Now that the ship wasn’t at risk of shattering, Caerllion could focus on the people around him. The combined efforts of the Force users had been enough to maintain the integrity of the bridge and avoid their deaths. The Annfyn was certain that it had been due to the Sith, because most of the Jedi present seemed to be too young even to be out of their diapers.

How they came here by themselves was a mystery.

Caerllion burst into laughter when he heard Kyssiara’s sarcastic comment to Trodai (@Akheron). “Oh, I’m going to like you.” he said to the Acolyte (@René). His ex-apprentice really needed to stop saying obvious things, although by this point the Annfyn was sure that the Pureblood did it on purpose.

Less fun was the fact they needed to travel to the station. Even if the Dark side presence that he had felt early didn’t come directly from it, the place still screamed death trap. At least they were offered environmental suits to deal with possible contamination. Thinking about possible virus and bacteria lurking in that decrepit place made Caerllion regret not having brought his bottle of hand sanitizer.

Already in his suit, Caerllion approached the Doctor when he was giving a weapon to a white-haired man (@Sreeya). Poor guy, he seemed to be so lost in this place, still trying to make sense of the event that brought them here. “First experience with the Force, right? With time you learn that rarely things make sense when dealing with it. Unless you apply metaphysics.” he said to the man. “You don’t even need to ask.” he told the doctor, not expecting that anything living in this station would be peaceful. With that in mind, the Annfyn walked toward the shuttle.

Seeing that they needed a pilot, Kaedan was going to volunteer. That's when he heard Kaala's decision to be the pilot. Since that was taken care of he could devote his energy to defending those on his team. He grabbed the protective vac-environmental suits and put it on. He sighed before taking his lightsaber out of his satchel. Guess it is best to be prepared for anything.

He turned to those that were on the team with him. "Alright, once we dock in the east hangar of the space station we should be prepared for anything. Safety is our best bet. We have many different skills we excel at and that is important. Some of us are warriors ready for combat, some of us are skilled with technology, some of us are great with science and discovery and some of us have mastery over the force. We have a collective skillset that will aide us out there. Let's go do this and may the force be with you."

Kaedan boarded the ship and released a heavy breath he didn't know he was holding. He came on this expedition to learn about the maw and the force. Now they were in a bind, their ship powerless and now something unfamiliar lied before them. They were about to go into the unknown. It was best that they were coordinated in some way and not all running amuck.

His mind wandered to the padawans and non-force sensitives there. He had faith in them. Padawans were trained and they needed to be able to go through their own path and trials. They were sometimes even more skilled than knights and occasionally masters. And the non-force sensitives... they more than likely had their own specific ways of dealing with threats, even force users. They were not to be underestimated. Even so, he wanted to make sure that they got home safe. Maybe that's why he suggested that the padawans and non-force sensitives stick close.

He looked over to Alhazred. He wondered if his fellow knight was afraid. The fact that the light was hard to find would have light siders spooked but just how afraid was his comrade. Would this be something that hindered him in the field? Well, Kaedan could only wait and see.

Next he looked at Linny. She was so excited to be here earlier. Now everything was going awry. He felt her fear before but now he wasn't sure if she was still as scared. If he was being honest, he'd feel a lot better if she had a lightsaber or some weapon to defend herself with. Even so, he knew just how strong she was in the force. Guess there wasn't much else he could do about that. It was just about time for them to fly out of the hangar and make their way to the east hangar of the ring.

Trodai overheard the comment by his apprentice, since he was standing right next to her, and so despite her efforts to try and conceal it, he heard every word. Beneath the surface was only Rage. He could appreciate sarcasm but at that particular moment he wasn't in the mood for it, not after what they and just been through and wouldn't stand for the apparent show of such disrespect. After all he was trying to be serious and she thought it the right moment to be sarcastic. It would not do, he would have to correct her behaviour.

Within moments she would feel the Force coil around her throat, as she was briefly choked at least while he turned and spoke to her.

"And unlucky for you, I am not deaf apprentice. Do you think this a time for such jokes? Sarcasm has its place, now is not the time and I am in no mood for it. Dare to disrespect me again like that Apprentice and you will wish you had died in the Maw. You forget I am your Master, and I will not suffer such disrespect from you. Now unless you have something more constructive to say remain quiet and remember your place."

