There's a difference between being a citizen and being born on American soil. At least, if you want to run for office.

The constitution states "No person except a natural born Citizen," so you can be a citizen at birth despite not being born on American soil. My mom could run for president despite not being born on American soil as her mom was American and caused my mom to have American citizenship at birth.

The whole reason that law (natural born only for pres) exists was to protect America in the 1700's from anybody born and raised in France or Britain to become our president of the new nation, because they might have been still loyal to one of those Kings and wrecked us. I think congress wanted to get rid of the law in the 50's, but they didn't want commie's taking over, either.

And if you are born on a US Base oversea's you are technically natural-born citizen. IDK y, but thats how it is.

I said that he ought to at least consider the fact that that is an obviously biased arguement. A lot of that stuff is subjective and slanted a certain way.

That is just the way these things are, so don't use it as proof, use it as opinion.
