Karai was on a visit to Murzana looking at the various shops and stalls. To be fair he was quite bored, and looking for adventure or something unexpected. Little did he know where that would lead. Deep in his own thoughts he was a curious sight among the market stalls,,another of the outsiders viewed with caution and curiosity by most. He found himself equally curious, and not just for their appearance which reminded him of the professor at the Korriban Academy. lymril. why were they all so skinny but tall. He wondered of it was just the diet the species had or was it just how they were.

He was more curious since he was sure he had seen them once or twice at the academy. And they were not a teacher.

He noted that a particularly brazen thief was trying get to their wallet. It gave him a chuckle, definitely something he might have done in the past, but something told him it would be better to help out. And so he approached, scaring the world be thief away. He spoke "Almost got your wallet taken, got to be careful around here. Not everyone is friendly to outsiders just yet. I have seen you at the Academy. I'm Karai." he extended a hand.

Since he had arrived in the Academy of Korriban, Chasdrym had spent most of his time devoted to his studies. He was going well in most of his classes, being only a bit average in those that involved the use of lightsabers. It was no surprise for him, he was a scheming manipulator and not a warrior. Even then, the Sephi still made an effort to improve his combat skills. They were still important.

However, most of his focus remained in becoming a potion master, perhaps some day he could reach the level of Darth Arcanos. The knowledge about poisons he already had, but needed to learn the rest.

Even with his insatiable desire to become better, the Sephi still appreciated free times out of class. It was in these moments that he reflected about his life plans and worked on his hobby: baking. Chasdrym wasn’t sure when he discovered that talent of his, but he was a very good baker. He could make delicious cookies, cakes, brownies, breads and several other things. For him, baking and brewing potions wasn’t so different, you needed to follow the correct instructions or everything would go down hill.

It was due to his interest in cooking that Chasdrym was visiting some shops and stalls in the streets of Murzana in search of ingredients. He was aware that the locals were staring at him. It was annoying, but the Acolyte remained with the stoic expression typical of his species.

He was picking some jars of cinnamon when he felt through the Force that someone was trying to steal his wallet. They would bitterly regret it. Chasdrym was already turning, prepared to test a new type of poison on them, his thumb touching the ring on his little finger. However, he saw that the thief had fled after being faced by a very large Pureblood.

Chasdrym vaguely remembered him from the Academy. By his size, the Sephi deduced that he was a Massassi. By living in Korriban, he had learned how the divisions between the species worked. “I’m Chasdrym.” he said with a monotone voice, before turning to look at the thief that was running away. Then he looked back at Karai. “I was already prepared to deal with them, but thank you anyway.” he remained stoic, watching the Pureblood reaction.

He wondered if the other thought that he was defenseless against a simple petty thief.

Then, he turned back to the stall, paying for the cinnamon. Perhaps Karai could make his shopping trip quicker. “Do you know where I can buy bakery ingredients and confectionery products?

Karai was curious as he observed the Sephi. He found the situation peculiar especially with the lack of any expressions to read up on the other mans face. But he supposed it was common of that particular species or so he had heard. He could feel the Force within and noted how stoic he was. With no emotions to read he wasn't sure if he was happy or not with his presence and son was cautious. He was the rings and wondered what they did.

So far the man it seemed didn't mind Karai and asked for his help. Chasdrym, he heard was the name. He found it slightly unusual and wondered how to pronounce it in case he got offended. He made Karai think when he spoke about finding a bakery or sweet shop. Was he a baker? Or did he just have a sweet tooth, he did like the idea of finding some sweets though. It was making him hungry a bit just thinking about it. And so he spoke, trying his best to be polite.

"Possibly. I'm sure I can find something like it, sweets sounds a good idea. Perhaps we can talk on the way."

With that he walked beside Chasdrym, it was getting fairly hot, well hotter than usual but such was Korriban. It was perpetual heat most times of the day, he was curious how the Sephi found it. He spoke as they took the walk towards the lower market area passing through a fruit and vegetable stand with several Pureblood children running past or between them. And the parents yelling after them to wait up.