He released her, allowing her to recover as he listened to the others. He didn't like it much but they were right, they had to work with the Jedi and whoever else was here to get out. The doctor was also correct in his assumption he imagined. Combat was probably inevitable at this point, with the station looking ominously before them and the feeling he felt.

"I agree, this is beyond anything I have ever encountered. Even the Dark Side of the Force feels very strong here and it looks like we have no choice but to go aboard that thing to investigate. Despite our many differences we will have to work together and make do. I agree with the doctor though that we kill anything that is inside that place that is not useful. Dispose of them and move on."

He looked to his apprentice, making sure she was listening. He didn't really care what they may have thought of his previous display. It was a lesson from Master to Apprentice nothing more and he and he had made his point to the one concerned. It was simply Sith politics.

It was then he noted the newcomer, a young Jedi by the feel of it, and simply shrugged as she took the pilot seat. Saved him having to do it. In the meantime he placed his swords down a moment, the blaster and lightsaber as he put on the environmental suit, having to find one that was particularly big to fit his large muscular frame and height. Then he placed the blaster to the back of the belt, the swords across the straps on his back and the lightsaber attached to the front. Adjusting the Sith Lanvarok on his left wrist over the suit, ensuring it was sealed. Placing the lightsaber where he could see it.

He listened as Caerllion attempted to reassure the white haired man. He decided to help in his own way.

"He is correct, the Force is difficult to explain to those not connected to it and things don't appear to make sense...yet everything does in some way. Suffice to say we feel things more strongly than you, the background energy of the universe. Best way to describe the Force and how it feels to have it would be a energy field of sorts connecting us to everything. You have it but not like us. Some feel it more closely. Negative or positive emotions are amplified and so is our connection to this energy field. There are places known to be especially strong in either the Light Side of Dark of Force. Positive and Negative. This location is such a place it seems."

He attempted to explain as the group made they're way inside the shuttle.

Alhazred's tentacles darkened again at the idea that the professor was going to steer. He thanked the voidif that would not be the case, but being the clumsiest kind of pilot out there, he had no say if anyone else could fly one of the ships.

The Little Tin Tin Dwarf had said something curious that Alhazred barely overheard. To himself, he replied: "My people and even the Ubese refuse to reveal their homeworlds to outsiders. Just because people can speak doesn't mean they want to talk to us. But I must agree with their thinking... this much darkside in one place is not healthy for long term species survival"

In the DX container on is back, his young made a series of rapid squirming. Alhazred felt the small thing's telepathy, trying to send him a picture of the black hole, and eyes peering out before a claw emerging. Alhazred shook.

"No, no, I don't believe this is the Ebon Star and its sole habitant..." Alhazred spoke outloud, seemingly to no one in paticular. "The Ebon star had two planets, not a ring world..."

Alhazred looked at the rest of the group. Some were getting the vac suits on. Alhazred followed, and once that was done, he double checked his own spawn was strapped onto himself just as tightly. There was no way in the Force or the Void he would allow his young out of his sight in this place. Besides, the ring world was possibly the most secure place they could get to. It had been here for thousands of years, had it not? Surely it would last longer with these individuals on it.

At least, thats what he mentally told himself to keep his nerves quiet.

"To all of you wishing a Jedi by your side..." Alhazred told the others. "Myself and Kaeden are knights of the order. The dark side of the force is strong here, and i recommend you stick close to us, for both of our protections. Who knows what we may face? I am no technological expert, so I will need your guidance as much as you will need mine.

___Four crossed her arms, her ears flagging and twitching as the droid relayed its information to the captain. Gazing at the construct looming outside the viewport, the Cipher listened closely to the instructions the professor relayed to their ragtag exploration team. She inhaled as she crossed her arms, emerald eyes absorbing what details she could from the holograms and other imagery showing through the feed.

___"I'm familiar with Lamba shuttles," Four stated, "but I believe it would be best for someone else to pilot. Besides, it seems we have enough volunteers already," she finished, excusing herself to don one of the suits the others were helping themselves to. She listened to Kaedan (@StephDLegend) and Alhazred (@Narzen) as they lavished the team with their respective monologues. The woman sighed through her nostrils and shook her head, her eyes subtly rolling as they preened their feathers and flaunted them for all to see.

___"A wise man's goal shouldn't be to say something profound," she said, "but to say something useful." As she finished speaking, she secured her weapons on her person: a Nightstinger and DLT-20A Longblaster. Once Four was armed, she boarded the shuttle, finding herself a seat to buckle in and wait for their inevitable departure.

