I don't appreciate disrespect. There are rules for misconduct, you know. This place has laws.

Going along with what Bac said...I feel like the Mandos would be awesomely suited for a feudal, Game of Thrones sort of system. The Mandalore would be equivalent of the King on the Iron Throne, and then each clan would be just like the Great Families. Ordos = Lannisters, Fetts = Starks, Vencus = Baratheons, etc etc etc

When looking at it from that perspective, it's actually a pretty boss idea.

I am Kiro. I support this message.

I don't think you guys need a Council. One thing I'd been stressing in the Jedi Council board when discussions of additional Alliance councils came up was that you don't want to bureaucratize the faction too much. IMO, the best thing to do is to have the Clan leaders be Generals. Each clan leader, as General, is the leader of their individual Clan. When Mandalore gives orders, though, the Generals and Clans heed the call of Mandalore and carry out those order (unless the orders and/or Mandalore are stupid in which case a challenge could be issued).

IC, they don't form a Council. OOC, the FL and the Generals would be a group that can work well together. I just don't see the need to translate OOC cohesion into an IC Council, because that begins to bureaucratize a faction that otherwise doesn't need it.

One thing that's been made abundantly clear since all this hooplah started back in October is that there are different ideas about who and what these Mandalorians should be. I don't think there's anything wrong with that. The Mandalorians, to me, could take a page from federalism. At the highest level, they're bound together by an executive leader and basic, accepted core ideas of what it means to be a group. Within the Clans, however, they could RP themselves according to the wishes of that Clan.

Clan A wants to be like the Neo-Crusaders? That's fine. Clan B wants to be Traviss Mandalorians? Sounds good.

So long as they have core accepted principles and beliefs for when they work together under Mandalore, how they carry those out amongst the Clans would be up to the individual Clans.

And given that the Clans would have their own Generals who lead them when not carrying out orders from Mandalore, that gives those Clans freedom to carry out Clan-specific missions and what not specific to how they carry out their beliefs and so forth.

^ That's exactly what the Seps have now and I've wanted the same for the main faction for quite some time. Read the Sep write-up. Look back at the discussion threads... I've brought up ideas like this many times, but it looks like everyone is discovering them for the first time in this thread.

U know I was thinking of this the other day. a leader, a vice leader, then a chief of each clan.

**** me; there are going to be only two people in House Skirata (me and Nalla I think). Maybe if I named it House Sriracha, more people would join?

That's still more than the Bralor clan.

If you need more people for your clan I could have either Kaitos or Nadleeh join the clan, as neither is part of any clan yet.

There are other Skirata characters I know, but I'm not sure if the players are active or not. Once we have a more structured clan thread (like the Sep one) out I'm sure we'll see more Skirata players. :3

Seeing that you would have to start as Verd and work your way back up just like I did...it might be a while before that goal is achieved. Trust me I am just now about to hit captain and I have a Aliit of nine pcs

All you have to do is take the initiative, build it up, and it'll be yours to lead.

I'm making plans for Clan Bralor, and so I'm working on that.

But I like the idea of each Clan having a different theme and role within the Mandalorians. (Note, the following are just examples) The Fetts being the neo-neo-Crusaders, shock troop specialists. The Ordos being Supercommandos, and rangers/special forces. The Bralors as the old-school Crusaders, and Marines and pilots.

Seeing that the Fetts are producing ARC and Rapid Response Squads...I don't think Shock Troops fit their MO but I like the idea

As said, they were just examples to illustrate the general concept.

Let each Clan be an entity unto itself, with it's own theme, concept, etc.
