COMPOSITION AND APPEARANCE:
Well, my name is Dingo McColonydrop and I'm a felacatian from Felacat, so that makes me a humanoid feline. I've got the whole cat nose, eyes, ears and tail thing going on. My eyes are a really bright green and my fur is a matted black and brown with pretty uneven coloring; it tends to blend in with my black hair. I'm not built all that tough, though, so don't worry about that. I think I was a runt growing up because I'm not big and bulky like most felacatians I've seen. I'm pretty thin and sleek.

As far as clothing goes, I try not to wear anything too fancy, because I'm a felacatian. That really does a number on your clothing, let me tell you. So I usually just go for a light shirt and some dark pants and a sandal or two. Maybe a green vest if I'm feeling like being dressed up. But that's the absolute most that I do. If I have to shift into my animal form or something, well... the clothes don't really change with me. That's why I try to keep a spare set with me at all times. You wouldn't believe how useful they come in.

PERSONALITY:
Well, I like to think of myself as a pretty upbeat person. When you've been through the sort of meat grinder I have, you learn to appreciate the little things in life really quick. I don't hold a lot of grudges, either, so I like to think that I'm pretty easy going. Why should I hold a grudge? Getting mad is just going to make it harder on myself... and I mean that pretty literally.

I'm also, well, really curious. Like really, really curious. Being shut in and locked up throughout my childhood kinda left me that way. I like to know what's going on and how things work. I like talking to other 'aliens' too. It's neat hearing about their homeworlds and what their species could do. I love that kinda stuff.

It's hard for me to turn people down, though. While I'm a bit harder on kids than I probably should, I don't like seeing people hurt or in misery. I've seen enough heartache to last me a lifetime. If I can help someone through that, then I will. Pretty easy though.

LIKES AND DISLIKES:
Well, let's see. I like to experience new things and meet new people. I like lots of open space, too. Crowded areas and tight quarters never really agree with me. That makes it kinda weird that I don't like forests or jungles too much. It's an odd mix, I know.

I really don't like bullies, or lawbreakers, though; I definitely can't stand slavers or those who own slaves. I'd gut either one if I can. Those guys really know how to punch my buttons. Ergh. I'd smack them all up one side and down the other if I could.

I do like machines and working with those, too. Starfighters are pretty nice and I love watching them move around in the sky or through space. I do not like flying them, though. That's a bit too claustrophobic for my tastes. Explosions are nice, too. I like explosions. Acrobatics as well. Especially acrobatics that end with explosions. Those I love.

What? You can totally backflip around throwing grenades everywhere. I've done it.

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
Okay, uh. I'm really good at moving around. Maybe it was my 'upbringing' or something but I'm not the beast that most felacatians are. Uh, I meant that I'm not as strength oriented, not, y'know. I grew up honing my speed and accuracy. So in battle I've gotta be faster than the other guy. Since I've got the claws and the speed, I don't rely on blasters too much; I probably couldn't even shoot one straight to save my life. S'far as I'm concerned, I've no real reason to ever use one. Same for all of those fancy swords people use.

Eh... but I try not to transform in the first place. It gets embarrassing when the fight is over and I've gotta revert back. I really wish someone could invent some clothes that would stretch and switch over my other form.

I'm really good at machines and computers, too. Which makes sense since I'm a mechanic. I can repair any machine or droid and all that good stuff. I can hack a computer, too. Uh, not that I've ever done that. Some times there's a rogue machine that I've got to take down and that calls for hacking skills. Droid lingo comes quick. Yah.

I don't really understand all the laws and stuff that people throw around or all the regulations that the big guys talk about. I try not to think about those things. Talk's pretty cheap. It's what you do that matters.

BIOGRAPHY:
I don't have a lot of backstory, really. None that I want to talk about, but I guess that I don't have a choice, huh? I don't remember much of where I was born; nor do I remember my family. I'm not sure if whoever fathered me considers me family or if I should consider him my relation. The earliest memories that I have is of getting a swift kick in the side and the sharp crack of a ringmaster's whip.

Let me tell you, there are those who romanticize slavery. There are those who think that it makes a nice bit of drama or that it really isn't that big a deal once you escape. Let me tell you, it is. When you're a slave, you pick up scars, physical and mental, that never fully go away. It's a horrible, wretched thing. That's where I nurtured my hatred of slavery: because I was a slave once.

My 'owner' was a harsh man named Ribon McColny. He was one half of the McColny * Druppe Circus. Doug Druppe was the other. Their operation was nowhere near above board as the vast majority of their entertainment were enslaved sentients... just talking about it makes my blood boil. I was one of their attractions. Since felacatians can transform into large animal forms, they had me jumping through rings of fire and wrestling with a 'Wild Animal Tamer' as soon as they could.

It was a nasty piece of work, for me and the others. Often I would be bullied into transforming and then shunted out on stage to perform. It's a wonder that I didn't go feral. We held onto each other, though. The other slaves and myself did our best to give each other hope and sanity.

In the end, though, McColny was providing the means to his own undoing. With each forced transformation and reversion, I learned a little bit more of myself. When we're young, felacatians transform whenever we're stressed out. But with experience and training, we can learn to manage our own transformations. That was what I learned to do with each performance. And then, when the time was right, I turned that knowledge against my 'owner'.

After a decade and a half of rotten memories, my twenty-year-old self decided that he'd had enough. When they trotted me out onstage to perform, I intentionally had an intentionally bad performance, conserving my energy and storing it for later. When McColny came by to berate me later, I put my mastery of my heritage to use, transformed, and left him all over the wall. No one else could stand up to me as I moved from owner to owner, cutting down those monsters and freeing my brethren.

We escaped that day, smuggled ourselves to Coruscant, and disappeared. When they processed us at Coruscant, I stole McColny and Druppe's names to create my own unique surname: McColonydrop. I liked it. It seemed like a fitting slap in the face to those who had once held me under their thumbs. Heh. I still chuckle thinking about it.

Coruscant was hard. Few of us had any real skills and trying to adapt to a life that was more than slavery was even more difficult. But we managed. With a lot of hard work and a little help from a rescue mission, I managed to save up and get into an engineer's school. There I studied how to make and repair machines, droids, starfighters, whatever there is, I can fix it.

But, eh... wanderlust took hold after I graduated. Coruscant just never really sat well with my. I always felt penned in and abused. So I took a job as repairmen for a shipping firm and, well, shipped out. I began making my way from one planet to another, hopping back and forth having adventures. The money that I make on these little jaunts goes back home to the folks at Coruscant. I make a bit more than the other former slaves do so I hope to help them out.

And... that's about it.