True regret meant feeling sorry for your actions. Yet as the Force coiled around Kyssiara's throat and restricted her breathing, the only thing she regretted was allowing herself to get caught. She could sense the anger creeping out from underneath her master's typically nonchalant facade, and no doubt he would feel her own seething rage as she struggled for air. Truly luckily for the acolyte, the punishment for this particular ill-advised comment was short and only left her coughing as the intangible grip on her neck loosened and air rushed back into her lungs.

The paler of the two pointy-eared Sith's (@LouJoVi) laugh didn't go unnoticed either, which was at best giving Kyssiara mixed signals and at worst actively encouraging her defiance towards her master. Not that she needed the encouragement. The acolyte got plenty of satisfaction from trolling the larger Massassi on her own. A grin and a nod was all the Annfyn would get in response to his comment for the time being, especially given that the Pureblood's throat still ached, but she resolved to talk to him later.

Her idea to use the gathered Jedi as meat shields was sadly shot down by Iymril as they once again made a good point; the bizarre situation they'd all found themselves in was singularly unique. Any hope of escaping would have to mean everyone pulling their weight, even if the group on the other side of the room appeared to be much more disorganized than the Dark Siders gathered around Doctor Lile.

While her master recapped much of what the others had already said, Kyssiara stayed quiet and bit back another zinger of a comment; for as many laughs as it would probably generate, her throat was begging to avoid another trachea squeeze. The girl simply followed along for the time being, grabbing a suitably sized environmental suit and putting it on to ensure she wouldn't immediately get turned into a zombie like in those HoloNet films.

Surprisingly, one of the people from the other group (@GABA) came over to volunteer her services in flying the team's assigned shuttle. A wonderfully gorgeous someone with hair like the fire Kyssiara conjured so often. Was she like fire in more ways than one, as dangerous as she was beautiful?... wait, what was she thinking? The Pureblood almost pinched herself to snap back to reality as the boarded the shuttle, her eyes still lingering in the newcomer's direction. It's a good thing my skin's already red, she thought to herself. Otherwise, someone might've noticed her blushing.

Merian was by the consoles searching for survivors when she felt the commotion a second before she heard it. Impotent, performative rage. Her own stomach dropped as she tried to turn away, like she was the one being choked.

And then came the voice.

“Dare to disrespect me again like that Apprentice and you will wish you had died in the Maw. You forget I am your Master, and I will not suffer such disrespect from you. Now unless you have something more constructive to say remain quiet and remember your place.”

In a flash, Merian was no longer aboard the Wildcard but back at the academy. Years ago.

“Allow me to demonstrate... Merian, why don’t you step forward?”

“Still nothing, Merian? How disappointing.”

“Give me one reason your life is worth the effort, insect.”

“We have a word for squandered potential. Corpse.”

Before she knew it she was quaking.

Sith. All the same.

Merian lashed out. Her arm went out and the Force obeyed, and as Trodai focused on his apprentice he was himself yanked by the neck a few feet into the air.

“Let her go,” she ordered, holding him there. “If what she has to say vexes you so much, state the obvious less. I’ve known you an hour and twice already you made me wish we all died inside the Maw.”

Arm still outstretched with the petty tyrant in her distant grasp, Merian’s eyes went around the room, a message. Try as she might she couldn’t regret doing the reckless thing. Surrounded by Sith, but one already expressed sympathy for the acolyte, and Sith respected strength. Next she found the Doctor. She answered his question, in a way.

Restraint had its place. Here too.

It took the knight all she had, after another second, to toss the wretch aside and walk away to the vac suits and the shuttle.

Rowan stared wide eyed as the blaster was thrust into his hands. He had never fired one of these in his life. As the Doctor mentioned shooting to kill, Rowan turned pale. His job was to save people, not kill them. He regretted ever coming here and wondered if he was going to make it out alive. Rowan only half processed what the Force users said about the Light and Dark. He found it easy enough - Jedi were good guys, Sith were bad.

“I’m absolutely not in agreement, but it doesn't appear I have a choice,” He muttered under his breath to the doctor as he glanced down at the blaster as if it was a bomb. Rowan almost thought of handing it over to someone else, but he also didn’t want to die just stepping out into a shuttle. He slipped into an environmental suit as well.

