Bracca. Mid Rim scrapyard and deconstruction planet. Owned and operated by some massive megacorp making bank by selling off individual parts, the actual operation was run by its "employees": indentured shipbreaker debt-slaves trying to pay off insurmountable loans. Gellart was one of those employees, and he was done being pushed around by corporate security thugs. He'd gotten the info that he needed from his last raid - now it was time to 'acquire' the parts he needed to fix his ship from the company sale inventory. They could afford the loss.

Ahead of him was the local district warehouse, filled to the brim with rows upon rows of parts, gear, and salvaged items of value - all pretty well guarded too. Company needs to defend its profits from people like Gellart. He just needed a hyperdrive, but honestly? He'd take anything that he could carry. Screw these guys.

Bracca pissed her off, but a job was a job. The promised payment was decent and the job allegedly doable, especially with the help of her all innocent looks and her fine assortment of equipment. Maeve's last heist had been quite a while ago, so she was thrilled to be back into business.

She had picked up certain rumors about the company keeping some pretty decent shit locked up and while someome had actually given her a real hint, she didn't plan on fulfilling their task, but potentially just taking a look into the thing herself before deciding what to take. Such leaks always came with a price though and so she was expecting to be joined by more mercs. Usually, a big crew meant more trouble, but Maeve knew she could easily part ways, slip away or generally just get the job done by herself if needed.

She went under the name of "Siria" here, a persona she had only recently worked on as she usually stayed off the sector, but once again work had drawn her in. What a women like her did on such a scrapyard planet? Oh, she had a story whenever someone intercepted her as she had simply claimed she was the wife of the junior managers and with a flirty smile, she had been allowed to enter.

Sticking to her role, she was clad in a tight fitting black dress and matching black heels- uncomfortable, but she'd get rid of them as soon as she had to. A black coat, tailored like a dress covered everything she smuggled in and so she looked fairly unassuming, yet a bit misplaced, but who would stop a worried wife searching for her husband. It would get her where she needed to be.

Approaching the warehouse with quick steps, she soon crossed paths with a very grim and serious looking worker (@Shalken), and knowingshe had to start testing the waters in this operation, she approached him with a polite smile. "Hey there...ugh I've gotten terribly lost. I'd assume you know your way around here well?".

Oh woe to the galaxy, when a very drunk rue decided to partake in a dumb ass breaking and entering challenge.

Rue by this point has long sobered up, but she still intended to go through with this little stupid ass challenge, well.. because her cred was on the line here! If she didn't do it, her lads would think she's a quivering "w-w-wussssyyy!!"

The mandalorian was getting her tools ready, when hilariously, her clippers fell and bonked her on the helmet kaldabe style, to which she angrily threw the tool.

Rath had been offered a job on bracca to act as security for some bank’s operation. Though as his shift was ending and he went to collect his pay he was shorted what was agreed. He made his way up to the office in the warehouse to talk it over with the manager.

“Sirvthe credits I were given were half of what the contract stated.” Though he was annoyed he had to keep it professional. The manager on the other hand was not so professional. “What’s it matter I thought you bucket heads were only about credits not specifics. If you got a problem there’s the door another chump will work for a fifth of what we gave ya.” The mandalorian almost jumped out of his armor at this statement. Instead he turned around and made his way to the entrance with his credits.

Deep in thought figuring a plan of attack, Gellart was pulled back to reality by a very well-dressed woman asking him for directions. Initially all he could manage was blink in surprise; people dressed as well as her were either higher ups in the megacorp or offworlders, though in this situation he was inclined to assume the latter. Those associated with the corporation would never dare fraternize with their employees. A wry smirk crept across the spacer's face. "Yeah, I do - more than I'd like to, really. Name the place, and I can probably point you in the right direction."

Something metallic clanged nearby, seeming to set the tone. Gellary scanned the streets nearby before continuing, the grin disappearing from his face. "But if you're looking to avoid trouble, I'd stay away from that warehouse. Call it a gut feeling." He gave her a knowing look, wordlessly expressing his warning that something was about to go down. He didn't know if he could trust this woman, but he'd give her the benefit of the doubt. Innocents getting caught up in the mess that was about to happen was the last thing Gellart wanted.

The man replied right away, not particularly fazed by her question and yet somewhat critically assessing her clothes. Yeah, no one expected someone to appear here wearing this, but she still knew her story would get her the Intel she was still missing so for once she didn't mind drawing a bit of unwanted attention.

"Ohh", her smile widened as the worker revealed he knew his way around and she slightly tilted her head to the side. While she kept her appearance as the innocent, unassuming Civilian up, she did asses his physique. She figured she could take him on as he wasn't tall but not very bulky, so a few plans and backup plans were already drafted. "That's wonderful", she added, delighted and somewhat relieved before her gaze scanned their surroundings.

