Exodus Base 2814. Despite having gained some amount of freedom since she'd been promoted to her current class, Izumi was ultimately still shackled to the EvE base. She'd gotten back the previous night, not long after having completed her latest assignment which was a non-confrontational data extraction. She'd only been told the bare minimum about what it was that she'd actually been sent to steal, as usual, so she didn't really know much. Based on the location that the heavily encrypted files were stored in, she guessed that they were probably building plans of some sort.

It seemed like a trivial mission at first glance. A few years earlier, after Izumi had just recently begun being assigned to the field, she probably would have been annoyed at having to carry out such a "boring" task, but she knew better now. With the amount of locations that Scryers had to infiltrate or operate in, it was absolutely necessary for them to have the most recent and precise intelligence that they could get their hands on. Izumi couldn't even count the amount of times that being familiar with every intricacy of a particular building or area had saved her skin, so she had every reason to take intel gathering very seriously.

Having been pretty exhausted once she'd gotten back to the base, Izumi slept in until the early afternoon, at which point she finally woke up. The long night had done her a world of good, both mentally and physically, allowing her to "recharge her batteries", as it were. After getting her morning routine out of the way and getting something to eat, she slowly made her way towards one of the Praxeum's many training areas that wasn't currently occupied by any Curators giving lessons to younger Scryers. Taking it easy to give herself a bit of time to digest, Izumi started off with some stretching and warm up exercises.

Hopefully she'd receive another assignment soon enough and be sent back out on to the field, but while she was "home", she always made it a point to train very diligently in order to conserve her edge and perhaps even sharpen it further.

Of course, it wouldn't be normal for one such as Lasari to be in a base for the republic, especially one such as this. But neither the empire nor the republic held bounds on him. He was a free roaming spirit. He had enough power to resist the pull of either side. The republic had once before tried to employ him once he became Lasari, and the empire had a contract with his once darker half. Lasari was a neutral force in the galaxy.

Out of curiosity, though, he had sensed through the force that something was odd about the republic. He did investigations, and even followed a shadow that was watching his every move. They were good, no doubt, better than anyone else. But alas, he was even better. It was due to his time spent with 'Father' in the once alive cult known as Animus Manifesto. It was a cult that thrived in the shadows, and would never be known until their victim's death was at hand. It was because of this, that he remained invisible to the naked eye, and couldn't be sensed by the premature powers of this organization of force sensitives.

'Scryers,' they called themselves. They weren't force sensitives, either. They called themselves psionics. Lasari found this very interesting, and a new view of the force. They weren't religious, but were still Jedi in a sense. The thing they lacked were fine tuning of their force adept, and lightsabers. There was one of these Scryers that caught Lasari's eye, though. It was a girl, beautiful and proud. She looked to be still in training, but was a skilled fighter. He could sense that.

Curious about this organization and its members, he decided to trick this girl's mind and lead her into a private location, then reveal himself to her.

As she stretched, he created an illusion of a shadow to her side through the force, that disappeared behind a wall. It would lead her astray. Then, he would run off behind her and wait in hiding, throwing her off with voices he would whisper in her head, telling her to go in his direction. He knew it would work. He knew...

Aside, from that Ms.Flowers was a solo Field Agent, On specialization Intoxication, And assassinations. He had rested, and decided to join a Agent in her duties, she was a C Class. Didn't matter and a very young aged female, she made her way towards the Girl And Spoke, She wore. Robe brown, long thin sword, Around her, a hidden gun. A Knife on her lower ankle hidden. As she Approached her she spoke."I am Death if you had noticed. I wel-"She stopped, He eyes flicked at the image that was disappearing and appearing in her point of view. And Spoke."We, have company. While you were on your last mission did you make sure you were not followed if you were, as Soon as I found out who's pulling this he'll or she'll will have his or her head cut in half, and feed to you."She said slowly.

Having heard the sliding doors to the training area open and close, Izumi glanced over in its direction to see who had entered. She vaguely recognized the young blonde haired girl, having walked by her in the Praxeum's halls before, but beyond that they'd never really met or spoken. It wasn't all that surprising, considering that the two of them were in different Scryer classes, different age groups and that Izumi spent a lot less time within the EvE base than she used to before completing her training. Izumi hoped that the girl would just go about her own business while allowing her to do the same, but something told her that it wasn't going to play out the way she wanted.

At just about the same time, Izumi also suddenly felt an odd...irregularity in her immediate surroundings. Furthermore, she was almost certain that she'd seen something move from the corner of her eye behind the adolescent blonde, but at the same time she knew that it was impossible. There was nothing there, and nobody else was in the room other than herself and the other Scryer. Speaking of which, the exact thing that Izumi had been dreading happened as the girl came up to her and began introducing herself. She'd been looking forward to just doing her own thing and had no desire to entertain a teenager, but things actually took a turn for the even more bizarre.

