This was a primitive world, a place of nature and good hunting, where grasslands flowed in the wind like waves upon a rolling sea. Xukas could see the appeal of such a quiet life here, where skies did not burn with the smoke of factories. He had not come to Shili to gawk at it's unblemished wildlands, though. The monstrous beast was a shadow in the evening gales, eyes that glowed with the dark side, like embers against a black shroud. Stars sparkled overhead where distant mountains scraped cloudless night. This was a world of opportunity, a world of resources.

The Empire would have it all.

The lights of civilization flicker ahead, and like a looming monster in the dark, Xukas treks closer, silent as the breeze that tussles silver fur. His armor is padded, quiet, his lightsaber settled at his hip. He doubted he'd need it, but nonetheless, it was there. The constant companion to the Sith that would conquer this world. For now though, he would be patient. He would wait. A scout in the tall grass as he skirted the edges of the glistening capital of Corvala. Xukas can't help but wonder just how vulnerable the city could be, but then that was the point of scouting, wasn't it? To find the answers to his questions.

He slips his hood over his head, and makes his way into the streets. The late night is lonely, but still the hum of life whirls in his ears. Not all were sleeping, tucked in their homes. But at the very least, there were not many to spot his curious roaming.

Not until he came upon the power station.

Inside, he knew there would likely be several reactors meant for powering the city itself. There would be back-up generators too, potentially located in alternate locations. Xukas supposed that there was only one way to find out. He scans the boundary, notes the security, and then promptly avoids the front entrance, unaware that he had already been spotted. The wolf leaps the wall that separates him from the surrounding yard, before making his way closer to the building. The front door has no guardians, yet he knows well enough that it is rigged with an alarm. Most secure buildings such as these were, and he wasn't willing to test out whether or not the togruta were an exception. No, instead he heads toward the back, seeking an alternate entrance. He hadn't gone far before a shout rings out, a guard approaching from behind with a blaster leveled. Xukas wasn't even sure where the fellow had come from, but it didn't matter.

He reaches out with the force, snatches the man by the throat, and he can hear the desperate struggle for breath that soon commences as the dark side of the force swells within his spirit like a raging animal. He had planned to snap the guard's neck nice and quiet, before anyone else could notice what was going on. He hadn't planned for the alarm to go off, or for the arrival of several other guards from what he now noticed to be a security outpost on the edge of the barrier. A growl rips from his maw as he bares his teeth, leaps to avoid a blaster bolt that burrows into the side of the power station. The guard that had been in his choking grasp falls sputtering to the grass. If they thought they could pin him here, they were wrong. Xukas wasn't waiting for the planet's security forces to show up. He lunges toward the small group, teeth gnashing and claws slashing.

Blood splatters the grass.

A guard crumples, wounded and scarred.

A blaster bolt burns a raging path into the Sith's thigh, and he roars.

Fury. Pain. And now, panic.

Xukas throws himself at the wall, leaps it with the help of the force, and strikes the grass on the other side with a stagger. He doesn't look back as he lurches into the streets beyond, the fire that burned in his leg an all too present agony. He can hear the sound of reinforcements in the distance, but he won't stop. Can't stop. By the time he reaches the outskirts of Corvala, he's sweating through his fur, despite the crisp bite of the night.

Zak had come back to his home world of Shili with his new Padawan, Lucifrey Sol, in tow. This development was something that Zak wasn't initially comfortable with at first, not necessarily with Luci specifically being his apprentice rather it was the thought of having one at all. Zak hadn't believed himself ready for the responsibility of teaching a pupil, he wasn't sure if he was capable of teaching a student when he was still learning himself. These were ultimately short-lived qualms as Zak thought back on the teachings of his former Master, the Ithorian Jedi Master Vaddew. She had taught him that ultimately whatever the Living Force brought to him was a part of It's plan and it wasn't his place to question the Will of the Force. With her teachings fresh on his mind, Zak had accepted Luci as his learner without ever allowing the young Jedi to know of his innermost doubts.

