Endyr Ratheon
vs.
Zaia Krodas

A woman rolls forward as shots miss.
A Mandalorian can move—she dodges.
Mando on the move! C’mere ya bitch!
All’s said and done— this is awesome.

As soon as his pistols missed their mark.
Endyr forgets them and extends his arms.
Flying further downward, might look like a hug.
But really he will squash that woman like a bug.

Not a moment too soon, hand on vambrace!
A Mandalorian man places hand near wrist!
Endyr will kiss Zaia—as though his lover!
On a wrist is Ratheon’s flamethrower!

-WHOOSH!-

“FARRIK”

A woman beats a man to the punch!
Fire spews and she lets him have it!
He has enough time for two tricks.
Finger fumbles—his shield emits.

At the same time, he spins aside.
His jetpack propels him to the right.
Vambrace’s shield keeps fire away.
He twirls—a ballerina—feels a flame.

It's the burn of a Mandalorian’s vengeance.
Toward his enemies—wrath—and reckon.
Endry Ratheon finally lands—sets down.
Plants two warrior feet upon a ground.

But this is no time for more talking.
He is running instead of walking.
A grenade flies from left hand.
No explosive—a flashbang.

In a helmet, HUD’s defensive visor.
He planned for it—but likely not her.
Either way, he moves to cover distance.
Grips a weapon—sword hilt—in right fist.

It’s basically the same as Casany’s.
Vibrosword but more like a dao.
Enough to kill our Zaia anyhow.
Her neck, his right to left—swings.

Zaia might get smart and just shoot.
Endyr has pistol in left hand now too.

Casany Praxor
vs.
Crux

Sequence of events.
Best way to keep track?
Think like it’s step by step.
Yes—combat is like a dance.

At his helmet, she swung.
He reacts with his duck.
Wolf—name is Crux.
He isn’t that dumb.

Yet, with his move, one problem.
She has beskar or just beskar.
In the sense of being armor.
Either way, too bad for him.

A hilt manages to strike
Casany in her abdomen.
Amounts to little, all right.
Armor defends this woman.

Her sword soars over his head.
Misses helmet but not over yet.
Her armor—braces for impact.
A Mandalorian will kill the man!

First she releases right hand from hilt.
But she keeps her left hand on it still.
They are up close and personal now.
Sky above but below is a rocky ground.

He pushes forward.
She pushes forward.
Right arm loops for his neck.
Crook of elbow beneath helmet.

Meanwhile, she loops her right leg
Behind her opponent’s own right leg.
And at that she pushes him downward!
He’s no Mandalorian! But he’s no coward!

Nonetheless, if Casany’s move is a success
Then her opponent will fall and land on his back.
A woman is a Mandalorian—yes—a kind of Man.
Will stab her sword for her foe’s throat again.

With all the force he’d put into his shove, Crux cursed when he realized that nearly all of it had been absorbed by Praxor’s beskar. KARK! Unfortunately, he’d banked on it giving him the upper hand, but now it had only left him vulnerable to her next attack. When he felt her arm around his neck and her leg pulling at his, he couldn’t do much to defend against it. Instead he fell, his back landing against the rocky ground in a painful thud.

However, when the sword came for his throat, Crux would lift his own in a last minute attempt to bat it to the side. There wouldn’t be much power behind it given how quickly he was forced to react, but he hoped to redirect it enough so that it didn’t end up going through his neck.

If he survived, he’d have gained a new appreciation(for lack of a better term) for any Mandalorians he might meet in the future. More than once they had proven themselves more than capable in combat, and that he could respect.

The fire only grazed Endyr, and though there was some satisfaction in getting him to drop the act for even just a second. However, Zaia would soon have something else to deal with as he came running at her on the ground this time. Not knowing what to expect since he wasn’t actively shooting, she would tense herself up to get ready to dodge whatever he might have under his sleeve when a blinding flash of light came along with a deafening bang.

The sudden bombardment of her senses caused her to fire three times blindly ahead of her, struggling to make out where Endyr was. In fact, she couldn’t see or hear him at all, but even through her disoriented state she still knew that he was somewhere close. She backed away from where she’d been standing, and when her sight began to return, she saw the light glinting off a vibroblade and realized what he was planning.

“You coward!” She blinked a few times, still trying to clear her vision as she struggled to focus on Endyr. “Fight me like a real Mandalorian!”

