Kaedan ran through the forest swiftly. He was excited; of course he was. There was some news that he would be meeting some people and starting a new journey of his life. He had heard tales of the Jedi and what they stood for. He, along with his parents, had also discovered that he was force sensitive. After many conversations, his parents had decided it was probably best that he be trained by people equipped for that. He was already a good shot and pretty skilled with a melee weapon thanks to the slight training he had received from his parents.
His mother being a former bounty hunter had tons of gear at her disposal and many skills to go with it. It was probably why she started training her son to use a blaster at 4 years old. Now two years later, he could hit many targets. With the discovery of him being force sensitive, both parents speculated that the force was also a tool that assisted him with his shooting. His physical training started with his father teaching him, using the military training he once learned to prepare his son. That eventually extended to both parents including melee weapon training.
Kaedan arrived at the house to see his parents speaking with people who were dressed in robes. These Jedi were ready to take him in to begin his Jedi training. That was the reason they were here. What the 6 year old Kaedan didn't know was that would be the last time he physically saw his parents for a while. He rushed off to grab a few things to put in the satchel his mother provided him with. With a holo-communicator packed as well, the boy left Rion and his parents behind and started his journey as a Jedi Initiate.
Kaedan woke up from seeing that memory. It was strange. He hadn't dreamt of the past like that before. Maybe it was because he and his master Ashen were set to go to Rion. It had been a month since they had began their journey as master and apprentice. The boy had made the request to go home to see his folks and Ashen agreed. He was beyond excited and now they were going. He boarded the Atlatl-class Starhopper and sat in the passenger seat. "Off to Rion we go."
After the Starhopper arrived on the planet, Kaedan looked out of the ship at the arrival hangar. It looked just like the hangar he departed Rion save for some technological upgrades. The young padawan walked off the ship and stretched. They would have to go through customs and other checks before being able to go anywhere on the planet. He slowly walked out the hangar and to the area where they would have to go through customs. Luckily, they weren't traveling heavy so that in itself should make the process quicker. There weren't that many lines of people like one would find on a capital planet. The few people before the Jedi duo moved through the scanners and then was logged by the droid who was working.
When Kaedan got to the front, he took his lightsaber off and placed it in his satchel and walked through the scanners. Once he had been through, he pulled his satchel with the force towards him. He opened the satchel and the droid scanned the contents of it. "Welcome to Rion, we hope you enjoy your stay." Kaedan nodded and walked forward, waiting for his master to walk through and be scanned as well.
