She looked utterly distressed for a moment, putting her head down on her knees to try and clear her thoughts. She liked using the Force better than the lightsaber...but she really needed help with lightsaber use so she should take up that offer.

She looked back up at Dyson, "Would you help me with my lightsaber?"

She smiled awkwardly. She wasn't a big fan of asking for help, but she really needed it. Maybe that was her problem.

Dyson scratched his head at her decision, a bit disappointed that she opted out on the force lesson, maybe she had more trouble with it than he himself had expected. With only slight hesitation, the teenage Zeltron sprung from his sitting position to stand in front of the Corellian girl. "Would you want us to go get training sabers?" Asked the boy, slowly removing his lightsaber from his waist. "Because, er... mine really isn't the type for sparring." He stated, taking a step back and activating it, dual blades of green energy sprouting from either end of the elongated handle. The Zeltron handled it casually to his side, he wanted to show it off, but he didn't really want to move it around that much, instead, he stood there and waited for a response, the green lights of his blade playing off of his skin and causing the dull purple freckles on his face to light up only slightly.

Her eyebrows shot up her forehead as the two blades simultaneously extended. "Woah" she mouthed silently. She had never seen anything like that. Not many padawans had them she guessed. If she had trouble with one blade then two had to be really tough. "That probably would be best. I don't use mine so often, so I'd bet if I tried learning with it I'd cut my hand off or something. Training sabers are much safer."

She had to laugh at herself as she got down and turned back down towards the exit. "I can go get them. It won't take long and this room looks big enough to spar in."

She looked back at Dyson for an answer.

((It just hit me I got myself into some PVP. *facepalm* Well at least her horrible-ness at sparring will be VERY realistic. :p))

Dyson's mood brightened at the reaction of the girl in front of him, and he agreed with a slight nod that it would be better to train with practice sabers. Not only was sparring with real lightsabers very dangerous, sparring with one such as his was almost suicide, you did not fight with an actual dual blade toward to spar, you usually fought with it to win, as the best way to use it was with heavily aggressive tactics. As she moved away from the balcony railing, offering to get them, Dyson quickly extinguished his dual saber and clipped the elongated hilt back to his belt. "That sounds great actually. If you wouldn't mind, I'd appreciate you finding something like what I have in there, they should have one."

She nodded, "Okay,sure."

She walked out then and headed for the training rooms where the sabers were usually kept. Finding a training saber much like her own in size and design, and one like Dyson's she trekked back to the large room where she had left him. She was nervous in an anticipating kind of way. She didn't like embarrasing herself even in the name of learning something new. But she had already agreed to go through with it. Enering the room andreturnig to the balcony she handed Dyson his training saber and tossed hers up and down to get a feel for it...and to relieve some of the antsy nervous energy she had.

Dyson waited for only a few short moments, clapping his hands together and doing the odd cartwheel or two as he waited. it had been a while since he had spared, and it would be good practice. The sun lowered itself in the sky, casting slightly longer shadows along the balcony. The female Padawan known as Mickey returned in short time, but to Dyson it felt like an eternity, she held out what would be his training saber to him and the boy took a hold of it immediately. It was around the same weight as his own, and after twirling the handle around in his hands and tossing it up into the air a few times, he decided that he was satisfied with the training saber. Holding the training saber handle in his right hand, the boy activated his blade the tip of the top blade pointing toward Mickey, with the bottom tip of the blade hovering only slightly above the tile of the balcony. "Ok, tell me when you are ready." He stated, taking a few steps back. "While your blade is an extension of your arm, my blade is an extension of my body. My master told me that." He offered, smiling as the orange light of his blades played off of his skin.

"Uh," she held out her now ignited blade by her side, its blue light flickering against the tiles. She had never left comfortable with a lightsaber, and she now struggled to understand Dyson's words. Even in the required Form I classes, she had never "learned" the form. She just kind of went off instinct to try to block the blows in sparring, which meant she was forever on defense and she also got many light burns. She gave the saber a few experimental spins then nodded, still not sure of herself, "Ready?"
She didn't know whether she was stating it to Dyson, or asking herself, but either way she held up her saber in defensive position and prepared herself to utterly lose.

Dyson frowned mentally after he tried to give Mickey a small lesson, she must just not be the sword kind of person. Dyson made a mental note to try and take it easier, as Ataru was a very aggressive form filled with savage strikes and acrobatics. As soon as she asked if he was ready, the young padawan nodded and got into a ready stance and charged. There wasn't much space to cover, and as soon as Dyson neared her, he spun left, bringing up the bottom blade of his saber staff in an attempt to catch the lightsaber in her right hand. If it succeeded, he would continue his spin and use the top blade ing down into her shoulder blade.

Her eyes flickered about as she watched his every move. Her terror lurking in the back of her mind still she moved her saber up as he brought his down. Never having to have had to watch two blades at once, she felt the panic of the double threat, despite her knowing they would only singe her. Narrowly missing the strike by the bottom blade she sidestepped out of reach and swung her blade out to either graze his stomach or hit his blade.

The large sidestep made on the part of Mickey to the right set Dyson calculating his next move. The wide swing coming in toward his left side from Mickey's right hand forced him to abandon his left momentum and roll forward, managing to stop her swing from hitting his back with the top blade of his saber staff that she had managed to sidestep. With his roll completed and her swing rolling wide, the young padawan sprung sprung to his feet and spun left once again, hoping the top blade of his saber staff would hit her in the back of the calves.

