Lightsaber ceremonies seem more of a Jedi thing, I'm not sure if we would see lightsabers as sacred objects like they do. And if we do, then they're to be collected and kept out of the corrupted hands of extremist rather than centering some event around them.

Have your Temple, @Eagei , have your crystal cave, protect it with your life, I just don't see a lightsaber ceremony being something the Fulcrum really cares about, imo.

I don't think we'd view lightsabers as sacred. If anything I think we'd just maintain the use of lightsabers and view them as a weapon against those who have corrupt views of the Force.

Let's not speak for everyone. I would say that's more of a personal thing. The lightsaber is an important thing for my character at least, almost sacred but not quite. What Jax said holds true for me. In many cases it would be our means to stopping the corruption of the force, bringing balance and, in turn, the weapon is an important aspect of our identity.

I meant that it would not be sacred for the faction. I believe that many of the former Jedi would still view it as sacred.

Definitely personal, agreed. In my case it's literal: DNA Recognition Lockout on 2 of my 3 sabers :D

Jedi are not a race, but an order. Calling yourselves "Grey Jedi" would be a sacrament to regular Jedi, which doesn't make any sense. "Grey Force Users" would be more appropriate.

My character inherited his blades from his master, and so he holds his lightsabers very close to his heart. However, he could care less about anyone else's lightsaber. So, I think it should be a personal decision for each faction member.

While on the subject of lightsabers, does the Fulcrum have any plans on having their own lightsaber styles? Or shall we just stick with the basic 7 forms?
Also, I'm thinking of making Vosrik's lightsabers have saber-resistant material near the beam to avoid the unfortunate event of his opponent slicing the tip off. Is that an idea that would be alright with the new timeline?

@Vosrik Well, remember that we are quite a young order, so I would expect that over time we would develop our own forms and systems. It's definitely something that I'd like to do anyway.

I imagine it being something passive like Tai Chi, more used to center one's self than combat. I'd be willing to teach my own style to members but it's very pvp intensive and really doesn't go with Fulcrum philosophy at all. Maybe an all new Lightsaber Form is something we all can develop together through RP.

Vit'al agrees! We may agree to facilitate lightsabers for those who wish to focus on one, but I think we do not have a weapon preference other than the force.

Well I think my temple would be an awesome place for people to have un interrupted practice (and excessive force energies from the cave) for the members to practice forming a new save style. Especially since my character fight unorthodox and learns while watching others, he'd love to watch as people toy with form ideas.

Also, my temple wouldn't be something required for all members, instead it could be a sanctuary where members could craft their sabers (hopefully with a rich RP centered around a truly unique saber, if I get the go ahead i will start typing up the ceremonial questions that lead to a fun experience and character exploration so that you maybe learn more about your character and have a saber to match their awesome personality)

@Storm Crow Of course! The new timeline hasn't even started yet, once it does that's when official sign ups start.

@Eagei Oh my g...... That is an amazing idea. I've always thought that creating lightsabers should be something very personal and unique for each character, but haven't every had the chance to really rp that out with any of my past characters. If you had a whole system like that, that would be fantastic!

So uh, how will our faction fit into the NTL's rp? will the admins allow independent factions like ours or is it just the main factions?