Endyr Ratheon
vs.
Zaia Krodas

Blindfire.
Rapid fire.
Three shots.
-POP!-POP!-POP!-

If a Mandalorian woman
Was anything less than
Her shots would have
Been atrociously bad.

However, Zaia Krodas
Is yet a skilled fighter.
Woman is a warrior.
Even if not aiming.

In PVP, this is what we call
An interruption. Stands tall.

Kinda sorta.
Intention remains the same.
Yet—as Ratheon charges
Zaia’s bolts do threaten him.
Of course, he shifts course.

He ends up running in a kind
Of zigzag to still take her life.
Though disoriented, this buys
Zaia some much needed time.

Endyr is still heading toward her.
Zigzagging in between bolts of 3.
Something Rickon shoulda done.
Run in a straight line? That di’kut.

Here we go again then.
Krodas got no sword?
The stupid kriffin’ bitch.
Though she is no whore.

Blade on blade combat is the intention.
I don’t see a sword in Zaia's description.
In Zaia Krodas’ character sheet, and yet
This is storytelling so we’ll just pretend.

Interruption so will also interject.
Endyr is afforded speech again.
“You coward!” Voice of power.
“Fight me like a real Mandalorian!”
“Real Mandos are SWORDSMEN!”
Also—of course—swordswomen.

Better pull that sword out then.
Endyr swings at her, right to left.
Blade horizontal toward her neck.
Dodge or block or will mean death.

This is of course all nonsense comparison.
Yet I reckon that Deucalians are like Vikings.
Of which, then, Mandalorians are like Spartans.
Again, matters little and less in A Game of Mandos.
Whether two, three or 300—yes—song is “To Victory”

Respect!
Is what she gets!
Mandos are disrespected!
Yet all that is to be expected!

For them to earn their place in this galaxy?
They will EARN their place in this galaxy!
A Mandalorian is kinda like an ironborn!
As in they don’t buy with the gold price!
Beskar is iron so they pay the iron price!
From Mandalore and in the door of war!
The Mandalorians will bleed unto victory!

The pair of Mandalorian and warrior.
Casany is not as elitist like Endyr is.
She knows her people are stronger.
But others aren’t so weak—as proven.

His hilt struck armor on her stomach.
He pushed forward as she pushed forward.
He would have succeeded in pushing her back.
Had his hilt stunned her and she not have attacked.

She had to kind of twist her torso to perform her move.
Which meant he had less of a solid object to push against.
Really don’t need to explain any of this next bit of nonsense.
Except I really just like to write and might just teach experience.

Her right leg is around his right leg.
Her right arm loops around his neck.
And Crux falls down onto the ground.
Tripped by opponent, lands on his back.

Her sword stabs—for his throat.
His blade bats hers aside though.
Saves his life, blade strikes stone.
-Clung!- Instead of hitting bone.

Vibration shoots up Casany’s arm.
Does not delay or slow her heart.
Just as soon she slams her boot.
Upon sword-arm to cause harm.

Whether right or left will determine which.
Based on his sword-hand, that hilt’s grip.
But will worry less about those positions.
Between rock, boot, an arm will be pinned.

Then…as fury overtakes our Casany…
Forged in fire…like a dragon breathing…
She wastes no time! Fire in her black eye!
In an instant, then, she swings sword again!

If Crux’s arm is pinned even for a split second!
If he loses the mobility of sword and can’t swing!
Her vibrosword will come singing like a bloody tune!
Like a knife through walnut pie and sever his arm in two!

Something something Mandalorian Spartan Deucalian Vikings.
Song is purposely repeated so once more is your "To Victory"

Having just barely knocked Casany’s sword to the side, there was little Crux could do to react when she placed a foot on his wrist. Somehow, he knew what she was going to do before he even saw the sword come down. His body turned cold and he braced himself, but nothing could have prepared him for the agony that followed.

The sound was what came first. A sickening, wet sound of flesh being torn, the swoosh and hum of the vibroblade as it cut through his right arm. The pain hit next, so suddenly and so strongly that it made his vision turn white and his hearing fade into nothing. If Casany hadn’t already knocked him off his feet, this certainly would have.

And through it all, he screamed, tossing and turning as if it would do something to help. He felt nothing but the pain as he attempted to push himself farther from Casany, kicking at the ground. He turned onto his stomach, and his vision cleared for a brief moment, but he could only see the bloody stump that was his shoulder and the arm that was his— his! still on the ground in front of that accursed woman. The sword was still in its grip, and the sight alone was enough to make him want to vomit. But looking up at the Mandalorian, he felt such rage that it gave him the strength to lift his head to stare into her visor.