His quick movements left her scrambling. But once he stood and swung she determined what he was doing. She really wanted to smirk as she jumped up as his blade came close to burning her legs. When her feet met the ground again she switched hands, putting her saber in her left, so she could try a different angle. Bending towards her right she pushed her saber upwards towards his neck. If he ducked she would roll forwards and swing towards the back of his knees.

Dyson gave a small grunt as she easily avoided his swipe. For someone who seemed like she didn't practice, she was doing better than he thought she would. When she turned for a stab, Dyson cursed under his breath, the famous enemy of the dual bladed lightsaber was a stabbing motion, as it was the hardest to defend against. The boy quickly deactivated his lightsaber and flung himself back onto his back, her lightsaber strike hovering over his mid region. Mickey, probably expecting something more intricate rolled past him as soon as she missed turning for another swing on him. The Zeltron rolled to the right to avoid her lightsaber and quickly sent himself up and back to his feet, reactivating his lightsaber, now holding it out in front of him horizontally.

Mikey, still on her knees, cursed mentally. While she might have done decently using common sense and what little training she had, now she had no clue what to do. This is why she preferred defense. She acted off of cues and what was expected of her. She wasn't used to making the first move. After a few critical moments of thinking she moved to a crouch, with her saber still in her left hand (>.>) and swiped at his feet. Taking the distraction, for she didn't mean for it to make contact, she jumped up to her feet and swung at his left shoulder. (they're acing each other, her more to the right, so it would be on her right but his left correct?) When, if, he swung at her she would duck, crouching down.

(I had to make her use her left hand DX It's easier for me to visualize because I fight Southpaw. :p )

Dyson, now in a defensive stance was completely ready for both of the swipes, even if one other them had been a trick. As the first swipe came toward his feet Dyson simply took a jump backwards, watching the false strike pass easily out of his range. Though quickly, the strike itself was followed by at a swipe toward his left shoulder. As the Saber carried toward him, Dyson stepped to his right and pivoted, making sure his right side faced her diagonally. The leftmost blade of his saberstaff easily caught the strike, locking blades. With one swift movement, the young Jedi brought the rightmost blade of his saberstaff toward the padawan's exposed neck.

She had planned to duck, but when she saw the angle he was coming from, she pivoted to face his blade, bringing her own up to meet it, while also moving her feet to better put force behind the block.

(I feel like I'm making her too good...she'll start messing up after this. I'm just so protective and don't want her to get hurt. :p D: )

(I'm assuming by facing the blade you are now facing him as well, as he is still holding the saber staff horizontally out in front of him.)

He was almost positive he had her now, moving fluidly from defense to attack, he had Mickey on the run these first few swings. The jab to her neck was meant to end the battle, but almost foolishly the young padawan unlocked her blade with his left to lock his right blade that had been coming for her. Taking this as a chance to finally finish this, the young teen brought his left blade in toward the females exposed left side, hopping the closure of movement and roll of his right blade along hers would keep her from escaping this strike. ( This is what I mean by rolling. Keep in mind the straight line is Mickey's lightsaber sticking straight up, and the diagonal is Dyson's right blade, which is laying horizontal. His left blade coming in towards her left. |/

Mikey set her mouth in a straight line as she admitted defeat. As the blade met her side with a sizzle she extinguished her saber. She had done better than expected, guessing at what she should do. She had been in over her head trying to fight a saber staff. Or to fight anything at all.If this had been a real fight she would be dead. There were moments where, if she had made one wrong step, she would have ended it much sooner.

((Thank you for the very helpful illustration XD The End (of ze fight. They might be able to fit in the Force lesson too no?) ))

Dyson extinguished his blade as soon as it made contact, placing it gently onto the floor of the balcony. "Not good with a lightsaber? Ha, you must have been hustling me! Sure, I'm a beginner too, but you had me running for my money at some points." Stated Dyson with a friendly grin, moving over toward the railing at the edge of the balcony, leaning back against it. "So, is that it for you tonight then? I could show you a thing or two with the force if you'd like." He offered, reaching out toward her emotions, tasting the small wisps of finality coming off of her.

"I'd call it beginner's luck. But I'm just glad they were training sabers. If they were real...at one point I think I almost got beheaded." She laughed as she tossed her saber beside his.

She considered his offer a moment before speaking, "What kind of things exactly?"

Her interest was peaked. She enjoyed the Force far better than lightsaber usage.

As soon as she asked him what exactly did he mean by teaching her a thing or two, Dyson grinned. "Well, it's a trick that not many, if at all, know in the order. My Jedi Master Miral Albion taught it to me my first day of training, and I have been honing it ever since, along with my Ataru skills. She called it Force Bellow, also known as Force Scream. I can barely remember how she explained it to me the first time I had seen it. It is an excellent trick to know, you see, as it can only be withstood by those trained to do so, dodging and blocking is pretty much out the window." Dyson stopped his explanation for a moment, letting his words sink in before he began some sort of demonstration. As he left Mickey to think on what he said, he moved across the balcony and grabbed a small chair, hoisting it up and carrying it back over to the girl.

"The trick is that you take in a breath of air, let the flow of the force you naturally feel through your body infuse and mix with the air you brought into your lungs, and let out a shout. The force catches in your vocal cords and lets out a shockwave, mild to devastating depending on the power you want to put behind it." Dyson continued, turning from Mickey to face the edge of the balcony, looking out to the cool evening air as the sun continued its descent into the horizon. The boy took in a quick breath and paused, focusing on infusing force energies into his lungs. After a moment or two, the Padawan threw the chair up into the air in front of him and let out a small controlled shout, sending the chair flying out over the balcony and into the empty training field in front of the temple. His trick completed, the boy took in a few quick breaths to level his head. He was still new to this power and because of that became light headed after every demonstration.
