I'd like to play a former dark side character, who was turned to the light after the death of a close friend. Would this backstory be allowed for the faction?
I don't see why not. Your character has seen both extremes of the force making him a great candidate for our balanced faction.I'd like to play a former dark side character, who was turned to the light after the death of a close friend. Would this backstory be allowed for the faction?
Yes, they allow independent factions. In fact, there are often way more independent factions than primary ones.So uh, how will our faction fit into the NTL's rp? will the admins allow independent factions like ours or is it just the main factions?
Okay. Thanks for clearing that up for me.Yes, they allow independent factions. In fact, there are often way more independent factions than primary ones.
Thanks for the answer. I can see my self wanting to work closely with @AchillesHell on spy and espionage matters. A question to him though, I saw your interesting lightsaber style, and was wondering if it could be taught to me as well?@Vosrik and @Azenethi, I cant really answer your questions (as I am but a lowly grunt) but i think killing on the job would be acceptable as it is a necessary task in war and espionage alike. And as for battles, I believe we would stay as uninvolved as possible. After all, we are a small secretive faction.
Welcome @AzenethiI am extremely interested in joining Fulcrum. I do have a few questions though, Earlier in the thread it sounded like the Mystics were going to be an intelligence gathering group along with their other duties. Is this correct? If so would an intelligence group be interested in having access to someone who could spy for them? And my second question is what Fulcrum members ability to kill if need be on the job? But yeah, I would love to join up with you guys.
We would never get involved in a faction battle for a number of reasons, least of which is that the Fulcrum is a very secretive group that wants to stay hidden, especially from the Sith/SBZ.If giant faction battles break out, will the Fulcrum aid whichever side best supports their current plans, or will we just take a back seat and let them fight each other while we observe them? Trying to keep the balance might mean that we mobilize to try stopping either one side or another from gaining complete dominance.
Sounds good. Thanks for the info.!Welcome @Azenethi
I'm sure we could find use for a spy type.
As for killing, it boils down to personal judgement in matters of survival.

This kind of goes against our whole philosophy about keeping the balance between the two. It's not quite so much a problem for my character, Vosrik, but for other people who were planning on walking the line more so.Basically, you can't walk the line as if the line represents balance. That's not how the dark side works. The dark side is corruption. Anything you do that dabbles in the dark side is going to corrupt you to some extent. So if you're a Grey Jedi and your idea of Grey Jedi is being able to safely use the light and the dark, that won't work. Any time you use the dark side, it will start to corrupt you.
The best way to be Grey Jedi in this timeline is in the way Jolee Bindo or Qui-Gon Jinn were considered Grey Jedi. They were in the light, but they did not follow the path of the Jedi Council. Or in this case, the path of the Jedi Council or the Jedi Lord.
Shalken will probably be more interested in increasing those Sith vacancies than filling them :PDon't worry guys, there are spots for all of you in the Sith!
Welcome to the brotherhood!
It will take time to fully ensnare you, but every use of the dark side has consequences that will build up over time and can't just be balanced away by use of the light or anything.
That's not a restriction we've placed on the site - that's Star Wars canon. That's how the Force works