“YOU TOOK IT FROM ME!” he shouted, trying desperately to reach his sword with his remaining arm. “I’LL KILL YOU!”

Crux wouldn’t be able to make it far before a sudden wave of lightheadedness hit, causing him to falter. He hadn’t realized it, but he’d already lost a good amount of blood. He wouldn’t be able to continue this fight any longer— in fact, staying conscious would be another battle in of itself. But for now, he could only feel the hatred he had for Casany Praxor.

Swordsmen? Zaia wanted to scoff. A real Mandalorian could fight even without a sword, without blasters. A real Mandalorian was, himself or herself, a weapon.

When Endyr’s sword came for her neck, Zaia’s vision had cleared enough for her to block. She raised her left gauntlet, letting the beskar absorb most of the impact. With the defense she’d placed herself close to him, and while her arm was blocking the sword she quickly moved the rest of her body right so that she would be facing his back.

The moment she was behind him she would attempt to grab the wrist of his sword arm and pull it back towards her, while unsheathing the hidden blade on her right gauntlet. If all went as planned Endyr would find it pressed against the front of his throat.

Endyr Ratheon

Zaia Krodas

Swordsmen.
Mandalorians.
They are a weapon.
A real Mandalorian.
Zaia passes yet again.
Impresses the Ratheon.
Think quick is the lesson.
Fight—just as is expected.

But...then again.
Never bring a knife
To a sword fight.

-CLING!-

His blade bites beskar!
Iron armor on her arm!
It's a success—a guard!
Left gauntlet; no harm!

Zaia Krodas is now moving toward him.
Her right—forward, to male Mandalorian.
Yet, sword-arm, sword-length—distance.
To move past his guard is no instant thing.

He has enough time to react.
His sword’s in his right hand.
She moves to get at his back.
To his left, forward and attack.

The distance isn’t that much.
When fighting, it is yet enough.
Zaia has proven herself so tough.
Blade, neck, time/space don’t budge.

So Endyr receives Zaia—coming at his left.
He has his blaster pistol still in his left hand.
His sword was warded off by his foe’s besk.
She steps close but his back she doesn’t get.

Before that event is another interruption.
That meant a failed attempt to grab his wrist.
Nonetheless, a blade does jut from her gauntlet.
To his throat just as he points gun beneath helmet.

This is what you call a stalemate.
A blade is at Endyr Ratheon’s neck.
A blaster is at Zaia Krodas' neck, no blade.
If one of them flinches it will spell only death.

Sword in Endyr’s right hand.
Pistol in Endyr’s left hand.
Knife on Zaia’s right vam.
Knife on Zaia’s left vam.

And eyes into eyes.
Man’s into woman’s.
And Man’s into Man’s.
Mando’s into Mando’s.
Black eye into black eye.

Now they’re up close 'n' everything.
A dragon’s fire—both are breathing.
A dragon is quite like the Mandalorian.
All of them—medley of House Targaryen.

“It’s your move then.”
Mando head tilt again.
“Flick the wrist?
Or pull the trig?”

Behind helm: breath.

“Question is…”
Lives for this.
Combat that is.
His people too.
“Can I shoot you
Before you can
Slide the hand?”

Fire.
And blood.
Higher.
Screams Crux.

And so goes the arm.
The blade took it off.
Wielder: a woman.
As if a Targaryen.

A woman is a warrior!
She is a Mandalorian!
Soldier of Mandalore!
Casany is the dragon!

Blood spurts from a shoulder.
Blinding pain, yes, it must burn.
Casany can imagine that wound.
Agony from a maw; a bloody tune.

“As I said before…”

CASANY PRAXOR!
She is the Mandalorian.
Pointing her sword at him.

“You brought this on yourself.”
Losing his vision and his health.
A red river pumps out of her foe.
Kill your enemy; learned long ago.

It is not really mercy she will choose.
She simply knows what it is like to lose.
“My enemies all try to kill me…Casany…
Praxor… You can sleep where you bleed.”

The wolf could fight and bite.
Had lost an arm and also a claw.
The dragon would yet spare him.
Wouldn’t silence a screaming maw.

“Alor!”
Calls over a commander.
For her captain of Unwavering.
With Clan Praxor’s banner waving.
“Ratheon brought his crew, just north!”

“Do not engage!”
He is mine to slay!
Looks away from her prey.
“Vod!” Over com. “On my way!”

