The crimson blade swung down through the air, the emerald green one rising to meet it.

A flash of light, a crash of sparks.

The blade was struck back, and with a mighty roar T'Truht bulled forwards, swinging in a wide arc, his hat flying off his head as he did so. His adversary laughed as he parried, yet T'Truht pushed forwards, step after step after step.

The Whiphid's eyes opened with a snap.

At first, he wondered where he was. It was dark, the throbbing of an engine was peacefully providing a backdrop, and the sheets of a bed were over him. Then he remembered; the mission to Leritor, the discussions with the Sauvax, the peace talks, the talks for the Republic. He closed his eyes momentarily again, swinging his legs out of the bed and rising to a sitting position as he felt around him through the Force. All was normal. Normal? After a dream like that? The Whiphid frowned; that was the third time in a month that the dream had recurred. What did it mean? Was there danger drawing near? Was danger already upon him, and yet the Dark Side had blinded him, his enemy using it as a veil to hide his true motives? No; T'Truht was of the Light, and the Light could perceive the Dark. Once again, T'Truht thought that the dream might be symbolic rather than literal; perhaps the enemy he saw was a group, an organisation? Or perhaps it was the symbolisation of an internal struggle, of a struggle with, perhaps, the Dark Side? Life always was a struggle against the Dark Side; that was what being a Jedi entailed.

T'Truht knew he could win such a battle.

Sighing, the Whiphid rose and drew his robes from the door, pulling them on his large frame and drawing his conical hat from his bedside stand. The hat was almost as much a part of him as the robes; he was renowned for it amongst the Jedi Order, yet it was a Whiphid tradition rather than, primarily, an aesthetic design. T'Truht was not particularly bothered about aesthetic appearances, airs and graces, unlike some of his comrades within the Jedi Order. Raising his hand, he opened the unlocked door, for he had nothing to fear on this ship, and exited into the aft hallway, taking care to be quiet so as not to disturb the slumber of his fellow Jedi. He was on this mission alongside fellow Jedi Council Member Haar, and his former apprentice, Misaki Aiko. He smiled; he could remember the days when he trained the young girl when she was but a padawan, young and new to the ideas of the Jedi Order. She was like an adopted daughter to him; he'd known her for a long time now. He was both proud and glad that she was here alongside him. Haar he'd known for some time too, but he was more of a friend. With two such capable Jedi alongside him, T'Truht had no need to feel the slightest bit worried.

That wasn't arrogance, that was fact.

Quietly making his way down the darkened hallways, kneading his eyes to remove the sleep from them, he entered the communal room of the ship and turned the lights on with a raise of his hand and a command through the Force; soon, their warm ambience filled the room. It was an early hour of morning; outside, all was dark, it being space, yet T'Truht could tell. They would arrive at Leritor around mid-morning; five hours until their estimated time of arrival. T'Truht knew that he wouldn't be getting any more sleep tonight; he was reasonably well rested, however, and the Force would sustain him. If he had woken now, he evidently needed no more sleep, seating himself on the soft floor in the middle of the room, T'Truht sat into a meditative position and closed his eyes, palms resting, facing upwards, upon his knees. His companions would be surfacing reasonably soon, and then they would need to prepare for the discussion with the Sauvax ahead. The Sauvax, appearance wise, would appear odd to most humans in the galaxy. T'Truht, however, was a Whiphid, and Haar a Wookiee. They were used to odd races.

Misaki was clever enough to be tactful.

The plan would be a success.

T'Truht could feel it.

((Haar isn't a wookiee. He's human. HOW DID YOU GET WOOKIEE?! :< ))

She isn't there. Haar had to remind himself of that fact again as he watched stars streak by from his seat behind the pilot seat. His disappeared master, his first one to be exact, is unlikely to be encountered, especially in such a region. The councilor brushed green-tinted hair out of his eyes, patiently waiting for the shuttle to arrive at Leritor.

Mortificar sat in his private quarters as the ship flew towards it's destination. He closed his eyes thinking on the force, allowing cold hatred to fill his being and expand outward. The air around him became fridgid spreading outward to the door. He reached out, his apprentice, an aspirant to the roll of instructor was elsewhere aboard the vessel. He had taught him to conceal their nature and would aid in this. No reason to give anything away until all things are in place...There were disguised as ambassadors from the hutts, this was simply going to be a covert operations and nothing and no one would get in the way of this. The republic would be gaining no more planets in it's favor. Mortificar would see to this personally...