He watched the strange display between the Force users. First it was the young red woman (@René ) making a snappy quip, then the older one (@Akheron )doing something - Rowan could guess it was choking her. And this was then followed by someone else (@Volene ) stepping in and suspending him into the air. Sith. All of them. It was all terrifying to witness.

Rowan glared at all three of them, “Can you Sith ever take a moment not to wave your Force dicks around? In case you haven’t noticed, we have a bigger crisis to worry about,” He blurted out before he could stop himself, glancing away from the anger management group. He immediately regretted his words, genuine fear coursing through him that was almost palpable. What if they attacked him just for his words? “Can someone show me how to use this? Where’s the safety?” Rowan asked as he made his way over to the transport shuttle with the would-be pilot (@GABA ).

“There’s definitely a memo I missed before coming here about Force users being mandatory…” He grumbled under his breath as they prepared to descend to the space station.

The affairs of a Master and an Apprentice were none of Iymril’s concern. Kyssiara had earned her punishment in their eyes. However, when Caer chuckled at the Acolyte’s open disrespect, Iymril shot them a withering glare. That idiot’s amusement reinforced a rebellious streak that needed to be beaten out of an Acolyte. It threatened the foundation of what their Order had been built upon, hierarchy.

But not more than what occurred next. An outsider involving herself in their affairs.

The human woman responded to earned discipline by assaulting the blabbermouth champion. While Iymril didn’t respect the man, they did respect their Order and the structures therein. They wouldn’t let this go unanswered.

The woman was so focused are harming Trodai. They were so intent on strangling him for upsetting her. She must have missed everyone leaving, she would certainly miss them turning as if to leave and stepping away. Iymril knew they likely wouldn’t see what was coming. A quick and subtle weave of a sign while she was making the Pureblood hover in air as she choked him.

With no witnesses other than Kyssiara, Trodai, Caer, and the offender herself, Iymril unleashed power. They spun on their heel to face her back and their hand snapped upwards, raw hate flowed through them and manifested in destructive prowess. Lightning leapt from their fingers and connected to Merian, her mind and attention was solely on Trodai and punishing him. Her ability to react would be severely hampered if she could at all.

The lightning would connect as a single harsh blast.

It would blow into her burning clothes and charring skin and send her sprawling into the bulkhead as Iymril tossed their hand to the side. If the lightning didn’t rob her consciousness, the impact with the wall should. She wouldn’t turn to leave, she’d be slumped on the floor as a smoking wreckage. Unfortunately for the Imperial Knight, she’d be left behind on the research ship, Wildcard.

This was the price of defying the Sith. This was the price of treachery.

After this, Iym would glare at Kyssiara. The disapproval of her actions reached their face in a scowl. It was the first time they’d likely seen any emotion on the Sephi’s face and it was of disgust.

Leave the human.” They stated simply. “She has earned her fate.

With that, Iymril would turn and leave to join the rest of the group that had followed the Professor onto a shuttle.

The trash would take itself out.

Before Caerllion could walk toward the shuttle, he saw Trodai using the Force to punish Kyssiara. A large smile appeared on his lips while the girl suffered for her comment. His ex-apprentice had learnt how to deal with apprentices. “An advice because you don’t seem dumb, sarcasm can be very nice. Only don’t direct it to your superiors.” the Annfyn said, while she was being shocked.

Good job.” he told to Trodai, before turning right on time to see Iymril staring at him. Caerllion stared back with an equal withering glare. He wasn’t going to back away because a Champion was staring at him with a judgemental face. Even less one that was a Sephi. Personally, he couldn’t hate the species, but as an Annfyn he naturally had the tendency to defy them. Usually he would control this urge, but this time he left it take hold.

Their staring match was disturbed by the interference of a human woman in Kyssiara’s punishment. She yanked Trodai's neck with the Force and made him float, obvious signs of being trained. However, a Sith would never intervene with a Master disciplining their apprentice. She also didn’t seem to be a Jedi, they would have babbled as much as the Pureblood before pushing them away with telekinesis. Her actions were too aggressive.

It didn't matter for now, because Caerllion got pissed with her audacity of interfering and humiliating his ex-apprentice gratuitously, when he was distracted doing his duty as a Sith. He could think that Trodai babbled too much, but the Pureblood had become a good and competent Champion. It wouldn't be an nobody that would humiliate him for simply doing what was right.

