[FLASHBACK] Tricks of the Trade

If she had to guess, Mikey supposed her eyes were bugging out of her head. Slowly she blinked trying to understand what she had seen. The way he explained it seemed simple enough, but yet, seemed very difficult also. 'so you just inhale, focus the force, and yell? Focus the Force....what?

Her face scrunched up in confusion. She really wanted to try, but she knew if she messed up she would just humiliate herself.

Dyson smiled toward Mickey after his trick, still struggling to catch his breath. "Don't worry, you don't have to try it now in front of me if you don't want to! Just remember, direct the flow of force in your body to your lungs, infuse it with the air of your lungs, and shout!" Instructed Dyson, moving back to the railing to lean against it. "Now, if that card trick was really just that, a trick of the force, you should show me." He stated, smiling.

 

[YOLT]

Mikey smiled widely, "Ah, yes, so you did catch on. I've just always been able to do things like that. I suppose it probably has a name somewhere. But I don't know it.
She shrugged before continuing, "The way I've always done it is to simply focus on what you wanted to create, for instance, a ball. Form a picture of it in your mind. Focus on the way it feels, the weight and texture of it. Once you've got a good picture and focus on it, you and others should be able to see and feel it, like so."
As she talked she focused on creating this small toy ball. By the time she finished she held it in her hand, tossing the small blue foam object up and down. "Once you have the trick down pat the possibilities are endless. You are only limited by your imagination. But it can be dangerous too. If you created, say, a knife, and you were a master of this ability, you could stab someone with this non-existant knife. But I've never done anything that well. I'll stick to card tricks, thank you."
She chuckled as she made the ball disappear.

Dyson smiled as she admitted to her card trick being that of the force. He had seen card tricks done easily enough, he knew most of the ones on Zeltros, but using the force to perform such tricks opened up an infinite amount of possibilities. The young Zeltron turned out toward the balcony as the golden sun of Tython finally slipped beneath the horizon, casting the balcony and the temple as a whole in the grey twilight of evening. He smiled before turning to Mickey. "Well, I hate to cut things off, but I have a day off tomorrow, and I should rest up for it." Said Dyson, stretching and yawning slightly from his light saber dual and the use of his force powers. "I'll catch you some other time?" He asked, watching her closely for a response.

 

[YOLT]

She smiled, though with a tinge of sadness. She had made a decision before even coming here, and of course she had met someone who could almost change her mind. But only almost. "Yeah. Maybe some other time."

She picked up the training sabers to return them, "It was nice meeting you, Dyson. Good night."

And with that she turned on her heel and walked away.
