[Ruzaan Kai]

It was two against one in favor of using the explosives to try and kill the Krayt dragon, and Ruzaan sunk back into his seat as his plea went unheard. There's no way we need explosives to take care of this he thought to himself; one good lightsaber strike should do it. Maybe the explosives are an ok backup plan another part of him argued; he more or less trusted Tiberius' lightsaber skills, but he had no idea if Emilia was capable enough to strike with precision.

Emilia's announcement was met with affronted silence by the Togruta. Of course she wanted him to be the bait! She'd probably planned this since they moment they'd met, and had only given him the water because she needed him alive the next day. She probably wouldn't even wait until he was clear of the explosives before detonating them!

Grumbling to himself and making up pretend arguments with the Sephi that he inevitably "won", Ruzaan set about unleashing his frustrations on the ground with a shovel, helping Tiberius bury a set of explosives.

One hot and sweaty hour later, the trap was set. Although digging had helped, Ruzaan felt his sour mood returning as the final preparations were made. He usually didn't mind taking risks for other people, but that was usually with the understanding that they would also do the same for him; he had no such delusions about Emilia. Marching out stoically towards the mouth of the cave, Ruzaan started halfheartedly yelling and waving his arms in front of the cave, when the cave started moving towards him. Ruzaan's heart thudded deep in his chest as he realized just how big Krayt dragons were; and this one was truly a monster. Oh... my... k-"

Unintelligible sounds started emanating from the Togruta as he turned and raced as fast as he possibly could towards where the explosives lay buried.

"Yaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhggggghhhhhblowitupblowitupblowitupblowitupaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!"

[Tiberius Fenric]

*A taste for humanoids, eh? Well, that’s comforting.* Tiberius thought to himself as they neared their destination. The containers of explosives could be seen in the distance and got steadily closer as the trio got nearer. Tiberius came to a stop next to the explosives and hopped off his bike. “Time to get to work I guess.” Tiberius stated plainly more to himself than anyone else.

The knight helped hook up the explosives to the detonators, and then help Ruzaan burry the explosives. As he did so he wondered why Ruzaan was so against using explosives on a krayt dragon. How did he expect them to deal with the monster? Ask it nicely to go away? Tiberius mind drifted to the dream from the night before and started to imagine a top hat wearing dragon emerging from its den. Tiberius shook his head and brought himself back to reality. It took a while, but it looked like the trap was finally set.

Somehow, the young Togruta wound up being the bait for this trap. Tiberius didn’t think that Emilia was serious about the padawan luring out the dragon by making noise. Regardless of how it happened though, Ruzaan was now standing in front of the cave where the krayt dragon supposedly resided. Tiberius took up a position behind a rock where he could clearly see the Togruta, but also be protected when the explosion took place.

The knight watched as the padawan listlessly flailed his arms and yelled. It did the trick. The massive beast could be seen coming towards the entrance of the cave. It stepped out into the harsh desert sunlight. Tiberius stuck his head out from behind the rock. “RUN RUZ, RUN!!!” he yelled, encouraging the young man to pick up his pace, unless he wanted to get eaten. Tiberius had full confidence the the Togruta's speed, though.

[Emilia Vuth]

After the group set up the explosives, a long, deep, guttural growl rumbled the ground around the three Jedi. Emilia looked up, and there it was: the dragon. No matter how many holoprojections she'd seen of its size compared to most humanoids, nothing compared to staring down the actual creature in person.

In that moment, Emilia felt so small.

But, she had to do this. Every single step she'd taken towards her goal had been a struggle. This one was not going to be the exception.

Maintaining her cold, stoic look, Emilia breathed in deeply. She slowly let out her breath, brought up both her hands and summoned her twin lightsabers to them. Each lightsaber let off a snap-hiss in a blaze of purple, igniting in tandem.

Without warning, Emilia ran out from behind the cover of the rock. She knew that the creature would likely see her lightsaber blades, and so the small sephi ran until she was further back from the explosives but able to help Ruzaan lure the creature into them.

"HEY!" her voice echoed loudly in the canyon they were in. Emilia then let out a loud, sharp whistle to accompany her shout.

Whether or not the Krayt Dragon heard Emilia, it headed straight in her direction. It was only a matter of seconds before part of its belly was overtop of the trap, because of the creatures speed.

Emilia leaned slightly forward, rising up her lightsabers as the creature's size became more and more real. The Force gathered around her while she focused. With all her being, she believed in the Light. And so in her moment need—needing courage—Emilia let go and gave her self fully to the Light's guidance, becoming a bacon to anyone who was sensitive to the Force.

