Well currently I am planning on making a Hutt, but actually there is something that really confuses me about the ranking system. I have noticed Hutts getting accepted as enforcers and prospects. I assume that this is not what Hutts are supposed to be doing, they are clearly not supposed to be mercenaries or grunts of the Cartel. I assume that Hutts should normally be crimelords and own assets rather than be enforcers and prospects.

So what I am clearly asking about is would there be a ranking system specifically made for Hutts or would any Hutt character just have to be a grunt fighting for the cartel?

The issue is you're using Jabba as a measuring stick for what a Hutt is and isn't supposed to do. Jabba is probably a good example of what a Lorda (underlord) should be doing.

Hutts, biologically, are capable of being quite fast, dextrous and more than capable of participating in basic "grunt" work.

To add to what Cassa is saying, normally Hutts do get much of their wealth from their family. Although circumstances could easily differ. Maybe they are an outcast, or maybe you are the first to really start your family. We would encourage going down this route so that the system doesnt change simply because you are a Hutt.

I clearly understand, but Hutts are known canon wise as crime lords rather than soldiers. Also what you are saying does make sense, but a Hutt serving as a simple grunt who receives orders from higher ups of different species would really look weird. I still remember during the early days of the fourth timeline how we were allowed to have some assets as Hutts, and back then it was a " Hutt Empire" and not a cartel. I believe that what makes this faction actually unique and different is its various crimelords and how they work hard on expanding their businesses.

Edit : Well Matt I understand, I was just stating my own opinion on what might make things more interesting. After all, a Hutt would normally try to make his way up the ladder to the rank of Lorda through business rather than through joining the forces of the Hutt soldiers. However; this is of course my own opinion and I was just stating it.

Hutts are more than capable of combat. They really are, they even have their own armor, and in the days of old where actually considered a warlike species.

They can do enforcer stuff.

In canon, they are also soldiers. Hutt characters should not just get high ranks just for the sake of being a Hutt. That would mean that new members, for example, would either a) not be able to make Hutts, which makes being a Hutt an exclusive clique, or b) get high ranks with no SWRP experience to justify it.

The ranking system is fine as it is.

Well they could start with some assets like a few bodyguards, a palace, and maybe a ship. After that they can ICly work to expand their assets.

And suddenly you have one set of characters that, just by virtue of their creation, are considered better than others. That's not a good thing. This faction, as all factions should have, has a very simple and straight forward ranking system. There's no reason to complicate it.

This is only normal, I mean for example a Senator by nature would have more assets than that of a soldier. Because it does make sense for a Senator to have bodyguards protecting him. Anyways, as I said I was just stating my opinion I am not really trying to get it complicated for anyone here.

Lorda is a hutt-only rank. It is also a rank reserved for members of the "Hutt Council" (Faction Leader & AFL's).

The promotion system, of course, will apply to all except Bee. Her promotion guidelines will be much much more extensive.
