"Politics..." Laila felt like she should care, but she just really didn't. Maybe if she were involved in the process she'd find it more intriguing, but an escort mission?

She wasn't excited, but if she wanted to be like her big brother, she'd have to suffer through the shitty assignments like this first. It was such a shame they wouldn't let her fast-track ahead a little bit. "A shame." She was going to be such a cool knight once she finally graduated.

"Princess Din, reporting for duty," she said, boredom leaking through into her tone when she met up with the Imperial Knight that would be accompanying her and the senator on the mission. The knight was a green-skinned nautolan who seemed equally as thrilled to see Laila as Laila was to see him.

"You're just another squire to me, kid," he stated plainly in response. He pointed to the name embossed into his armor and introduced himself. "Knight Wallis. The senator should be arriving shortly. Be sure you behave. I'm not a babysitter."

Laila, who took offense, immediately retorted. "Don't call me kid. I'm fifteen." This earned her a glare from the nautolan knight, but she only glared back harder. But before any more arguing could ensue, the hiss of a door sliding open caught both of their attention. While Knight Wallis snapped to attention, Laila simply glanced over and rotated her body toward the door as the senator entered.

[Xylan Shrialla]

Laila Din, the sister of the great Altair Din. It was a surprise for Xylan that she was the one that was selected to go with him. This fact immediately made him search how he could turn her into an ally. After all, her brother still was the most powerful person in the Empire, with even the Emperor only coming in second.

To his surprise, the girl had a page in social media and posted there frequently. The Senator was very amused by it and after reading many of the things that she posted, Xylan couldn’t avoid smiling in amusement. The girl seemed to have personality and it made him believe that or he would like her, or hate completely.

When the elevator stopped and opened the door, Xylan walked out of it. As always, he was dressed in fancy clothes, seeking to impress the individuals that they were going to meet. Zanah was behind him, like a shadow. She was wearing a yellow turtleneck sweater, a black dress jacket, black pants, and black medium-heel shoes. On top of all that was her glasses and the black hair pulled back in a bun, with some gray strands starting to appear among the black ones. It was her typical clothes.

Seeing the two Imperial Knights waiting for them, a large smile appeared on the Senator's lips. “Hello, friends! I’m Senator Xylan Shrialla and it’s a pleasure to work with you two.” he turned to point at the woman that was like his second shadow. “This is Zanah, my chief aide and bodyguard.” she only nodded, her icy blue eyes studying the two Force users. “Did our hosts already arrive?”

Senator Xylan made his arrival, saving Laila from the pain and agony of having to continue speaking with Knight Wallis, for now, at least. The senator was dressed in a very nice, formal outfit that made Laila wistful of the dresses and cute, expensive clothing that she could be wearing instead of the boring, uninventive squire armor it was “required” she wear on missions like this.

Honestly, couldn’t they like, hire a designer or something?

”No, they have not,” Knight Willis responded after giving a nod of acknowledgment to Zanah, the aide and bodyguard. Laila, in the meantime, wondered what her purpose was here if the senator already had protection. ”I am Knight Wallis, and this is Squire Din. We will be your escorts for this mission.”

At the mention of her name, Laila would give the senator and his aide a lazy salute.

[Xylan Shrialla]

"This is strange." Xylan said, when the Knight said that their hosts still didn’t arrive. They were official Imperial diplomats seeking to make better trade agreements, it wasn’t correct for them to be left waiting. However, the Tionese would think about it later, now he had two Imperial Knights to meet.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Knight Wallis." he smiled at the Nautolan who had a face worse than a Hutt. He probably was the ugliest Imperial Knight that the Tionese ever saw. Then he turned to look at the Squire. "Nice to meet you, Squire Din." the girl seemed so bored, very different from what he had saw in her social media.

He didn’t blame her, being around someone like Wallis was a torture. Xylan already feels tortured by only looking at him. His humor probably wasn’t good either.

"Well, since they didn’t arrive, we need to wait." he said, while taking a seat. Zanah remained next to him, having said nothing to the Knights, only nodded when they greeted her. The group would need to wait for some hours, until the door was finally open, revealling a well dressed male Nothooin.

"Hello! I'm very sorry for the delay. I'm representative Thervas Chalkinsi, of the Anoat Fuel Conglomerate and I'm here to help with the talks." the Senator smiled, but he wasn’t sure. There was something strange about the long time of wait.
