-Golgin Do'Krou, leading his squad members on a training exercise

Name:
Golgin Do'Krou
Age: 28
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 207 lbs
Eye Color: Brown
Hair Color: Brown
Species: Human
Faction: Onderon Military
Rank: Sergeant Major
Homeworld: Onderon
Characteristics of Note: He has various scars from battle across his face. Golgin is also very well built.

Personality: He was a very decisive and cunning man. His strategy was masterful, his will to lead soldiers awing. Some consider him loyal to the point of extremism. His squad members swear by his leadership - they follow him and trust his judgment. Never has he commanded someone to do a task that he would not do himself. He is blunt and is never afraid to critique, give a suggestion, or speak of horrible truths.

The Arsenal: He wears extremely modern armor, of which he designed himself with the help of Onderon's master armorsmith. There is a durasteel/titanium light mesh under the light, yet dense main armor layer which is also a classified mix of durasteel and titanium. The window of his helm can tint on demand. The entire suit is sealed. On the back is an air filter to filter out toxins and such, and there is also a compartment there to provide air in case if he is in a vacuum or underwater. There is also a lights mounted in the helm to point out threats at night. Night/infrared vision is available too - the small goggles flip out from a minuscule slot inside the helmet. Controls on both armbands dictate to the combat suit. There is also a communication system embedded within the suit.

Weapons include...
  • High-powered blaster rifle (with grenade launcher)
  • Two blaster pistols
  • Long titanium knife
  • Assorted grenades

History:

Where nobility is, controversy follows. Of course, when one discusses nobility and controversy in the same sentence, they are most likely hinting at an affair. Lord Axo Do'Krou had no shortage of affairs... this one just happened to go awry. He got his maid pregnant. It was the middle of the night, all quiet in the Do'Krou Onderonian estate. Yet, in the main foyer, under the glimmering flames of the fireplace, was Lord Axo Do'Krou, his fierce eyes glaring at his maid who cowered before him. He would kill her now, but he couldn't bear himself to do it while she carried his child. He would wait until she raised him. Then, he decided, is when he would rid of the wretched woman who dared to get pregnant. He placed a credit chip in her hand, which was more than enough credits to keep the woman's mouth shut. He ushered her out to an awaiting shuttle, which would bring her to Iziz. It was over with for now. His spies would tell him when to have her eliminated. He could finally rest in peace and not worry about his wife finding out for the time being.

Nine months later, the former maid, Lara, now a wealthy small business owner, gave birth to Golgin in Iziz. There, in Lara's small but elegant condominium, Golgin grew up. In all ways of the word, Golgin was spoiled - Lara hoped distracting Golgin with fancy toys would keep the boy's mind off the absence of his father. Months after his fourth birthday, in the middle of a humid night, his mother was killed in her sleep. Two slug bolts were wedged into her brain matter. The gunman set fire to the condo, and carried Golgin out to the streets. Golgin was motherless, with no house. Needless to say, he was a confused child. After a week of surviving on the streets he was picked up by an orphanage where he stood until he was five years of age. At five, startled by the lackluster environment of the orphanage, he fled. Out of the orphanage, and back on the streets, he was kidnapped by an underground crime syndicate which sold child servants.

After a month in holding, Golgin was being shipped to his new home as a servant - the Do'Krou estate. Upon arrival, his father recognized him immediately. Pains of sympathy and disgust rain through his very veins. Not wanting to jeopardize his marriage and standing, Golgin was quickly kicked out into the wild jungle of Onderon. Golgin finally found a stable home in the jungle - he was quickly found by a tribe who took him in as their own.

Among the tribe he thrived - he received combat training, learned about running a tribe and managing its economy, attaining and maintaining the respect of one's peers, and the strategy of war. He flourished through this abnormal childhood - he found guardians who were not afraid to cherish him, and ones who were not afraid to teach him. Growing up, he gained much respect from those around him. An accomplished fighter and strategist in the tribal wars, he quickly surpassed boundaries of age and was a warlord by the age of twenty, sitting on the tribe's war and policy council.

His stay with the tribe soon came to an abrupt end, when a brigade of modern private soldiers took Golgin, now of age, to the Do'Krou estate. Golgin was brought to Lord Axo Do'Krou, who was on his deathbed. Axo revealed Golgin's drew heritage and lineage. Golgin didn't know how to react - now a hardened soldier, he would have appreciated his father's honesty much sooner than now. In a way, he was disgusted. After his father pledged the estate to Golgin, Golgin was all too happy to oblige when his father beckoned him to put him out of his misery. After smothering Lord Axo Do'Krou, Golgin had his father's body cremated. It was a custom in his tribe, and conveniently enough, a family tradition. Having no want of wealth, Golgin sold off the estate and put all of the funds in a private account for himself. Someday he would need it, whether for himself or family.

Out of the wild, Golgin saw the glory that was becoming Onderon. It was gradually growing more and more independent. Never before had Golgin felt more of a sense of planetary pride. A lifetime military man, he signed up for the military, choosing to be a foot soldier. He quickly rose in the ranks, gaining a reputation as a cunning soldier who was blunt and honest to his commanders and not afraid to go into battle under orders or by leading. He followed orders and got the job done, no questions asked. His motivation? Redeem himself, and the Do'Krou name, in his mind. By the age of 28, he was a rising star in the military and was promoted to Sergeant Major. Under an independent Onderon, he was all too happy to serve and fight for his supreme commander, King Jagged Feral.

Were you given permission to make your character at Sergeant Major rank?

Got a problem with that?

I don't know if they have titanium in Star Wars. Try bronzium or durasteel.

Whoops, m'bad.

I can understand, though. It doesn't seem like they'd have titanium when they have other alloys like durasteel. It doens't seem as "futuristic".

I don't get it. How were you interpreting what I said?
I was interpreting it as you didn't get why titanium would be used in Star Wars.