"Now Tiberius!" Emilia commanded.

A series of explosions shook the ground even more violently than the creature itself, forcing Emilia to brace herself so she didn't lose her footing. The dragon raised its head to let out a cry as the explosion's burned it's belly skin.

Even though the sand was still flying up and obscuring the dragon's body, Emilia charged forward. The Force empowered her leap from the desert floor, propelling her through the air born sand and past the creature. As the creature came down from its scream, her left blade cut across it, partly on the belly, partly on the scales at the side of its body. It roared again.

When Emilia came flying out of the air born sand, she skid along the desert floor. Because she had her goggles on and a cloth over her lower face, she didn't get any sand in her eyes or mouth. She was able to continue focusing on the dragon, though it was then that she noticed her cut hadn't done much to it. It made sense since the creature likely had very thick skin.

While the sand began to lower back to the desert floor the creature let out another guttural growl, this time spitting out acid at the same time. Emilia rose up her hand and erected a shield to cover her. Its large cone of acid engulfed her entire shield, and the small sephi was forced to put all her focus on maintaining it so she wouldn't be cooked.

[Ruzaan Kai]

"Run Ruz, run!" Ruzaan faintly heard over the roaring of the Krayt dragon, his own echoing screams, and the frantic hammering of his heart. Really? I was going to turn around and try talking nicely to it the Togruta thought, but his breath was needed for escaping and not sarcasm. Besides, he was pretty sure that if he had the ability to speak coherently he'd instead use it to cuss out Emilia.

Bare feet pounding across the sand, Ruzaan raced away from the monster, dimly aware that he was approaching where the buried explosives were. This was good; either he'd make it past the explosives and to safety, or he'd be caught in the explosion and suddenly all of this wouldn't be his problem anymore. The clarity helped him focus, and from his vantage point Tiberius would notice that the Togruta accelerated rapidly, unintentionally using Force Speed to pull away from the Krayt Dragon as he successfully lured it over where the explosives were buried.

The next thing Ruzaan knew, the canyon shook under the concussive blast of the buried explosives detonating, and Ruzaan dared to come to a halt in order to admire the result. Unfortunately, the Jedi appeared to have only made the creature mad. In Ruzaan's opinion, the galaxy was sending clear warning signs to run the fuck away, but Emilia was pinned down by an uncomfortable quantity of acid spit... as if the Krayt dragon needed to be anymore fearsome. Ruzaan drew his double-bladed lightsaber and ignited it, hoping that Tiberius could hear him over the sounds of combat as well as the deep rumbling from the canyon that had yet to fade. "What do we do now?" he shouted.

[Tiberius Fenric]

Tiberius watched Ruzaan dash across the desert sand attempting to avoid getting eaten by the massive beast. The krayt dragon was almost in position. Emilia whistled and yelled and the dragon veered slightly towards her. The beast was now perfectly placed. The loud voice of the Sephi made it to Tiberius giving him the signal to detonate the explosives. The knight pushed the big red button and almost immediately the there was a wave of sand that went at least 20 meters in the air.

Through the rain of sand Tiberius could see the purple light emitted from Emilia’s lightsabers as she ran to attack the assumedly injured beast. When the sand started to clear it was evident that their attack had done little to harm the dragon and now Emilia was barely holding off a rain of acid.

Tiberius started to think that maybe he should have listened to Ruzaan’s advice and left when he had the chance. The knight now heard the voice of the Togruta asking what to do next. Tiberius, mind racing, remembered what he had researched the night before. “There’s a weak spot between the eyes!” He yelled to his companions. How they were going to strike between the eyes was anyone’s guess, but what choice did they have at this point but to try?

Tiberius ran over and jumped on one of the speeder bikes and started riding straight for the dragon who was still focused on spitting acid at Emilia. The bike went at top speed aimed at the foot of the Dragon. When he was about 10 meters away Tiberius jumped off the bike and left it to collide with the beast. As he hit the ground he rolled a couple meters before coming to a stop and getting to his feet. The bike exploded on impact, but seem to anger the creature more than anything. However, it did its intended purpose. The dragon stopped spitting acid at the white robed woman and now turned its attention to Tiberius, who had already begun his retreat. This was the end of his plan. It had not been very well thought out, but that’s what you get for thinking on the fly.

