Scoundrels can be a pain in the ass, one who's a Corellian, even more so. And if he just happens to have one foot in his grave and nothing to loose? That's a recipe for disaster. Death beckons, let the last party begin!

PERSONALITY |
Though he wasn't born a Corellian, his upbringing has instilled in him all the traits that you would expect from one. Reckless, cocksure, with a complete disregard for authority, and a stark indifference towards his own mortality, he is Corellian through and through. He also possesses some measure of Corellian honour and courage, his actions during his temporary stint in the CSF having earned him a second class bloodstripe. He does not like to talk about the events that earned him the honour, but it is one of the few things he truly respects and holds dear.
He is also very much a narcissist, aware of the advantages he holds over the average Galatic denizen and proud of it. He knows he is in many ways better than those around him and is not afraid to remind others of the fact. He also has a temper, though it has transformed from the explosive, fiery beast of his teenage years to the cold, simmering beast that it is now. Cold, calculating and precise, he looses all empathy and emotion when he is in one of his moods, driven by a single-minded desire to eradicate whatever or whoever is the target of his fury.
His apathy, promiscuity, willingness to let go of his morals as per convenience, and his inclination towards violence make him easily fit into the role of an anti-hero. He isn't exactly a bad guy, but neither is he a knight in shining armour.
SKILLS |
Piloting – Ham is a more than competent pilot, Force enhanced reflexes and a sharper than average mind making placing him above the average pilot. He's no Corellian ace, but he does know his way around a ship and has managed to wriggle his way out of a tricky situation or two.
Marksmanship – Even without the unique skillshttp://bit.ly/1IGZIBu he picked up from his adoptive father, Ham is a master marksman. Capable of picking up almost any firearm, he is particularly deadly with projectile based weapons where he can use the Ysanna's trademark techniques to alter the bullet's trajectory through the Force. He can fire at a target, then "guide" the bullet to hit the target as it moved. While the ability is not particularly taxing, as Ham can fire whole clips out of a rifle while guiding the bullets through the Force, it does however require concentration.
Force Sensitivity – Trained by a former Imperial Knight, he is a highly skilled user of the Force. He is of the opinion that almost all Force powers are variations of a few styles of manipulating the Force, mental, physical and environmental; scornful of the common Jedi and Sith practise of naming techniques and the belief that each new "technique" requires a new approach to master. He sees then all as variations or combinations of those three basic manipulations. An odd side effect of him using the Force is that any time he draws on the Force animals and lesser sentients around him start acting erratically, as they would if a natural disaster were approaching; animals start howling, birds fly around aimlessly and crash into windows and each other, and if he's drawing really heavily on the Force then even sentients with particularly weak wills might start feeling the effects. Ham believes that the Force considers him to be an abomination, something unnatural that should never have been. As such the Force tries to reject him whenever he draws on its powers. Perpetual Chaos Engine – Ham, in the words of those fortunate few who have survived spending time with him, is chaos incarnate. He has an uncanny ability to make bad situations worse, as if the Force itself pushed him out as an agent of the worst interpretations of Murphy's Law. As for Ham himself, he thrives in the mess his actions can create, seeing patterns in the indecipherable mess and finding the one course of action that is most beneficial to him. He is very much one with the jazz hands.

BIOGRAPHY |
The trainer, a Ysanna mercenary named Jabe Sammich, had been hired as a combat trainer, but had been secretly working for a rival corporation who had promised him a great deal of money to get them an embryo sample or a young subject to recreate the results on their own. When a first generation subject of Project Kaizen, a female with the code name XZHS-419, made an escape attempt, blowing up part of the facility in the process, Jabe used the ensuing confusion to fake his and Ham's death, killed a number of subjects to make sell the charade, and made his escape.
But in the short time that he had come to know the child, and while making his escape, something odd happened, Jabe found himself caring for the child. Realising that he could not hand him over to be used as a lab rat, he made the decision to flee and raise the child instead. After months spent hopping around the Galaxy to loose any pursuers, they finally settled on Corellia. Jabe, using old connections, older stashes of credits he had hidden away for such situations, and more than a little unethical Force manipulation, opened up a small cantina in the city of Tyrena. Located in the Skids, a rough and dangerous section of the city, frequented by travellers and thrill seekers from all over the Galaxy, it was Jabe's idea of hiding in plain sight.
Ham, or Hammond as Jabe named him, grew strong and fast, revealing himself to be an exceedingly bright child. Growing in a region that was very much a hive of scum and villainy, and at a very impressionable age, he would have turned out a much darker person if not for the presence of Jabe, who taught, trained, and raised him like he would his own son. At the same time he learned from a number of regulars who frequented the cantina, card tricks, smuggling secrets, brawling, even pickpocketing and naval strategy, Ham had a more motley skill set than his creators would ever have imagined. But something he was still ignorant about was his own past. And while Jabe wanted to keep Ham's past hidden from the boy, Ham proved to be just too smart to be kept in the dark. By simply observing his father he was able to decipher that something had him very scared, that they were possibly on the run from something. When he finally gave in to Ham's persistent requests for information, Ham, despite his vast intellect, acted in a very teenage manner and ran away from home. It took him a year to make his peace with the revelation and he was already into his fifteenth year when he finally returned to Jabe.
But their reunion, such as it was, proved to be short lived. In his attempts to find Ham, and in growing desperation as the young man wasn't found, Jabe had reached out to old contacts he would normally not have risked. Word had spread that he was still alive, and ultimately reached the ears of Project Kaizen's leaders, who sent a swarm of bounty hunters to fish him out. They did not know about Ham, but the fact that someone with knowledge of their work was free in the Galaxy was risk enough for them and needed to be silenced. When they attacked, the cantina was destroyed, the bounty hunters killed to the last man and woman, and Jabe with half his head blown off.
For a time Ham was consumed by revenge, as he tracked down those who had created him to deliver his justice on them. But when he was finally able to track down one of the program's directors, the death gave him little satisfaction. It left him instead with the knowledge that his life was coming to an early end. It took him some time, and a lot of debauchery, to finally come to terms with the knowledge. He had two options ahead of him, either try and fix himself and make his peace with a shorter life. Having seen more than his share of old spacers drowning a life full of sorrows and regrets in their drinks to somehow arrive at the decision that he'd rather have a short and fulfilling life than a long one full of regrets.
His aim in life is simple, live it to the full. He no longer has anything to loose, and free of any such worries, does absolutely anything that suits his fancy. And his latest fancy just happens to be chasing the rumours of another Kaizen survivor, a young woman living among the Mandalorian clans. In that pursuit he is out to integrate himself with the clans, in the hopes of finding her and discovering more about her, in th hopes of learning what kind of life he had escaped when Jabe rescued him.

A full blown narcissist, he thinks the world of himself and loves basking in his own glory, unfound as it may be.[*]Von Raythe
Ham knows Von as simply the unknown subject whose escape attempt allowed him to flee Kaizen's clutches. He is seeking other survivors of the project in the hopes of some day finding Von and maybe thanking him for the unintentional favour that gave him his freedom.