"So how are you finding Murzana so far, to your liking? And how long you been at the Academy? For me I recently started."

It seems a good idea.” Chasdrym said, while putting the cinnamon inside the basket that he was carrying. Inside it were cardamon, anise and clove that he had bought in other stalls. After his arrival in the Academy of Korriban, the Sephi had decided to make some local sweets and went to buy the ingredients by himself. However, a local could show him the shops while avoiding nuisances like that petty thief from early.

Besides, Karai was going to be the first Acolyte that Chasdrym interacts with, and the purple-skinned man was seeking possible allies. He only wondered if the Pureblood would understand that conversations with a Sephi could be very frustrating given their lack of emotions.

They walked through the street. It was filled with every type of stall, selling from objects to food. There were children running around, trying to avoid the vigilance of their parents. Chasdrym watched these scenes of normal life of the Purebloods with a neutral face. “Murzana is pleasant, the people and the sun make it far more attractive than Umbaran.

Unfortunately, the intensity of the sun also made the weather very hot. Even with the light clothes that he was wearing, Chasdrym was being affected by the growing temperatures. His face, however, remained devoid of any emotion even with his discomfort. “I started recently, too. Do you already have a favorite subject?

Karai had to chuckle as the Sephi agreed with the idea, he thought it was good too. "I thought so too." he said as he adjusted the turban on his own light clothing. It was traditional and very within the style of the more common folk around. Karai wondered what Chasdrym would make of it even as they walked.

Despite it he knew there was a risk he was taking by having even approached the Sephi in the first place, especially when both were still Sith. But he imagined if they wanted to harm each other it would of happened by now so was content with how things were going. At least so far, he needed allies and this he could see was a opportunity for it. He listened as Chasdrym explained how he liked the city and the people. Even the sun. If only he knew looks could be deceiving, for many were those who could hide behind a fake smile on Korriban.

At the mention of Umbara it drew curiosity.

He had never been, but had heard talk within the Korriban Academy of it. How dark it was and a history of violence, one event recently with being attacked in a failed attempt to assassinate Darth Arcanos. "I can imagine so. Being in constant dark doesn't seem appealing. As for subjects...dueling I think or Elemental 101. I've been honing my natural talent for Terrakinesis. And what about you? Any favourites? Made any rivals yet." he joked. He guessed Chasdrym might get it even if he lacked the emotions to show it.

Chasdrym had indeed made his silent conclusions about the clothes that Karai was wearing. He thought that the hood covering the Pureblood head was a useful complement to the outfit. With the sun getting high in the sky, having something to protect their heads was good. Several other citizens around them were wearing similar hoods, while others had turbans.

The Sephi regretted not having brought a hat, but at least he remembered applying sunscreen.

He listened to Karai talk about his favorite subject. The Sephi had to agree that elemental control was interesting, but he still preferred the Sign Casting classes with Iymril. The occult side of the Force always fascinated him, nearly as much as potion making and alchemy.

My favorites are potion and alchemy classes. It’s sad that Lord Arcanos doesn't teach anymore, I heard that he was an amazing teacher.” his voice tone remained neutral, showing no sign of the sadness for losing the opportunity of learning with a great potion master. However, he really lamented that missed opportunity. There would have been so much that he could learn, it was worth even being used as a guinea pig by the Darth as he used to do with students.

Regarding rivals, the Sephi couldn’t even imagine why Karai had asked it. He wanted to leave the Academy with a list of allies and less enemies possible. Without support from others, Chasdrym would be easily picked by any possible rivals. He was very aware that they were Sith and rivalries were common. However, it would be better if they appeared when he was more powerful. “None. Do you have any?

While they continued walking, Chasdrym noticed that the Purebloods around them were still staring at him, some being more discreet than others. “Your people seem to have concerns with my presence.” he said, showing no visible sign of being afraid or concerned because of it. He was aware that Sith Purebloods could be xenophobic, similar to some Sephi. “Do you share their concern?

