The Diplomat Hotel, a decently guarded place, more so when certain guests are arrived, but today was not one of those few days. Nima stood a block away from the entrance with Ine, observing the area. "Take this" Nima said as she handed Ine a small personal comlink. "Use this to let me know what's going on. Everything you do is up to you."

A few hints wouldn't hurt that much. "Some advice for you, don't go through the front thinking they will just let you in. Also, each room door requires its own keycard to unlock, and it will probably set off an alarm if broken." Nima turned to look towards Ine, thinking that this task might be too difficult. However Nima couldn't just let this girl jump into combat, and there weren't many other tasks to give to the girl. Nima turned back around to observe the massive hotel once more, and had an idea. "Look right there," she said while pointing half way up the skyscraper, "it's a lift with a worker. If you can get on it and do something about the worker, you could probably use the lift to get up to the roof and enter through there. Room 287 is on the opposite side of the building, so you won't be able to enter through the window with the lift."

Nima also handed the girl a small bag "Place the crystal in here, it's somewhat fragile." With that everything was set, Nima turned around to look at Ine once more "Good luck." She would then turn around and walk off somewhere before Ine could respond. Nima would watch from a distance, and check in with Ine every so often.

[Ine Cytra]

Ine was in shock at how tall the building was, she didn't recall seeing it that big before. She listened to Nima's words and slowly but surely started wishing she didn't agree to this. Guards, alarms, and on the second-highest level "Worst that could happen is that I get sent to prison for the rest of my life". Ine held both the comlink and the bag in her hand, placing both in her pockets. She looked back up to the hotel, and decided to try out Nima's plan; she didn't have any other ideas of her own.

Making her way to the hotel, Ine tried to figure out how exactly she could get to the lift; it was closer to the ground than it was the roof, but it was still high up. She maneuvered her way to the side of the hotel instead of the front, being right below the lift. "Well, I guess I could try it...". Ine bent down like she was preparing to jump and called to the force to aid her. "Please please please don't jump short of it and fall and die" she mumbled to herself.

With her eyes closed, Ine jumped as high as she could with the aid of the force. As she was in the air, she opened her eyes and quickly reached out to grab the ledge of the lift; the worker would be a little shocked. Ine quickly climbed up and wasn't sure what to do with the work so she used the force to just slam him into the railing of the lift. Her heart was racing, and she turned to look over the railing "What the...". She had jumped almost 40 feet in the air.

After gaining her composure, Ine activated the lift to head up towards the roof; it seems the worker was knocked out for now. Ine then pulled out her comlink to inform Nima, "Going to the roof right now, then I'll figure out how to get into the room."

Once she was up on the roof, Ine looked for an entrance to the hotel. There was a hatch, but it seemed to be locked, with a keycard needed. "Perfect!" Ine exclaimed. She went back to the worker's unconscious body and searched his body for a keycard. Luckily he had one, and Ine figured out the rest of her plan. "Alright we'll test and see if this keycard works on room 287, and if not then it should work on a door that might contain the keycard for the room"

Entering the hotel, Ine then looked for the nearest elevator to go to the floor that had room 287. Luckily the hallways were empty and she made her way to the elevator doors. The buttons were labeled as such: "Lobby, 100-199, 200-299..." and they continued up to a thousand. Ine hit the button to go to the 200-299 level.

[Vaen Kesselle]

A stay at the Diplomat Hotel, especially on the upper levels. The rooms could be adjusted to different atmospheres to meet preferences and had all sorts of automatic features. "It's nice to be rich" Vaen thought. She still had access to her parent's wealth, which is one luxury Vaen had compared to other Jedi.

Vaen's little vacation was going perfect until she could sense someone using the force, with what felt like nervousness behind its use. She could also hear what sounded like a lift, though it was too dark for her to see out the windows of her room. Vaen quickly threw on her clothes and walked out of the room.

The hallways were empty, "Maybe it was nothing" she thought until she turned the corner. Vaen noticed a young red-haired girl enter an elevator "She looks too young to be here.." The elevator doors were about to close, so to catch up Vaen used the force to quickly dash.

Making it in just the nick of time, Vaen used her hands to stop the elevator doors from closing. The doors would automatically open back up after detecting something blocking it, and Vaen stepped. "Excuse me, I hope you're not in a hurry." Vaen's tone was slightly cynical, and she looked at the buttons on the side. "Oh lucky us, we are heading toward the same floor," Vaen flashed a warm smile towards the young girl, and she turned around in the elevator as the doors closed.


