"Then why do we have lightsabers if it's easier? A Lightsaber and a Blaster are both weapons that can make things easier. A Blaster on the other hand has a stun setting. Lightsabers, do not. Knowledge I imagine can be the same yes? Like Sith Lightning and Electric Judgement." He asked, tilting his head a bit.

Taruna winced a little but listened until the student finished talking. She talked herself into this and of cours was now responsible to explain.

"Lightsabers, although mine do have the option to be set to training settings are no exception to the weapon. But that makes us what we are, and there even are situations that can be solved by just having the hilt in your hand, not even ignited. But we as Jedi are expected to use it responsible and wise. Here, the experience comes into play. The longer you have it, the less you use it. It's your mental strength that determines if the lLightsaber is actually an option or not.

"Which more often than not if a lightsaber is drawn, it's probably needed, but that's not to say there have been times where it was highly questionable about the use of the weapon, or times where it was downright wrong, but we're not omnipotent. We can't save everybody or always make good calls. I believe the goal here though is to at least try." Khivas said, chiming in after letting Kade have the floor for a bit.

"As for myself at least, from personal experience, every single time my weapons were ever drawn, it was the last resort available. Jedi Hunters are no joke, and neither is Cartel muscle, and whenever one of those guys found me, there wasn't much left in the ways of options."

"That is in my opinion a good approach. Keep the Lightsaber one of the last options, but do not hesitate to draw if if necessary. How and when to use it, however remains your final decision and is only governed by your conscience"

She nodded at the Class
