during the Force Eternal Timeline
Essential information
Edward Haren, nicknamed Eddie, is a 41 years old human, a lieutenant of the Empire belonging to the Imperial Peacekeeper divison. He is 6 feet tall and weighs around 190 lbs
Biography
"Why is it that I can only see happiness when my vision is blurry?"
Born on Taris, Edward's life could best be described as a rollercoaster currently going down: He had a good childhood, he met the woman of his dreams and married, moving to Coruscant and deciding to become a ranger there in order to do some good for the galaxy: He had a child, a son who he loved very much...But as the galaxy suffered around him, so did he. Edward started to obsess over his job as he got thrown into bigger and bigger conflicts of the galaxy. Eventually, his job pushed him to smoke and drink, and his relationship with his family began to become more and more strained as a result. Nowadays, he's a divorced man whose only child barely talks to, their last discussion turning into a shouting match after his kid realized he was force sensitive and decided to join the jedi.
Not even his job would be left for him, the disbanding of the Republic meaning the disbanding of the rangers as he knew them. He could've stayed in Coruscant, transition into becoming a member of law enfoncerment there, but it just didn't feel the same. So eventually he decided to come back to Taris, back home, hoping the familiarity would help him get through life.
Of course, that meant joining the Empire. They didn't exactly have rangers in there, but joining the Imperial Peacekeepers was as close as it got. With his experience and skills, it didn't take long for him to rise to the rank of lieutenant. Something he would need to take advantage seeing how his home was far shadier and corrupt than he remembered.
Personality
A sad, cynical old man that is alone in the galaxy. Eddie is a person that has given up on himself, if he is not drinking, which is usually only when he is not on the job, he is certainly smoking. He doesn't really care about his wellbeing, being very sure he had already fucked his whole life, his wife and son were driven away by his actions and his inability to change, so why should he change now?
However, even though he is a fuck up in many ways, he's a competent person on the job, focused, inquisitive, perceptive and, most importantly, incorruptible...Not because of the goodness of his heart, mind you, even if that was once the case, the idealistic part of him was quite dead now, it's just his inability to change, his stubborness affecting him in a good way for once and, most importantly of all...Because he wanted to be able to take the moral high ground over at least SOMETHING in his life.
Skills
As a man with years of experience as a ranger and a few as a member of the Imperial peacekeepers, Edward is quite good at his job. A good investigator, capable of reading what people are thinking easier than most, a decent talker despite his rudeness and cynical attitude, an outside-the box thinker, a good shot and a person with a mean right hook.
Other than that, he is decent at most skills needed to go through life...Also great at destroying his lungs and liver with foreign substances.
