Vaen could feel the girl's grip getting loose, but was caught off guard by the kick. It hurt a lot, and Vaen tried to back up but it seems the opponent was still holding on to her wrist. She knew that the girl would launch another attack, but Vaen would cut it off.

Vaen would respond by grabbing the girl's wrist as well, then she would lean backward to pull the girl towards her. However, she leaned all the way to the ground and stuck her foot outwards to try and toss the girl into the air. In a narrow space like the lift, being in the air would put you at a huge disadvantage. Vaen would have a multitude of ways to handle the girl if she was in the air.

After the kick, Nima landed on her feet and maintained her grip on the Jedi. She was about to thrust with the lightsaber again until she was suddenly yanked forward. "She grabbed onto me!"

Sseeing the leg stick out, Nima thought the girl was going for another kick. "Fool." Nima thought. Nima would use the momentum to jump up, avoiding the leg, and prepared to thrust her saber downwards on the Jedi.

Vaen was surprised at how witty the girl was, a downwards thrust like that was incredibly smart. The opponent definitely had a lot of combat experience and was an excellent duelist, but it seems she didn't take the force into account.

Vaen had her right where she wanted. She deactivated her lightsaber and let go of the girl's wrist. Then she would use the force to launch the girl straight up into the air. Vaen quickly got up onto her feet and used the force to grip the girl, throwing her in the direction of the building that the red-haired girl was on.

The tip of the purple lightsaber was centimeters away from the Jedi's throat, and Nima all of a sudden could feel herself being forced up into the air. She couldn't help but flail her arms and deactivate her saber, but then she could feel her body coming to a stop. At first, Nima thought she was feeling the apex of her 'launch' but it was actually her being held by the force. Then, she could feel her body being forcefully launched sideways again.

Nima landed on the rooftop on her side, but swiftly made her way onto her feet. "Ine you need to run," she said, igniting her saber again to prepare for the Jedi. "She's coming for the gem." Nima placed her off-hand on her stomach for a moment, the pain from the earlier punch was still lingering.

Ine's legs trembled as she watched the whole fight happen. It was the first time she ever saw a real fight between force users before. Nima had somewhat held her ground but she was on the losing end. She watched the fight in awe and her breath stopped seeing Nima get launched into the air.

Ine was about to rush over to help Nima, but Nima had already gotten back onto her feet. Even though she was told to run, Ine was too scared to move her legs. The fatigue really started to kick in as well. "but are you ok?" she said exhaustingly to Nima. "My legs are starting to give out"

After using the force to throw the girl, Vaen leaped from the lift and landed on the rooftop the other two were on. She landed somewhat harshly on her feet, but it was better than the tumble the other two took. "Alright you two, just give it up."

Vaen straightened up and looked at the other two. She no longer had the advantage of the narrow space on the lift, but she still had a small advantage. The Zeltron had to protect the red-haired girl while fighting at the same time, but the red-haired girl wasn't capable of moving around much. "If you just hand the gem back over I'll let you two go, but I can't say the same for the Sector Rangers."

Nima had hoped a bit that the Jedi would have ended her pursuit, but her hopes were way too high. Protecting Ine would be a bit of a hassle, but she was now in a much more open area to utilize her saber style much more effectively.

Placing her right leg a bit in front of her left one, Nima bent down slightly to enter a defensive stance. She held her saber by her side, almost as if she were preparing a quick-draw. With a few deep breaths Nima would then slow her heartbeat down and all of her focus was directed to the Jedi. "Ine, stay directly behind me, no matter what." Nima's style usually involved a lot of movement with her defensive techniques, but the scenario of the battle didn't allow for that. All Nima could do at the moment was to try and fend off the Jedi as much as possible. She was just worried about when or if the Sector Rangers would arrive.

Ine immediately stood behind Nima, who seemed to focus to respond to the Jedi. Ine looked over Nima's shoulder to respond "Well why don't you give up!?" she stuck her tongue out at the Jedi as well. "What kind of weirdo beats up and follows around young girls?"

Ine really was just too nervous and blurted out things, but she also hoped that the Jedi would have her focus thrown off. The part about Sector Rangers really scared Ine. If it were true, both herself and Nima would be surrounded soon. She could only hope that Nima had some sort of plan in mind. Ine didn't want to ask directly since she didn't want to break Nima's concentration.

Vaen felt slightly agitated by the girl's comments, she would place her left hand on her hip "Hey you're the bad ones here! Didn't I tell you to stay out of trouble?" Vaen still couldn't help letting out a chuckle because of the girl's comments.

Her attention went back to her main opponent. The defensive stance was a little menacing, and it didn't leave many openings. Vaen recalled seeing someone practicing a stance in the Jedi order before, but she didn't have time to thoroughly observe. "She'll immediately go for a horizontal slice when I'm in range"

Of course, the smart thing was for Vaen to wait for the backup to arrive. It would be difficult to get past the Zeltron's defense in a one-on-one battle, but once they were surrounded it would be easy. However, Vaen wouldn't let this opportunity pass to get some good training in, and some fun. She took a deep breath and entered her opening stance: the blade raised up beside her head pointed at the opponent with her offhand forwardly stretched out.

"She can't use her off-hand effectively" Vaen recalled. The opponent's style was the complete opposite of Vaen's. Vaen was more offensive with one-handed strikes and utilizing her off-hand for follow up attacks. With another deep breath, Vaen burst towards the Zeltron and would user her right hand to tilt her saber downwards to block the horizontal slice. For the follow-up, she would attempt to use her left hand to push the opponent backward with the force.