He had brought Luci back to his home world for a reason, he wanted her to begin learning to connect to the Living Force in a similar manner to how he did. Unfortunately, Zak couldn't bring Luci back to Master Vaddew's home world of Ithor as she had done with him as a Padawan to show her the wonderful living tapestry that the Force wove there. Instead, Zak had been forced to bring Luci here, to Shili, which was the closest alternative he had to the pristine and untapped beauty of Ithor. While he knew Shili was a pale shadow of Ithor, it would have to do for his first lesson to Luci.

Zak had spent the trip from the orbital station above Shili in meditation, opening himself up to the Living Force. He allowed himself to be submerged in the depths of it's waters, he allowed himself to drift in the gentle channels as the Force guided the steps of his life. A feeling of peace and serenity washed over Zak in warm waves that were only broken when the transport finally touched down on the world's surface.

Once Zak exited the transport he would stretch his arms and legs, then popped his back as he rotated at the hips. A satisfied sigh escaped his lips as he gave his new Padawan an excited and warm smile.

"Welcome to Shili Luci!" He said as he extended his arms outwards to gesture towards the world around them. "This is my home." He continued. "I hope your ready for our fir-" Zak had begun to explain with a broad smile on his face, a smile that faded and was replace by a furrowed brow and concerned expression.

Zak felt something in the midst of his sentence, it caught him off-guard as he hadn't expected to sense this here, on Shili. Zak felt pain, he felt fear, he felt rage, he felt death, he felt the Dark Side. Zak's eyes darted to and fro, his face dipping at a slightly downward angle as he processed everything he sensed in that moment.

"Our lesson will have to wait Luci." He stated, his voice shifting in a distracted yet serious tone. "Something is wrong." He continued. "I sense the Darkside." He explained in a grave voice, his concerned gaze finally lifting to his apprentice.

Zak wasn't sure if he new Padawan was prepared to face whatever laid ahead for them but neither of them had any choice. Shili was not only his home world, it fell under the protection of the Jedi Order as well, he couldn't allow the people to fall into harms way. The light hearted personality of Zakrym La faded as the grim understanding of what he might have to do settled over him, he would protect these people, no matter the cost.

"I sense it too, Master." Luci's voice was trepid yet stern. She hadn't been forced to deal with the Dark Side much during her time in the Order, but she could definitely recognize its stench. A chill ran down the young Padawan's spine, and her left hand clutched at the core of her chest.

"I don't like this..." She had so been looking forward to seeing her new Master's scenic homeworld, but now they were confronted by one of the things that worried her most -- the Dark Side.

"But, I understand. We can't just let this fester..." The bright-eyed half-Annfyn perked up her tail and gave a strong nod to Zak, but she couldn't hide the subtle motion of her ears as they pulled back like those of a worried Loth-cat. Half of her felt the primal urge for action and excitement tugging at her, but she couldn't deny that part of her was fearful of what they might encounter.

"We're Jedi. If people need help, then we should help them.. Right, Master?" There was still a hint of hesitation in the girl's tone while she tried to talk herself up, finding some courage that at least she had her Master by her side. Surely Zak could protect her from whatever they might face. At least that's what she had to keep telling herself as she took a step toward a guard outpost that had its alarm blaring not too far away from the pair.

Lucifrey tried to calm her concern as best she could while she pointed toward the distant commotion where she could vaguely make out a couple guards running into the dark and a few others jumping in patrol speeders as though they were all chasing someone - or some thing.

"At least we know where to start." She'd then give Zak another nod, and swallowed an anxious gulp as she dropped her hand and readied herself to keep up with him as best she could. No way was she about to fall behind with this eerie vibe in the air. "...wonder what it is..."

There's a hum in his ears, an unfriendly sound of the speeders that hounded him. Fur bristled as fiery eyes narrowed with a cold and quiet fury. Through a fanged maw, the beast seethed. It was a rage upon himself, an anger towards his own carelessness, his mistake. But nonetheless, he would turn that fire upon his foes as their flashing lights dazzled canine vision. He would not risk exposing the location of his ship while in pursuit like this.