[Emilia Vuth]

The stream of acid spit stopped, and the creature stood up on it's back legs to turn around. Emilia's view of everything had been obfuscated by the thick, ozziness of the acid, so she wasn't sure what had caught the dragon's attention, but she pressed forward anyway. The small Jedi Knight moved forward with speed, swinging her right arm forward and tossing her lightsaber straight towards the creatures belly as it turned. Keeping her right saber.

The purple blade made contact with the edge of the dragon's belly and stuck deep into it like a spear. The dragon growled when the small plasma blade made contact but it's attention was still turning towards whatever else had caught it, so Emilia had no time to immediately go through with her plan. Instead she continued to use the Force to augment her speed.

Through the comm, she'd heard Tiberius mention another weak point on the dragon. With that in mind, the small sephi bent her knees and jumped. Wind wrapped around her lithe body. Slender and small, little held her back from being a blur in the air and landing on the dragons head.

But it felt her on its head and shook violently. So violently that Emilia felt her right foot slip.

All she could do in that moment, to prevent herself from falling off the head, was hold onto one of the dragons horns. But she felt herself losing her grip very quickly. Emilia had to make a split second decision and choose to give up on the idea of stabbing it between the eyes

Taking a deep breath, Emilia forced herself back to being focused and let go as she was swung forward. She let herself fall diagonally off the dragon's head, wind and sand rushed at her face about as quickly as her heart was beating. And then there it was: her other lightsaber still stuck at the side of the dragon's belly. Using her momentum Emilia grabbed the saber that was stuck deeply in the dragon, and kept moving forward.

The deeply embedded blade dragged across the dragon's belly, forcing the dragon to cry out a terrible mix of a high pitched screams and guttural roars. The dragon started to step back as she inflicted the grave wound. Emilia was moving so fast that once her hilt hit the scales it couldn't easily drag through she almost got whip lash. But she didn't let go of her hilt when she was stopped abruptly, she allowed the motion to send her and her hilt back. The blade was pulled out of the creature as it and Emilia fell violently towards the desert floor.

[Ruzaan Kai]

Ruzaan trembled as he watched the two Jedi Knights do battle with the gargantuan Krayt dragon- no, it was the canyon itself that was shuddering. Apparently the explosives had done more than injure the creature; they'd triggered a rockslide. Smaller rocks began tumbling down from the sides of the canyon, and Ruzaan raced to his speeder while an idea formed in his mind. "Get some distance! Rockslide!" he shouted through his goggle comms to Tiberius. "I'll get Emilia!"

By the time Emilia was stabbing away at the dragon, Ruzaan was speeding towards the combat. He spun the speeder near to where the dragon was thrashing around, doing its best to throw off Emila. Ruzaan had to admit that the Sephi, annoying as she might be, was holding her own... but lightsabers didn't look to be effective enough against this creature.

Then, thrown by the momentum of her attacks combined with the dragon's thrashing, Emilia was launched into the air and down towards the canyon floor. Piloting the speeder bike in close as best he could, the Togruta swerved so that Emilia had the chance to land on the seat behind him- hopefully, she still had enough wherewithal to land safely.

"Hold on!" the Togruta shouted, feeling a bump on the seat behind him. Assuming that she made it onto the speeder, Ruzaan would take off down the canyon, towards where several large boulders teetered precariously on the edges of the shaking cliffs. If they could just lead the Krayt dragon there...

[Tiberius Fenric]

Tiberius felt a stich in his side, but he would have to push through it or get eaten alive. Suddenly he heard the cry of the dragon. It was nearly deafening. Evidently, Emilia had managed to injure the beast, at least a little which caused a pause in the creature’s pursuit of Tiberius. He heard Ruzaan’s voice come over the comms. He warned them of a rock slide. Tiberius now set course for the speeder bike.

A rock slide could be a great opportunity to deal a lethal blow to the dragon. Holding his side Tiberius climbed onto the vehicle and took off. Ruzaan was already ahead of the knight and it seemed that he had had the same idea that Tiberius had. The knight sped up to catch up with his companion(s). “You think it’ll work?” he ask.

The dragon had renewed its pursuit of the Jedi. It seemed angrier than it ever had been now. Tiberius felt almost like a matador in a bull fight. Everything the trio had done thus far had only served to increase the beast’s anger and now it was their job to kill the furious creature. Tiberius looked behinf him in time to see a stream of acid coming from the mouth of the dragon. The knight swerved to avoid being liquefied by the acid. The stream his the ground beside him and a little bit of it splashed onto the knights robes. Smoke strated to ride from the spot and Tiberius tried to brush it off of his sleeve. There was now a nice breeze of his right arm where the fabric of his clothes had been dissolved by the acid.

