Name: Cydavesse (invader in the native tongue)
Biology: Unlike baseline humans there is no significant height difference between males and females, though on average the male tends the be the strongest of the two making the excellent warriors and blacksmiths, while the females are more learned and agile making them great assassins and poison makers. They used to have golden brown skin, crimson red eyes, and blonde hair until they began to mate with the native species who had pale skin, bleached white hair, and naturally blind, instead seeing with the force. The combination created the Cydavesse a species powerful in the dark side. Through generations of being exposed to the dark side nebulae, their skin has become translucent and thin being able to see the veins and muscles clearly on their body. The Cydavesse can see clearly at night with their black eyes and slightly purple irises but have a hard time seeing in bright/ultraviolet light. Though, they would do well with seeing on a monitor or datapad, their eyes would have a hard time adjusting to bright rooms and planets during the day. Due to their natural weakness to light if they're skin is exposed to ultraviolet light, then they are subject to very bad sunburns, blisters, and get easily fatigued. As a defense most that travel off world wear special make-up sunscreen cream that allows them to carry out day to day life without suffering the more extreme consciousnesses from traveling during the day. They live very abnormal and cruel lives. The more a Cydavesse gains pleasure from witnessing pain and struggle the more powerful in the force they become and the more long lived they are. Though strangely enough most wouldn't seem to age like most other beings. Most Cydavesse would seem very young for their age. This is due to their culture of human perfection and as such undergo many plastic surgery procedures. Perfecting the art, someone who is reaching a hundred years old would seem like a regular young adult. Due to the cold nature of Asharte, most Cydavesse have a natural resistance to the cold being able to survive where most humans cannot, but as a result don't like the heat. The dark side spirit that lives within the nebulae has made a deal with the species and in return for thousands of sacrifices he has granted them unnaturally long life spans and the ability to feel more alive with every ounce of suffering they dish out.
Subspecies: The Cydavesse are an offshoot of the human species, possessing a variety of similarities and can be easily mistaken for a pale (or deceased) human. They are a mixed breed between the native species of Asharte who are mystical and ritualistic in nature and the Dark Sided outcast humans.
Breeding: Like regular humans, though very slowly. The Cydavesse have an extremely low fertility rate and its common for couples to try for decades before producing viable offspring. Even if a female were to be impregnated she would show no signs as the fetus is extremely small and hard to detect. As a result, birth happens unexpectedly and the newborn is would be the size of a palm. This is because during the early years of them on Asharte, the desert beasts would specifically target Cydavesse and Native pregnant woman. Exact gestation periods are unknown but usually take around several years. This allows the fetus to adapt to the mother's diet and retain some of her memories to better survive. For their first years they age like any other human but plateau during their early adult years, showing no sign of aging for many years mostly due to their culture of plastic surgery. Breeding with other races is extremely rare and but does produce viable offspring only in the case of woman. Men can reproduce with other humans just fine. As an aside most if not all Cydavesse are pan-sexual, where being purely heterosexual or homosexual is extremely rare.
Strengths: The Cydavesse value education very highly, so most of which would be very intelligent. They're more agile than the average human and can see in the dark. Their culture values human perfection so most of them would be in excellent health and heal quicker in darkness.
Weaknesses: Due to their off putting appearances and arrogance they have trouble fitting in on other worlds. Without make-up they are easily hurt by direct sunlight and are seen as extremely ugly by human standards. Artificial light doesn't affect them, but direct sunlight causes burns and in rare cases ultraviolet light can even turn their skin to ash.
Diet: They grow hungry like most other humans, but have a taste for more extravagant food. Most Cydavesse are omnivores and hold no qualms cannibalizing other sentient beings.
Behavior/Temperament: All Cydavesse are extremely arrogant and selfish and as don't venture far from their homeworld. Due to inbreeding within their social structure, most if not all of the social elite suffer from sort of mental disability or split personality. Most Cydavesse youth (12-100 years old) can be seen as risk takers and thrill seekers, while the older ones are normally lazy and apathetic.
Communication: They speak basic, Cydavesse, and the native language, though most frown on speaking the native language.
Culture: Most slaves on Asharte are either worked to death or become warriors in their military; slaves that are granted addition benefits and perks equal to that of a regular elite, though, most prove their loyalty through a series of rigorous tests. Most Cydavesse are born in the rich social class enjoying vibrant paintings and sculptures, eating out in fancy restaurants, and all around living very luxurious life uncommon for people living on the edge of wildspace. If there were a middle class then it would be guests to Asharte, such as vacation goers and tourists. The Cydavesse hold no qualms with enslavement and most believe that it is within their right to enslave lesser races, as such all free Cydavesse own slaves and use them to do even the most mundane of activity such as making breakfast and turning on a television. They hold education in high regard and as such most boast a considerable amount of intelligence. In addition to being a will learned race, the Cydavesse has a strong warrior culture and most men participate in the arena fighting slave and beast alike.
History: The Cydavesse do not come from Asharte. They are outcasts that were corrupted by the dark side and sent to roam the unknown regions. The humans left to roam were so drenched in the dark side some historians believe that they were more god-like than human. It wasn't until they started to breed with the natives that they lost their godliness some say. Their skin turned from a golden brown to a sickly pale, and their golden hair turned to a sickly white like their native cousins. The Cydavesse lived in peace as they allied and conquered other tribes. It wasn't until hundreds of years later when the Cydavesse built the Dark City did they forget about their native cousins. The natives were seen as second class citizens. Almost treated as badly as slaves, most went back to the dark lands to continue to live how their ancestors did, though some stayed. The Cydavesse became the dominant race on the planet and became a space faring people who conquered and enslaved everyone who was stupid enough to oppose them. Most people they came across came in peace and had little resistance due to little super powers patrolling the unknown regions.
Planet: Asharte
Technology: Relatively on par with most space faring societies. Asharte is home to one of the greatest spaceports and astronomers, as well as perfecting the art of plastic surgery.
Magic: Most Cydavesse don't recognize the Force and are ignorant to the fact that the Dark Side is present within all of them. Some of the more powerful Cydavesse become force users, though normally keep this power for themselves. The Archon is believed to be one of the sources of Dark Side energy in the galaxy, feeding off of the pain of all sentient beings. The Native species are able to enact ritualistic powers, but are extremely rare even within their ranks. Cydavesse are notable powerful in the force due to the fact that they gain strength due to the suffering and implied suffering of others.
Intent: Me and Pureblood-Sin found that when making our characters that their traits were enough to justify creating a new race entirely.
