Can't believe nobody here has posted the new trailer*

I saw it on FHM.com earlier and managed to find it on gametrailers too:

http://www.gametrailers.com/player/40830.html

Looks pretty damn awesome to me, what about you lot?

Oh and use this as an offical thread for it so we don't have 50 of them popping up over the next few months.

*Saying that, it's sod's law that someone has done and I missed it.

My sound is not on, but it looks great. The female xenologist or technician looks like my Amaterasu, though. Has the exact same hair style and similar facial features.

It looks like the flood will be apart of the game from what I've just seen in that trailer odd.

Really interested in the game, only thing I see a problem with is if that takes place 20 years before the Halo event. The UNSC would get wrecked, simply reading the books and how undermined they were from a Naval stand point. Their ground forces would be far below that of the Covenant too. Once you got a Spartan or two it might start to balance from a ground base stance, but in space you'd get wrecked either way unless you outnumbered them like 4 to 1. Look at Halo 2 with Earth, they had all their best ships and outnumbered the Covenant and still lost the space battle, wasn't until the Elites sided with them that it started to balance.

In the books, the UNSC had land superiority, but that hardly matters when the Covenant had superiority in space.

In a sense they had the land, all it took was some Elites and a pair of Hunters to take out a platoon though. If the UNSC ground force were well armed they could hold them off, but in most cases they weren't. A hunter is like a tank to a Marine or ODST, just remember reading the Fall of Reach and how quite a few of the base camps got demolished by ground forces. Not to mention the Banshees, Ghosts, Wraiths, and any glassing they did from space.

Would be tight to control a MAC cannon though.

They did get wrecked I believe that nearly 2/3 of the fleet sent to recapture harvest was destroyed. The UNSC had land superiority as Lavi said but it was not because of technology but the fact that most land battles were on human held worlds and they had no other options but to fight.

Er...in Halo 2 Regret FLED to Mombasa through the gap created by the couple of orbital guns the humans lost. The covenant lost that space battle, until Truth's fleet showed up, which was absolutely gigantic, along with the forerunner ship and then they began to win.

But yeah, Earth's space tech didn't change a major amount over the 20 years, and they had spartans then, Spartans were confirmed as being in the game, so we'll see some of their early missions that occur between Harvest, which occured at the same time as they were first really deployed as the actual Spartans, and the fall of Reach when they were decimated.

To be honest, I think Starcraft 2 will wipe this out.

It'll port over to PC, Halo 1 and 2 did, chances are 3 will make the jump eventually. Then Bungie knows RTS's are better on PC's so if it doesn't make the jump at some point, I would be very surprised.

My Only complaint is the Flood. The Trailer mentioned the Flood, but we never saw it or HEARD about it until the First Halo Game. So What the ****'s up with that, eh?

Everyone involved got infected/wiped out? Some kind of Halo type (but on a small scale) installation fired rendering any records useless and no mention of the flood? It was kept top secret by top brass?

I don't mind there being the Flood, I think it's kinda cool. I'll probably play as the Marines the most though!
