As the mouth opened and the creature reeled back with a throaty cry, Tresshk looked over to Aster expectantly, only to see her shaky hands struggling to pull the blaster free. With a low hiss the trandoshan reached down for his own blaster, which lead to another long hiss of pain as the arm was coated in his blood and the deep bites. Tresshk pushed through it, aiming it forward and firing off at the creature, a fee bolts impacting the feral beast and sending it howling back into the tunnel, the shots a little too weak to bring it down outright.

That’s when the tunnel became dotted with several rows of yellow, predatory eyes. It seemed the commotion had been enough to wake the rest of the den...

“Get your ass to the ladder, NOW!” Tresshk yelled with a commanding voice that would pierce through to her, and he started bolting for the rungs built into side of the wall. He pulled his hardcase forward, fumbling with it to get to the contents within...

Aster saw Tresshk look at her with irritation as she struggled to get her blaster free. She was afraid. She realized that without him she would already be dead, and here she was being a deadweight again as he shot the beast and yelled at her to run. She ran.

Reaching the bottom of the ladder, she finally managed to get her blaster free of its holster after the sproingy cable on top of it got caught for a moment. One point for sproingy cable, Aster zero. She raised he blaster and sent a trio of bolts in the direction of the pack of beasts that had begun to run at them. Two missed, one hit the thigh of one of the creatures, slowing him down.

"I'm at tha ladder, now what!" She screamed back, half panic and half determination in her voice. She squinted down the barrel of her blaster and fired off another pair of shots. They pinged off the rocks in front of the closest beast, making it halt its advance for a moment as the two behind it bumped into it.

“Are you karkin-...CLIMB!” Tresshk yelled out, digging in his bag. He pulled out a thermal charge, lighting it up like a flare and tossing it into the swarm of killer felines. It lit up the tunnel like a flare for a moment before it burst out fiery goo, a thermite that clung to the beasts, making them writhe and cry out, but the others only ran past them for the prospect of food.

As Tresshk came up to the ladder, he made the quick assessment that getting two climbing up would be too slow before the creatures arrived, especially if Aster took the lead. Before she could even really start, the male picked her up like she was nothing and used his lanky arm to move her up against his back, to hold onto him. Tresshk then jumped up, starting to climb quickly, even as she felt him wince from his arm. And it would be a long climb...But they weren’t quite out of the thick of it yet, and the trandoshan let out another hiss of pain, getting yanked down some, but he held his pained grasp. Two of the creatures had leapt out, one hitting low against the wall and cracking its own skull, but the other snagged onto Tresshk’s ankle, holding on with his teeth loosely as he swung in the air some. The huge trandoshan then pulled his leg up, pulling the large beast with him, pulling him up enough to pull his vibroblade free, activate it, and jam it into the creature’s skull. The fyrnock fell limp, falling with his blade into the pile of nipping creatures below. With a breath then, the alien looked up, and with one last grunt, he began to climb. It would be a bit before they got to the top...

Tresshk yelled for her to climb and she climbed. Started to at least. Fire exploded in front of the creatures and the next thing she knew she was being lifted up and found herself clinging to Tresshk's back. Squeezing tight to hang on, she looked down to see a fynock hanging on to Tresshk's leg.

She tried to aim at it, but her aim was thrown off as Tresshk stabbed the beast, her shot flying into the darkness blow. He returned to climbing and she tried to steady her aim as one of the beasts started climbing up the ladder. She squeezed the trigger.

She watched the bolt fly right in between its eyes. She saw its vision fade and felt it flicker and fade as the creature fell away from her. Her heart raced and she tried to fire another shot off, to keep the animals at bay and give Tresshk room to climb. Luckily they seemed to lose interest in the fleeing prey and began to tear at their fallen pack mates.

Tresshk got them a good distance up before he looped his arm in a rung and let himself hang there some to get a break, breathing out. He looked down, seeing the creatures stop, only for one to get adventurous and begin to climb.

“Kark-...” Tresshk breathed out, tensing up to prepare his for either climbing or kicking, only to watch a blast zip between the creature’s eyes, making it fall and dissuading the rest from pursuing. It let him finally relax and settle from the near death experience, taking it all in. He then began to laugh, his throaty noise echoing through the cave almost eerily.

“There’ss always ssomething, huh? Firsst daring esscape? It’ll be a good minute before we get up, hssk, maybe practice with that peassshooter of yours? Oh! And if you don’t mind, there’ss a pack on the bottom back of my equipment. It’s got ssome gauze, and well, my arm is KILLING me right now. Jusst don’t get too handssy down there, hehehssk.” The large trandoshan laughed despite his apparent pain, wincing though he held on strong even with her extra weight.

Aster hung on as heard as she could to Tresshk's back, the image of falling down into a pit of fyrnocks running through her head. She breathed heavily and tried to calm down, shakily responding to Tresshk. "First one on tha ground, usin' my own two feet."

She exhaled heavily as he asked her to fish for some gauze in his pack. She rolled her eyes as he snarked about getting handsy. She was way too freaked out to get handsy. Fishing for the gauze as they hung there, she found it after some difficulty, and a bacta spray.

"What ya doin' keepin' ya medical supplies at tha bottom of ya pack anyways." She asked only a little irritated at the fact that she had had to dig around for it, didn't want him to think she was trying to be handsy. Spraying Tresshk's bleeding arm with the spray, she tried her best to wrap his arm as he hung there and she hung off him, her hands shaking a little at the prospect of what lay in store if she fell.

Tresshk did his best to hold back his laughs as Aster hung on for dear laugh, panic in her breath and her voice. To the experienced trandoshan, one who lived on this sort of thrill to kill and escape of certain death, having her there to get freaked out was almost refreshing. It reassured him just how adventurous this treasure hunt really was...

“What am I gonna do, spray those deathhounds with some nice bacta? I keep the important sstuff on top. Medipacss are for after the missions, to kisss all my booboos. Hehssk. Thankss for the assisst, little misss. Death below, adventure above. Sssk. You’ll be able to tell thiss one to your grandsspawns.” The huge male smiled, giving a light grunt as he lifted his arm. He was still in clear pain, but he fought through it as he began to climb, the bacta and tourniquet enough to stop his dark blood from continuing to poor from the wounds as he moved the arm.

It took a good amount of time for the two to get to the top, enough time for the girl on this trandoshans back to really think, maybe calm her nerves some. She also had plenty of time to talk to Tresshk, if she cared to get something out of him, or just give him more of an earful for bus reckless behaviors. If the trandoshan pushed himself too much, that arm would start bleeding again...
