The theme for this diverse RP is gonna be mythical characters that have been set to fit the modern era. The time is 2008, and we're on Earth. We work for the Federal Bureau of Supernatural Affairs, a top secret department of the CIA.

Characters should be real myths (oxymoronic, I know), and not of your own creation, but they should be updated for modern times. Magic is accepted. Powerful characters are of course accepted and encouraged, but there is an upper limit to power(i.e. I AM THOR I CANT BE KILLED IM A GOD, etc.) Hoorex and I will be running it in addition to RPing. Just post here with your character and a short little thing about them if you want to join. You can join in at any time, no matter how far we are in the thread.

And for my character, here's a little run down of Achilles

Achilles: The Greek hero's skill set might be limited, but he is nonetheless a highly effective weapon. One of the greatest warriors of all time, this hero of the Trojan War is as comfortable with a rifle in his hands as he was with a sword. His tall stature and great physique are as intimidating as his foolhardy charges into battle; bullets bounce off him and seemingly nothing can take down this inconquerable legend.

Aladdin: Though he might not look the part, Aladdin is still the same street-rat with a heart of gold that he was in the Disney movie. Well, not exactly. Though he enjoys every bit of his "hard-earned" thievery, he still works for the good guys. So it's a start, at least. Beyond his suave way with words, and gorgeous looks, Aladdin is the definition of spy. Armed with Project: Genie, a highly intelligent A.I. system that allows global internet access, communication, and his own massive array of acrobatic maneuvers, Aladdin is a great addition to any covert mission.

Interesting. Anyways,

Odysseus: This hero of old is depicted in the epics the Iliad and the Odyssey. Known as Odysseus the Cunning, this hero is renowned for his sly and resourcefulness. Brave and strong, he is the organizer, the planner. He is most comfortable with a pistol and his fists. He is the one who wins his battles through subtlety, never entering the figurative battle without a number of plans.

 

[Niner]

Hercules: Superhumanly strong, Hercules likes to wear heavy armor and carry the largest machine gun he can find. His most devastating weapon however, is the magical lightning bolts his father, Zeus, gave to him. He can conjure them into his hand and throw them with unnerving accuracy. Not much for planning, he'll listen to what is said to him and then carry it out, with unnerving skill. He is a master of unarmed combat, taking advantage of his size and strength, and is a heacy gunner and demolitions man.

Btw just an idea if anyone is interested but doesn't know what character to be... thought it'd be cool to be someone from King Arthur (Merlin or Lancelot, perhaps?) or from a fairy tale (the big bad wolf would be sick...)... or more modern American heroes like Paul Bunyan or John Henry. Anyway, just throwing that out there.

[The Balance]

Boogeyman: Not incredible smart, but just very persistent. Normally seen wearing his black sweatshirt with the hoodie up and a pair of jeans, he is very capable of bringing a person's worst fears to life. An accomplished hacker, his specialty is being able to accesses data long thought buried, and make it find the "right hands". But of course this all depends if you have been good or not.

Obviously, I'm Merlin, but with a twist. You may all be in prime condition, but I think the wizard's mind has been a little addled over the centuries.

Ill be king arthur,

Arthur Pendragon:
Still has a sense of nobility, but treats everyone as equal and doesnt start fights with allies. He is a excellent strategist and can bring spirits up in any situation. He has gotten Exalibur back but doesnt wield it as a primary weapon prefering to use a Sa80 assault rifle for ranged combat. Traveling all over the world for such a long time has weakened his British accent a little, but it still comes up every once in a while at random times. In battle he wears his old armor from his days as king. Outside of battle he usually wears a business suit.

Horribly confused angel is a supernatural being found in many religions. In Christianity, Islam, Judaism, and Zoroastrianism, angels, as attendants or guardians to man, typically act as messengers from God. This one in particular was created to walk amongst humans knowlagable of his status but not of his purpose.
