In America, all you can do at 18 is vote, buy cigs, not have your parents co-sign everything, and buy porn....I wouldn't exactly call that being an adult. 21 is an adult in America...don't let people lie to you
Happy Birthday, Dude!
I'll contribute to that. Thanks guys for two things... one wishing me a happy birthday, and two posting in mine more then Kurts, showing who you like more :p
In Canada you can have sex when you're 14. That is the best law on the planet. But I think the drinking age should be 16...it would hardly make a difference, everyone drinks. In the eyes of the law, you're an adult at the age of 18. But you can't buy alcohol until you're 21.
Same thing in Canada, except it's 19 for alcohol, 18 in Quebec(not sure if it's for all alcohol or not, would have to ask SIN).
In America I'd guess it's 21 for adult. It seems ridiculous if you're recognised as an adult but still aren't old enough to drink and gamble. The gambling age over here is 16...but the drinking age is 18, driving age is 17 and sex age is 16...me is confused...Yes, but in the eyes of the law you are an adult, just like in religion, I am an adult. Different views and privileges depending on various ages, confusing, yes it is. Not to mention you can't gamble until you are 21. I'm not a big alcohol guy, so when I am 18, everything you mentioned besides buy cigs is good for me.
Not anymore. It was changed back in March of this year I believe. It's now sixteen. However, their is a two year close in age exception for 14 and fifteen year olds, ie you can have sex with someone no more then two years older then you. Or is it that people who could have sex but are 14 or 15 Still can because it would be stupid to not allow people already able to do something that privilege? Not anymore. ie the equivalent of the grandfather Claus
I think he's asking whether people who were 14 or 15 when the law was changed are still allowed to be sexually active. What the hell are you talking about?
Yeah... That is what the American Grandfather Clause isI think he's asking whether people who were 14 or 15 when the law was changed are still allowed to be sexually active.
As long as they aren't over two years older then them.I think he's asking whether people who were 14 or 15 when the law was changed are still allowed to be sexually active.