He was prepared to throw a blast of red energy at her, but Iymril was faster by sending a lightning at her. The woman went flying, hitting the wall. However, the Annfyn wasn’t satisfied. Wanting to give her pain due to the insolence , he would use his telepathy.

Since she was hit by force lightning and hit a solid wall, there was the possibility that her mental shields could have been weakened. Due to that, while he followed Iymril casually to the shuttle, Caerllion would use his telepathy in attempt to attack her mind and hopefully give her a bad headache.

Team Doctor Skirmish (Before last paragraph of previous post)
Kyssiara had just recovered from her coughing fit when she felt another surge in the Force of the same caliber, and she tensed in preparation for another round of asphyxiation. To her surprise, it never came. Instead, the Pureblood looked up to see some random human woman with her arm outstretched, commanding the Force to attack Trodai in the same manner that he'd just delivered to the acolyte.

Kyssiara's expression darkened, a fiery intensity burning behind her golden eyes. Who was this woman to fight her battles for her, to interfere in Sith business? The girl didn't want to be choked, but by all rules of the Sith her master had every right to do so. To assert his power, to assert his dominance. This woman's attack was an insult not just to the Sith Order's autonomy, but the older Pureblood's relationship with Kyssiara and the acolyte's own pride. She wouldn't stand for it.

The younger Pureblood instantly reacted, drawing upon the Dark Side to fuel her as she reached out through the Force and attempted to twist the human woman's wrist at an unnatural angle to break her concentration and free Trodai from her grip almost as soon as it began. A purple-blue flash in the corner of Kyssiara's line of sight indicated that Iymril had much the same idea. The girl watched his lightning crash into the woman's body, sending it flying into the wall as skin and clothing burnt under the heat; as satisfying an end to the quick altercation as any.

What wasn't satisfying was the Sephi champion's glare, causing Kyssiara to drop her eyes to the ground in embarrasment. Of all the champion's she'd met, their command of sorcery had garnered the Pureblood's respect and admiration; to see such disgust on Iymril's usually emotionless face left the girl feeling ashamed and angry at herself. They instructed the group to leave her, but Kyssiara had one last thing to deal with. She wasn't going to let herself be a complete disappointment, and there was an opportunity to be had.

Assuming she was unconscious, the acolyte would approach the woman's smoking body and remove both a small vial and surgical knife from her satchel. Sorcerers always had such unique uses for blood, didn't they? She hoped Iymril, or perhaps one of the other sorcerously-aligned Sith would be able to do something with this. Kyssiara would attempt to make a small incision in the woman's scorched arm, letting several drops of bright red blood fill up the vial about halfway before she pulled it away and put a stopper in it. She glared down at the woman for a moment, before turning to rejoin the group entering the shuttle.

(Last paragraph from previous post resumes here)

At first Trodai carried on with the punishment upon his wayward apprentice, teaching her the error of her ways according to the Sith. So when the powerful force-sensitive human took it upon herself to interfere and attempt to strangle him, he did not expect it. Grasping at his throat he rifled about until he found himself suddenly released and the human burning and toasted on the ground against the wall. Allowing himself a brief moment to recover, he looked directly at her with a fiery rage in his eyes.

Who was she? This human to interfere in Sith affairs. In his business of punishing his apprentice. His property. Did she even know the being she had assaulted? What he represented and the careless and precarious predicament she now had placed herself within. And considered the consequences of her actions. For he could not let such a transgression go unanswered, not when in public view of others like him. Other Sith who each now looked to see what he might do. Not if he considered himself a real Sith.

His pride and ego needed an answer too. His Rage and Wrath demanded it.

He would not show weakness or mercy. He would show her what her treachery, defiance and betrayal cost her. The price for interfering with the Sith. She would suffer and he would make her wish she was dead. As each Sith left their own mark upon the broken human, Trodai knelt beside her briefly.

She needed to hear this.

"A bold move human, but ultimately foolish. Who are you to interfere in my affairs? In Sith affairs? in matters that do not concern you. See now the price of your treachery and defiance of the Sith. Of thinking you could interfere."

He arose, stepping back before focusing with the Force. Drawing on his palpable Wrath and Rage, and what he felt all around. With the Dark Side he attempted to use Telekinesis, outstretching his arms towards the burnt and charred human. He used the Force to focus upon her arms and legs. Any bones he could see, as he attempted to break them at angles most unnatural.

He would leave her alive but very much broken. As he finished he entered the shuttle satisfied with his display.