And a Mandalorian takes off!
Has a sword and armor on!
Soon Ratheon will be gone!
House Targaryen is the song!

Zaia froze when she felt the barrel of the blaster against her neck, keeping her arm steady as she kept her blade against Endyr’s. The slightest motion would probably cause them both to end up dead, and she was sure that neither of them would like that turn of events.

“Is that even a question worth asking?” Despite the bluff, she didn’t move. Endyr had played his cards well, and he probably knew it. The sword and pistol in his hands made getting out of this position difficult. If only she hadn’t used up her flamethrower earlier, she thought with an inward sigh. She would’ve loved to see— or imagine, technically— the look on his face if she’d been able to use that again.

A voice came through her comms just then, and when Zaia heard someone else approach, she knew that the tables had suddenly turned.

Without breaking her gaze, she tilted her head like Endyr had done earlier. “You might want to rethink all this.”

A Mandalorian has tricks up his sleeves.
And that same man has cards on his arms.
Gadgets, Mando magic, on them vambraces.
More than shield or fire—those killing machines.

Yet, whether the blaster.
Yes, whether the dagger.
Whether the vambrace.
One move and death.
Either from a man.
Or from a woman.
Blade at neck.
Neck at gun.

“Is that question
Even worth asking?”

“This is a standoff.”
Visor is shrugging.
“Talkin’s all we got.”

Voice talks into comms.
A woman is at the door!

“You might want to rethink all this.”
“It's a Mando's gig, kid. I live for it.”

Moments ensue just before that
One woman’s voice comes at hand
As in not over comm but over there
At the rock; gold armor and red flare.

“Go ahead, Ratheon.”
Beckons that woman!
A rifle is aimed at him!
She stands at distance!
“Either way it’s your neck.”

Endyr steals a peripheral glance—to his left.
Doesn’t keep his eyes from Zaia’s own head.
Casany has a clear shot at Ratheon’s helmet.
Crap. Well that’s that. My odds are oddly less.

“I say you’re bluffing, Praxor, but nice try.
No, I don’t think you’d let your vod die.”

Maybe she might. A kinda sacrifice.
Endyr had—in the day, in the night.

“Pull that trigger and find out then.”
A woman’s voice is very confident.
“But I’m betting her hand is quicker.
So goes the throat for crow dinner.”

“Kill me...and out comes my team.
Black gold to clash against red gold.
I think it sounds kinda poetic—actually.
So you pull the trigger but I’ll still kill her.”

The odds were against him but not by much.
He could still kill Zaia and she’d be crow lunch.
There are gadgets on a vambrace beside a gun.
Mando can get out of this—and it has been fun.

“Drop the gun, Ratheon!”
So ya got Crux.
Blade is quick.
Gun is quicker.
You will BURN.
“Oh…I’ve already won.”

Mando has a blaster!
And also his sword hilt!
Of two women he will kill!
Your heads on a PLATTER.

Mando, he pulls the trigger!
At the neck of Cas’ sister!
From the blaster!
A shot goes off!

Here
There
Be

...Dragons...

The first—had been last.
A man had crossed paths.
With a woman who is Cas.
Her opponent was not bad.

Crux had been the first.
He had craved a thirst.
Of a woman—to burn.
When will men learn?

Casany is a woman!
No, she is more than!
Praxor’s Mandalorian!
Now are more of them!

Two Mandalorians.
Are three yet again.
Casany’s to their left.
Here for a man’s head.

Endyr and Zaia are
Locked in a standoff.
Gun-arm by knife-arm.
It’s a Mandalorian song.

"Dracarys"
Fire it means.
Another thing.
Yet to be seen.

For now—a crown.
That’s to say a head.
Casany wants Endyr’s.
While Endyr wants hers.

He killed her mother.
She killed his father.
Or so they both said.
Truth to come—yet.

“Go ahead, Ratheon.”
She would tempt him.
“Either way it’s your neck.”
Would he open his weapon?

Endyr Ratheon was a violent man.
He was a pirate if yet a Mandalorian.
Casany is too—had been cruel before.
Zaia is worth more and yet…This is war.

Praxor stands with a rifle in her hands.
Endyr’s pistol beneath Zaia’s helmet.
Zaia’s knife is placed at Endyr’s neck.
Casany will plug a bolt into his head.

Could she breathe fire before he would?
She wasn’t sure if he would call her bluff.
She won’t let him kill her vod with his gun.
Just to kill him. She has a helmet, no hood.