He mentioned the warehouse and offered some words of warning that actually piqued her attention. Was that it? Did he know more about it, too? She assumed he wouldn't willingly disclose it, so she feigned nervousity and began shifting her weight from one foot to the other. "I'm actually looking for someone...My husband is supposedly waiting somewhere around the warehouse. Would you mind walking me around it?". She threw him a pleading grin, her gaze nervously flicking between him and the object of desire. She was convinced he'd be her ticket in.

Rath jingled the credits in his hand as he made his way down to the bottom level. He couldn't help but look around the shelving. Dozens upon dozens of various ship parts, some he could use for his own ship. Stopping and talking to a couple of the workers about the selling of parts and if he could get some. "So is there a way to buy some of these parts or are they stored here for a reason?" One of the workers looked up from his ledger he was going over, "They get sent to parts dealers. If you want something you gotta go through them." He didn't even acknowledge the second question.

He made his way to the door when one of the guards stopped him. "Hey mando, is your shift over already?" The man was a bit taller than Rath and built like a rancor. "I was told to get my credits for the day so I believe it is." The man simply grunted and waved him off. He finally reached the door and walked outside. Stopping just outside and looking down into his hands at the credits. Crime lords definitely pay better.

Of all the places this woman could need directions to, she wanted to get into the very place Gellart warned her about. This could get complicated very quickly. He gave a resolute huff. "Ooookay then. This way." Heading across the near-empty evening streets, he reached a corner of the grimy building where both the front entrance on one wall and an unassuming side door on the other were within view.

"Main door's right there. Should be easy enough to navigate once you're inside," he nodded to the entrance that some heavily-armoured guy just exited. Gellart nonchalantly moved to the side door, stopping in front and drawing his fusion cutter. He gave the woman one last mischievous, knowing look. "Careful. Better find your husband fast. I heard this place is gonna get messy pretty soon," he warned, zapping the door controls to punctuate his statement. Gellart then slipped into the dimly-lit warehouse, leaving the woman behind outside. She could probably take care of herself at this point, and likely had a bit of time before he inadvertently alerted security. Well, assuming she wasn't going to rat him out first.

Maeve followed the man, her steps perfectly elegant and unassuming while her hands slipped into the wide pockets, one hand slowly gripping the blaster. Her plan was simple. He surely knew a way in. She'd have him intimidated and stunned within seconds after he would offer the access and potential guidance she needed.

She kept her hands buried and expectantly met his gaze as he warned her yet again, however immediately reaching for a fusion cutter. It was genuine curiosity that crossed her face as she raised a brow, not believing her own ocean eyes for a moment. Was this perhaps another unassuming ally? What he said to her last told her everything she needed to know.

Without a word, she slipping in right after him, vanishing into the shadows a tall barrel offered. It was genuine mischief that was suddenly written all over her face. As he slowly began walking in, she'd appear right behind him, grabbing him by his left wrist and pulling him backwards in a strong, swift motion, hoping to catch him by surprise. "Listen here, change of plans. I just got the feeling we might be after the same thing after all". Her voice was hushed and she held onto him for a moment, carefully assessing his reaction to be prepared for the case he wasn't here for the same kind of mischief.

The Mandalorian was about to leave when he noticed two people in his peripheral. Turning to look he switched to his lowlight mode and noticed it was a man and woman standing outside a side entrance. Though he was stiffed and didn't care if they were robbing the place he was a bit curious. After all he was still owed a few thousand credits.

As he watched he noticed the man do something to the door then get grabbed by the woman. Huh, they weren't working together. What is in this warehouse for two parties to be gunning for it and a Mandalorian to be hired. He mad his way over both his hands on his dual blaster pistols at his hips. "You kids seem to be up to no good. What exactly is worth all this fussing over?" Though he preferred sticking to his contract, it was broken by the employer this time. Rath was a man of getting even so if these two could help, why not rob the greedy bastards.

Just getting ready to start combing through the shelves, the hand grasping his wrist caught him off guard. Maybe she was going to rat him out after all. Instinctively flicking the fusion cutter out into its full vibrosword form, he prepared for a fight as he looked back to the woman - but was instead met with her mischievous expression as she hinted at her real reason for being there. The smirk returned to his face. "Well, I'm not looking for your husband," he replied in a low tone, "unless he happens to be a Lancer- grade hyperdrive module."