Tahn sat in the cockpit of the vessel that was transporting him, and Master Mortificar; a dark jedi instructor, and master who was giving Tahn further training so that he could become an instructor one day. Tahn was impatient yeah he was looking forward for his first mission. Today he was not going to let master Mortificar down, today he was going to prove how worthy he was of being his apprentice. Tahn's mind was clouded with many thoughts, as he sat down cross legged. Yeah he sat down meditating as he used his strong emotions, and suffering to reach the force. Even tho The mission was not supposed to include any aggressive interaction with either the jedi, or the republic, but well if things went as the bogan wanted it to be the republic would lose a planet. Gladely Tahn was going to do his best to assure that.

Misaki never felt comfortable whilst traveling in the vacuum of space. It was the nothingness, the overwhelming nothingness just terrified her. No life, no objects, just empty space. There was that fact alone and then the idea of something happening to the ship and the thought of a grueseom death due to exposure to a vacuum. It sent a chill down her spine, enough of a chill that she wrapped the blankets around her tighter.

It took her a moment to wake up a bit and shake off some of the delirium that occured after waking from a deep sleep. Getting up she pulled the blankets from her and slowly walked to her quarter's wash room where she tended to her daily hygenic needs. After that she put on her clothes and shouldered her white Jedi robe. Before exiting her room she carefully put her lightsaber on her belt.

She walked out into the hall and was planning to pick up a nice meal to wake her up before she sensed Master T'Truht was awake. Smiling she quitly raced down the hallway, her barefeet making little noise. She was pleased to see that his back was facing towards her. She raced into the room and bounded towards him. Once within reach she clapped her hands over his eyes and tried to put her elbows into his clavicle area, causing minor discomfort and limiting his arm movement.

((OOC: My bad, Lavi.))

So engrossed was he in his meditation that he did not sense his padawan running in until it was too late; laughing as she jumped on him, he stood up, thus lifting her from the ground with him, before gently extricating her arms from his torso and lowering her to the ground. "Misaki." He said, fondly. "You've grown, as you always seem to do between the times when I see you." Tightening his robes, T'Truht crossed over to the navicomputer and examined it. "I'd hoped to be able to discuss what we meant to do on the planet with you two," T'Truht began, "but what was discussed prior to this mission will have to do; we've arrived, and earlier than I thought. The Whiphid peered out the window, at the panoramic view of the dusty, brownish-grey orb of a world beneath them. Such a world was filled with life, life which was calling out to T'Truht through the Force, and filled him with a sense of the happiness of being alive. A joy in the very connection he felt with the Force. The droid piloting the ship began to take them lower, specific features of the planet becoming more evident.

They were almost there.

The shuttle swooped down, a mountain range below them, known to the Sauvax as "the Bleaks" if T'Truht could remember correctly, the plains beneath them bathed in the midday sun. Individual Sauvax were like ants from this height, their amphibious form noticeable even from above. The problem with having a caste based society, focused on clans and not cities, meant that there was no centralised meeting space, for such occasions as these. No matter; a conclave of the most important figures in Sauvax society had been called together for this discussion, a discussion over whether Sauvax might even possibly become a member of the Galactic Republic. Yet there was something in the Force... the dream, other such worries... T'Truht had a feeling that this mission wasn't going to be completed as easily as he had initially felt or, indeed, hoped. Nonetheless, they would succeed. The Light side always did; always had.

Yet there could be change.

The shuttle gently landed itself, softly onto the plain below, the hatch opening to reveal the insides of the ship. Stepping over to Misaki, T'Truht gave her an encouraging pat on the shoulder, before making his way outside the door and onto the plains outside, where two, crab like Sauvax stood, waiting. "Greetings," T'Truht rumbled in his heavy basic, the Sauvax presumably being able to translate. "I am Jedi Council Member T'Truht, ambassador of the Republic. With me are fellow Jedi Council Member Haar, and Knight Misaki Aiko. Thank you for welcoming us to your planet, and a very beautiful planet it is indeed; may we be escorted to present our case to your leaders?" T'Truht spread his hands wide, in a gesture of peace.