Karai listened carefully, although noting the lack of headgear which was probably a mistake given how hot it could get and was getting. Yet he found interest in what Chasdrym said about potion and alchemy classes. A subject that also held his own fascination even if he wasn't as skilled in that area. It was true, the king was very busy although he did sometimes wonder what he was like as a teacher.

He had heard he was once also quite a party animal back in his day if rumours were to be believed.

"I heard that as well, and how he liked to test potions on Acolytes now and again." He chuckled "Can you imagine seeing it." As the subject turned to rivals, Karai shook his head, he had done all he could to avoid trouble so far. And it was going better than expected, he was finding his list of allies growing. But yet he was still cautious regardless. They were afterall Sith.

"Sorry if it's a sore subject, was just checking in case someone takes offence to us talking. I don't have any either, trying to avoid as much trouble as I can if I can help it. As for my people...they are just cautious. They haven't really seen any outsiders before king Arcanos came along. He changed everything around here, for alot of us. So far for the better I think. Wouldn't you agree?"

He answered the inquiry "As for myself. I don't, not as much as I did I guess...after spending time at the Academy and seeing others. Opened my eyes a little. Although I am still a bit cautious, given our occupation, but it's part of the job." He considered something. A small smile on his face as a way to perhaps earn some trust and an ally came to mind.

"You know if you want a genuine Korriban experience and where to find the best spices, and baking goods and some wonders not many see, there a city I know, I could take you. Adun. They call it the City of the Dead, it's where the older tombs are found and an ancient gateway to the desert. Not a big city but it has its hidden charm. The Great Gate. Considered a wonder of the planet by the people. Not many outsiders have seen it. But it would require a walk across the desert so you might need something for your head...I can help you find something...traditional if you want. Would you be interested?"

As expected, Chasdrym didn’t laugh like Karai. His face had remained with the same stoic expression. “It must have been curious.” part of the Sephi understand why Arcanos used Acolytes to test his potions. They were the lowest part of the food chain in the Order. Opening their mouths to protest could mean that they were going against a superior. Even himself would do something like that if he was in the Darth’s place.

And he really wanted to become a potion master, perhaps even teach it some day.

You are clever for wanting to stay out of trouble. Attracting too much undesired attention isn’t good for an Acolyte.” especially if by getting in trouble they ended up pissing off a Champion or Master. If it happened, Chasdrym was certain that it would end in death. It was due to this reason that the Sephi maintained his head low, being a good student and respecting his superiors, while also seeking alliances with his fellow Acolytes.

Karai’s explanation about his species made Chasdrym turn to look at him briefly. It made sense, the Purebloods had lived in isolation for centuries. It would take a long time for them to trust in outsiders. “I see. Your people aren't so different from mine. We also have some distrust for other species.”’ some habits seemed to be the same in different parts of the Galaxy.

Like you, my time in the Academy also opened my eyes. Now I don’t have prejudice for other species.” unless they were half-Sephi and Annfyns. He despised these two, especially the latter. “I particularly think that your species is attractive.” Chasdrym eyes remained in Karai's face for some time, before turning away. His voice and facial expression had remained neutral during the entire time.

When Karai proposed the idea of guiding Chasdrym in a tour through ancient places from Korriban, the Sephi stopped walking and turned to look at the Pureblood, stoic eyes looking at the other Acolyte. “I would like it." he never left the city since he had arrived at the Academy. Visiting new places could be interesting. "But, are you inviting me for a date?” the Sephi said in such a neutral way that it was impossible for the red-skinned man to understand if it was a joke or he was being serious.

Karai noticed how Chasdrym didn't laugh, but that was expected given what he knew of the species. They really did have no expressions he was finding out, and yet there was something about them. Despite how skinny they were he could at least see into their eyes. He nodded at the comment about keeping out of trouble. He imagined it was true of even a Champion or Master. In fact he found it was given what he had witnessed at the last party he went too. He had seen a Sith Master get beaten down for causing some kind of trouble.