Hearing a voice address them from outside, Gellart jutted his head out the door quizzically, spotting the Mandalorian leaving the building earlier. Not that Gellart knew he was a Mandalorian, though - he'd never seen what a Mandalorian looks like before. Rath just looked like some heavily-armoured trooper of some kind to him, albeit one that looked totally unlike the rest of the planetary enforcers. The way his question was posed made the scrapper presume he wasn't working for security, either. Fine, a trio it is. Bringing a finger up to his lips to shush the guy, Gellart nodded his head sharply towards the building's interior. "Come find out," he replied in a forceful, hushed tone. The more stuff stolen from this megacorp, the better.

Stepping back in, he took a moment to properly get a good look at the interior. The layout was fairly simple: rows upon rows of aisles of stock laid out on metal shelving units all lined up. There was likely to be guards patrolling the building. He hoped they were at least smart enough to label or organize the stock.

Despite spotting the fusion cutter and its swift transformation, Maeve decided against stopping him. He immediately mirrored her mischief and revealed the full nature of his plans, and obviously, that played right into Maeve's cards. "Hmm...tempting", she immediately replied, her smirk just widening. Good, an ally then, at least until he'd prove a liability.

She let go of him and took a step, ready to discuss plans, when suddenly a Mandalorian came into sight. "I'll be damned...", she let out a playful scoff, immediately recognizing the beskar armor by its colors and design. "Now that's a coincidence". She hadn't expected to meet him under such circumstances, but apparently he was a thief, too after all. Perhaps she had been rubbing off on him...or perhaps he had just been in the area. It was still an interesting change.

"Good, fire power, check", in a lowered voice, she summarized how their next ally could make himself useful, but in the back of her head Maeve kept drafting backup plans already in case anything went South. "So where is this hyperdrive...and where is the really good stuff?", she adressed the new face (@Shalken) curiously, waiting for some fresh intel. She for her part already slipped out of the black heels, knowing she wouldn't need them anymore.

Rath made it towards the door and recognized one of the culprits(@LadyRen). "Is there ever trouble you're not involved with?" He seemed to take stock of both of them quickly realizing he was the firepower before it was even mentioned. It seemed they were after a hyperdrive first and foremost. He couldn't recall noticing one but he also wasn't looking for it either.

"From my shift earlier it seemed like roughly eight to ten were inside. Although I didn't see the entire building so I would recommend expecting over a dozen." He always was willing to relay the intel he had for a mission as it increased the chances of success. He was confident he could easily clear the building out by himself but that would draw too much attention, plus none of the guards necessarily needed to die. Turning to the one slipping inside(@Shalken), "I'll follow your lead as you seem to be the one taking charge." Giving him a nod of respect before crouching down and waiting for a signal.

Returning the nod to the Mandalorian, Gellart noted that these two seemed to have worked together before in some capacity. He didn't expect them to turn on him necessarily, but he kept his guard up regardless.

Starting to amble down the aisle in front of them, Gellart eyed the various power tools, bits, and batteries scattered on the shelves. Perhaps they did itemize their products properly. "I know that specific hyperdrive I need is here, because I pulled it out of a wrecked Lancer myself while on the job. Corpos took it away before I could bring it home." Eyeing a nice-looking grapple gun on the shelf, he snatched it up and clipped it to his belt. "As for the 'good stuff', they probably have it all locked down in a vault on the far end," Gellart gestured further down the aisles into the dimly-lit space ahead. "Guns, gems, spice...you'd be surprised what we shipbreakers find in the scrap."

He halted for a moment as nonchalant footsteps strolled somewhere nearby. Gellart drew his blaster, setting it to stun. These security guards were crooks, but some were just down on their luck. They weren't monsters. Not without proof, at least. He looked back to the other two. "I'll watch your backs, but don't get too greedy."

Had he been following her? Once again Maeve was confused. His help would surely come in handy, but more people often meant more potential fuck ups of plans too, but she'd see how this would play out. "Nice to see you again, too" she replied with a smirk at John, before her mind focused on the plan at hand again. She still wondered whether under his helmet, color was rushing to his cheeks again as he probably remembered their last encounter well.

While she quietly began to follow, she took in all the details, processing the new intel and forming a plan based on it. "I'm more of use when I stay undetected...but if we need a distraction, I'm gonna go for it", she explained in a hushed voice, slipping the first sedative dart into her hand as she slipped into the pockets of her coat.

Despite the missing shoes, her disguise was still functional and so she was counting on sticking to her story if needed. For now though, she walked last, attentively listening around and always looking for cover to slip behind in case they encountered resistance. A hyperdrive was definitely promising, yet she wasn't sure whether a variety of light loot would give her a better deal in the end.

