Young Jedi Taoré Timarick, and his companion, Adonia, raced as fast as they could up the spire. Due to unforseen events just as they landed on Coruscant, Adonia`s master, Matsu Ike, had been called away on assignment by the Jedi Order, leaving them to essentially fend for themselves. Taoré did not like this at all: Bad enough that he, the Maverick Jedi, had sensed a dark force on Tython that only HE, and NONE of the other Jedi was able to sense, yet killed a technician but not himself; let alone dragging another Padawan into his own plight. His late Master, Ty Eid, would probably never let him get away with what he was about to do next, but it did not matter to him. Somebody, somebody in power, had to know what was going on; before matters turned worse.
He looked over at Adonia, calm and collected as she looked on the outside, he could sense her worry as well: It was less about the Dark Side that had been plaguing them since Tython, but also brazenly "kicking in the door" towards the Council Chamber without permission. She felt more at ease than he did, but he had to admit: A room full of Jedi Masters is NOT a place one wants to be in lightly.
As the turbolift doors opened, he saw them: Some were hologrammed, some in the flesh. Even though one was sitting, The Battlemaster that allowed him to rejoin the Jedi in the first place, he still looked about as tall as he himself was. In the middle sat another hooded and cloaked. Taoré could feel the Force flowing around him like a powerful waterfall. Suddenly as he stepped inside, Adonia right behind him, he began to think that this probably wasn`t a good idea.
The all looked up at the two of them. As they did, Taoré could`ve sworn they knew he was coming (and he watched the Battlemaster almost want to groan). He was a maverick and never before had he realized that was an appropriate term.
just get it over with, kid. he thought to himself, allowing his mind to clear of all panic and emotion, knowing he had a job to do. He stepped inside, each step feeling more and more like walking on vibroblades.

Matsu hadn't been called away she just didn't want to see the council and she followed behind the two as she looked one. This was their moment she was just here to make sure they were safe.

Once again, Daisuke had been recalled from the field to meet with a member of the Order. He appeared in full battle dress, seated in a heavily reinforced seat to the side of the council chambers. His helmet rested upon his knee, while the feline leaned slightly to his left, elbow propped up against his armrest and his cheek resting upon the knuckles of his gauntlet. He'd been given a quick briefing on the reason for the meeting, but had opted to hear the full story from the Padawan slated to be arriving. One Taore Timarick.

The lad arrived in due time. Daisuke did not move nor immediately greet him, his right ear merely twitching idly as he watched the smaller male and his counterparts. One he did not recognize, one a Jedi Master. Matsu Ike. He frowned - the meeting was to be between the Council and Timarick. What business did Matsu have? And what business did the other have being present? He frowned, sitting upright e'er so slightly in his chair.

The room was empty save for himself, the padawans, and Ike. The holograms that had been present snapped out of existence, having been little more than a relatively mundane pre-recorded council meeting, dating from the Hutt Wars all those millennia ago. He took great interest in his predecessors, Huang Karasu and Weisheng Winters - the men were fascinating, as was Weisheng's successor, Jiang Winters. Fascinating indeed.

"Taore Timarick. Padawan, if I'm not mistaken. Welcome. The Council as a whole cannot assemble at this time; you will be meeting with me and me alone, I'm afraid."

He smiled, warmth spreading across the battlemaster's features. "Not to worry, though. I don't bite." He gestured to the center of the chamber, where a training mat had been tossed out. "Sit. As for your companions, I ask that they wait outside. I wish to hear the story from you and you alone. They may join us again once you've given your account of things."

The young Jedi did not wince at the gesture, but still masked his emotion with his dry wit.

"It would not be the first time, I've heard you say that, Battlemaster. After all, coming back into the Order, it was your vote that decided my permission to continue training despite my... Master's... untimely end." he said, his head sullen as thoughts of Ty Eid wavered his thoughts again.

He stepped forth, Adonia following, into the centre of the room.

"We bring a strange and bizzare emergency of sorts pertaining to events that have recently unfolded in the Jedi Temple on Tython." He began, keeping his voice steady; the guy was bigger than a Wookiee and looked twice as deadly.

"This is Padawan Adonia Xylona. She and I recently met during a training exercise when said events began to unfold. My droid had informed me of a murder taking place in the hangar of the Temple not too far from my ship. I raced to investigate, and Padawan Xylona followed. What we found on the surface appeared to be nothing but a dead body." He said, measuring his words to the Jedi Master.

"Until I, and I alone, sensed a strong surge of Dark Side energy pulsate throughout the place. Something that powerful, I was positive that anyone in the Temple could sense it, but they did not. Adonia was not even a foot from me and she couldn't sense anything. After doing what I could to learn about how the poor technician had passed, Adonia used a Force Light technique, revealing a sort of Black Hole in the Force. She couldn't sense it, but she too was now capable of seeing this void, as it drained all the light from the area she had created. When I approached it, it flung me back, but for some reason it did not kill me like it did the Technician and then began to scream in a language neither of us recognized.

