I did delete, because it wasn't right for me to say it. But I've also actually contributed to this thread, something you haven't done.

Alright, children, go to your separate corners, drink a juice box, and relax. We're making good progress here, I hope you're not going to let personal squabbles derail this effort for the thousandth time.

A'den and Nalla, whatever your issues are with each other, drop it. If you're unable to have a discussion with each other, don't talk to one another.

Okay, dropped.

Now, Ralif, what probability do you think we have of making this council idea working?

Well considering that the Separatists/Corden already support such an idea, and have been campaigning for it for a while, I'd say the chances are pretty good lol.

EDIT: Actually, come to think of it, didn't this idea get approved just before the schism? The Council of Alore or something like that?

The Council of Alore was a band aid to try to fix the leadership issue. It didn't.

Right, I think we can all see that it didn't work. But it had been in existence...sort of. So it shouldn't be too difficult to pick it back up off the ground, kick the dust off the tires, and get it running again.

Aye. It would be serving an entirely different purpose though, wouldn't it? TO help out the FL, make sure he doesn't get overworked, etc. What vision did you have for the councils role exactly, Ralif? I'm don't recall you saying.

Similar to the Dark Council and the Jedi Council, really. Create both an IC and OOC network/support structure for the FL to work with, so that - for better or for worse - everything doesn't fall squarely on the FL's shoulders.

I have a helpful comment, as far as the problem we are having we have different people who have different beliefs on what Mandalorians are. There needs to be a defined compromise and definition of what we are as a faction. Obviously Honor, clan, and armor is important but we need to come together to make a defined mandalorian faction. Mixing some of both factions views and move along armor ranking system and faction allignment doesn't really matter we should address the core issue first

The way I've always seen it, is that as Mandalorians we should stick to the Six Actions, search for honor and glory through battle, and from there, it is simply up to the Mandalorian. I wouldn't have a problem with a Mandalorian whoring their strengths out, but I also wouldn't have a problem if that wasn't allowed.

I'd also like to see us go back to the days of the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders. In the sense, every Mandalorian would contribute to the society. We'd have farmers, welders, etc. That would also include a return to a more structured military and a set uniform.

But if we only get the former I'd be content. :3

And the way I see it defining an armor ranking system, faction alliance, etc is a way to define who the Mandalorians of present are. All the issues are important, no matter how small of an effect they'd have on people.

I agree Neo-crusaders were the epitome of Mandalorian power. However ICly Vencu gave the word of all mandalorians we would fight the GA in a certain sector to get our homes back...I suggest we do this and the leave our alliance with the empire as purely nonmilitary. That way they won't get pissed and we get to keep our homes. We can decide uniform and such later on we need to sit down as a faction and drop the sep and loyaltist bravado long enough to compromise to a degree even Old Spice would be happy, seeing she/he is the only one who wants a GA alliance. May I suggest that be the first topic in this thread.

My first point was in agreement, my second topic was finish the GA campaign, the third was saying after we don't fight for the empire but do not break the alliance, the forth was restating the need for complete compromise, the fifth was asking for opinions on all of the aboce

Hmm, I do agree we should launch a campaign against the Galactic Alliance. That is, if we ally with the Empire. (Which is pretty much already done.) I'm not sure why we would keep our alliance with them nonmilitary. I assumed we'd commit fleets upon fleets of troops for their war against the Galactic Alliance.

And yes, compromise is very much needed no matter what. Even after everyone is back together as Mandalorians, there will always be internal conflict no matter how much we try for there not to be any. Compromise is always needed.

I don't think you guys need a Council. One thing I'd been stressing in the Jedi Council board when discussions of additional Alliance councils came up was that you don't want to bureaucratize the faction too much. IMO, the best thing to do is to have the Clan leaders be Generals. Each clan leader, as General, is the leader of their individual Clan. When Mandalore gives orders, though, the Generals and Clans heed the call of Mandalore and carry out those order (unless the orders and/or Mandalore are stupid in which case a challenge could be issued).

IC, they don't form a Council. OOC, the FL and the Generals would be a group that can work well together. I just don't see the need to translate OOC cohesion into an IC Council, because that begins to bureaucratize a faction that otherwise doesn't need it.