"There is much to discuss."

Haar never was the most pleasant Jedi to converse with. He personally only had the slightest clue why, though the master did not look too deeply into it. His faults can easily be supplemented by others, as T'Truht had. Haar merely gave a short bow when introduced, so that the sauvax would be able to label him with the appropriate name, and waited as the formalities passed between the Jedi and the sauvax representatives.

There is much to discuss.

A second ship sat down, within about 10 meters of the other ship. Mortificar rose, donning his diplomatic robes, holding the colors of the hutt, stolen from the actual diplomats that were killed in order to give them this ship and their cover. He quickly advised Tahn to do the same. His face was disguised and, though pale showed none of the tale-tell signs of the dark sides twisting physical effects.

He disembarked the ship in time to hear the jedi say their final words. His lightsaber was hidden beneath his robes, there would be no chance of it slipping out unless he willed it so with the force. "Indeed there is much to discuss. You must be the Republic Diplomats the hutts told us may come?" He said offering them a smile. "It is most unfortunate that I and my other member of this diplomatic mission will have to give our side as well as listen to yours. I know you as well as I were hoping for a fast trip." He offered a smile, showing white teeth, not sharpened.

It seems he had caps put in for the occation. He essentially looked just like his old umbaraan self in all things. The cloak he cast with the force would stop the other force users from sensing his true motives and alignments as well as his apprentices, completeing the disguise. At least for now, if they had to reveal themselves or were discovered...well hopefully it would not come to such things.

At last the ship was there. Yeah in the destined place. Where the negotiations were taking place at.Doing what his master said, Tahn Donned the filthy, and disguting robes they got from the Hutts diplomants who were murdered. Tahn was sure that his master was going to cloak there apperance in the force, yeah after all he was a master of the force, and that was something easy for him to do. But still Tahn made sure that his emotions were hidden as well. Yeah he was just calm, and at peace with himself. He hated doing that since that was the jedi way, but that was important since the jedi were not from the kind of people who are to be taken lightly, specially if they were experinced, and old ones.

Tahn walked alongside his master as they both wore the disgusting, and filthy robes of the Hutts which his lightsaber was hidden under carefully. He made sure that his lightsaber was hidden carefully away from the sight of the jedi. He hated doing that as well very much yeah he had to hide his true self completly, but after all that was for the sake of the destruction of the jedi order, and the republic.

Tahn gave the republic diplomants a smile full of disgust, and hate as his master spoke, gladely unlike his master he looked like a typcial scum from the hutt empire. After all he was once a slave who lived on the forsaken planet tatooine.

OOC: Storm, Misaki is a Jedi Master.

When her former master spoke her name she bowed, unlike Haar she did so out of respect for the diplomats. She was a bit put off by their appearence thought. She had seen stranger things in the galaxy, but these people... sentients were something that she had only dreamed of. It was just a shame all these dreams had been nightmares. Putting such childish things aside she waited for the Jedi and their hosts to get to the meat of why everyone had gathered on this planet.

((OOC: Bah, once again, apologies. ))

T'Truht snarled as the voice reached him, more with instinct than any pent up form of anger. He had not felt their tremors through the Force, so intent was he on the negotiations they were planning with the Sauvax. Then again, neither of his companions had noticed either, so it wasn't as if he was particularly losing his touch. Having swung around, T'Truht slowly removed his hand from his lightsaber and steadied his swaying hat. It was important not to show violence before the Sauvax. The Sauvax guards had remained impassive as this short exchange had occurred, yet doubtlessly they were noting down what was occurring between the two parties. These others were presumably of the Dark Side; that much was a guess; their alignment was cloaked. They weren't, however, extravagantly strong, although the one that had spoken was the stronger. Turning to his companions, T'Truht signalled to them not to attack.

"Very well."

