Alex waited silently in main hall of the Ossus Temple. The same steps she had proclaimed victory for Ossus waited for her outside. The same building scrum of galactic media...her first public statement since the disaster of the Senate. Well. Nowhere to go but up. She looked at her datapad and flicked the message. A short, direct, communication to the Jedi Master responsible for freeing Denon. The offer still stands. (@Sevrin Valtiere @Sreeya). Sevrin was not the public face of the liberation. He was the mysterious long haired Jedi who liberated worlds and then disappeared. Frankly, that was an extremely useful growing legend. One she could use. Alex had already taken the time to individually thank each Jedi who fought to release Denon from the grip of the Sith. Their sacrifice would be remembered. She would not take credit for others pain. Sevrin had lead the mission, Jedi had bled to free that world, and she knew that suffering. Her job was different. Her responsibility was to make the galaxy see the truth.
So, Grandmaster Alexandria Voran stepped out of the Temple on onto the steps. Her face a regal mask as her robes flapped casually in the wind. She was the imagine of the Order. Her feet echoed on the stone steps until she stood before the reporters. The Morellian's tone made clear her purpose.
"Denon is free." Images of celebrations across the world played on the holos behind her. Raucous crowds cheered the freedom fighters. "Lives were sacrificed so the people of Denon would finally be free of the yoke of the Sith...finally unshackled of Imperial oppression... finally safe to rejoin the Free Worlds Alliance." Already Denon was preparing to returning formally to the FWA. "For this, we ask nothing, for it is our duty to defend life and liberty throughout the galaxy." Alex had already made preparations to visit Denon and open a training center. That was by invitation. "I ask only this. Remember it was Jedi who lowered the defenses so the Alliance fleet could move in...it was Jedi who prepared the way...it was Jedi who gave their lives so that Denon could be free." She paused for a moment. "And we will do so again. No matter the cost." Alex nodded and turned to walk back into the Temple.