Apparently, the girl - or Death, as she was apparently called - had picked up on the same odd feeling that Izumi had. It had to be the same thing, anything else would have been too great of a coincidence. Death's question earned her a rather frigid glance from Izumi, who certainly didn't appreciate being questioned by a trainee as if she didn't know how to cover her own tracks. "Be quiet," she swatted Death's comments away sharply. "And stay out of my way." Brushing by the younger Scryer, Izumi headed towards the nearest weapon rack and grabbed one of EvE trademark Songsteel swords before continuing towards the door. She preferred the katana variants, but they weren't as readily available throughout the base since only the regular sword was standard.

Izumi knew that Death would undoubtedly follow her, as it wasn't in the nature of any Scyer to just let something go when they had even an inkling of suspicion, but she didn't have any time to waste on trying to restrain the girl. The faster she followed whatever or whoever it was that had been taunting her, the better her chances of success. Despite her best efforts not to, Izumi began to second guess herself, wondering if Death may have been right about her being followed. She'd been as thorough as ever, though, so it seemed unlikely to have been an oversight on her part. Plus, if someone had indeed managed to follow her all the way into EvE's top secret base and get past the extremely tight security, then they obviously wouldn't just accidentally be revealing themselves now.

With that in mind, Izumi prepared herself for the possibility that it was some sort of trap. Perhaps it was something else altogether, some sort of EvE project or test and that she had nothing to worry about, but it was in her nature to prepare for the worst. Stalking through the empty corridors, Izumi began to see shadows similar to the one in the training room at increasingly short intervals. At least she thought she did, but in the heat of the moment, her brain didn't really stop to consider that maybe she was hallucinating or having some sort of psychotic episode. Those sort of things certainly weren't unheard of amongst Scryers, which was no surprise considering some of the things that they had to undergo.

Over here, the first whisper said, pointing her down the halls in the direction he went to. They fell for it like kids in a candy store. He hadn't lost his edge. This way. Down there. The whispers led down a secluded stairway where almost no one had entered to his convenience. It was apparent this was an older section of the base. This way. Through the doors. The voice led her through a small storage room. Lasari was clinging to the ceiling as she entered, as well as her guest if she followed.

Without a moment's hesitation, Lasari fell to the ground with a quiet plop. He didn't stood straight up and was composed. He seemed flawless. To them, though, he was a pure shadow in the light. His face wasn't even visible. It was an illusion he created with the force, an old habit to keep his identity a secret. The robes were wrapped around him, but he kept his hands near his lightsabers.

"So glad you could make it," he said bluntly. "I am not an illusion, and you're not hallucinating. I created those illusions to lead you here." He didn't care for mind games, and if they were anything like him, they didn't either. He admitted to himself the illusions were for fun, but it was also to keep his identity from being directly compromised. "I must say, from one assassin to another, you're good for a non-cult member. I've never heard of the republic using force sensitives in such a way as yourselves. And you did cover your tracks well. I can hear your thoughts, though, and I must say, you and your kind are one very interesting breed."

Death didn't like this a Leak has entered a base that was never seen by any base unit, which troubled her. She was a Field agent as well but this was worse. She went towards the weapons cabinet. Took a sniper rifle out and ammo, she hooked the sniper rifle on her back, and the ammo in her pockets. She begun to past through the halls, follow the Girl silently. Making sure the girl did not notice her. As she followed she begun to think, if there was someone that got in the inside, then they would need to be killed on sight, no one in history has gotten in the base and gotten out alive. She went slowly, as the doors, opened she also this time followed in and slid in side, she did not grab her sniper, but had her hand right hand over her hilt gripping it hardly by the handle. As She begun to see some form of ghost. Or some what in her mind.

"Well? Can you speak? I promise you're no match with me in swordplay," Lasari said with confidence. He had been fighting with lightsabers since before they were born. It would've been useless to challenge him. He wouldn't underestimate, but he knew his strength level, and it wasn't stopping there. "Perhaps if I warm up to you, I'll let you see my face," he said. He then allowed the illusion of a large mouth with white, sharp teeth to smirk at them.

She smiled with a large grin on her face as she spoke. ”You are a follow if you think I am going fight a animal without anything with me. I will get eaten alive. I’ll give you a little tip. I do not use blasters I use something Lightsaber can’t defect and Hard for force users to Dodge, You will die in this base. To be honest I do not believe your alive. Meaning you seem real but your more like a ghost in my mind with no soul or body playing mind games on us.”Her left hand was placed near her robe, shifting raising towards her gun a slugthrower Bullet made not blaster, But bullets something that will be harmfully to force users. While maintaining her right hand was on the hilt of the handle of her sword.

(OOC: You realize bullets dissintegrate once hit by the blade of a lightsaber, right? And Force users feel the direction of fire through the force. Not only that, Lasari's a master level.)