Mandalorians don’t fight as assassins or spies!
Honor in vengeance! Zaia’s more than an ally!
“I say you’re bluffing, Praxor, but nice try.
No, I don’t think you’d let your vod die.”

“Pull that trigger and find out then.”
Then again, he just might do it yet.
“But I’m betting her hand is quicker.”
Zaia could slide hand like she fights.
“So goes the throat for crow dinner.”

“Kill me...and out comes my team.
Black gold to clash against red gold.
I think it sounds kinda poetic—actually.
So you pull the trigger but I’ll still kill her.”

Just like when Zaia and Cas took back
The Unwavering in the ocean’s expanse.
Krodas reminded Cas of why they fight.
For oneself, for one another, day and night!

“Drop the gun, Ratheon!”
Fire in her blood!
And he can’t run!
She’s a weapon!
He’s had his fun!
“Oh…I’ve already won.”

And a shot!
It goes off!
No -POP!-
-FWOM!-

Casany fires her rifle.
Beside Endyr’s pistol.
He shoots—at Krodas.
And gets shot—by Cas.

Just as…something happens.
Remember back to that track?
“Dracarys”—is of ‘fire’ definition.
One word of two: beside ‘dragon’.

What happens next?
As bolts fly for heads?
Better hold their breath!
It's just A Song of Fire then!

And ground—quakes!
Endyr and Cas shake!
Zaia and Endyr break!
The mountain wakes!

-BOOOOOOOOM!!-
-KRA!-KOOOOM!!!-

Rock shatters!
Beside blasters!
Endyr’s thrown back!
Zaia too—also our Cas!

That means two shots miss!
A shot from her and from him!
Also means Zaia’s knife slashes
Thin air—by a neck, yes, it passes.

Casany reacts to being thrown back
By breathing fire from her own jetpack.
It stabilizes her just as stones are thrown.
From the impact of rock breaking like bone.

That mountain wall has split like a fault.
Chunks, desert brown are tossed around.
Jagged edges, splintered shards, or round.
Boulders—beside pebbles—O how they fall.

Casany kicks her feet!
Flying up and away!
Burning heartbeat!
At wings so grey!

Emerging from a cave!
That which a hole made!
Within mountain’s bosom!
Is the face...of...a…DRAGON!
b40c0dbd1442074c677fd08417fb7bdb02cf962f.gifv
The beast bellowed with rage.
A voice booms like the thunder.
Even in helm, ears are ablaze.
A dragon’s shout—is a wonder!

Here There Be Dragons!
Hear this dragon roar!
Not Hear Us Roar!
It isn’t Balerion!

This is Vhagar!
A she-dragon!
Of great arms!
Like a...kraken!

A dragon flier!
Climbs higher!
Burn brighter!
O Dragonfire!

DRACARYS!
Cas ain’t Daenerys!
She’s a Mandalorian!
She’s not a Targaryen!

A Mandalorian
Has a flamethrower!
But that dragon
Is a flame-thrower!

A river of flame sprays from the maw!
Fury fuming, spewing forth in a bright jet!
Scorching the wind between hands’ claws!
Clutching the dark doorway lit by fire’s breath!

The dragon’s lair and nest was cracked open!
As quickly as fire lashes toward Casany’s chest!
Her own inferno blasts jetpack—dodges to her left!
Upon Zaia, upon Endyr—the dragon swings its head!

Kind of like this dragon
Of House of the Dragon.
A more terrifying version than
That Death Watch Mandalorian.

Can burn them,

To a crisp or worse
Maybe a burnt Dorito.

With the arrival of Casany, Zaia felt much better about her chances. However, the blaster barrel that pressed harder yet against her neck was another stark reminder of the predicament she still found herself in. She held her breath as Cas and Endyr exchanged words, and when the blasters finally went off, she instinctively slashed at his neck and braced for the pain that was sure to follow.

Only there was none, and she felt herself being thrown back onto the ground as the blaster bolts flew wide into the air and her blade missed its target. Dank farrik! Clambering to her feet, she looked around with narrowed eyes as to what was either an extraordinary stroke of luck or something else entirely.

It turned out, maybe it was a mixture of both.

A dragon loomed over the three Mandalorians, sending a blast of fire at Cas first before it turned to her and Endyr. Glancing at him, her hand immediately went over to the button that would activate her jetpack.

“Kill each other later?”
she yelled over to him before another spray of fire came in her direction. Just then, she would propel herself out of the way and into the sky near Casany before she was incinerated. As for Endyr, if he didn’t get out… that was too bad. Almost as if making sure, it would swipe its tail once before sending yet another burst of flames in his direction at the same time as it began to move forward.