The wolf stopped running, turned in place with a bitter scowl and the taste of poison upon his tongue. Into lethal claws, the hilt of his lightsaber is drawn, and it's red blade ignites like a brand of magma from a burning, metal cauldron.

The first speeder is close enough, and Xukas throws himself at it, the force aiding his steps, thrusting his feet across the earth with blinding speed. The blade of his weapon cuts through the front of the speeder, and it slams into the ground with a screech of buckled metal. The rider tumbles roughly to the earth, hands scrabbling for the blaster at his hip. Xukas stumbles as he lands, whirls to face his victim with a curl of his lip that displays his teeth in an expression of wrath, and with a jolt of the force, he yanks his victim's weapon away, watches as it clatters against the ground.

The surrounding lights and holo-signs of the city shine vibrantly across his dark fur as clawed hands raise the crimson blade, and prepare to bring it down upon his desperate victim.

"Hi fen oblaan, nu." The deep growl of the Shistavanen's language rings out with a callous chill. And then... he hesitates. The hum of his lightsaber still fills the air, but the glowing weapon hangs there as one ear twitches, and bright eyes narrow. There is a ripple in the force, something akin to a rock slamming against the current. It is a sensation of danger. The thrill of the fight fades into annoyance as the wolf realizes that what he senses are Jedi.

Zak nodded once at Luci, he was proud that she could not only feel the icy chill of the Dark Side in the air but recognize the threat it represented as well. He heard the worry in his young Padawan's voice as she expressed her anxiety, Zak knew in this critical moment it was important that she was sure of herself. He placed a single hand on her shoulder as he looked into her eyes, a small smile appeared on his face.

"Remember the Jedi Code Luci." He stated gently. "Emotion, yet peace." He calmly reminded her. "The Force will whisper to us how complete it's Will." He instructed. "All you and I have to do is listen and obey." He finished the brief lesson by giving his student a reassuring grip on the shoulder he had grasped.

With that Zak's gaze would return to the cityscape of Corvala, he wasn't familiar with the capital city of Shili only having been in the trade center for Shili a handful of times. Zak's nomadic tribe had dwelt in tall red grass savannahs of the planet, he had never seen Corvala until Master Vaddew had taken him with her to begin his Jedi training. Since then, he had only through Corvala the two times he had come back to Shili, one visit was for the funeral of his mother. Ultimately, this mattered little though.

Zak had a leg up on most other beings when it came to sensory organs, his montrals were large hollow horns that were capable of picking up on noise in the air and amplifying them. So, while Luci would hear the distant sirens as they raced towards what Zak assumed to be the source of the Dark Side taint, he was able to hear them more clearly. His head jerked towards the sirens, the grimace he previously had worn on his face returned as Zak steeled himself for what was likely to come.

"Come Padawan, the Force brought us here for this reason." He stated, his tone taking on an uncharacteristically serious tone. "You are right, we have a duty to accomplish it's Will and protect these people."

With that he would take a few measured strides towards the distant echoing sirens, his pace slowly building as adrenaline hit his system. After a handful of seconds the Living Force would burst forth into the muscles of his legs allowing him to run at a pace that would seem blinding to those lacking Force Sensitivity. Eventually, Zak would come upon the hulking frame of lupine figure, a burning crimson blade in it's grip, and a fallen security force member at it's feet. Zak could feel the hate, rage, and pain roiling within the creature even before it's glowing irises flickered to gaze back at him.

In response, Zak simply allowed his cloak to slip from around his shoulders. The piece of fabric was caught in the cool breeze of Shili's evening and fluttered up and away into the night sky. Zak paid it no heed, his grey-blue eyes were fixated on the monstrosity before him even as his arms crossed across his waist to draw forth his lightsaber hilts. He flicked the activation switch on the hilts and the twin blue blades snapped forward to life towards the ground. The plasma blades cast the lower half of Zak's body in a blue glow as he glared at the rabid monster before him, it was a wordless challenge. Zak knew there could be no peace between them, not now at the very least.