1. Attempted Telekinesis to try and break most of her bones leaving her alive but broken.

It seemed their contemporaries didn’t immediately leave the woman who had dared meddle in their affairs alone. Each of them had their own unique punishment to dole out to her. Iymril didn’t bother to look back, they felt Caer and Trodai drawing upon the Dark Side. They wondered if it would be accompanied by the crunch of bone and squelch of parting flesh. Iymril wondered if in those moments of torture, the woman would abandon whatever training she had received and scream in agony? Perhaps she would resist to the best of her abilities. But maybe she would just give up and fall silently, having finally learned her place.

Beneath them.

The sensation of pain about to be inflicted on whoever she was brought pleasure to Iymril’s soul. They would focus on her suffering until it flickered out, snuffed out by death or unconsciousness. That thought almost caused the faintest of smirks to touch Iymril’s lips. But the emotion didn’t quite break the surface. Instead, their ruby eyes were stained yellow as they fed upon the heightened emotions.

Apologies for my tardiness.” They stated to all the beings within the shuttle. “There was a dispute that occurred. It has been deescalated and settled now.

That would be the only explanation Iymril would offer before taking their seat, crossing one leg over another, and inspecting their nail polish. They were disappointed to find their lightning had ruined the polish on one of their hands. Perhaps they should have punished that woman more for her insolence.

Rowan shuffled away from the action, but he could make out what was happening. Apparently it was a slaughter out there and he remained terrified in the shuttle. As the Sith piled in one by one, the Arkanian couldn’t help that horrible nagging feeling at the back of his mind. He looked down at the blaster. He was no soldier. He was no fighter. He was, however, on his way to becoming a doctor. He cast a sideways glance and could make out the outline of the woman from earlier on the floor.

He growled at his own annoying decision, but in the end he unclasped himself and walked right back into the ship that was dead in the water. He left the shuttle behind, walking back to tend to the only other figure still left behind on the ship. He couldn’t do much while there was fighting happening, but Sith or not, if there was medical attention needed, he would provide it.

As the shuttles began to move away, Rowan knelt next to the fallen Sith (@Volene ), placing his bag next to him to take out bacta and other equipment to patch her up however he could.

Linny found that she had very little to add. She recognised nothing on the datapad that the Professor showed, aside from the obvious presence of a few neon signs. Nobody really needed a teenage Annfyn to point out the cultural significance of signage, really, did they?

She listened to both Kaedan and Alhazred's speeches before nodding, moving towards the shuttle. She looked over at the buckled in Fiani before finding her own seat, making sure the belt was tight. Leaning back against the seat as she sighed and let her thoughts wander. What was in that station? Where were they? Are they getting out anytime soon, or was this going to be it?

Her eyes closed as she breathed softly, trying to focus herself and meditate. Just like a good padawan should.

Aza followed the others off to the shuttles, finding little point in pontificating the way the Jedi felt the need to. Long winded speeches about the powers of friendship and coming together did little to ease the worry in anyone who wasn’t a doughy-eyed child, and Aza certainly was not that.

Not that she was filled with any particular sense of worry, at least not yet. Sure, they may have been on the farside of fuckall-who-knows-where, and sure, the ship that had gotten them here might not necessarily have the ability to get them back, but all things considered it was still the first step on an unknown journey and she was content to take that journey one step at a time.

And if she had to take those steps with her feet digging into the backs of a bunch of dead Jedi for leverage then she would, but those thoughts were thoughts for later. For now, she simply looked for an open shuttle seat.

Settling in next to the weird looking.. Squirrel? person (@Remileah), Aza strapped herself in and kept a content, placid look on her face. She started humming a simple tune, Aza's mind drifting off somewhere else, thinking about the satisfaction she would have if she did end up chucking some of these Jedi into the dark heart of a dying star.

She hoped that the space suits that the Professor had mentioned earlier would accommodate her horns.

"Oh no... where is that Jedi going?" the Professor worried to himself before sighing, "If you Jedi are certain that she will be alright...?"

He wanted to get to the station - not only because he wanted to see what secrets it held but also because there was still a great sense of unease at being here, like this. Visiting places that were foreboding was fine, it was a part of history so he took comfort in it, but when that same place was functionally inescapable? It made his ears flap and twitch with his nervous attitude.