"After reviewing some old holorecords dating as far back as the Hutt War, we came to the conclusion that an ancient spirit steeped in the Dark Side has risen once more... And it's somehow connected to me..."
he finished.

The Jedi Battlemaster was among the few that knew of Taoré's family lineage and of all the myths and legends of he being the reincarnated spirit of a powerful Jedi Knight across time, perhaps he knew something about this that he himself did not. He pondered this for a second himself, but realized that if he found said myths hard to believe, than a war hardened Jedi Master would probably agree with him.

"Hm. A wound in the Force. One tied to you. Interesting."

Daisuke's brow furrowed as the tiger-like alien stroked his chinfur. He was no expert on wounds or tears in the Force - he was a warrior, first and foremost. Philosophy was not his strong suit and had never been. He left matters of wisdom up to those wiser and more experienced than himself. Needless to say, he was a bit out of his element.

"How would you say it is tied to you, Taore? And why would it only repel you, not kill you outright? And how is it that only you can feel it, yet it can affect others around it? I've many more questions to ask after these, so please, take a seat. You might be here a while."

Taoré looked over at his companion and nodded. Without words asking she get some rest. It has been an ordeal and she too was out of her element. He would call when he needed her. As Adonia left with her Master, Taoré did as he was told (albeit snorting at the fact he just obeyed a direct order) and began to explain what he knew, which at best, was limited.

"Master, I would not call what I felt a wound in the Force, but more like... A portal. Because while it was a nexus of nothingness, the Dark Side of the Force was capable of penetrating through it and anything of the Light was sucked straight through it like a black hole. Adonia's Force Light proved that effectively. Also, as I touched it, a voice came screeching out of it like there was something, or someone, on the other side. However why it repelled me instead of flat out killing me I cannot say. All I know is this: This has something to do with a Dark Jedi whose spirit has lived on for thousands of years thirsting for, well, I wish I knew. Adonia hypothosizes that perhaps it was my ancestor of that era, also named Taoré Timarick, defeated her and is simply out for revenge. I wish it were that simple, but there are pieces that just don't fit into place." He explained, but he too felt as uncomfortable as he felt the Battlemaster's uncertainty.

"I've heard of such things, though only in rumors and folktales. For it to actually occur... It's odd. I admit, Taore, I'm no expert in these things. My place is on the battlefield, not in an archive or classroom. Still, I might be able to offer help. Seek out information on your ancestor in the archives, see if you can find any information on dark jedi he defeated, or others he may have put down during his lifetime."

The battlemaster placed his hands in his lap, drumming his fingers against his armor's thigh-plates for a moment. "Now, another question; what are these pieces you speak of? The ones that don't seem to fit. What are they? How many are there and how significant are they? Please, explain everything you can. No detail is too minor."

"It's funny you should ask: Not long after we experienced this encounter, we looked up all known records of both the Dark Jedi, said to have been called Saeja Kanno, and my own ancestor, but for some reason, his data file is corrupted. With all due respect, why would the holorecord of a famed Jedi Knight be as corrupted as one of a Dark Jedi? Sometimes one can argue time might play a factor, but I'm not convinced: Each record cuts off exactly as it starts to reveal anything that could potentially connect the dots. That being said, we did manage to pick up that Kanno's rumored burial ground is somewhere in the Corellian System. But considering I'm still technically a Padawan, I can't exactly go anywhere outside of Jedi Channels to investigate without running this before you and, well, your usual company." he said, noting around all the empty chairs.

Daisuke only pondered the padawan's words for a moment. He saw no harm in allowing the young man to investigate the matter - worst case scenario, the fellow would uncover a small but annoying spot of corruption that would need to be rooted out irregardless of who found it. Best case scenario, there was no such corruption and the padawan had been given a chance to gain valuable experience and to spend his time constructively, rather than sit about twiddling his thumbs for lack of anything better to do. It was a fairly straightforward choice in Dai's mind - cut the leash for a while and let Taore look into things.

"Then my consent is given, Padawan Timarick," the battlemaster stated. "Take a vessel to Corellia, find Kanno's tomb, and shine a light on this mystery. Take your friends with you - I've a feeling you'll need them."

Taoré nodded and arose.

"If it is anything, Master, I'm not one for formalities. If in future reference, would it be possible to call me Taoré. But I will be on my way."

He made a short bow, uncomfortable as it was for him, and left the area. As the turbolift doors open, Adonia and Matsu were both there to greet them.

"We're off to Corellia." was all he said and refastened back on his cloak. Just as he did he felt his stomach roar.
"... After we get something to eat. Rations in the X-Wing are starting to wear on me." he said.