"Or for Champions and Sith Master from what I seen. I saw a Sith Master get beat for some reason at a party recently. Rumour has it they may have earlier in the night killed the Regent of Ur." He wondered if that rumour was true, he knew the implications if it was. Ur would be in a uproar soon for a second time unless someone sorted it out. As the subject changed to their species and a similarity. Karai found himself agreeing.

They were not so.different other than the Sephi not showing emotions as his did. But it didn't put him off, he found a strange comfort in it. Wondering what it was like to not feel. At least in a emotional sense. Whereas his own species could be quite emotional especially if angered. Feuds ran deep in the sand. He was amused by the comment about finding Purebloods attractive, earning a smile.

He was caught however a little off guard, and surprised at the mention of if his intention was a date.

He chuckled at first, he hadn't really thought about it like that. And yet...the more he spoke, the more it was becoming appealing. Looking Chasdrym up and down, they were attractive according to his eyes just as much as it seemed he appealed to them. Or so far as he could gather from what they said and inferred. Something about the eyes drew him. Dark and deep purple like a violet and filled with mystery. A mystery he wouldn't mind knowing more. A contrast to the fire of his own pale yellow eyes. Although he had been with others of his own kind, this was a first with someone from beyond the stars and he found it exciting. Enthralling. He hoped it was mutual.

"Well I didn't exactly have that in mind but...if you don't object, I would love too. You are an intriguing thought, I wouldn't mind knowing more. Shall I lead the way."

He said genuine and honestly. Although he still didn't know if he was just joking or genuine, but took the risk anyways. He offered a hand, deciding to stop for a turban on the way. Nothing like turban shopping to ease the tension if any and get to know someone. Clothes often told a lot about a person afterall.

I see. Even high rankers can be careless.” he said, taking that story as a reminder to always be careful when dealing with other Sith. If Chasdrym ended up getting a rival or making enemies among their ranks, which was very possible given the nature of the Order, he needed to be clever when dealing with them. Preferably by finding ways that would not give him a punishment.

Once again Chasdrym didn’t join Karai with laughter, neither did he show any annoyance for the Pureblood thinking that his comment was a joke. He had said it with the purpose of being ambiguous. He really thought that the Pureblood species were attractive, with their bone ridges and face appendages. The vivid red color of their skins was also pleasant.

The reality was that the Sephi felt more attracted to species that had lekkus, montrals, horns and other appendages. He felt the same way with vivid skin colors. They transmitted an aura that was appealing to him, even more when combined with an owner that had a larger body than his own.

And Karai fit this description perfectly.

Chasdrym watched Karai offer a hand to him. A faint and nearly imperceptible smirk tugged on his lips, before vanishing as fast as had threatened to appear. He didn’t expect that reaction from the Pureblood, but ended up being very pleased with it. “Show the way.” the Sephi placed his slender hand over his, noticing how his soft skin contrasted with that of the other Sith. “I had been thinking about buying some local clothes.

Karai agreed with the comment "Apparently so. Some greater than others it appears." he allowed a smile as the Sephi agreed to the impromptu date the two seemed to now be going on. And yet he found no objection to it, he actually found it refreshing and different, not caring what any thought. His personal business was his own and any had a problem they could take it up with him and his fists or failing that lightsaber. For he was Sith and he would express himself how he wanted with who he wanted.

He found they both complimented each other, while Karai was was quite emotional and expressive, full of pride and charm, Chasdrym was not so expressive. But he began to catch on some subtle movements indicating when he seemed happy. Even if his face didn't move. Like two peas in a pod seemingly made for each other. So different and yet so much the same in some ways. Sith and yet more. He was beginning to enjoy the company and looked forward to the date.

