The wreckage was still smolder as he opened his eyes. His vision extremely blurred all he could make out were shapes at this moment. He felt around for a seatbelt and unhooked himself from his chair, what happened next was a complete surprise to him. As the last buckle became unfastened the young man plummeted about 6 feet before slamming into the ground. After regaining his breath he attempted to stand, but to no avail. As his vision became more clear he looked around and noticed he was in a wreckage of sorts and looked around to see if anyone was around. After a few moments he tried to yell but was unable to. From what he could feel both his legs and his left arm were broken, The clothes which he wore were severely tattered, but strangely the thing he had connected to his waist band was in perfect condition. He glanced up from where he had fell from and noticed an older male strapped into a chair as well but this man was not breathing...somehow he knew this man was dead. For a moment he laid there with tears in his eyes, but could not understand why.
After several minuets the young man began to attempt to exit the ship by dragging himself out by just his right arm the process would take hours but he figured it was the only real shot he had of surviving. After three hours the young man managed to pull himself to a door that was partially cracked open and peeked outside. Out of the crack he saw a sprawling metropolis outside and several emergency vehicles surronding the perimeter of the ship. The young man was severly fatigued and knew he had no ability to pry those doors open. Rolling onto his back his right hand instinctivly landed on the thing connected to his belt. Opening his eyes he unclipped the item from belt and inspected it for a few minuets. upon completion of his inspection the young man noticed a button on the item, and curiosity getting the best of him, he pushed the button. With the press of the button a silver beam flew from the item and passed the young mans face startling him. The beam was extremely hot, and though it had almost singed the eyebrows from his face. inspecting the beam the young man noticed that the beam was silver.
For a few moments the young man had no idea what to do, but like a thunder bolt an idea hit him. Rolling over onto his stomach the young man was now looking at the cracked door again. Gripping the item in his right hand tightly the young man jammed the beam threw the door. To the young mans surprise the beam cut threw the metal like butter, and in a matter of seconds a circle sized hole was cut through the metal. Hitting the button on the item the beam disappeared and quickly the young man clipped the item to his belt and pulled himself to the hole in an attempt to look out to see what was out there more better.
He was only able to get a glimpse out the whole before a giant jolt hit the ship and caused the young man to slide back in the ship. He clung to the edge of the hole tightly as the noise of some fallen ceiling beams sliding backwards could be heard. The young man gritted his teeth as his fingers began to bleed from the ridges of the hole. All the young man could do now was hold on as long as he could and hope someone would help him.
