Hey y'all! I'm new to the forums, and I have a question on powers and limitations within a given character.

The short version: An abomination of a Selkath stumbled upon the remnants of the Star Map of Manaan. He soon traveled to Korriban to see the power of the Force first-hand. He soon found himself in the tomb of Tulak Hord, and discovered the lost holocron of the ancient lord of the sith. He was Force Sensitive, but the council never found him, due to his family hiding his existence. He studied the holocron in secret, soon teaching himself the powers of the Sith, and adopting an unorthodox version of Juyo similar to Galen Marek's style. He left the planet to find the Night Sisters, hoping they would train him.

I realise the story's kinda hokey, but it is still a skeleton.

Thanks for the help in advance!

I would help, but according to my color, we are enemies. Besides, sith don't exist in this time line and neither do the star maps. Korriban is also a restricted planet. Tulak Hord hasn't been born yet. Who are the night sisters? Also you will most likely never be allowed to have self trained yourself.

Again, the storyline is a skeleton, not finalized. As for the Self-Training, he was locked in a sith tomb on a planet that I will go canon on based on timeline, which I need to work with. The Night Sisters are a splinter-group of dark jedi native to the planet of Dathomir. For more info, read the page on Wookieepedia.

There are no Sith in this timeline.

Secondly, if you're new to the site you do have to advance through the hierarchy of a given faction (the Bogan, who are like ancient Dark Jedi, the Jedi or any of the numerous Indies swimming around these days) and after that you can make a character up to your current rank. Ie, if you're a Jedi Knight, you can attain approval to make a Bogan Crusader, the Knight equivalent.

You can also ask an admin, though since you're new I don't know if that's a viable solution.

I believe there was a ruling a few months back disallowing the Night Sisters or Witches of Dathomir. Might have been one or both, but I'd check with someone a little more up-to-date before going through with the concept.

Aside from that, where are you looking to go with this? What do you want your character's motives to be? What made him the way he is? Why is he dark side? And, most importantly, do you want me to go in-depth with you throughout the creation process? =p

Again, its a work-in-progress

I want him to be a threat for the Jedi, but be from "outside the system," and thus mysterious to the current regime of dark jedi (note: I use sith interchangebly with the previous term). He wants to be a terror upon the galaxy and rule it alone. The reason he is what he is, is due to him discovering an ancient darkside relic at the bottom of the Hrakar Rift placed there by a darkside cult. He is dark side due to being denied tutelage of the Jedi Academy due to his weak force sensitivity (until he was trained by a holocron, he was barely as strong as the weakest youngling). And lastly, yes, I would like some assistance

It would be best to work your way up through the Bogan. The other Dark Side faction is the Darksabers as part of the Hutts, which are totally badass and I'm certainly not biased.

Either way, I suggest reading over our plethora of information threads to get the setting.

So self-teaching is sketchy at best?

What about races/societies who are force-sensitive and have their own doctrines?

Well if it is a belief then that is fine. But over all your training needs to be done with a force sensitive faction.

So being a Schenor who studied jedi, sith, and wook combat along with his own before joining one of the factions is a no-no?

What about just studying the weapon fighting style of the Wookiees?

That's fine. You wouldn't be a master unless you were taught by a Wookiee though.

He spent ten years under the tutelage of a wookiee to learn their fighting style, specifically, a single-weapon variant that would use his rather impressive size and strength to his advantage. The schenor are about 2.4 meters tall on average, and he is slightly bigger than normal, around 2.7 meters.