The silence between Zak, Luci, and Sith would hang for a moment longer before Zak coldly and wordlessly would take the first bounding stride toward this threat. Zak's charge towards the Sith would be with his right shoulder leading him onward, as he came into range Zak would strike out at a higher angle with his Shoto saber in an attempt to potentially cleave through the Sith's shoulder if it didn't react and block the blow. While he did this, Zak's primary lightsaber (which was held in his left hand) would thrust forward at a lower angle, as he attempted to pierce the creature's opposing thigh with it's burning wrath.

Zak wouldn't allow his home world to be pillaged by a Sith war-machine, he would see this Sith in irons or dead before he let that happen. He only hoped that Luci was ready for what the Sith would be willing to do in order to secure victory.

"Yes, Master." Luci felt a wave of calm wash over her as she and Zak exchanged a glance before they shot forward. She had expected him to Enhance his speed, and pooled the ebb and flow throughout her legs to keep up with his dash as best she could. However, she hadn't expected the Togruta's cloak to suddenly come falling down across her horns once she showed up behind him.

"-Ehh?!-" The half-Tiefling was suddenly muffled as the loose garment fell across her face. Between that, and the sound of her Master's lightsabers igniting, her voice likely went unnoticed while she flailed her arms up into the cloak and tried to free herself from its blinding grasp. A moment later she managed to sweep it away with her left arm, accidentally ripping a small pair of holes in it from the tips of her blue horns. Had she not been distracted by what she saw she would've apologized, but fear caused the young Padawan to freeze in mid-reach to the practice saber at the left side of her hips.

"Wha... What is...?" The girl's azure eyes widened and trembled as she swallowed her voice, then adrenaline flooded her system, and the Jedi's training kicked in. She couldn't let fear paralyze her here, especially not when her Master was throwing himself against this... 'Shista... Shistavanen?' Of course! She'd read about these before, though it was a little different seeing one in person for the first time, and the foul vibe she felt didn't help either.

Lucifrey's expression filled with a fierce determination. She had to help Zak. She had to help all of these people. Her right hand snatched up her saber and whipped it back out to her right side as she ignited the purple blade. Her feet then pushed off from the ground, and she dashed toward the fallen guard closest to the fight between her Master and the mysterious Shistavanen.

Luci would then flick her wrist up to bring her practice saber out across her torso in the direction of her opposite shoulder in a defensive stance as she protectively stood over the man, ready to defend him and herself in case their enemy intended to attack them before she'd be able to drag the wounded guard further away from the fight. She just hoped Zak would be able to hold his own in the meantime.

Nostrils flare as the Sith finally allows his gaze to settle, twin glowing flames that pierce the darkness with ease to find the newly arrived Jedi. There is a quiet bite to the air as both Knight and Champion take in the appearance of the other.

Fresh upon the wind, the taste of fear washes across canid senses, and the pupils of a hunter find the padawan next, struggling within her master's discarded cloak. Xukas doesn't have time to get a better look, doesn't even have time to sniff at the pitiful display. The Togruta's challenge was as quiet as the hum of his lightsabers as he charged. Xukas snarled, bared his fangs, and let a cold fury slither through his hulking frame as he waits there to meet his opponent like a stalwart shield.

Left arm snaps up, red blade hissing as it connects with the shoto to parry the blow meant for his shoulder. Sharp eyes see the second blade as it rips like fire through the night atmosphere, carving a path toward his already wounded thigh. Feet jolt him to the right, but the brute would stumble on that wounded limb, would curse the pain that cracked the edges of his calm demeanor like a whip. The Jedi's lightsaber scours across the edge of flesh, a glancing blow perhaps, but a deep one.

