LEGALITY
As a BD-series unit, it is perfectly legal to buy and own by anyone and everyone. This particular version is one-of-a-kind with aftermarket modifications, and the only one is owned by Yoshiko Ryder.INTENT
I wanted a small, personal droid companion to function as an astromech for my starship engineer, Yoshiko. Unhappy with any presently-available astromech droids such as the R2 and BB-series, I decided to take a BD-series unit and apply some modifications to allow it to fulfil this role for her. He's also there to be cute and endearing.RESTRICTIONS