Although her back was turned toward the girl, Vaen's concentration was on another level. From what she had briefly seen, the girl was in her teens, but she had some level of elegance to her, "Maybe she comes from wealth as well.." Vaen turned her head to get a glance at the girl again, and the red of her hair felt familiar. Vaen couldn't help but feel like she has seen hair the exact same color, but it could be a coincidence. "I like your hair color, is it dyed?"

[Ine Cytra]

When it seemed like everything was going great, it all crashed so quickly. Ine almost wished that the elevator would just crash as her heart sank seeing a girl stopping the elevator, wearing some sort of robes. "Red clothes and yellow eyes. A sith....."

Ine also felt somewhat terrified of the girl's figure as well. The stranger was taller, older, and her overall appearance was stunning. Too nervous to say anything, Ine simply nodded her head as the girl stepped in and spoke. "Just mind your business, and maybe she'll leave you alone."

Ine's heart started racing once the stranger had turned her head to look at her. It was silent for a few seconds, and Ine was on the verge of peeing herself. She would try her best to appear normal and would hold her breath a bit, but a small sweat would start to build up "Please stop please stop please stop please stop"

The stranger broke the silence, and now Ine was forced to put on her best acting performance. Ine let out a short cough before responding to the girl, "U-um no this is my natural hair color. It runs through my family." Ine would try her best to give a smile, but maybe the nervousness helped. It gave Ine the appearance of a young shy girl. She was still very nervous, but having a conversation to focus on actually made her relax slightly. She looked up to see what level they were on, and they still had a bit to go before they stopped. "What if she follows me? I need to contact Nima."

[Vaen Kesselle]

Vaen could tell the girl was nervous, and she was rather confident that this girl was the one she sensed earlier. However, Vaen didn't sense the dark side in the girl, and she didn't recognize the girl as a Jedi either. "Now what could a sweet little girl like you be up to..."

Vaen became more suspicious once she realized what family the girl is from. The Cytra family from Naboo was another wealthy family, though not as wealthy as Vaen's. In fact, Vaen recalled hearing about a girl from the Cytra family going missing, "So it's you."

For now, Vaen wouldn't press the girl too much, but she thought it would be best to make fun of the situation. Vaen couldn't help but smirk, as she turned her head back to the front. "I love staying at this place whenever I get the chance to. You staying on the two-hundred's levels?" It was a trick question to try and catch the girl off guard. Vaen could have made it harder by asking the girl where she was going, but that would be too direct. The girl was obviously up to trouble based on how nervous she was, but Vaen couldn't tell precisely what trouble she was up to. There didn't seem to be anything special about the girl, "Well she is on the run, maybe she just wants a nice play to stay."

[Ine Cytra]

"Y-" Ine quickly stopped herself from answering the question, something seemed wrong. The lady was too suspicious and exuded danger. Ine would take a second to reconsider her answer, "No. A friend of mine is staying there, just wanting to check up on them ya know?" Ine didn't felt somewhat satisfied with the response she gave, considering it was somewhat true. She was going to check up on a room of a person staying there, they just weren't a friend.

The elevator slowly came to a stop, "Thank goodness..." Now Ine wouldn't be trapped in a confined space, but who knows if the lady would spy on her. "I'll just got to the room and test the card, if she follows me I can just pretend that the keycard is messed up." Once the doors opened, Ine would attempt to step out first unless interrupted.

[Vaen Kesselle]

"So cute." Vaen thought watching how nervous the girl was. She was still curious to see what the girl was up to specifically. The friend excuse was lousy, if they were friends why wouldn't they stay in the same room or at least on the same floor.

Vaen was about to respond until she felt the elevator slowing down, her little smirk faded. She let the red-haired girl step out first, following right after. "What a nice little chat, would you agree Ms. Cytra?" Vaen would give a warm smile before continuing "Stay out of trouble ok?"

Vaen would turn around and make her way down the hallway before turning around a corner. Hopefully, the girl would heed her advice, but for now there was no reason for Vaen to intervene. It would be more fun to see the girl's reaction once she was caught instead of being stopped beforehand.

[Ine Cytra]

Ine was at a loss for words "How does she know my name?!" Fear filled every inch of her body, Ine could only watch as the lady walked away. "She's dangerous..." Ine was sure that the stranger knew something was wrong, but for some reason chose to ignore it.

As Ine turned around to walk the other way it clicked in her mind, "That lady is from Naboo!" That was the only explanation for how the woman knew. The questions about the hair color had to be the reason why, but Ine had no idea who the woman could be. She seemed a good few years older than Ine, but was also a guest at this fancy hotel. Ine assumed the girl had to be from wealth too, but she didn't know that many other families.