Racing through the canyon Tiberius looked up to see the unstable boulders. With a little help from the force the knight knocked them loose. There was a loud crashing noise that come from behind the speeder bikes.

Tiberius slowed to a halt and looked behind them. There was a large cloud of dust that obscured his vision. Had they killed the beast? There was no noise that indicated life. “Did we do it?” He was still craning his neck to look behind him.

[Emilia Vuth]

For a second Emilia was almost certain she was going to collide with the desert floor. Luckily enough, Ruzaan's speeder caught her. Emilia was able to move herself around enough not to just bounce off/fall off the speeder when she landed.

But barely.

The speeder was moving at high speed, but for a good reason. The gargantuan Krayt dragon was barreling towards them, even though it was losing blood from the huge gash in it's stomach. Emilia assumed it'd bleed out over time, but possibly not before it killed the three Jedi. It was then that the small Jedi noticed where Ruzaan was going, and it clicked in what he was planning to do.

But then, "Acid spit!" Emilia shouted, tugging on the togruta's arm to make him turn sharply. By now, the boy should know that Emilia wasn't the type to enjoy being in the passenger seat. She was use to being the driver, and did not like putting her life into others hands.

Assuming they skid out of the way of the acid, Emilia raised up her hand and helped pull down some of the rocks. The rockslide was triggered fully by both her and Tiberius' efforts. The small sephi could hear the creatures final cries as the huge landslide crushed it.

She reached out with the Force after to see if she could sense life in the beast. Luckily, it was gone. "Yes, I think so," Emilia said, letting a breath out that she wasn't aware she'd been holding. Her heart was still beating pretty fast, and part of her was surprised to be alive.

But that she was alive...well, maybe she was crazy and out of the Orders control, but no one could doubt that she got results.

"I need to report this right away. The villagers could use the meat and other parts of the dragon, and it wont be long before scavengers try to take advantage of it," Emilia said. She had no desire to cash in on the dragon's parts or let them be taken when the poor locals could benefit from them.

[Ruzaan Kai]

Emilia landed a bit awkwardly on the speeder, but she did land- allowing Ruzaan to open the throttle as wide as possible and send the speeder screaming down the canyon. Immediately, it became clear that she was one of the backseat drivers he’d heard about. If he wasn’t so focused on dodging acid spit or falling boulders, Ruzaan would’ve given her a piece of his mind. Instead, he clenched his teeth and put all of his energy into steering through the chaos, his anger immediately evaporating in the face of the immense challenge that posed. Somehow, despite Emilia’s “assistance”, which tended to catch him off guard and make his task even harder, he managed to navigate the Obstacle Course of Death without them crashing or dying.

Ruzaan was vaguely aware of Emilia and Tiberius using the Force to pull rocks down on top of the Krayt dragon, but the first thing he did after the rumbling and roaring ceased was to bring the speeder to a halt, stagger off of it, and lie on the ground, as if its (now) unshakable presence underneath him might somehow help calm down his racing heart. He wasn’t hurt, outside of a few small bruises and a couple minor acid burns- but he also didn’t trust his legs to keep him upright after the half-dozen close calls they’d just had.

“What in the…!” he said, searching for words, “We should’ve brought more explosives!”

[Tiberius Fenric]

Well, it was official, the jedi had defeated the dragon. Emilia had confirmed it. The speeder bikes came to a stop Tiberius hopped off his. As the dust from the rockslide settled the head of the beast could be seen sticking out from beneath two of the boulders that had landed on top of it. He heard Ruzaan’s comment about the explosives. “I don’t know if it would have helped.” Tiberius stated looking back at the lifeless creature.

The canyon that they had entered provided some nice shade on this hot desert planet. There was even a nice breeze that was blowing. Tiberius hadn’t noticed how hot he had been until they had stopped. It was a nice place to take a quick break while they waited for all of their heart rates to drop back to a normal range.

Emilia explained how she wanted to pass on this new information for the villagers to take advantage of this victory. Tiberius nodded in response. He was a little sad that they would be leaving the massive pearl behind, but he figured that the village would have more use for it than he would. “Well, we better get going then.” Tiberius said making his way back to his bike. “We still have some raiders to deal with.”

[Emilia Vuth]

Emilia wasn't certain more explosives would've helped either. And she nodded when Tiberius suggested they get going. Though, she had to travel a small amount of distance to get to her speeder, since she hadn't used it during the conflict.

