For PCs for the military base, do we even have any Bogan non-Force using soldiers at all? Cause it's hard for there to be tons of Bogan non-Force using soldiers if there aren't any.

I asked PC Force users to be there and use NPC soldiers. There's no way there the Bogan wouldn't put Force users into a military base.

The big thing with ooc communication, more so when turning to a factionleader, regardless of the faction is this:

While a Faction leader DOES have some IC ties to said faction, and it's interests. They are also charged with the OOC interests of said faction members, as well as pushing the Story and RP itself.

IC/OOC knowledge has never been allowed to bleed over without plausibility, IE > you sent informants, or Intelligence officers to a said planet. What they see should be supplied by the faction leaders. Granted they don't have to tell every little detail, but when things like attacks are planned they will give what is necessary to know to cover the basics, and known/visible complications " such as getting there, or the facility types etc.

A Faction leader is more than an IC presence, they are " distantly" akin to staff in the sense that their first priority is to the rp itself, and if you say to one " hey, were planning a surprise attack at _________ " it's expected of the Faction leader to keep it as such. THey are in a place to be of great influence to how the story playes, how players act, and interact, and in that case should set an example.

If you have problems going to say...Bac wanting to do something against Bogan, Ask YOUR faction leader about it ( where applicable ) and THEY have no reason not to.

the bottom line is, the more we actually communicate as a whole, the more we can cut the bickering and confusion, communication does not have to cut into the story elements, nor the " power struggle" objectives

Back in the first timeline we had some epically massive fleet battles in the Great War, Heavy battles over very specific planets and what they controlled, massive fights over specific branches of trade lines, the BWWWAAAAAAA WWWAAANNTT EEEPIICCC FAMMEEE SMASH SMASH!!!!! warfare was not there, there was amazing communication on all sides, things were very detailed in their planning and execution and things that " tend to go ignored here at the moment" were factored in...

in the end, the ONLY battle that saw any real OOC problems was the Battle of Coruscant, and the main point of the arguments were more or less limited to a single situation. Nothing like the fights and OOC bickering, and finger pointing that we see for so much as a defunct asteroid sitting in interstellar space that has no value.

I only bring this up as a case point that there IS merit to all this, that there are ways to have open and semi- transparent IC/OOC communications open, before, during and after an event that still allows for the epic surprise, ripple effects what have you without the complications.

The problem was that the PC force users that were on ando prime all RPed in the base.

EDIT: And for clarification, was the military base also destroyed by the carpet bomb?

Yes I know, hence my point about how people didn't post where I asked them to.

I don't think so. Jade, so far as I know, targeted the temple and the surrounding area. I think Tarus established that the military base was pretty far away.

this is a tough call as there was never really any indication of distance... Granted " military" bases in the classic way would not be really normal for the Bogan in the situation they were in....a base on ando prime would have been ALOT like Echo base ....

now how badly it was effected depends how close it was to the temple... the closer the most likely the more open the more likely. distant and again like echo, not as likely to have much done if at all.

was it close enough to be effected by the EM detonations that were used all over? if it was within few km of the temple then most likely was targeted too basically if there were visible activity in the engagement areas, they were ideally to be hit. Leave nothing of value was the name of the game with that. so I would be happy to leave that open. on my end. ( this being said that I TRUST both sides on that aspect to think realistically and keep objectiveness minimal knowing more or less what the objective of bombers would be)

may want to ask Bogan and others a few things as I know around the temple and such all com systems were down for both sides because of EM bursts, ( several) and outside as well so that is something they should be better able to clarify.

Well, if the base was out of harm's way in regards to the carpet bomb, the Bogan writers angry that their PCs died in the temple should have listened to Brandon and RPed in the base, giving them at least a chance to live, lol (well, that being if the base was far enough away).

Few thing that HAS to be known OOC now for the Republic forces on the ground:

IC'ly even if they are not being bombed. The sounds of the temple, and distant bombing would most certainly be known by now.

The fact Boli blew it and the Jedi emergency evacuated with " what they could" would not.

Should the forces decide to bug out:

The Republic fleet pulled away from the planet quite a distance to engage the Hutt forces head on: This allowed both the JAde Armada, as well as the bogan fleets to take up positions BEHIND the republic in a triangle cage or " noose" that is getting tighter and tighter now.

Any craft hoping to return TO the Republic fleet would have to pass fairly open space that is at the rear of both fleets ( as they are pretty much past the planet as well now" and pass BETWEEN the Bogan and Jade Fleets for a time before approaching their fleet in the center of the Noose.

Trade lines leading in and out of Hutt space on any decent vector are now blockaded in a chain series, and the Republic also recently lost a big chunk of space too.

Escaping at this point mend " fighting through chains of blockades " or having to make micro jumps deeper into Hutt space to try to guess how to do so with minimal " face time" to re-calculate.

these are important to note, however unknown IC'ly unless in direct communication ( which is unclear considering the heavy EM use planet side) or ships enter orbit.

Ah, my bad. I meant Ramnous. Bummer for us. I think we're the only two Bogan PCs that survived (You hid in the mountains and I fled the system to contact the Hutts).

Yes...sucks.

Ramnous is completely out-of-his-mind bonkers, and doesn't quite care about anyone. Not sure if he really fits the definition of the 'new Bogan' but he does fit the original. We'll see if they die - I don't quite care either way.

Cheers! lol

Not to sound arrogant but I think Albedo has a better chance of being spared. Albedo fled the Ando system to notify the Hutts of Republic invaders, thus more in the lines of getting reinforcements than just fleeing out of cowardice.

Actually, in reality, Ramnous did not 'fail' anything, he 'won'. Because he did not fight a loosing battle, preserving himself in order to further serve the Bogan. The true failures are the dead ones.

One does not have to always fight battle themselves too prove worthiness. Ramnous is a teacher - he trains and manipulates others too do the dangerous work for him. However, as I've said, I'm not sure if his style suits the 'new bogan'.

Yeah, the base was a few hundred klicks away. We wouldn't really notice anything up 'til the bombardment.

So the imaginary base you made up is far away from the temple. Well glad that's clear. Is there going to be any special imaginary information taken from the imaginary base? That'll need to be approved through Bac, if that's the case.

Cut it out. The distance was established before the thread even got underway, in his first post. That's why there was the need for two different threads, because we landed far away.

I wasn't asking about the distance dear.