The leg nearly buckles, but Xukas braces the limb against the earth with an enraged snarl that rang out with the mixture of a pained yelp.

His right hand is thrown toward the Knight's left as Xukas attempts to grip it within coiling claws, to shove it away from cauterized flesh that glistened raw in the night. The pain is like embers that reignite quiet ash, and now a blinding fire rages in the wolf's vision, flies forth like spittle from his fanged maw as he growls, lurches forward, and aims to clamp his massive teeth into the face of the Jedi Knight that had hurt him.

He doesn't even appear to be paying attention to the padawan that now stood guard over his previous enemy. If Zak's intent had been to grab the wolf's focus, then he had certainly succeeded here.

The Sith had parried the blow from the shoto with his own lightsaber, however the need to parry the high strike meant Zak's lightsaber was free to crash into the lupine's wounded leg. To the creature's credit, he had attempted to evade the strike but had stumbled when he tried to put weight on the wounded limbs. The sound of sizzling meat and a pained yelp from the Sith mix with the scent of scorched fur was the result of Zak's efforts. He didn't relish the creature's pain, in fact he visibly grimaced as the staining sensations bled into the Living Force and crashed into Zak's own empathetic mind. He wanted to recoil from what he felt but he knew there was no time for that, he had to protect the people of Shili and he had to neutralize this threat.

Zak had expected the Sith to continue pulling away from him, potentially retreat and force the Jedi to give a short chase to apprehend him. But that isn't what occurred, instead the hulking sentient wolf did the last thing Zak expected, it's free claw snapped out to grasp Zak's left forearm and with a blood maddened snarl, it pounced upon him. It was the Togruta's turn to let out a surprised yelp as he fell backwards with the brute's forward momentum. As he fell and out of pure instinct, Zak brought an unarmored knee upwards into his opponent and tilted his head to his left.

The pair would twist as they fell to the ground, ending the fall with the majority of the Sith's back exposed to Luci. With Zak's shoto blade pinned beneath the Sith's lightsaber and his primary weapon also pinned by the massive claw that gripped his foream, he was unable to prevent what happened next. Zak's face and head had been spared the crushing maw of the Sith's rabid bite but his right shoulder wasn't so lucky. The sound of fabric and flesh ripping intermingled with Zak's pained and muffled scream as the Sith bit deeply into him and echoed upwards into the night sky as a horrifying chorus of agony.

Despite this blinding pain, Zak wrapped his legs around the massive creature's wounded thigh to lock him in place. Then Zak would turn his head and lunge forward, in an attempt to clamp his maw filled with predatory incisors onto the Sith's exposed ear and tear as much as he could free from it's head. It would be a question of who would pass out from agony first, the Jedi or the Sith, provided no one intervened with this brutal display of violence.

The moment Luci had been waiting for finally presented itself, but as she went to grab the fallen guard by the collar her gaze suddenly caught the vile being's original wound while it was illuminated by Zak's saber. Then the hint of pain in the Shistavanen's yelp struck the Padawan like a broken chord. She hesitated, wondering if they'd maybe misunderstood the situation, but what happened next quickly pulled her back into the moment.

The youthful Padawan watched in horror as the mysterious enemy latched down on Zak. "Master!!" She couldn't resist yelling out with a worried cry as she felt a sharp pang in her chest.

She had to something.
She couldn't just run off or stand by.

Luci struggled as she recognized that using her saber on them in such a bind would be risky, and realized that the Force in this situation could do more damage to the Togruta if she messed it up or yanked the Shistavanen's deadly fangs through more of Zak's flesh and meat. But she didn't want to kill either... She just wanted to understand.

Lucifrey's shaky gaze then caught the fallen blaster pistol near her and the guard she was defending. Her frail muscles snapped into action. Her left hand extended toward the blaster, fingers stretched in its direction. Then she tapped into the shifting tides, tethered a telekinetic grasp around the weapon, and Pulled it through the air.

