Full Disclosure

Location: Mondder, Etti IV

"You ready?" Larson ignored the caller as he straighten his tie in a mirror. "Do you reckon this is a risk worth taking, boss? We've got a good gig as is. Doesn't seem to be much of a point in putting our heads above the parapet like this." the voice continued over his headset before he eventually responded.

"You need to dream big." he replied, walking toward the door of the restroom and out into a dark corridor, cleaned to perfection. He was on the fifty-sixth floor of one of the multiple skyscrapers that dotted the cityscape of Mondder, capital of Etti IV, the beating heart of the corporate sector. "If we can bring them together, we can expand faster, take huge swatches of the sect -" he stopped as his assistant interrupted him on the comm.

"I know that boss, but the ris -"

"Are worth it for what we could achieve. Anyway, I'll call you back, need to get this started." Larson closed the comlink off and walked into the meeting room, to get the merger talks underway. Entering the room, he walked toward the head of the table, past it and off to one of the seats that lined the table, where his name was picked out in a holographic placement sign.

Kat marched through the streets of Mondder, simultaneously entranced by the sights and overwhelmed by the sensory overload. The lights, smells, and sounds combined into one giant painful mass in her mind. Still, this was nothing new for her. And today wasn't a day she would allow herself to succumb to the pain. Besides, once they got inside, the pain should lessen, so she hoped.

Kat was clad in shorts and top combo, leaving her midriff and legs exposed; each was black and dotted with white like a starry field. The snake skin was soft, pulled from a Star-Adder Kat had personally killed on Rattatak. Her skin was painted an ossuary white, and black lines dotted with white, resembling the snake she wore, slithered down from the corners of her mouth and eyes, avoiding scars in an intricate path towards the ground.

She didn't much care for the makeup, other than it bringing her closer to her people, as it was at times hot and a distraction should she get into a fight. But she was representing Rattatak right now, so she had to be Rattataki.

At her side walked a large man named Reman, shorter than her by a few inches. He was a true native Rattataki and the chosen representative by the weapons foundries to Kat's rule. She appreciated his presence, as his size belied intellect you wouldn't often see in tribal folk. More often than not, that intellect was bent on helping her understand the nuance of Rattataki culture in terms of weaponry.

There was a lot to remember.

Kat entered the building Reman directed her to; the name escaped her. The consternation of the guards inside grew as they walked in, visibly armed with blasters. Kat, of course, had her trusty telescopic shovel, and Reman carried a whole litany of gear. Thankfully, they had an invite and were somewhat intimidating; the guards let them through without issue.

They followed a functionary that Kat barely listened to, instead taking in the construction of the building and the décor scattered around. Finally, however, they reached the supposed meeting room. Kat walked in and scanned the area, immediately seeing the man she assumed to be Larson Kao already waiting. There were words displayed in front of seats, but Kat's attempt to learn to read galactic basic had taken a backseat to... everything else on Rattatak, she supposed.

So, happily ignorant, she pulled out a chair near the head of the table, but not in the principle seat, because this was not her home. She sat, and Reman sat next to her, both sets of eyes never leaving the businessman in front of them. "You must be Larson Kao; I am Katherine Stargazer."

Vaidas hadn't been to Monderr before. He had absolutely no idea where the hell this meeting was even taking place. Even though he had be given directions from Mr. Kao, they weren't exactly the clearest. By the time he even gets to this meeting, there's a high chance it would've been finished.

He walked through the streets as fast as he could, he felt the sweat dripping from the back of his neck. Building after building he past. But the directions on his data pad told him to keep going. His sense of direction wasn't the best to begin with, and the fact that he'd never been to Monderr, let alone this planet, didn't help either.

His data pad finally bleeped at him and told him he had made it to his destination. He looked around him, there was nothing around him but shops and a tall skyscraper. He looked inside the skyscraper and saw that several armed guards stationed within the entrance alone. You're kidding...