DANK
FERRIK!

A Man and
The dragon!

As the mountain’s wall,
That sheet of rock so tall,
Began to crack so asunder,
The Man felt another thunder.

Ya kiddin!? A DRAGON!?
Isn’t supposed to happen!
This isn’t why I named this roleplay
“Here There Be Dragons” I do O so say.
But it’s what happens of stories organic!
When ya wing it, so blows roleplay magic!

Either way, Endyr flies away.
Like his counterpart, he ignites
His jetpack, braces arms, he flies.
As a misplaced stone strikes a thigh.

He had armor on it.
His thighs are plated.
But it’s that dragonplate
Where Endry cast a gaze.

“Kill each other later?”
“Sure. I can’t yet burn
Till I slay you and her.”

The scales looked tough
As beskar and then some.
But Ratheon ain’t one to wait.
Fire comes rushing at his face.

A Mandalorian—bolts aside
While wild fire trails his tail.
He opens fire from his twin
Guns and right at a dragon.

It rushes forward at him.
His bolts barely make dents.
Dragon runs for a Mandalorian.
It is breathing flames for his chest.

“COME ON THEN!”
Endyr shoots both guns.
Controls jetpack with helmet.
Wonders of having a visor’s HUD.

As a river of fire scorches into the wind
Endyr suddenly bursts up into the air.
He launches himself above the fire
And curls forward, if flying higher.

He faces the dragon’s back!
Mando dives for the attack!
He passes behind a head!
Above the dragon breath!

A Mandalorian is like a ballerina!
Within the air—twirls downward!
It’s like—Game of Thrones arena!
Ratheon is thus lunging forward!

Either pistol firing at a wing each!
Dragon gives an annoyed shriek!
Tail swipes him toward the earth!
Not before sing O whistling birds!

Tiny explosives—from a vambrace!
Closing in instants at that dragon!
Singing Mando’s tune—for death!
Exploding at back of dragon-head!

And that dragon cranes its neck!
It’s roaring into the wind, oh yes!
Some of those birds miss it then!
The top of its skull did not crack!
Gonna need another new attack!

Meanwhile Endyr soars to his left.
The dragon’s tail was a cruel thing.
But fortunately all of them are flying.
Metaphorically—he finds footing then.

The dragon has a few new holes in
Its wings but they don’t slow it really.
It turns its attention to enemies with
White blue—red gold—O black wings.

Mandalorian visors in the form of the “T”.
The dragon soars toward them—hungry!
Allows the Mandalorian to call in comlink.
To his men and women of the Iron Head.

“Get the karkin’ corvette prepped, dank ferrik!
Gettin’ attacked by a mother kriffin’ DRAGON!”

So changes the font.
Of Casany's dialogue.
Orange suits Mandalorian.
Mainly for...Mando faction?
Casany is yet Independent.
And red is Casany's element.
Just as Ratheon's is black then.
But black is hard to read I think.
Endyr's dialogue is gold instead.
Of gold could Casany's also yet be.
But of contrast between 'em I seek.
What does all this rambling mean?
Of sudden change in font explaining.

“Ready my ship!”
In comlink, speaking.
“We’re facing a dragon!”
So readies the Unwavering.

Three Mandalorians.
Versus the one dragon.
Mandalorians are warriors.
Dragons like this shall burn!

Unfortunately
That means
Literally and
Metaphorically.

As Casany would make her enemy bleed
But her enemy is the inferno in the sea.
Different kinds of dragons in a galaxy.
Old and powerful, one proves to be.

At a safe distance or at least relatively,
Casany watches as the dragon’s shifting
Its attention upon that man—Endyr Ratheon.
This affords her a few short moments to study.

Know your enemy.
Was any warrior’s creed.
Behind her helm’s black eyes
That familiar HUD does analyze.

In an instant
The dragon’s
Size
Height
Flight
Bright
Firelight
Tough hide
Such might!

Perhaps an evolution
Had in turn given
Power to dragon
Useless information.

Mandalorian is a weapon!
Praxor finds an opening!
The dragon is burning!
Fire toward Ratheon!
“COME ON THEN!”
MANDALORIANS.
THREE OF THEM.
She shall kill him later!
For now, dragon-slayer!
Casany Praxor is greater!
Mandalore has made her!

Endyr dodges the maw
And the flame so strong.
He propels himself above
The dragon and its tongue.