The purple practice saber flicked down to her side and out of her way as the pistol landed in the sturdy grasp of her left hand. Without hesitation the determined girl would then flip the firing selector to 'Stun', guide the aim of the barrel to the back of the Shistavanen, and if nothing stopped her she'd take a quick deep breath, and pull the trigger to shoot a large blue ring of stun energy at the sentient lupine.

Tangled against one another, claws to flesh and fur to skin, Jedi and Sith would tumble, would feel the sudden rush of the crisp night's air a moment before they struck rough earth. The impact is jarring, a grunt slithers past snapping teeth, and then fangs connect, burrow deep into the shoulder of the Knight that had dared to attack him. It was not exactly where Xukas had planned to latch his teeth into, but in the flurry of swift moving combat, anything would do. Chaos blurred the edges of a savage mind as jaws clamped shut and the taste of blood flooded a beastly tongue.

The Shistavanen did not feast upon his fellow mortals, but there was a pride in wounding this prey, nonetheless.

Through the agony that is screamed into the starlit void above, he can feel the sensation of his enemy's legs snaking around the thigh that still sizzled with fiery pain. The pressure against the cauterized wounds of both lightsaber and blaster alike was almost enough to make the wolf jolt away, but focus hastily dawns upon a new sensation, one that is as surprising as it is painful. The Togruta lunges forward, not with lupine muzzle but with thorny fangs nonetheless, teeth that sink into the thin membrane of his sensitive ear.

He can hear the ripping, the tearing of his flesh, the sensation of hot blood that bubbles from shredded veins to paint dark fur red. Rivulets flow from the injury like maroon ink, blurring vision within a single eye as Xukas growls, thrashes his head back and forth like some rabid dog with a rabbit in it's jaws. Rage burns, screams to life as teeth part from flesh to spit snarling curses.

"Mey joore! Gaar zu'u nu!" Pain and fury ignite fire within magma eyes as Xukas continues to try and tear himself free of the vice gripping Jedi.

His claws spark, electricity singes the surrounding air, and the Shistavanen draws upon the dark side with a curl of his lip that exposed the bloody incisors gnashing within. But in his rage, it seemed that Xukas had made a critical error. A mistake. He doesn't pay attention to the padawan. Doesn't even bother to try, not so tangled as he was with the Togruta, not while his pain raged like acid through his veins. The Sith doesn't get a chance to unleash the sith lightning that he had summoned to the razor tips of his canine talons. The vibrant ring that fires from the blaster hits him first, ignites his fur in a flash of blue.

Xukas sucks in a breath, and then falls ominously still, his muscular frame collapsing limply, presumably upon the Jedi Knight that he had been grappling with.

Zak felt the warm gush of the Sith's blood hit his tongue as he ripped a chunk of it's ear off. He quickly turned his head and spit the raw flesh out before turning his head and maw back to the creature's ear. Zak would have continued biting and ripping until there was nothing left or he passed out from blood loss but what he sensed caused Zak's blood to freeze in his veins.

The Force grew hot with pain and rage, power welled within the lupine Sith as it's hatred took form, malicious energy arched between it's claws. Zak's body tensed as he prepared himself for every nerve in his body to suddenly come to life, but the taste of the Sith's lightning never came. Instead, there was the sound of a blaster firing. The Sith's fur glowed blue for a moment before Zak felt it's body tense, he watched as it's eyes rolled back, and then felt it's body collapse on top of him.

OOF.

The wind left his lungs as the heavy Sith collapsed onto him, complete dead weight. Zak's lightsaber went inactive before he started to try and push the creature from off of him. Zak was surprised when he couldn't shift the creature's weight, his shoulder had been more mangled than he anticipated and he was losing blood rather quickly. Zak stopped trying to shift the Sith from off of him and instead focused on the Living Force, he requested it's aid in reknitting his flesh and staunching the bleeding.

"
Luci, please help me get the Sith off of me." Zak called out from beneath the Sith.

