Changed name from harlequin

NAME: Lee Sonter

FACTION: Jedi Order

RANK: Knight

SPECIES: Balosar

AGE: 21

GENDER: Male

HEIGHT: 6 ft

WEIGHT: 152 lbs

EYES: Green

HAIR: White

SKIN: tan

CREDITS: 1000

DISTINGUISHING MARKS: N/A

DOMINATE HAND: left handed

FORCE SENSITIVE: Yes

STRENGTH: Medium strength. Not weak, but not strong
DEXTERITY: Somewhat agile. Again, average
CONSTITUTION: Average
INTELLIGENCE: Creative. Always thinks of strange ways to use things.medium intelligence otherwise, with an excellent memory.
WISDOM: Reckless and against all conventional wisdom.
CHARISMA: Above-average

FORCE POWERS: Force sense, Force Pull/Push, Telekinesis, Force Focus (Ability to focus force into small points), Force Speed (Short, almost instant bursts, much like teleportation), Force Sphere (Not a power, really. It means that he can not extend the force out of a sphere extending a few yards in all directions from his person.), Force drain (weak, only on plants and small animals),
Red Eye(He can see far more precisely and clearly, as well as farther and in the dark. He also has a degree of force sight with these eyes, and their most prominent ability is the ability to see predict movements based on muscles seen with the force. He stores excess force in his eyes each day before bed, so they are now like batteries of the force. He can release this force at will. The sheer amount of force released in his eyes pops blood vessels, turning them red. Because of this, overuse can cause bad effects, eventually leading to blindness.)

SKILLS: He is very creative in combat and can create new weapons on the fly (think Rambo 1) He has pretty much no skill with a blade and is abysmal with guns and blasters. However, he is a master of unarmed combat (think kung fu) and is a good shot with the bow. He is also skilled in woodsman ship.

Hand-to-Hand: Lee's teacher taught him two stances of hand-to-hand combat. The first was the solid fist. This stance was designed for defensive purposes. In it, the user places one hand behind his back and one hand, palm up, in from of him/her. This stance teaches muscle control and is intended to allow the user to block and parry attacks without having to shift one's position. It is supplemented with a variety of offensive kicks.

The second stance is an obscure stance not known to many. It actually contains a variety of stances within it, but all are just variations of it. This stance is known as the fluid strike stance. In it, the user takes a wide, elegant stance with both legs bent slightly. One arm is in front of the user, palm up, angles downwards, while the other is behind the user, palm up, angled upwards. The goal of the stance is to attack, block, parry, and dodge with a dancer's grace. It allows the user a variety of blocks and dodges, usually ending with a 180 degree rotation and either a strong, open palmed strike, or a quick series of strikes with the fingers.

Woodsmanship: Although he has no sense in weapons other than his bow, Lee is an excellent woodsman. If put in a wildlife area, he will flourish, and become dangerous. He can make a variety of traps including, but not limited to: spike pits, dagger launchers, spiked bars (think rambo), man crushers (tree falls on man), and even improvised catapults. He learned a majority of this from the outdoor part of his training, which took place away from Coruscant. However, he constantly refreshes this by hunting on Ossus.

LIGHTSABER/SWORD FORMS: Shii Cho

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES: He can fight exceptionally well in melee combat, but a ranged fight will kill him. In the wild, he is a force to be reckoned with, leaving traps, and using hit and run tactics.

GEAR: Flowing red robe (long sleeves). Compound Bow. 25 Arrows. Orange Lightsaber.

SHIP: N/A

PETS: N/A

PERSONALITY: Reckless and fun, Lee is a cheerful individual. He is rather impulsive, so he does do some strange things, but in battle he always plans ahead. He likes nothing more than to relax at a bar at the end of the the day. Because of this, he views the jedi code as "unimportant".

HISTORY: Lee was born on the planet Balosar to a relatively well-off family. His father was a death stick baron, but wanted his son to have a better education. He sent him to a military school on Corusant, where he graduated with average grades in everything except tactics. When he was tested with tactics, he outsmarted the exam proctor into theoretically marching his troops off of a cliff. When not at school, he trained in the art of unarmed combat with a master he had met in a bar. This master, who would never reveal his name, taught him everything Lee knows about hand-to-hand combat. While at the academy, he also learned much about woodsmanship. This he excelled at, and he soon became the best in his year. While learning woodsmanship, he also became aware of his talent woth the bow, and practiced often.

He soon became good, and, at a dueling ring, was noticed by a jedi. He was tested and found to be force sensitive. When he returned home, his father was in great debt, but did not tell Lee. His father had, in fact, had a shipment of his death-sticks intercepted by jedi, which the jedi have never told him. When he asked if he should join the jedi order, his father said yes, so as to have him escape from death or slavery. Lee later received a message saying his father had been killed by some thugs under control of the more prominent crime bosses of Balosar. He joined the order willfully, hoping not only to improve his combat skills and get some action, but also to become stronger to avenge his father.

He was trained by Lalita in the ways of the Jedi, becoming a Knight. He faced the challenge of learning Shii Cho, but he succeeded, with thte help of the jedi code. He learned some respect for it then. For the next four years, he simply practiced the jedi arts further, developing the Red Eye.

He took on a padawan, Lux Brutii.

I can feel the icy tone of sarcasm from across the Atlantic.

It's not sarcasm. I didn't know about that, and I'm only guessing that's where the name came from because I can't be bothered to read either of the articles.

Seriously? I stand corrected. You never here the Panic at the Disco song "Lying was the most fun..." like 3 years ago? That's when most people were like "Oh right, a harlequin!" I think I looked it up because of London Harlequins (a Rugby team), years ago...even though they have a dodgy kit they're probably the team I'd say I "support" in club rugby union (I don't follow it that much).

Even so, back to the topic of the thread!

Yes let's.

But seriously, Kurt is right. Stop the off topic posting and the spamming of Prygus' thread.

I think you could expand both the history and personality a little to go into more depth and detail about the character.

Definitely. Histories are my speciality. If you could find the ability in you to maybe write somewhere around forty lines of brilliant quality...?

Length =/= Quality.
Both are not necessary. Quality is far more important than length.