Endyr—he's a brave man!
Or just a karking idiot!
So soars that Ratheon!
Toward dragon recipient!

Casany hears the birds.
They whistle, no words.
Fire quakes on its skin.
It is tough on a dragon.

The ancient beast’s tail
Whips Endyr away and
As it then begins to wail
From a Mando’s attack.

The explosion on its skull
Surely did some damage
But it isn’t enough to total
A Team Mando advantage.

Upon the two women
Is a dragon’s attention.
“OH SO YOU LIKE FIRE!?
I WAS FORGED IN FIRE!”

Rifle sling over back!
Casany fires jetpack!
Her sword in a hand!
Woman, also a Man!

She recalls the data
Her visor gave her.
It rhymes if British.
“Her”, “data”—kinda.

Moving on.
Moving along.
The dragon came.
Out of lair and cave.

Since then—Casany had
Noticed that the dragon
Seemed to keep its back
And chest between belly.

Meaning that it must be
Of a softer skin beneath.
Which is naturally hiding
From things like Casany.

So it is Clan Praxor then!
Woman at the door again!
She mimicks Endyr Ratheon!
Not up, soars beneath dragon!

Just as an inferno flies in her direction!
Upon Zaia Krodas’ too, Casany’s vod!
Jetpack carries Casany beneath fire!
She twirls, for a dancer is a fighter!

Instead of facing the ground,
Casany is facing the sky now.
Specifically, she faces the belly.
Of a dragon—belly of the beast.

Casany Praxor!
O how she soars!
Both hands on sword!
Drag blade, dragon roar!

The beast’s hide is thick!
But a blade penetrates it!
It is not really all that much!
Certainly it does draw blood!

Now that dragon is driving
In a rage—toward Krodas.
While Casany was flying
She’s gripped; grasped.

Three toes are massive!
Such claws on a dragon!
Casany is within its talon!
A back visor so impassive!

“Dank ferrik.”
Into comlink.
Listening is Krodas.
To her own vod—Cas.
“I am in a bit of a bind!”

Endyr’s whistling birds whistled through the air— some striking the dragon and some missing their mark. Like Casany, she would stay to watch for a moment. Its power was admirable, and Zaia wondered if the mythosaurs from the legends were at all like creatures like this. Of course, this dragon wasn’t comparable to the conquests of the old Mandalorians, but either way it was nice to think about.

She followed Casany with a push of her jetpack as her vod went for the belly of the beast. Zaia would try to keep its attention on her— or better yet, Endyr— but it ignored her when it grabbed Cas. Only after did its head turn to her direction and send another jet of flame at her, and she was forced to fly to the side to avoid it. As she did, her eyes never left Cas, gripped in the dragon’s claws as it flew down at her.

“Hold on, Cas!” As the beast went down, the Mandalorian would fly up, firing two shots at the dragon’s wings. Behind her she could hear the roar of two corvettes’ engines, yet they were still not as loud as the dragon’s roar as it dove at her. It opened its mouth as if to swallow her, but Zaia would bank right at the last second to grab onto some appendage on its back. If not for her years of combat training, she was sure that she would have gotten thrown off as the creature began to thrash, trying to throw her off as it twisted in the air. Its tail lashed and it reached up with its claws, trying to grab her as it swiped. That caused it to let go of Casany, though Zaia wouldn’t know it just yet as she attempted to fire at the dragon’s scales. The shot bounced off, but it did succeed in making it even angrier. It reared its head up, exposing its stomach as it tried to snap its jaws at her.

“Someone— get— the stomach!” she yelled as she clung on desperately with one hand.

Endyr’s vods called back.
On the com to their Cap.
Iron Head would take to air.
Meanwhile, a dragon’s flare.

The beast roars as before.
From his distance,
Ratheon admires it.
The sky is a dragon’s floor.

A dragon’s breath!
Is yet a dragonfire!
From its gullet!
Flaming spire!

A sea of flames soars toward
Those other two Mandalorians.
The clouds crack in a volcano
Of a cry—rumbling in the bone.

But Mando’s not turned to stone!
He’s not petrified or so terrified!
Dragon’s forward—he is behind!
That Mandalorian—watch him go!

He spots Cas in the dragon’s grasp.
As another flame jets out its mouth.
A river of suns, their fury—as one.
Ratheon, no Targaryen, but a son.

I AM THE SON OF RATHEON.