Holding his hand, Karai soon lead Chasdrym to a more upscale shop for some more suitable clothing, traditional, noble as he seemed and with a turban to protect his head from the heat. He would need it for where they were going. Rummaging he soon found something He thought Chasdrym might possibly like that was traditional attire yet with hints of nobility. He helped wrap the turban properly the traditional way.

"There you go. Now you look like a noble of the Korribani sands, it suits you well, your very fetching indeed." he joked, enjoying the sight.

Karai was happy as he was, with who he was. With the turban sorted he soon began the journey, using a creature akin or a camel to traverse the sands. Yet he always kept close, to ensure nothing and no-one would spoil his time with such a rare delight. Soon they were at the city. Or rather just before it, and there stood the the architectural marvel that was the Great Gate or as some called it the 'Dragons Gate' which separated the vast desert from the City of Adun, City of the Dead. Home to the Ragnos and known for the rarest of spices and baked goods as well as more ancient tombs in the outskirts.

"Here we are, the Great Gate. Marvel of Korriban, and something of a piece of pride for the Ragnos so I hear. The city lies just beyond it." he said, hoping Chasdrym enjoyed the sight.

Once through they were met by the sight of two large statues depicting ancient Ragnos kings and further in the City of Adun itself which differed slightly in the shaped around of buildings, with a distinctive Ragonos flair to them. There were several markets, each with the spices and goods that Karai had spoken of. His word kept and the promise of new ingredients to kindle the imagination.

He smiled, hand still held as he spoke.

"Welcome to the City of Adun. I hope it is as to your liking as Murzana." and himself he wondered, for he viewed the Sephi to his own liking. At least so far, and the attraction seemed mutual. So far as he was aware, and so he continued to walk with Chasdrym. So far they seemed to be enjoying each other's company. He hoped he was a pleasant guide for the date and met the expectations.

Even despite his upbringing upon the streets.

Chasdrym let himself be guided by Karai, taking that walk to think about what was happening. When he left the Academy early that morning, the Sephi only thought that he was going to buy some baking supplies. The Acolyte never imagined that he was going to meet a Pureblood and together they would go on a date to visit Korriban's touristic spots. It had been completely unexpected.

Obviously, Chasdrym would watch his back around Karai, they were Sith and only met moments ago. However, the Pureblood seemed to be excited with what they were going to do, seeming very genuine with his feelings.

From the Sephi's part, he was pleased with the possibility of having a new ally and with the fact that Karai really made his type. Tall, with facial structures and very muscled, enough for him to notice even with the baggy clothes that the Pureblood was wearing. His face would remain with a stoic expression and his emotions could be naturally suppressed, but it didn’t mean that Chasdrym couldn’t think that other people were attractive.

After all, he wasn’t a droid.

Karai brought him to a shop, one that Chasdrym considered particularly good. The clothes and the decoration showed that it was frequented by wealthy people, exactly his type of place. He would come there more times in the future.

Once he was dressed in his new clothes, Karai helped Chasdrym wrap the turban on his head. The Sephi wondered if the Pureblood was aware that he liked this type of attention, especially after having spent most of his childhood being treated as nothing by his family due to being the youngest. Things would continue this way if he wasn’t identified as Force sensitive.

He stared at the mirror with a stoic expression while Karai finished with a turban. Chasdrym thought that the Pureblood won more points with him, this time in the personality stat. “Thank you. I like it.” his voice lacked any emotion, but he was sincere. “You are good looking too.” the Sephi stared at the red-skinned man for a moment, silently appraising his body and clothes.

Some time later, they were crossing the desert mounted in some type of animal. The landscape was beautiful, but the Sephi disliked their transportation. The creature stink and wasn’t the most comfortable. Next time he would go on a speeder bike.

The sight of the Great Gate made him forget about his discomfort. It was indeed impressive, with the Sephi picking his EZPhone to take some pictures. The city beyond it was also amazing, with Chasdrym immediately interested in visiting the markets. “It really is. Show me around. Maybe I can find more ingredients in the market.” Chasdrym said, his hand moving to hold that of Karai and pulling him toward the stalls.

