I've been in the U.S for about a year now.
Just got my mission; Going back to Afghanistan for another Combat Tour.
I was transferred from a Returning Unit to a Unit thats about to leave so I guess thats just my damn luck. :CFuu

****ing lucky, I'm begging to get deployed. I was supposed to go to a unit going to Afghanistan in October, but my current company just got back in April. I'm going to be under the wire till 2013 now. Hopefully the company going to Iraq in Feb asks for volunteers.

Nope, all the Army wore berets. It was their cover when they went outside, but now they have to wear the patrol caps. HAHAHA @ Hunter! He is so pissed about it!

The Rangers were pissed when the brass decided to give everyone black berets. It used to just be worn by them, so Hunter you know what you gotta do to get your beret back. Join the Rangers.

Damn straight. The beret is what got my initial interest in the Army over other branches. I want a badass uniform.

They still use tan, and that is mostly infantry. MPs hardly get selected for ranger school. Airborne still has maroon, and SF still has green. Whenever we wear our Class A's/ASUs, our headgear is the beret still, so that's when I can wear my black one.

Btw Quill and Markus, where are you guys stationed at?