Endyr, a man, the Mandalorian!
Flying, soaring toward a dragon!
Arms—like wings—black, not red!

No pistols, Mando’s hands are empty!
Behind him, his Iron Head is also flying!
And in his right hand he takes his sword!
A blade of wrath in the sky for Mandalore!

“I AM THE SON OF RATHEON!”
“Someone— get— the stomach!”
And Endyr flies down from above it!
Above the dragon’s skull, he flies in!

“AND OURS IS THE WRATH!”
Warrior’s sword is in his grasp!
Blasting beneath teeth—jetpack!
Scales beneath chin of the dragon!

Then comes that fleshy skin!
Of a sword, Ratheon whips!
The dragon screams breath!
As steel rips beneath a chest!

A Mandalorian will slay a dragon!
This will be that dragon’s death!
For daring to duel the Ratheon!
He carves one half—of an “X”.

“Kriffin’ dragon!”
Cas is stuck.
Can’t budge.
Or do much.
Think, woman!

Whether a dragon,
Cas has a vambrace.
It has shield emitters!
And it has wrist lasers!

Below, Casany glimpses as
A dragon just then begins
To dive toward Zaia Krodas.
As that dragon’s skin is bit.

Lasers become more than nuisance.
As another attacker then swoops in.
Zaia Krodas further ensures that the
Dragon opens its claw, releases her.

Casany, the phoenix, once again free!
Casany Praxor, so too is of Mandalore!
A phoenix, yes, but Casany isn’t Stannis!
Of fire I am forged! A dragon I shall banish!

She dropped her blaster!
But that didn’t really matter!
A Mandalorian has a sword again!
The Mandalorian, yes, she’s a woman!

A tail swoops behind the warrior!
But a dragon’s belly is right by her!
Hilt in hand, blade will reach further!
Into dragon—just as she spies Endyr!

He flies in from the other side!
From the dragon’s head, his left!
Meanwhile, Casany is at the back!
The red warrior is toward the right!

I killed your father?
Glimpses a daughter.
Red gold Mandalorian.
Gazing at that Ratheon.
To “Blood of the Dragon”.

I am the daughter of PRAXOR!
To a woman, a sky is a floor!
“I am the daughter of PRAXOR!”
Across flesh, a sword soars!

Sun overhead, getting brighter!
Endyr goes low, she’s higher!
The dragon has dragonfire!?
“I WAS FORGED IN FIRE!”

A Mandalorian will slay a dragon!
And a dragon will lose this war!
For daring to duel the Praxor!
She carves one half of an “X”.

She cuts diagonally upward
And from her right to her left.
He cuts diagonally downward
And from his left to his right.

Two Mandalorians meet then.
Center—her—gold—and red.
Him—man—gold—and black.
In a sense, more than a Man.

And time stands still!
O black visors can kill!
Man—woman—to die!
Mandalorian eye to eye!

Their swords cleave through
The flesh and blood of a dragon.
Each warrior is one so proven true.
Swords trail for each other, Mandalorian.

Neither warrior lifts sword for him or for her.
Their jetpacks blaze on—as they cross paths.
The blades exit flesh at the tail or at the neck.
The Mandalorians have just cross-slashed ‘X’.

That dragon is exploding agony from its throat!
With Zaia just in front of the maw of fire breath.
At its belly, Casany can feel the light and heat.
Not blood, Zaia would see a furnace glow next.

“CAST IT!
INTO
THE FIRE!"

“DESTROY IT!"
THEY TELL ZAIA.

When Zaia felt the dragon buckle beneath her as Casany and Endyr ripped their swords through its belly, she knew that now was the time to let go. She let the force of it propel her backwards, activating her jetpack as soon as the momentum began to fade.

She heard the others yelling at her, telling her to finish it. But as she flew over to its front, she had to appreciate its strength one more time. Any good opponent deserved some respect, and this dragon had more than proven itself a capable opponent. That moment lasted less than a second before she finally drew her two vibroblades and rushed forward.

The blades would make contact with the exposed throat of the creature. Like the wounds it had received on its stomach, Zaia would cross her daggers to make an X. Slicing outwards, she would see the glow of fire within as arteries were sliced open along with its skin. The cracks grew brighter for a moment, before the dragon exhaled a small burst of flame and its wings faltered. The moment it started to plummet down towards the ground, Zaia would pull her daggers out and fly backwards, keeping an eye out for Casany and Endyr as they would probably be finding their way out too.

She had to admit— Endyr was a good fighter. Even if he was a Ratheon.
