On the forest world of Corvus and more specifically inside it's walled city of Calodan, Vena had been searching for a presence from the remnants of the Sith Order. She had followed rumors to this planet and because it was far from Imperial space had chosen to forego the armor in favor of clothing more approprate to the wet almost swamp-like climate. The lightsaber that she hid underneath her leather jacket was her only weapon. A risky move, perhaps, but she was confident she would be able to manage just fine with the Force alone.
She had promised to keep in active communications with the other Imperial Knight currently in Caloban, but it wasn't in her nature to team up and so she prowled the night streets alone. The bleeping red dot on her personav was the only light that illuminated her face somewhat as she reached her intended destination. A house, upper class according to the standards of this impoverished Outer Rim planet, seemed to have the item inside that she was tracking. This must be the home of the Sith Champion, Anders Drast. Vena looked up and down the deserted narrow street and saw no one walking about or observing her. Perfect. Force use would betray her to the champion if they were home, so she took the hit of her lightsaber and placed one side to the lock. One, Two, Three, she ignited it and the pure white blade made its way through the door almost instantly, melting the lock and rendering it useless. On the fifth count she disabled her lightsaber again and put it out of sight in her jacket again.
Slowly she pushed the door open to reveal the dark spartan interior of a home not made for comforts. Runes were scribbled on old leather-bound tomes and equipment more befitting long-range communications or tracking, anything that could host a monitoring dataplague, was disabled, unplugged or outright smashed to bits. "Kalique," Vena finally opened up the commline with her fellow Imperial Knight, "sending you coordinates. I think I found something."
Anders Drast seemed to have become a paranoid madman just like most of the Sith Order she had encountered, but she couldn't resist to pick up one of the runed tomes and open it. She recognized the words. It was written in the Sith Language of Old, the one they only taught at the Korriban Temple. It was basic knowledge on how the Force worked, with every aspect brought back to have some relevance of meaning to the Tenets of the Sith. Apparently Anders was highly focused and obsessed with his own last name -Drast- and kept referring to an ancient Sith Empress with the same name; Andraste.
Choosing to disregard it for now, Vena tossed the book back on the table and walked over to the corner near the stairs where she picked up what looked very much like a Holocron. It was dented and scratched as if Anders had tried to opened it by tossing it around the room, yet still not applied so much Force in fear of breaking what he must've thought contained priceless historical knowledge of the Dark Side of the Force. "Tried to open it, did you?" Vena chuckled. She knew what it was. It was a device designed by the Imperial Security Bureau and along with others of its kind it had been spread out across the galaxy as bait. This was the very item that her personav had been tracking.