"Don't think that works with me either, child," Lasari said. "You couldn't hit me even if you tried. Believe me when I say I'm not hear to kill, though. It's not time for that yet. I'm here out of curiosity. Care to explain this establishment? Or I could simply read your minds. Whichever you choose," he said. The mouth reappeared over his black, image-less face.

(I know the your master level. It doesn't stop me testing my theory.)

She sighed as he said about the base establishment at that point, she pulled her gun from her robe, clocked the safety off and pulled the trigger her motion was fast. And the bullet was even faster. He had little time to react. In her meaning her philosopher was That a bullet can wound and kill a force user. If hit the bullet would hit his soul or flex the middle section of his body. Hopefully it hit.

(But a bullet that powerful? That can almost instantly kill or heavily injure a force user? And can pass through a lightsaber? That's godmodding dude.)

As if the force was showing him a scene from a different angle, he noticed Death pull out a small pistol. The pistol was aimed at his center, and was fired. He had a split second to react, but through the force, he already saw it coming. Lasari quickly dodged the bullet. It passed by him and hit the wall behind him. He laughed. "Do you think a mere precussion weapon could kill me? It'll take more than that, my friend," he said.

ADMIN: I'd like to make a couple things clear, since there seems to be a bit of confusion in this thread about certain gun-related things.

First, we will never, ever, ever allow an insta-kill saber-defeating megabullet of awesome. It's just not happening and if I ever see one used I'll turn your bullet into a harmless marshmallow that rejuvenates your foe.

Secondly, a lightsaber is useless against a bullet. It will vaporize a bullet, but it won't deflect it. Furthermore, a bullet is impossible to see when it's moving, nigh-impossible to dodge at close range, and behaves nothing at all like it does in the movies. However, a ranged weapon can be pretty useless against a Force User, especially an experienced one since they have Force Speed and, while they may not outrun a bullet, they can certainly use Speed in conjunction with other abilities to enable them to dodge a split second before you actually shoot, allowing them to fairly easily dodge single shots.

Now, that said, there is also no such thing as a bullet that will hurt a 'soul'. It's impossible to hit a soul with a physical projectile and we're not going to allow soul-killing bullets. There's also no such thing as a bullet that is super effective against Force Users, for the same reasons it's impossible to make a bullet that can hit a soul. We're just not going to let it happen.

Lastly, Zen, I'd just like to remind you that your char is fourteen. She wouldn't have the skill, the experience, the physical strength, or the training to truly challenge a Master, and handling her weapons with any speed or finesse would be pretty tough.

Also, Luminous, please put a little more into your defensive posts than 'he dodged the bullet', since that in and of itself qualifies as godmodding. ;) Explain how you dodged the bullet and why it was feasible; that'll avoid any issues in the future.

Anyways, that's just me looking to eliminate any problems from this thread before they start. Please continue, and remember, I shall be watching you.

Always.

"Enough!" Izumi commanded harshly as she stepped forward and slapped the barrel of Death's gun so that it was pointing towards the floor. Unlike the younger Scryer, she realized all too clearly that they would be no match for the mysterious intruder. They'd need either an S-class or an entire quad of A and B agents to even stand a chance, and it seemed unlikely that the powerful force user standing in front of them would allow them to call for backup. "You'll have to forgive the rookie." Izumi tone had cooled down considerably, giving her an air of calmness. "It would seem that she's yet to grasp the basic principles of diplomacy."

The situation was already quite tense, but such instances were usually where Izumi was at her best. She prided herself on her ability to deal with the unexpected, but handling this particular problem would still prove challenging nonetheless. To make matters worse, it was quite difficult to think clearly knowing that the veiled assassin could read her thoughts. Izumi had to put a good deal of effort into masking them while simultaneously trying to think and speak; no small task, even for her.

"Where were we? I suppose you already know my name and a good deal more about me already, so an introduction would be redundant. What brings you here?" Izumi asked the question directly without being forceful. "You've taken a great risk in coming her, there must be a reason. You've put us both in quite...compromising positions as well, so perhaps if you tell us what you're looking for, we can find a solution that suits all parties." She held her sword non-threateningly at her side, pointed towards the ground since she was still wearing her training clothes and had no scabbard or clip.

Whatever the stranger's reply, she was practically sure that things would get complicated, especially with Death's involvement. The girl had already proven to be a bit of a loose canon and hadn't demonstrated the best judgment by any means, which didn't please Izumi at all. Still, she needed as much information as she could get before committing to any particular course of action, so she hoped that the mysterious guest was still in a chatty mood despite Death's futile attempt on his life.

"Ah, one with reason. Izumi, if I may say, my reasons for being here are simple; to find out more about Eve and its purposes. I'm no spy of any sorts, and have no ties to anyone, not even the Republic or the Empire. I'm a rogue, I guess you could say," Lasari explained.

"And I will not show my true face until I know I can trust you both. After what had just happened, though, my trust for you has been reduced to about ten percent. Work it up higher, and perhaps I'll let you see what I look like."