As Karai guided Chasdrym he to thought about what had happened and was happening. How unexpected it had all been, and yet he didn't dislike it. He knew they were both Sith and so he would still need to be somewhat careful if things progressed but he couldn't help but feel different about this Sephi. What were Sith if not to follow their passions. How the Dark Side worked in such mysterious ways he thought.

He too had even in the short time noted an attraction to the Sephi, one he hoped reciprocated.

It brought a smile as he helped him with the new attire and turban. He was pleased that Chasdrym liked it and chuckled with a blush a bit as he said he was good looking "Thank you for the compliment." he said, despite any lack of emotion he could tell it was a genuine comment. He wondered if he enjoyed the extra attention he was getting, it wasn't something Karai would usually do but there was that something about him he liked. Something perhaps desired now he thought about it.

Unexpected though it was.

So as they traversed the desert, he kept close as allowed and told the odd joke, even if no emotions showed in response. It was strangely appealing in its own way. He hoped the jokes distracted from the stink and the uncomfortable ride there. However once they were he noted how Chasdrym took some pictures of the Great Gate. It brought a smile that he liked it. He hoped it remained that way. As they entered, Kara I kept smiling, more than happy to show him the markets. And allowed himself to be pulled as well as lead the way when he saw a particularly interesting stall he thought might appeal to the Sephi. He offered at one stall some type of sweet fruit, rare in the desert. But worth the price he thought for Chasdrym.

They came across some type of show, depicting an ancient battle.

Anyway to remember history and learn from it. Further along there were more stalls with ingredients as far as he eye could see. A filled with more than just fruit and vegetable stands but also hand woven carpets, tapestry, hand made potsand carvings. All genuine and unique in their own ways. With the mark of the maker upon it. Karai spoke as he walked, hand in hand.

"I hope you are enjoying yourself and the company. It was a...unexpected encounter and surprise. But I welcome it as a improvement to my day. And I know as Sith we are taught to not trust each other...but, I don't know. Something feels different around you and they do say follow your passion and the rest will come."

He smiled as he continued "You know I actually make carvings myself, from wood. Perhaps I might make one of you sometime, if you don't mind it."

Chasdrym dragged Karai from one stall to another, seeking the best ingredients that he could use on sweets. Soon, the basket that he brought would be filled with new things, to the point that he couldn’t buy anything else. The Sephi decided that next time he would bring a larger one.

During that time, Chasdrym noticed how excited Karai was with all that. The Pureblood was showing him everything, describing every detail that they saw. The Sephi was sure, if he could, his fellow Sith would even explain to him the story of every single tile. It was obvious that his fellow Acolyte was trying to impress him. He even bought a very expensive fruit for him.

The Sephi was aware that there was a mutual attraction happening between them. The Pureblood was totally his type and his pampering had been winning points for him. However, Chasdrym wasn’t easy. He wasn’t a brainless Annfyn that would fall in love at the first sight. If Karai wanted this attraction to become something more, he had a lot of work to do.

Yes, your company is being pleasant.” Chasdrym said, while they walked away from another stall. What Karai had said about feeling different around him seemed a lot like a declaration of love, or at least something close to it. Now the Sephi was wondering if Purebloods also love at the first sight like Annfyns.

Even if his face remained devoid of emotion, internally he felt proud for having caused that effect in the Pureblood.

I'd like a carving.” he said with his neutral voice. Chasdrym would appreciate such a gift, he never received anything that was especially made for him. Then, he turned to look at a group that seemed to be dancing. “What are they doing?

Karai was rather patient as Chasdrym dragged him store to store, smiling as they went making any suggestions for sweets he thought the Delhi might possibly like. Being attentive since he liked him. Although his basket was full it didn't stop them having a look around, for another time when he had a bigger basket. He described the various architecture and what some of the inscriptions meant, helping to understand the culture. He wondered what the Sephi culture was like, were they similar? We're they as extravagant with so many different spices and smells. And hidden meanings imprinted into things.