Ultimately, it was not up to the Professor to police the Jedi - history told him that the Jedi had made themselves ungovernable a long time ago, despite their claims to serve democratically elected governments in the past. When push came to shove, a Jedi was going to do whatever they felt the Force wanted them to do, laws and legalities be damned.

"What's that?" The Professor snapped out of his thoughts as he strapped himself into an environment suit while inside the shuttle, "Oh yes, I believe that it is correct - we do appear to have left our collective home. Truly, we are living through a monumental time."

They just needed to live through it too.

One of their number took up the responsibility of being the pilot - the young Togruta who pushed their way to the front of the shuttle and started the lift-off sequence while running scans. The scans, at the moment, were very rough as they were still in the hanger of The Wildcard - showing only that the destination hanger appeared to be air-tight, with active atmospheric shielding.

Thankfully, as they began to fly toward the hanger, one of the Jedi Knights tried to take charge, letting the Professor let out a small, relaxing, breath. Let someone else be in charge of getting everyone together before they ran into more trouble. The other Knight was talking about ebon stars which was not expected. The Professor made a note on his datapad as the shuttle shook in transit.

Honestly he was taking a lot of strength from their outward displays on confidence and even more from Four's sense of understated confidence mixed with sarcasm.

The shuttle passed out through the hanger bay doors of The Wildcard, progressing smoothly from artificial gravity to the void as they began their journey over to the hanger with its neon signage. Thankfully, the piloting was skilful enough that the turrets on some of the cargo pods didn't manage to track it at all, the barrels trailing after the shuttle, not managing to get a lock-on so not firing at all.

However, the pilot would immediately be able to tell by the sensors that some form of alarm had been tripped - the hanger ahead of them began to close, a series of metal shutters beginning to slam into place. Thankfully, they appeared to be set to fall in sequence, allowing the shuttle to squeeze in through the gap as it was beginning to close behind them, forcing a rough landing that, thankfully, didn't result in any actual damage to the shuttle.

Through the sensors, the team would be able to confirm a fully breathable atmosphere with very little deviation from the typical Galactic standard.

Unlike the hanger that they had left, however, the hanger they had landed in was clearly not in use as a hanger so much as a market. Brightly coloured banners and decorations ran between light-poles and market stalls laden with exotic-looking fruits and materials. Bolts of materials that did not match any known materials in the Galaxy over some of the stalls, with only the way it was wrapped and bound letting them know that it was material rather than something else.

Some of the stalls were, in fact, butchers stalls, specialising in selling the meat of creatures hung up on metal hooks - which looked to be about the size of a womp-rat but half scaled and half feathered.

Dozen upon dozens of the market stalls filled the majority of the hanger - but one thing that was immediately apparent was that it was recently emptied. Shopping bags and baskets lay on the ground, contents scattered but fresh, leading a trail of debris up to a securely locked door with a panel fully powered.

In the distance, a small sound carried through the hanger, the rustling of cloth and something that sounded like quiet sobbing.

"A-ah... remember where we parked?"

The Professor tried to smile but he wasn't sure if the joke would land.

The Doctor was beside himself.

This was EXACTLY why he wanted to take a step away from the damned Dark Side cult expeditions. He was supposed to be able to just relax and focus on physics, damn it, physics! Running a hand through his hair, he eyed the violence through red eyes, desensitized to it as he was. Turning to the Jedi who had joined their group, The Doctor placed a hand on the Jedi Padawan's shoulder as one of the Sith was literally bodily broken and sent packing off the ship.

"Please fly the ship safely... and I'm hoping you can bring some calm to this group."

Watching the medical student leaving, the Doctor had to resist the instinctive urge to step off the shuttle and stay with him. But, instead, he took a deep breath and addressed the elephant in the room, eyeing the Sith and the rest of his team for a moment. He needed to try and get them back on track, clapping his hands together.

"Well. I trust we got all of that out of our systems? Yes? Good."
he declared bluntly, "There might not be anything living there... but I don't think we're that lucky."

Unlike with the other team, the pilot for the Doctor's team didn't need to worry about sensor alarms or turrets on the way in - only needing to avoid some space debris that would have otherwise overwhelmed the deflector shields of the little shuttle. Instead of having neon lighting and signs, the hanger bay they were using was almost disused in comparison; it was half open, with some of the same shutters down but the majority of them stuck halfway down, allowing a permanent opening for the shuttle to land.