Reaching the end of the hallway, Ine turned around her own corner and pulled out her comlink. "Nima, there's a dangerous woman here. She has a similar appearance to a sith from what was taught at the Jedi temple." She put the comlink away and quickly made her way to room 287.

"Room 287.." Ine pulled out the keycard she took from the worker and tried unlocking the door; it was a success She quickly entered and closed the door behind her. "Whoa." The interior of the room was magnificent. Ine walked through the room looking around, before regaining her composure.

"If I was a ruby where would I be?" She dug around the room and eventually found the ruby in a drawer. Ine placed the ruby in the pouch given to her and started to make her way out of the room. She pulls out her comlink to contact Nima again "I got the ruby, heading to the roof right now."

Nima was a bit shocked to hear what Ine had to say. She never faced a sith, but from what she knows they are more fearsome opponents than Jedi. It was a bit difficult to keep up with Jedi Knights sometimes, so Nima couldn't imagine the dangers of a Sith. However, she would make her way to the roof of the hotel to meet up with Ine.

Jumping from building to building, Nima pulled out her comlink to respond after Ine retrieved the crystal "I'm coming to the roof. We will meet there". To reach the lift, Nima jumped from a nearby building and caught the ledge. She pulled herself up and noticed the unconscious man, "Didn't know she would do it." The girl had more grit to her than Nima predicted, but she still felt uneasy about the Sith. Sith were not the most welcomed people in the galaxy, based on what Nima knows, so if Ine saw one that has to mean the guards would have noticed it too. Nima set the thought aside, believing Ine was too nervous to think correctly.

[Ine Cytra]

It was time to get out of the hotel as fast as possible. She tried to move as fast as possible but she could already feel herself getting tired, and could only manage a somewhat fast-paced walk. "Come on, just a bit more..." Going on a mission after walking around for almost a full day was not a great idea, but now Ine had an idea of what she was capable of doing so far.

Getting into the elevator and pressing the button for the highest floor, Ine took a moment to wipe the sweat off of her face. The encounter in the elevator was enough for Ine to just pass out, but she held out.

The elevator finally reached the top floor from what felt like hours. Ine stepped out and made her way to the ladder hatch that led to the roof. She climbed up and was greeted by the sight of Nima. "Alright lets get out of here." Her breathing was heavy and her words spaced out from fatigue.

[Vaen Kesselle]

After she had turned the corner, Vaen made her way to the security room. The guards were hesitant at first, but after confirming Vaen as a Jedi they let her pass. "So that's what you were up to." Vaen smiled watching the red hair girl steal the ruby through the camera system. Vaen looked at the guards, "I'll go catch up to little Ms. Cytra, you guys inform the rangers."

Vaen moved as fast as she could, but the moment she turned the corner the elevator had just closed. "Dammit, stairs it is then." She would quickly make her way to the stairs and make her way up, but Vaen paused halfway. "Wait... the lift!"

She was already on level 800, so she entered the hallway and made her way to the side of the hotel the lift was on. "Don't be wrong instincts", she kicked down one of the room doors and ignited her saber. She waited for the lift to come down to intercept it.

Ine actually succeeded with her task, Nima was slightly surprised, but she still had to give some hints to the girl. A deal was a deal though, and now Nima would have to let Ine be her coworker.

Nima made her way back to the lift, "Cmon." she said. Nima stepped onto the lift and waited for Ine to get on, but she still felt bothered. "You said you saw a Sith. Are you sure?" Force users were generally trouble, and that included Nima as well. From what she knows, a Sith would be even more trouble, but everything seemed alright. Once the two reached the bottom, they would just make their way back to the lower levels.

"Wow not even a good job?" Ine teased Nima, although she still felt exhausted. She stood up from the hatch entirely and followed after Nima. "Yeah, I'm sure of it. Red outfit and her eyes were yellowish." Ine paused for a moment remembering how nervous she was in the elevator "It matched what the Jedi taught me.

Ine took a moment to climb over the guard railing of the lift, "I just want to sleep already." She reached towards the control panel and pulled a lever to bring the lift down. Ine pulled out the fire ruby to show to Nima "Well here it is, pretty neat looking" She dropped the ruby back into the pouch, which she then put back in her pockets. "So what's next, partner" Ine winked at her now literal partner-in-crime.

Vaen could hear the lift starting up, "Perfect." She stared at the glass walls at the other end of the room, waiting for the lift to be in sight.