That has to be the building. He shouldn't be cursing his employer but he did so regardless. Instead of walking inside the building however like any normal person would, he walked past it as well as a few shops, and turned down an alleyway and made his way towards the back of the building. He knew that walking in there would be a mistake, the guards would probably doubt the legitimacy of his invitation. Within five minutes he faced the back of the building and noted several vents. Climbing buildings through their ventilation units seems to have become Vaidas's specialty as of late. He managed to pry a vent cover off and he climbed in.

Being such a large man doesn't benefit Vaidas at all in these situations, luckily for him, he happens to be rather flexible thanks to all those yoga classes he took a few years ago as a hobby. Within half an hour, he must have climbed through multiple floors. He made his way through the ventilation system like it was nothing, he passed over vent cover after vent cover. He was about to turn the corner and climb up another floor when he heard a door open beneath him. He paused and listened. A woman spoke and mentioned Larson Kao. Vaidas maneuvered himself around and peered down the vent.

Larson Kao sat at the head of the table. Vaidas flipped himself around, before their conversation could continue Vaidas started bashing the vent cover with both of his feet. He knew he was making a lot of noise, but it didn't matter. Kao knew he was coming. Finally the vent cover gave way and fell open. The problem was Vaidas was just about to give it another kick when it gave way. Instead of hitting the vent cover, his feet propelled him through the hole and a rather loud crunch echoed the room. Vaidas had completely faceplanted the table breaking it in half.

Since his father had stepped down from the presidency of the UldinAgro and left him in his place, Zeish didn’t have many opportunities to leave Hetzal Prime. However, the situation of the company wasn’t good as it had been during the time of the High Republic. For its survival, the man needed to seek help outside of his homeworld.

This was the reason that he was in Mondder. He had received an invitation from a man called Larson Kao to discuss business. Zeish hoped that it would be something good. If the situation of the UldinAgro didn’t change soon, there was a great chance that they were going to be forced to close in the close future.

While he waited for the arrival of Larson, Zeish watched the other people around the table of the meeting room. There was a strange woman and what seemed to be a Mandalorian. It made him question what was the purpose of this meeting, because these people seemed to be the type that would be around a Hutt rather than with a businessman.

When Larson arrived in the room, Zeish felt relieved that at least he looked like a businessman. After the man sat on the table, the Hetzalian waited for him to start talking about what he wanted. Hopefully it would a solution for the problems of his company.

Gesturing to a cadre of droids resting outside of the room, Larson waved toward the table and the downed mercenary "Clear this up." he instructed, visibly annoyed at the disruption to his meeting. "Stargazer, Uldin, thank you both for coming today." he said quickly, seeking to move the conversation back to business and away from the distraction.

"As both of you are, no doubt aware, there is a considerable amount of change taking place across the galaxy, and such change brings with it opportunity." he looked pointedly at both of them, aware of their own commercial struggles in the current climate "I am proposing that we make this change for what it is, a tide we can ride to expand and grow our business." he added, before briefly pausing as he moved on.

"Weapons, logistics, agriculture. Three key areas have an enormous demand across the known galaxy. I would like to ask all of you to imagine what could be achieved if we worked together."

The men of Mondder have strange cultural practices, Kat thought. She had been about to draw her shovel and start chopping at the stunned man, yet the others seemed unphased, so this must be common. She had stood and taken a fighting stance once the armored man crashed down but slowly sank back into her chair as the funny-looking robots were let in.

Keeping one eye on the downed man and gesturing for Reman to put away his disintegrator, Kat turned her attention back to the 'businessmen.' "Growth is good, yet it's easy to say we should work together, but you haven't explained why it should be this group Rattatak should work with?"

Kat, of course, had done some research on the companies she would be partnering with, and while she could see the potential in the abstract, as far as she was concerned, it was their job to convince her. "You haven't even introduced yourselves, so how do I know you are the men I have been invited to speak to?" These people were not friends, not yet, so Kat wouldn't feel bad about trying to get a greater negotiating position in this little cabal. Because this was a negotiation, nothing has been decided just yet.

Still, despite her strong words, there wasn't much business going through Rattatak. Kat needed this deal, or at least a deal like it, and none others were searching her out. She wasn't going to say any of that, of course.