"You guys go ahead of me to the village," her voice crackled over the comm. Once at the speeder, Emilia brought up her leg abd sat on the bike. The bike didn't hum to life right away, however. Once she was comfortable on the speeder the small sephi pulled out her holocomm and called up Mance, the local leader of most of the villages around the area.

The pirate leader answered his comm and a holo image of him appeared above Emilia's comm. "Emilia! You're alive! How do you fair?" the leaders voice crackled through the comm.

"The krayt dragon is dead," she answered with her normal stoic tone.

There was a pause. Mance took a moment to absorb the shocking information before answering, "You did it? YOU DID IT!?" Emilia nodded, "Yes," turning the comm so that it'd show all the rubble over the dragons corpse.

"Amazing, amazing! We will keep our side of the deal. Our services are yours," the leader said, happily raising his arms, which was shown in his hologram.

Emilia simply turned the comm back to her, so that her image would appear on it again. "And I will keep my side of the deal, once I deal with the raiders Ill be on call for further assistance."

Mance nodded, happy she still planned to deal with the raiders. Before she arrived, he'd only expected her to deal with one of their major problems. Maybe she'd agreed to deal with both their problems after arrival, but he hadn't expected her to follow through with it. Let alone actually kill the dragon. "Wonderful!" he answered, but Emilia was not finished, "My people are on their way to tell the nearest village about the dragon's corpse, but you should still send some people right away to avoid losing meat or its pearl to scavengers."

She wasn't just wanting to do deals with these people, she wanted some sort of relationship and trust to form between her and them.

The leader paused again. He was not sure why the sephi wasn't going to cash in on all the parts that could be extracted from the dragon, but he knew the villages around would be grateful to have it. Food, to add to their stocks. "Very well," he answered simply.

With the conversation out of the way, Emilia hung up and pressed the controls on her bike forward. The speeder shot foward in a blur. At full speed, in an attempt to follow quickly after the two other Jedi.

[Ruzaan Kai]

It was all fine and well with Ruzaan that the villagers got to come deal with the remains of the Krayt dragon; as far as he was concerned, he'd seen enough of them for a lifetime. Instead, the Togruta focused on calming down while lying on the floor of the canyon. A few pebbles and smaller stones rattled their way down the canyon walls, but the worst of the shocks appeared to be over.

It wasn't long, however, before Emilia and Tiberius were looking ahead to part two of the mission; dealing with some raiders. Ruzaan was reluctant to stand up, feeling himself still shaking.... no, that was his datapad buzzing at him. Ruzaan hauled himself into a seated position and pulled out the device, wiping the canyon dust off the screen with one sleeve. "Uh, maybe you can drop me off at the village?" he asked aloud, turning to Tiberius and holding up his datapad by way of explanation. They only had two speeders now, and besides- he was being summoned back to Yavin IV. "Looks like I'm being recalled." The Council was probably wondering why he hadn't boarded the transport to leave Sernpidal last night.

It was with a strange mixture of disappointment and relief that Ruzaan mounted the speeder behind Tiberius, content to just hold on and not think about his harrowing escape moments earlier. "May the Force be with you" he said to Emilia. "Working with you has been..." aggravating? demeaning? exciting? he searched for the right word. "Unique" he said.

The ride back to the village was uneventful, which Ruzaan was grateful for. Soon, he was leaving the goggles with Tiberius and wishing the Jedi Knight farewell. "Good luck working with Emilia" he said, offering a hand to shake. Tiberius could take care of himself, so Ruzaan wasn't worried. The two Jedi Knights appeared to get along well, and would probably do even better without having to worry about him, anyways. "May the Force be with you."

Then, it was just a few steps to the connecting transport that would bring him to Sernpidal's main spaceport, and from there, back to Yavin IV.

[Tiberius Fenric]

“Sure thing.” Tiberius answered Ruzaan as he climbed onto his speeder bike. The Order might have been shorthanded and gave padawans a little more freedom as a result, but that didn’t mean that they didn’t like to keep close tabs in them. After the Togruta said his heartfelt good bye to Emilia the two jedi took off on the speeder bike, leaving the Sephi by herself in the canyon.

It didn’t take long before the pair arrived in the village. After disembarking from the bike Ruzaan extended his hand for a hand shake. Tiberius shook the padawan’s hand and repeated “May the force be with you.” Back to his fellow jedi. Tiberius watched as Ruzaan boarded the ship destined for Yavin. Once the togruta was out of sight it was time for Tiberius to finish what he came to this village to do.