Deep breaths were essential to concentrating. Vaen focused her mind, ready to use the force to create a burst of speed to launch herself out of the window. She maintained a ready stance as well and she had her lightsaber ready to attack, though she didn't plan on killing the girl.

Once the bottom of the lift was visible, Vaen took one last deep breath and burst through the room and the window. The girl with the red hair was right in front of her, and Vaen would bring her saber down on to the girl while using her other hand to grab onto the guard railing of the lift.

Nima wasn't sure how much she should believe Ine, but she did earn a little bit of respect. Fortunately it seemed like the Sith wouldn't be causing problems any time soon, if there even was a sith. "Has to be a normal person. Ine should have sensed the dark side..." Nima thought.

The gem Ine pulled out was exactly what they needed, the fire ruby. It was a beautiful gemstone, and Nima would get a good sum of credits for the client. "We'll go see th-" all of a sudden the windows next to them bursted, and the glow of a bright blue lightsaber filled Nima's eyes. Nima quickly ignited her lightsaber and shoved Ine out of the way. She was able to block the attack just in time, but Nima's footing was awkward on the narrow lift.

Nima turned her head slightly to look at Ine, "Jump to the next building!" Nima wouldn't be able to fight while having to protect Ine, and she barely had time to think of anything else. The best solution at the moment was for Ine to get as far as possible.

Everything was in slow-motion. Ine's life flashed before her eyes as she turned to see the same woman as before preparing to strike her down. Then in an instant time went back to normal as she was shoved into the side railing. A sharp pain shot through her body, and then adrenaline started pumping.

Ine blinked a few times to the sight of two blades being locked together, and without hesitation followed Nima's commands. Behind her was the rooftop of another building, and Ine used the force to make to jump. The landing was rough, Ine tumbled across the rooftop, but the adrenaline numbed the pain.

Scrambling to her feet, Ine looked back up to the lift to witness the fight that would occur. She wasn't sure what to do or where to go, Ine was scared. After a few seconds Ine noticed the blue lightsaber, the woman was a Jedi. "A Jedi? Oh no no no no I could be labeled a criminal for the rest of my life!"

In front of her now was a pink girl with a purple saber "Another one?" Vaen wasn't ready for someone else to block the attack, so she was surprised a little bit. The girl was pretty quick, but it seems she had too much to handle. When the pink girl had her head slightly turned, Vaen used the opportunity to throw an uppercut at the girl's stomach.

In the corner of her eye, she noticed the red-haired girl jump off to the next building. "Dammit. She's the one with the gem. Gotta get past pinkie here."

A gasp was let out as she was hit in the stomach; Nima felt like she was about to throw up from the hit. She quickly backed up to regain her footing, and tried to refocus. Ine was out of the way, so now Nima only had to worry about her opponent.

Nima noticed that the girl let go of the railing to throw the punch, so she trusted her lightsaber directly to the girl's chest. Neither of the opponent's hands was on the railing, so it was the perfect moment to counter-attack.

The pink girl was pretty good, but it seemed that her style wasn't suited for closed-off spaces. Vaen quickly jumped backward, and then pushed off of the glass wall behind her to jump back onto the lift. "Not bad, you have no hesitation."

Vaen looked towards the next building for the second and saw that red-haired girl still there. "Keep sitting there for me please." Her eyes would trace back onto her opponent quickly. Vaen didn't notice until now, but there was something weird with the pink girl's lightsaber. It was flat like an actual sword, "a broad saber?" She never seen one but heard a brief description of them before.

For now, Vaen would continue to pressure the girl into making a mistake, since the girl would keep her from reaching the red-haired one. Vaen would step in with a diagonal slice while using her free hand to throw a punch at her opponent's face.

With the brief pause, Nima realized the girl was a Jedi. It let her relax a bit more, but this one felt slightly more formidable than past Jedi opponents. She didn't listen much to the girl's words, but she noticed that she looked over to Ine.

Nima looked over as well, and saw Ine standing down there. "Dammit, Ine." Nima had to find a way to get over to her, but if she did the Jedi would just follow right after. Her attention went back to her opponent, Nima had to find a way to create separation.

Blocking the first strike overhead, Nima would reach her left hand across to catch the punch. She learned from the Jedi's first attack, that they like to use their free hand often. The problem was that Nima's arms were now in an awkward position, and she didn't have the strength to block an attack with just one hand on her saber. To try get out of the predicament, Nima would let go of the Jedi's fist and grab her wrist instead. Then Nima followed up by hopping up and drop-kicking the Jedi right in the chest.