Continuing in their same theme, the hanger bay was coated in a thick layer of dust with out two things out of place; a blocky starship around the same size as the shuttle of unknown design and a series of bi-pedal footsteps leading from the blocky ship through the hanger to an open door in the far wall.

Through the doorway, a corridor extended deeper within the facility, barely illuminated shadows along the sides of the corridor revealed by dim emergency lighting to be metal statues of bi-pedal creatures with rounded heads of metal and stone. They stood as silent watchers over the secured door, a blinking light at an ancient controller illuminating a stark message painted onto the locked door.

On The Wildcard

In the quiet of the hanger bay of the Wildcard, Rowan tended to Merian. While the medical student was assisted by several medical droids from the onboard medical bay, ultimately they would work together to save the life of the Imperial and help her regain some functionality in the coming days and weeks.

They were not the First to encounter life in a new Galaxy, nor were they the first to encounter the lost station in all its glory. Together they had a First of their own - the first extra-galactic emergency surgery.

And maybe that was worth the trip all on its own?

Kaala huffed as she lowered the shuttle's ramp, ignoring the professor's crude attempt at humor. "We appear to have interrupted a shopping center," she observed. "All the same..." the Togruta hefted her helmet and slid it into her backpack, then swung the bag onto her shoulder and picked up her blaster carbine, checking that everything was in working order. She pointed to the door that had obviously been recently entered. "You, Jedi," she addressed the Nu'Vaal (@Narzen ), "Can you cover me? I'm going to check this out." Without waiting for an answer, she descended the ramp and approached the door, Vaze following closely behind. Wordlessly, she gestured to the side of the door, and the droid walked over to the side of the armored entryway, ready to stun anything hostile. Then, attaching the carbine to her bag, she pulled out her Glie-44 and knocked on the door.

Team Professor — These Jedi and their speeches are really annoying.

They flew away, and Nye would close his eyes, waiting in transit. There was some turbulence and there was a rough landing, but they managed. It was a risky thing to get on this shuttle, they could have died navigating through here, but Nye was unconcerned. Nonetheless they made landfall, even if it is rough.

Nye wasn't the one to waste time, he would get step off the shuttle at the first opportunity, and then examine this environment. He didn't care if he left the Jedi in the dust or not. Now with his two feet on here. In this area of the space station, this looks like it was a market. There's lights, and fruits and stuff. The materials seem strange. It reminds him of the ringworld Glavis. Nye would get out his smartphone and then start taking pictures of the environment around him. Father will want to see this.

Shopping bags, debris .etc on the ground. "Where did everyone go?" He asked aloud.

There was the locked door that Kaala was taking cover around. She called for a Jedi to cover over there to her.

While that was going on, he would walk into a different direction, deeper into the markets. He would keep on taking pictures with his smartphone, while keeping his other hand near his blaster pistol. Just in case.

He will get a closer look at the materials, the fruits as he surveys the area. And maybe he can find more valuable things as he goes into the market. Upon closer inspection of the materials, he hasn't seen those in the galaxy. Hmmm.

___Four remained silent during the shuttle's transit to the hangar, even during the scrappy emergency landing. As the craft stopped, the woman looked down at the datapad embedded into the underside of her suit's wrist.

___"The atmosphere is breathable," Four stated. "There are no toxic fumes or detectable, unidentified pathogens in the air. I don't see any lifeforms, either," the Cipher concluded her report. She removed her harness and stood up, proceeding to the ramp as it lowered to fall to one knee and level her blaster to point outwards. Four swept slowly from one side to the other, clearing their immediate surroundings as Kaala (@Interdictor) made demands and hastily departed. She chortled derisively through her nostrils.

___"You're going to get yourself or someone else killed like that," Four said as Kaala sauntered off. "Suit yourself, though. No skin off my nose," she murmured as she turned to the young man (@The Good Doctor), who was disembarking to begin taking photos. Four slowly rose to her feet and followed him, keeping her blaster up and ready. "I've got you covered," she informed him from behind, still methodically sweeping their surroundings as he took pictures and examined the materials on the stalls. There was no need to cover Kaala; if she wanted to bark orders at people and fail to follow through with clear communication and proper teamwork, she could at least be helpful by using herself to set off traps or be caught unawares in an ambush.

___"I'm wondering the same thing," Four murmured in response to Nye's question. "No bodies, blood, carbon scoring, or signs of a struggle. It's like everyone just disappeared." She stopped with him as he looked closer at the articles strewn about the stalls. "Find anything?"
