The opportunity that Braedon's Lightsaber had given him thankfully allowed him to close the gap between the two combatants at least partially. However, the man slowed his speed to a walking pace once he saw that Barr had managed to destroy the weapon. Putting aside the thought that he would have to repair it in the near future, Braedon quickly sidestepped the first group of bolts that flew towards his head, having started moving when he saw the Mandalorian about to fire. It was lucky for the Thrysian that Disputer bolts were unable to travel at the same speed as regular projectiles, making it possible for him to dodge the attacks even when they came from 20 meters away. As he saw the 3 bolts pass he realized that the man was no longer firing single shots, having switched to burst fire instead.
The knowledge would help him as he lowered his Lightsaber in order to block the second burst of fire, this time aimed at the lower half of his body. He knew now that the weapon would burst in light once he had successfully deflected it, so the man cast his mind on his early blast deflection training. Just like the majority of Jedi Braedon had learned how to deflect blaster fire without the help of his sight, and so the second before the first of the 2nd group of shots connected with his Lightsaber, the man closed his eyes and used his old training in order to deflect the other two shots. He opened his eyes once more, his night-vision unimpaired by the Wren's fire, in order to repeat the process on the final burst of fire.
The Thrysian would continue to advance on the Mandalorians position, increasing his pace to a jog while still making sure that he would be able to react to any attacks that came his way. He would need to close the distance more, before he could utilize any of the weapons in his arsenal without being rendered defenseless.