Karai morning noticed how Chasdrym seemed to like the attention he was giving and so he would continue. To make a good impression, especially as the attraction was mutual. Although he said he was feeling different it wasn't a declaration of love just yet...it was of affection. To show his interest. He could see the Sephi was playing hard to get, a fact that just excited him. He did like a challenge. The thrill of the chase.

And so he would continue to pamper him, and see what he could do to improve the odds in his favour.

Listening, he nodded as he spoke, happy that he would want a carving from him. "As is your company. I would be glad to make a carving for you." And so he looked for a suitable piece of wood for sale, eventually finding it just as Chasdrym noticed some dancing. With a small smile, holding a hand, Karai spoke as they looked upon three exotic dancers. The first dressed in red clothe and silk with a small fan, the second green and dancing with some jingling bells and the third in black and twirling a ornate knife in a display of skill. Several others were also dancing as a street band played traditional music.

It appeared to be celebrating a birth of some kind, a dance to welcome the new life.

"Oh that. They are dancing, it appears to be celebrating a new life, it doesn't happen much as it once was so it is celebrated. We are welcome to join them, if you want a dance one of the Grotthu can hold your things for you. I mean if you think you can handle me." he said, smirking a smile, in a way proving he could be just as much of a challenge and laying the gauntlet down. He also liked to be chased a bit.

I’ll be waiting for it.” Chasdrym said, staring at Karai before turning to look at the people dancing. The Sephi would really wait for that. Until recently, he rarely received any gifts, due to his existence being ignored by his family. It made him cherish every single thing that he received.

The Sephi listened to Karai’s explanation, while watching the Purebloods dancing. He could be staring at them with a stoic face, but Chasdrym was really impressed by their movements. “So, they are celebrating the birth of a child?” he asked, following every single of their movements with his eyes. It makes sense, with how this species was close to extinction, any birth must be celebrated.

Karai’s comment about them dancing made Chasdrym turn to look at him. “We are only going to dance.” he said, his voice devoid of emotion. “But, the question that you should be asking is if you can handle me.” the Sephi turned to look at the crowd of Purebloods moving according to the rhythm. A faint smirk tugged on his lips, before disappearing.

He pulled Karai toward the group and turned to look at the Pureblood. “Well, perhaps you could show me the steps? Then I’ll follow you.” for now, he added mentally. Chasdrym wasn’t the type of being led in a dance. As soon as the other Acolyte showed him how to do it, the Sephi would show why he wasn’t so easily to be handled.

Karai was happy, and would get to making the carving when he found the time between the Academy. He certainly did want to see Chasdrym again even after the day ended. He looked forwards to it. For now though he was enjoying the moment and everything while it still lasted, savouring them. As Chasdrym questioned, Karai nodded "Yes, it is always something of a grand affair to some."

He noted how Chasdrym was following each movement, smiling in response as he felt the beat of the music. Just as he felt the beats of his own heart in sync with it. As he waited for his answer to the dance and his challenge, he briefly chuckled at the response. And the witty reply. Karai found it very amusing, and smiled a little more. Challenge accepted he thought.

They would soon see how each handled the other in this exchange of flirtatious commentary and dance.

As each got to know each other better. He allowed himself to be pulled into the dance, and looked into the Sephi eyes. And with that he started moving his feet, getting into the music and lead the dance, holding Chasdrym by the hands in a exotic dance followed by a twirling dance as the beat sped up, this was the dance of the street, one Karai was familiar with continuing and wondering if Chasdrym was enjoying himself and the dance as he twirled a for more times, holding Chasdrym close and then leaning down before up again a few times as they moved.

He hoped the Sephi approved of it as he waited to see what he could do as it went on. To see if he could indeed handle him just as much. Or so far at least, either way Karai was enjoying it all.

"How you finding it?" he inquired "To your liking I hope."