Tiberius met with the leaders of the village and informed them about the recent slaying of the dragon and how they should go and take what they needed from the deceased creature. Once the knight had finished relaying the information he got back on his speeder and started making his way back to Emilia, or at least to where he had left her. She was liable to bolt without informing the knight, but Tiberius would cross that bridge if and when he got there.

Tiberius sped across the desert, kicking up sand behind him as he traveled. He was coming up on the mouth of the canyon when he spotted a group of individuals also had speeder bikes. The bikes were parked around the mouth of the canyon and about 20 beings were milling about the area. These did not look like villagers. Could they be the raiders that Mance had told Emilia and Tiberius about?

Tiberius neared the canyon entrance. He slowed his vehicle as he approached. The opening had been blocked off by this group of people. “Where you going, young blood?” A voice was directed at Tiberius “This area’s off limits.” Tiberius remained on his bike but turned to look in the direction of the voice and found that it belonged to a tall gran.

“That’s weird.” Tiberius began to reply. “Because I just came from there, and I’d like to go back” The gran looked the knight up and down. “Did you now? That’s too bad because it’s closed until further notice.” Tiberius was getting a little frustrated. He heard the sound of more speeder bikes starting up. The knight looked up and saw five vehicles speed off down the canyon in the direction of the krayt dragon. “I guess I’ll just have to wait until further notice.” Tiberius stated matter of factly. “Suit yourself.” The gran stated back, now looking past Tiberius rather than at him.

Tiberius had sensed several other beings approaching him from behind. The gran gave a nod and Tiberius leapt into the air and heard blaster fire almost immediately come from behind him. While in the air the knight called on his lightsaber and ignited it. He landed behind one of the gunmen who promptly had one of his arms taken off by Tiberius’ blade.

The other two gunmen turned to face the knight and his yellow blade. They began firing on Tiberius and were now joined by the gran who had pulled out his own blaster. Tiberius began deflecting the blaster bolts. As was common with makashi, Tiberius held his lightsaber with one hand as he deflected the blaster bolts. With his free hand he pushed out with the force and knocked one of the gunmen into one of the speeder bikes and knocked him out. One of the baster bolts the Tiberius deflected flew back and hit the third gunman in the chest and he collapsed to the ground.

Tiberius started to advance on the gran who was starting to retreat walking backwards and firing at Tiberius. Once within striking distance Tiberius swung and severed the alien’s hand that held the blaster. The knight turned around and saw the rest of the raider band charging at him now. They were armed with blasters, melee weapons, and Tiberius spotted one that was wearing a bandolier of thermal detonators. The knight reached out with the force and crushed one of the thermal detonators. There was a loud *BANG* and Tiberius felt a wave of heat from the explosion wash over him. All sorts of debris was flying through the air. The knight ducked behind the cover of his own speeder bike to avoid getting hit by any flying shrapnel.

The dust started to settle and Tiberius peaked out from behind his cover. The ground was now littered with chard body parts and flames. It looked like that had taken care of the raiders on his end. He wondered how Emilia was faring. He pulled the goggles down over his eyes. “Emilia, you there? Looks like you might be having some company.” He didn’t know if the sephi was wearing her goggles and was able to hear the knight, or if she was still in the area at all.

[Emilia Vuth]

On her way back to the leader, Emilia heard Tiberius' voice. He warned her of some "company" possibly ahead. And it was only a matter of moments before she saw who he was talking about.

Emilia stopped her speeder, getting off and grabbing her lightsaber. The lightsaber snap-hissed to life, and she engaged the few raiders that had made their way towards her. Two men, the last raiders, came towards her with blasters out. They fired at her and Emilia batted the shots away.

Using the Force she was able to close the space between them, though she was stopped for a second after feeling a blaster shot graze her shoulder. She hissed but kept going, able to cut through the blaster in one of the man's hands before pushing him, then repelling the other raider with the Force as well.

Both raiders hit rocky edges, dazed, and heard "GET OUT OF-" on their comms with the other raiders before the com was cut off, because the other raiders were taken out by Tiberius.

Emilia stood with her lightsaber in her hand like a statue, the humming of the blade filling the space between herself and the two last raiders. And the raiders ran, retreating. Emilia allowed it. There was no reason to kill them, and their experience here could repel other raiders from trying to do the same thing.

All that was left was to report this to the leader. And she did quickly after, with Tiberius by her side. Not only had she secured pirates and smugglers for the rebellion, but the trust of a people for her and the Jedi.
