Nar Shaddaa wasn't a place that Rell found herself often. Truth be told, it also wasn't a place she actively disliked either. There were a lot of.. entertaining things to do on the Smuggler's Moon, even for those that might not be so inclined on blatant criminality.

Rell had always been a pretty decent pazaak player, having learned the game when she was just a kid. Given that typical Jedi work wasn't necessarily the best paying gig out there, Rell found that she could at least make enough cash to get by playing pazak at the random cantinas she always found herself in anyway. Without fail, there was always someone around that wanted to play and had credits burning a hole in their pocket.

Tonight, Rell was at a cantina called the Winking Wermal playing pazaak with a Rodian woman was actually pretty good. Rell couldn't quite tell how the Rodian always seemed to have exactly what she needed to win the hand, but something just seemed a little bit... off to her. Of course, that could have just been her competitive nature and ego getting in the way - wouldn't have been the first time, certainly - but this didn't feel like just being a sore loser.

They'd been playing for the better part of a couple hours before Rell finally saw the tell she'd been looking for. This chick was cheating!

Eyeing the Rodian woman venomously, Rell stood up from her seat swiftly and grabbed the woman's wrist. Before she could get a good hold of her though, the woman went on a deadass sprint out the door.

Hey, stop that woman! She's a cheat! Rell shouted as the woman made it to the exit and out into the street.

Another patron from the cantina laughed before saying, Good luck with that one kid. That's Geena Callo, she's more slippery than a kreetch eel.

Fuck. Was all Rell managed to get out before she went sprinting after Geena, crashing out into the Nar Shaddaaian streets.

The dim lit light of a nearby shoddy neon sign blinked in and out across the hooded reflection of Null's visor, who was looking down at the tracking fob he'd been holding, then back up to the fleeing Rodian across the street. His head slunk back as he realized the target he'd been tracking was once again on the run. A deep synthetic sigh escaped the scrambled vocalizer in the helm of his Knight Lurker Armor, which was mostly concealed under his long armorweave coat.

He reluctantly began to lift his left hand forward without any sense of haste, gradually feeling out through the ebb and flow as his gloved fingertips unfurled for but a moment when someone else suddenly caught his attention. Null's body froze, and his head turned slightly to the side where he noticed the raven-haired individual who seemed to be pursuing his quarry.

Null then snapped his head back to the opposite side of the street where he barely noticed the Rodian in time before she slipped into an adjacent alley. He let a lightly grumpy groan, dropped his arm to the side, and bolted into the alley behind him, glancing down at the tracker occasionally to verify that she was continuing down the parallel alley in a vaguely straight line. If his memory of the area was correct, then he recalled a small clearing ahead that connected the two alleys, where he hoped he'd be able to cut her off.

He couldn't shake the thought of the mysterious woman who had stumbled out of the cantina, but if she was out to kill his target then he was going to have to get to her first. This bounty could only be taken in alive, and he planned to collect.

Why did Nar Shaddaa have to be so crowded! Trying to keep pace Geena was already hard enough without having to dip and dodge between the wandering masses. After running headlong into the backside of a thicker than average Gammorrean, Rell was starting to get more than frustrated when at last there was a break in the seas and Geena was heading down a less crowded alley.

Stop! She shouted futilely, as if the criminal was going to just give up simply because she asked. Ugh.

Rell was beginning to regret the several mixed drinks she'd had at the cantina. Slightly drunken sprinting wasn't exactly her forte, but she wasn't going to let this rapscallion get away that easily.

With the force to aid her, Rell eventually started to catch up. As they approached a clearing that seemed to connect to another alley, Rell reached out with the force to trip up Geena, sending her flailing through the air and landing face first on the ground.

You cheated the wrong woman, Rell said as she slowed up and got closer to Geena.

Rell wasn't going to kill Geena or anything, though she did have half a mind to kick her ass to teach her a lesson. Though, if anyone happened to be watching the two at the moment, they might think otherwise - given how Rell was looming over Geena as she cowered on the ground.

Luckily, they were alone so it didn't really matter.

Right?

'Just around this corner...' The young man thought to himself as he tucked the tracker into his pocket. A few moments later the alley would break away into the clearing, and the bounty hunter would come sliding around the corner with the lower end of his long black coat billowing in his wake. It would be easy for the only other two individuals in the small clearing to notice the blaster pistol and vibroblade strapped to each side of his hips.

Things didn't look good. The woman who'd been giving chase had managed to catch up with his target, peaking the question as to whether this individual was just exceptionally swift, or if something familiar had enhanced her abilities. Regardless, the look on both of their faces made him feel like she was about to pummel his target to death. He wasn't completely sure, but he wasn't about to take that chance.

"Wait!" The deep and grungy echo of his scrambled voice called out to the raven-haired woman. Without waiting for her to wait, Null pulled the ethereal essence into his legs, leaned forward, and suddenly shot his entire body toward his bounty's pursuer. He intended to tackle her against the metal wall next to her and Geena, hopefully buying himself enough time to talk her down from killing the Rodian, if that had even been her intention.

If his maneuver worked, then he'd slam her hips into the wall with his, and then go to wrap his hands around her wrists so he could attempt to pin them against the wall next to the sides of her head -- if he was able to overpower her.
