, I love me my Eggo!" opening the hatch, he climbed in and powered up the engines. Over the police band, he could hear a call coming in.

"All units, we have reports of an attempted kidnapping. Human male, looks disheveled, possibly armed and dangerous. He was trying to take a kid."

That smile would broaden as he heard other units responding to the call. And with that, he kicked the blacked out egg into overdrive, shooting after the girls.