Nima really wanted to turn around and tell Ine to shut up, but she had to maintain her concentration. This technique, the closing maw, was usually used as an opening attack, but Nima's father created a variation as a defensive technique. It was superb against lightsaber wielders that held their saber with both hands, but a one-handed fighter like the Jedi would be tougher.

The Jedi was approaching, and Nima swung her saber horizontally. She was prepared for the girl to block it, Nima's eyes were on the Jedi's off-hand the entire time. Right before the sabers clashed, Nima deactivated her blade and reactivated it to get around the saber. With the saber reignited, Nima now aimed her swing right at the Jedi's off-hand wrist.

Ine was about to come up with some witty rebuttal, but the Jedi's words really began to seep in. "Wait, we ARE criminals now..." Her life would be different now, but it was her decision to leave the boring peaceful life behind.

A small ship seemed to arrive overhead with a giant spotlight pointing down onto the rooftop. It blinded Ine a bit "Great, we're on the holonet news now." The spotlight didn't seem to affect Nima or the Jedi, as the two were keen in on each other. As the Jedi came in, Ine turned her head away in fear but made sure to be exactly behind Nima.

Vaen's eyes widen as the girl's saber was now inches away from her wrist. She yanked her hand back as far as she could but the very tip of the girl's lightsaber cut the palm of her hand. A burning sensation coursed through her hands as if she had touched a burning hot pan, and she took a short step back.

However the girl was now open for an attack after taking such a wide swing, with her right hand Vaen rotated her wrist and would attempt a horizontal slice right at her opponent's neck "Good effort but it's over now!" she thought.

Nima missed her mark, she should have aimed for the elbow. However she was still able to get minor damage off, and she already had the next step planned. If the girl had gone for a downward slice, then Nima would have been doomed. The Jedi could have also used her main-hand to utilize some force power, but a pure saber-fight was Nima's specialty.

Nima knelt down and ducked her head to avoid the horizontal slice, as the Jedi's blade skimmed across the top of her bun. The Jedi was now completely open, and Nima rose while bringing her saber upwards for a diagonal slice aimed at both of the arms of the Jedi.

The large hum of a lightsaber went by, and Ine opened her eyes up to see what had occurred. What happened in just a few seconds felt like it occurred over minutes. The smoke coming off the Jedi's hand from the cut with the horizontal slice going over Nima's head just inches away from Ine's face. She could feel the heat radiating off of the blade as it continued.

Ine's eyes looked downwards, witnessing Nima crouched down blade prepared "She got her!" With Ine's emotions and heartbeat rising, the force seemed to swarm the area. Time started to speed back up as Nima came back up with her saber to deliver the finishing blow to the Jedi.

"I... missed?" She was discombobulated after getting her palm cut, and mistakingly went for a wild horizontal slice. Vaen tilted her head down and her eyes were caught by the girl's eyes. The pure concentration on Zeltron's face was almost menacing, and fear shook through her skin as Vein watched the blade come up.

In a last-ditch effort to avoid the attack Vaen leaned back while bringing her hands above her head, the purple lightsaber would graze against her right tri-cep. With the poor positioning, Vaen also lost her balance and stumbled backward a bit. The pain from the lightsaber cut felt less noticeable this time due to the adrenaline pumping in her body.

Nima missed her mark again, but she still held the advantage. She could feel the force stirring up within Ine, and she ducked down deactivating her lightsaber. "Ine now!" Nima used both of her hands and summoned the force to blow the Jedi away.

By herself, Nima didn't have enough power to create a force push strong enough to send the Jedi away, but she could tell Ine did. She didn't have the time to think about how Ine's connection felt strong, but she just had to trust that she could utilize the power.

"No she missed!" Ine thought seeing Nima's strike barely miss. Ine thought it was the perfect strike, and she couldn't believe that the Jedi found a way to avoid it. She started to panic until Nima called out to her "Ine now!" Ine was unsure what Nima wanted until she saw both of her arms reach out.

Without hesitation, Ine out-stretched one of her arms over Nima's head, letting the force escape through the palms of her hands The only thoughts in her mind were to get the Jedi away from her, to force her away.

Vaen's eyes now locked onto the red-haired girl's eyes, and it felt like Vaen was being blasted away by a hurricane. She flew backward and was disoriented that she couldn't control her body. Vaen smacked into the side of a nearby building and fell all the way down crashing onto the top of a dumpster.

Pain surged through her body, and Vaen rolled off the dumpster onto the ground. She just laid on the ground and groaned, a few bones broken in her body. "Kriff my ribs..." Vaen rolled onto her back "Who is that girl" The face of the Zeltron girl was imprinted in her mind. Vaen hasn't had a good lightsaber fight in a while, and it was difficult for her to remember the last time she lost badly. "What a monster" she mumbled.

Nima was a bit surprised by how powerful their force push was, but she knew most of it came from Ine. However, she didn't have time to ask. She just noticed the ship with the spotlight, they had cameras pointed down at them. Nima quickly grabbed Ine's arm and ran towards the opposite side of the rooftop. "We have to go."

Knowing Ine wasn't capable of moving very quickly, Nima picked Ine up to carry her in her arms. Following up she jumped down the rooftop and made her way through the alleyways so the ship couldn't track them. "We're gonna have to hide for a while."