Was all he said, at first, inclining his head to the Sauvax guards as a means of apology. "In the name of democracy, you too will be allowed to present your case. However, if you attempt any underhand dealing, any violence or any spreading of the Dark Side which you will doubtlessly claim protects you, we shall have no choice but to stop you." T'Truht brushed his lightsaber beneath his robe, for now. Doubtlessly the gesture would not be lost on the Dark Side wielders. T'Truht would not allow the innocent Sauvax to be harmed. That was part of his duty as a Jedi. Watch them, T'Truht spoke, through mind, to Misaki and Haar, especially the one who was just spoke. I presume that they are, if Force sensitive, of the Dark side - if not, they are of the Hutt Empire. If it does come to conflict which, which is always a possibility, we can defeat them. Remember, don't let the Dark Side cloud your judgement. Keep your rationale and we can come out of this with a victory for the Republic.

A victory for the Republic, or a victory for democracy?

As a Jedi, T'Truht knew that it was folly to allow any speech or interaction with the Sauvax from the Dark Jedi; as an envoy of the Republic, democracy was vital, as was not making a show of violence before their hosts. For now, they would have to go with whatever machinations the Dark Jedi were hiding. Yet the underlying question, for T'Truht, was never far from the surface; who were these Dark Jedi? They professed to be of the Hutt Empire, which was a worrying idea indeed, however did the Hutt Empire have more of them? Could these be just wandering, rogue Dark Jedi, or a Force sensitive breed of mercenaries? Or, more worrying yet, could these be members of the Ospion, members who remained behind whilst the others went on their sojourn into the dark recesses of the galaxy? Dispelling such thought for the time being, focusing on the task at hand, T'Truht nodded to the guards.

"Lead on."

Mortificar looked on, bowing before the homeworld species leader, a sign of respect. "Indeed, I'm happy to begin as soon as possible. These sort of things are delicate after all." He said, his face the picture of tranquility. He entered his apprentices mind.

Don't do anything brash, I think that one of these is a master jedi, it could prove troublesome. This is, after all, a diplomatic meeting, so act with some diplomacy.

He was starting to wonder if his apprentice was ready for this sort of mission. It required more than just brute force. It required tact, and cunning. Deception...'well...we'll see won't we?' he thought to himself.

"I understand master." Tahn answered back through the force. Sadly that was a fact he had to act as if he was a peaceful diplomat. Even if a fight occurred it would be a hard fight to win. Yeah 4 against 2 was unfair, and specially if one of them was really a jedi master .

Doing like his master Tahn bowed before the Sauvex leader. He then gave the pathetic leader a warm, and friendly smile. It was a fake smile, but well distinguishing it from a real smile was pretty hard for sure.

I know, Haar answered through the mental connection that T'Truht produced, being sure that Misaki also heard.

If this person was stronger in the dark side than he appeared, Haar would be ready. Was it part of the Force's ultimate plan for him to be warned of such a possibility just recently: of a dark side sect rising to challenge the Jedi Order?

((My bad everyone, I totally have been swamped.))

The Sauvax sent a escort of sorts to meet with the two parties. The leader was a bright orange, larger than the others in the party. He held a translator so all could understand him. He began to talk in Basic, much to his own discomfort.

"Welcomme. We are heeree to take yooou to the Meeting Room. But-t-t first-t, we give you a gift-t-t of food." Two Sauvax each brought forth a plate, one to each party. On it was casual Sauvax food, in others words algae. "We askk yooou to eat ourr food."

"do we eat this?" Tahn spoke through the force to his master. However his looks were friendly and he did not seem to be nervous, or suspicious on the surface.

"what if it is poisonous, or something" Tahn spoke again through the force to his as he sat down on the floor, and got ready to eat from those creatures food. Well after all they might have to eat from to food to earn trust from these pathetic creatures.

Tahn's brain was clouded with many thought, but his eyes were still focused on the Jedi.

Of course we eat it... he said through the force quietly to his apprentice. Mortificar raised it and casually ate as though nothing was wrong, or his tastebuds might have been seared out. When he finished there was only the tiniest hint of disgust at the corners of his lips in what was otherwise a flawless mask that few would even piok up on.

"I understand" Tahn spoke through the force again. He then started to eat fast grabbing piles after piles. Well the food probably tasted bad, but compared to what he used to eat back then when he was a slave these algaes surely tasted good. Finally, Tahn finished the food. He surely ate in an uncivilized way, but well that probably did not seem like a thing that would get in the ways of the negotiations.