"And I'll get us access for the vault", she confidently declared, assuming guards near the entrance were definitely in possession of a key card and pickpocketing was one of her specialities. "Careful", she said to both of them, once again her voice barely more than a hushed whispered as she heard footsteps approach. As they couldn't afford losing loud shots, she located the guard and sneaked behind an old, open shelf to get a clearer line of side before she threw the dart, the delicate tool flying past too racks.

It hit the target, but the guard hissed and immediately reached for his calf, his eyes widened at the sudden tiny dart in his leg. Now that was a problem. Maeve immediately squeezed through the open shelf and tackled him, immediately pressing a hand over his lips while he still struggled for a second, before he dropped down motionlessly. Catastrophe averted, she thought, but then she heard a second guard nearby calling, "Yo, Kane, what was that?". Now that was something her company would have to deal with.

Rath had followed his contemporaries into the building. He looked along the shelves realizing they were in the tool section of the building. The leader of their merry band stopped and pulled out a blaster deciding to provide covering fire. He heard the footsteps as Kate jumped into action. He heard something hiss followed by a thud and a guard calling out. He snuck his way to the corner of the shelving he was at until he heard footsteps coming his way.

He waited until they were right next to him. Swinging out his armored wrist a metallic bonk sound coming from it as he heard a thud from around the corner. Peaking his head around he saw a guard laying unconscious on the ground. He grabbed him and dragged him back to where the leader was. "We need a way to keep him quiet incase he wakes up before we are done." He began trying to find some form of gag and rope to keep the guard quietly detained.

With the two guards in the vicinity dispatched, Gellart remained on high alert - especially with the loud metallic bonk and the heavy collapse of a body hitting the floor. The woman was much better equipped for stealthy takedowns than he and the armoured fellow were, but that might only get them so far before the alarms were tripped. In the silence that followed, he heard a distant "I'm gonna go check that out," from across the warehouse. Damn. "We might need that distraction soon. Let's see how many guys it takes to find your husband," Gellart quipped with a quiet chuckle. Spotting some crates nearby, he would help their armoured companion quietly hide the bodies behind once suitable restraints had been found. As an added precaution, Gellart threw on the telltale security uniform coat and hat one of them was wearing. It wasn't a perfect fit, but it'd do.

The first guards dealt with, Gellart slinked ahead quickly, sticking to the shadows. He'd be lying if he said he had good intel on the layout of this building. However, along the wall he eyed a terminal - that's something that fit his skillset. "Give me a second," he stated as he pulled up the dizzying inventory logs onto the screen. While their database nomenclature wasn't one he was entirely familiar with, he quickly noted a list of items held in the vault, or 'deep storage' - including a wide range of hyperdrive units. "Alright - good stuff is in the vault just around the corner here," he looked back to the others. "I can hack us through if necessary, but I think miss damsel-in-distress here has smoother way in."

Maeve quickly began searching the guard for a keycard but didn't find any, however, there was an ID card and she was hoping that would come in helpful. "Will do...then you better find a place to hide then". Maeve smoothed back her hair as she knew she'd have to slip into her role if needed any time.

She then followed their 'leader', keeping an eye out for more guards to come, but until they reached the vault, they were fine. She met Gellart's gaze, pondering their options for a split second before she nodded. "I'll give it a try", she finally said, reassuringly glancing around for a moment before she got going.

They'd have to hide, as Maeve was counting on not raising any alarm for them just yet, but she immediately started hurrying towards nearest noise she could hear. She slowed her walked and purposely swung her hips just a little while walking, immediately flinching as she crossed paths with an armored guard.

"Ohh...please don't shoot me! I'm just looking for my husband...", she began, feigning shock. He was alone, good. "Lady, what are you doing here, get the fu-", Maeve decided playing along and trying to sway him would take longer, so she actually cut him off as she pulled her Vibro-Dagger out of her jacket and hurled it at the guard.

It hit him, cleanly slicing his throat open, but before she could make too many sounds, she was at him and keeping his mouth shut. So much for the damsel in distress. What this one here had to offer though was a keycard that immediately raised her spirits, and with some blood on her coat, she started racing back to the ofhers. Now, they had to hurry.

"Let's go", she said in a hushed voice, hoping her companions would hear before she swiped the card across the terminal, making the vault door hiss open.

Rath had aided in hiding and binding the guards. As he and the leader finished the other put on a security uniform. He then slinked to a computer terminal. Rath followed trying to hide himself in the racks of equipment, being passable at best. He waited as the man typed on the computer and mentioned the vault having good loot.

He stayed in his hiding spot until Kate came back with blood splattered on her. She said she had the key card and immediately went to the vault. He followed her to the vault. “Are you ok?” The mandalorian was sure it wasn’t her blood but he wanted to be safe. He stood guard at the door as the others made their way in going in last.
