In the midst of the chaos caused by the return of the Killiks, it seemed that sense of peace had shattered like the crashing of a stone through a still pond. Serenity crushed and security obliterated, all sense of safety and normalcy had been leeched from the galaxy. The Empire seemed no different. When reports of missing Sith Acolytes began to flutter upon the breeze of local rumor, panic was quick to follow. Like a wildfire, the fear of a Killik attack had rushed across the cities of Dromund Kaas. It didn't take long for local news outlets to pick up the story, either. And now, it seemed, the threat of Joined Acolytes was being taken far more seriously, at least in public. Sol had little doubt that the Empire had been doing it's own investigation, but the nosiness of holonet fanatics and citizens alike had now forced everything into the light.
The Kel'dor disembarks the transport shuttle with his saber at his belt, his ornate armor glistening in the humid light. The sound of machinery and insects fill the atmosphere with exotic ambience. The steps of the Academy still looked so new. Sol had not been long into his role as a Champion when the Academy had been bombed, nearly three years ago. It didn't seem that long in the past, with how clearly the Kel'dor could recall the devastation as videos of smoldering ruin circulated the Holonet, and now it was being reconstructed anew. Ah, but it was best not to be distracted, particularly with a mysterious threat on the loose. Whatever it was, it was targeting the Acolytes. If they had been Joined by the Killiks, none had yet made a suspicious re-appearance. Furthermore, no remains had been found of any bodies. All that was known was that something was hunting any Sith who dared step foot within the swampy wilderness of the ancient world.
Before Sol could make his way into the jungle, though, he would first have to meet those who would be joining him on this mission.
