Cyutadakyr had been busy renovating a decrepit old lakeside manor for some time, the inclusion of some hired help had sped the process up quite nicely, although there was still much to do before it was complete. This didn't mean that the pureblood could rest on her laurels, though, and today she had a particular interest to attend to.

Standing in the courtyard of the manor, the Sith Master awaited the arrival of a fresh face from the academy in her thick winter coat. Standing tall and proud, she hoped to measure the character of this up-and-coming pureblood before assessing her suitability for further missions.

Occasionally, taller still warrior types in their fur coats and braided hair walked around the courtyard as they fulfilled their tasks of the day. From the outside at least, the large manor still had character even in its worse state, but its potential remained. Cyutadakyr hoped that in time, this potential could be unlocked and its full use obtained.

"Hello, Acolyte Serket, welcome to my new home." She said politely, gesturing to the manor behind her. "You'll have to forgive the work in progress, but if you'll join me somewhere warmer, I'm just not as fond of the cold as you might be." The pair would shortly depart for the front door, gently closing it behind them to keep out the cold air. As they continued to walk, Cyu led the pair to a larger room filled with odd bits of furniture and the like, but more importantly a roaring fire along one of the walls kept the room toasty.

"Have you come to seek me out as a Master?" Cyutadakyr's eyes watched the other's every move, as she sat down on a wooden chair. Since advancing in rank, it was to be expected that she took on an apprentice. Whether that was this Acolyte or another, she would not take more than one and thus elected to choose carefully. But sometimes Acolytes sought out specific knowledge or training independently, "Or perhaps you have something else on your mind?"

Kyssiara stood before the old mansion, admiring its construction and location next to the nearby lake. I'm home. After a year in the Sith Academy on Umbara, she'd finally made her way back to Ziost, and with an important mission. Against all odds, she'd managed to get a meeting with the one Pureblood Sith who might stand the best chance of understanding her goals; the Sith Master, Cyutadakyr. The acolyte wore the standard black robes that most others of her station wore, though with an extra layer underneath, but was otherwise perfectly fine in the frosty winds of her homeworld. This was her chance, her opportunity to take the next step in her path as a Sith. The academy teachers were good, but they only taught the basics. If Kyssiara wanted to truly grow more powerful, she needed a closer and more powerful teacher.

The Pureblood made her way towards the large courtyard where she saw the target of her meeting standing. A small smile crept across her face before the woman even said anything. A hasty bow followed Cyu's welcome.

"Thank you for allowing me to come here!" The girl exclaimed with thinly veiled excitement. "I think this place looks amazing even like this!" She quickly followed the Sith Master into the manor, shaking off the remnants of the cold air as she adjusted to the heat. Kyssiara took a seat in the room Cyu led her to, eyes lingering on the fire for a moment. The way if crackled, danced, the raw energy expressed it its heat; it was almost trancelike. As much as the cold of Ziost was home, the acolyte found equal comfort in shimmering flames.

Her thoughts and gaze turned back to that if Cyutadakyr across from her, meeting the woman's eyes with a look of admiration as she questioned why Kyssiara was here. "I realize you might not have time or patience to train an acolyte; you know, being a Sith Master and all." The Pureblood began, her eyes briefly glancing down to the four- fingered hand she was absent-mindedly stretching. "But you've managed to get to this point despite not being... you know, one of those 'noble' blooded types. And you're not a man either."

It was an assumption on her part, but so-called noble Purebloods loved to flaunt their family names. Kyssiara had seen nothing to suggest Cyutadakyr had one in the academy files nor anywhere else. Better yet, she was one of very few Pureblood woman in the Sith; the acolyte had a poor relationship with men on account of her hatred for her unknown father. "I know I'm not much now, not compared to you at least, but I know I can be. I will be. I would be an honor to be your apprentice."

Cyutadakyr held a watchful gaze as Kyssiara spoke, picking up interesting titbits here and there. Training an acolyte was quite preferred, considering they'd had less opportunity to screw up on their own or, worse, under a poor teacher.

She also picked up the not so subtle hint of man-hating radiating off the younger woman. And to speak of nobility, likewise. With a smile, Cyu tried to suppress a chuckle. "In a galaxy surrounded by men, that could be lonely if you only walk with women of the right blood." Despite her own preference for women, Cyu often found herself on missions with all manner of men and creatures, princes and paupers.

With her fingers out stretched, the pureblood began twisting the flickering flame nestled comfortably in the firebox before stopping and letting it return to its normal state. "You are not the first to ask, but perhaps the first I will consider." The question of apprentice was a difficult one, the student was the teachers' responsibility, their wins shared as their defeats could be too.

"Tell me something about yourself that won't be on your record, and your strengths and weaknesses." This would help guide the Master where to begin her training, which areas she might be deficient in, and the like.

Kyssiara nodded respectfully in response to Cyutadakyr's response, even if she didn't quite agree at the moment. She'd only need to tolerate them enough to climb the ladder to power. That being said, she'd rather not have to simply tolerate a master, but rather have someone she could learn from, respect, and grow with. She watched as the Sith master manipulated the fire burning in the fireplace, a twinge of excitement in the Pureblood's gut as the woman mentioned she might consider taking her on as an apprentice.

"My strengths?" Kyssiara began, her attention turning back towards the fireplace.
"Well, I don't mean to brag, but I'm pretty good at this." the acolyte whispered into Cyu's mind, assuming the Pureblood let her in, as a means of showing off two skills at once. She stood up and walked forwards with outstretched hands, beckoning the fire forward from the fireplace, winding it in a wide arc around her body like a snake before throwing it back into the fire with a small explosion of embers. There really was a cruel beauty to flames, wasn't there? To emphasize her point, the Pureblood pulled her chair towards herself with the Force before sitting again, a smile on her face.

She had to be humble to though, no point in acting like a know-it-all. Especially not in front of a Master. Unclipping the lightsaber hilt from her belt, Kyssiara weighed the object in her palm before returning her gaze to meet that of Cyutadakyr. "On the other hand, my bladework's not exactly top of the class... I like talking to people too, but I think I'm a little too intense sometimes. You probably wouldn't want to run the chance of me accidentally screwing up some secret diplomatic mission right now." the girl added, her smile turning to a slight frown.