I thought that it would be the case.” Chasdrym said, still looking at the movements of the women. His theory of births being celebrated was correct, then. However, he still wondered if it was related to the fact that the Purebloods were close to extinction and any birth mattered for them. Or it only happened with rich individuals.

Because with the level of fanfare that this entire celebration was showing, it was obvious that it was being sponsored by nobility.

Whoever was behind the organization of this celebration, it didn’t matter for Chasdrym. He would enjoy everything that he could, starting with his dance with Karai. The red-skinned had his hands in his waist, while the Sephi warped his arms around his neck. It took some time, but he started to mimic the Pureblood’s movements.

His face had remained stoic during the entire time, but internally he was a bit amused with the fact that his fellow Acolyte was really trying to seduce him with that dance.

Very pleasant.” he said with his neutral voice, before leaning to whisper in Karai's ear. “But you still need more than that.” Chasdrym slide his hand from the Pureblood’s neck, through his cheek and stopped at his chin, caressing the facial appendages that he had here.

Then, he let go suddenly from Karai and turned to look at the stalls. “I’m hungry. Where could we eat?

Karai enjoyed every moment as they danced, even as Chasdrym remained stoic and without emotion. It didn't matter, so far as he could tell he was enjoying it. Just as he was. Each moment and movement was matched with equal vigour as the two twirled and moved almost as one, complimenting each other as the Sephi appeared to pick up the dance movements.

As the music played and they danced Karai felt a world away, as he enjoyed it all with who He was with, and wondered was the Sephi culture like this. Did they have such celebrations. He chuckled in amusement at the comment of having to work a little harder than that, finding the humour to his liking. He was certain he would need to, and would attempt to deliver. Although it wouldn't all be one way...he would also not make it so easy. Such was the game they were playing. Such was the chase he was enjoying.

He enjoyed the way the man touched him. A small smile forming.

"I was hoping for a challenge." he said in response "But do not think this is strictly one way, you will also have to do a little more." he smirked.

As Chasdrym let go suddenly, he was caught off guard but recovered quickly. Noting his hunger, Karai spoke "Well there are a few places, but I think I know of one." With that he held Chasdrym hamd, allowing him to link between if he so desired as Karai began to lead him away from the dancing and music. From there, followed by Grotthu who held Chasdrym baskets, Karai led him to a large savoury food stand where dough was in the form of spheres or flattened circles. With multiple choice. Some were decorated with the globes of imprints, sprinkled or crushed nuts, others with bits of sugar. The flat spheres appeared to be a mixed meat wrap
of cured and preserved meats that were cooked to perfection to delight any food connoisseur. Other dishes were fresh meat.

Several dishes included sliced or chunked meat, drizzled or dipped in sauces made from blood or marrow.

Karai picked a few options he thought Chasdrym may possibly like as he spoke "They do it as a buffet style, all you can eat at a reasonable price I'm told. Just perfect for us don't you think?"

He wondered if Chasdrym loved what he saw, with so many items to pick from and all smelling and tasting so good. A genuine part of the culture.

I see. Then we are going to have a long game.” he said, while staring at Karai with a neutral face. Chasdrym was competitive, he would love to play that game with the Pureblood. Whatever was the first to give up, the Sephi believed that it would end up being a victory for both.

Or at least he hoped that it would be.

While Karai guided him toward the food stands, Chasdrym took some time to study the Grotthu that was carrying his basket. His homeworld didn’t use slavery for centuries, but he could understand the benefits of having a slave. Perhaps his people should have enslaved the Annfyn, this would have turned their existence into something more useful.

When they arrived in the stands, Chasdrym studied the food that was being sold. He was especially interested in the sweets. The rest seemed appealing too, but there was a little problem for him. “I don’t eat meat.” he said, staring at the great number of meat being offered with little interest.

You could choose what to eat for me.” he said, now looking at the red-skinned man. “I believe that you know more about the local food to make a good wrap without the presence of meat.