"-Oof!-" Luci winced as she watched the Shistavanen fall limp on her master. "Sorry!" Her purple training saber deactivated with a soft a hiss, and she tossed the blaster pistol a couple meters away from the fallen guard before she hurried over to Zak.

"At least he's not biting you anymore. Right?" She tried to remain calm while she approached and saw more of the gruesome damage both of them had done to each other in their brief encounter. "Good thing I got your back."

A soft smile came from the girl while she clipped her saber to the left side of her pale utility belt. She then softly dropped close to her knees, and shoved the upper corner of her shoulder and torso into the side of the big sentient lupine. He didn't move much. She tried again, grunting and growling like a little animal, being careful to keep her horns to the side and away from both of the other individuals so she didn't accidently gore or cut one of them.

"H-he's--" The petite Padawan struggled against the much larger beast man's overwhelming mass while she kept throwing all of her strength against him. "--heavier than he looks!"

Physical strength definitely wasn't her strong suit, and she wanted to save her stamina to heal the nasty wounds on both figures, but it seemed she was going to need to put some of it into rescuing her master from beneath the furry man-thing.

"Alright, alright, I got you, don't worry. For real this time." She playfully waved a hand towards his face in an attempt to deflect any jokes he might make about how frail she was. Then she rolled up her sleeves, took in a deep breath, and began to gather the Force into her little limbs and muscles over the course of a few seconds before she finally yelled out and pushed forth. The half-Tiefling roared and forced her somewhat Enhanced might harder and harder against the bulky Shistavanen until finally he'd begin to inch away and finally roll off the prone Togruta.

"Hahhh..." Luci groaned hard, panting heavily while she let her body relax and slump down to her knees. She continued taking several more deep breaths as she looked over Zak's wounds and assessed his condition with a half-worried expression. "This is why I keep saying we need to bring med-stims everywhere we go..."

Once she caught her breath again she'd go to place her hands over her master's bleeding wound if he let her, and planned to channel as much of the Living Force as she could to help direct the Healing tides with stitching Zak's mangled flesh and meat back together. At least enough to stop the bleeding so she wouldn't drain too much of her stamina. She wasn't sure if this was actually a Sith or not they'd faced, these days anybody could be an independent, but nonetheless it was possible he wasn't alone.

Lucifrey would do her best to try keeping a steady Sense up around her while she continued tending to her master, though most of her concentration would be focused on properly Healing Zak.

As the weight of the Sith was rolled off of Zak's chest he took a deep inhale, almost sucking in the air as his lungs expanded to their full capacity. Now freed from the might Lupine dark sider, Zak pushed himself up with his good arm and was able to look at the damage the creature had done to him through it's mauling. Deep puncture marks were completely masked by the shredded flesh and muscles, the pain was exactly as bad as the wound looked. He gritted his teeth in absolute agony as Luci's hand reached out to touch the wound and stop the bleeding, it was a combined effort of the two of them but after a few moments the bleeding clotted and stopped.

While the bleeding had stopped, the exposed and damaged nerves of his destroyed flesh were still alight in absolute agony. However, Zak pushed his own suffering aside for just a moment to reach out and touch the massive wolf's destroyed ear. He tapped into the wellspring of the Living Force and selflessly channeled it's healing power into the creature's torn ear. He heard the severed flesh crinkle as it began to heal under his touch. Zak felt his body grow weak at the exertion of battle and then calling upon the Force, his torso wavered slightly before he was able to steady himself.

"Luci, hail the Jedi Temple on Yavin." He instructed weakly. "Inform them that we have captured a dark side practitioner on Shili." He continued. "Request they send a healer as well." He finished with a soft and tired chuckle before he laid back down in the puddle of his own blood.

He just needed a moment to recover from...everything. Luci was right though, he was lucky she had his back.

"Yes, master... In a sec..." A short pant left Luci while she spent a little bit longer catching her breath after helping Zak close his wound. There was a gradual shift in her demeanor as she felt the drain on her stamina with the receding wave of the Force. "Things seem to be back to normal at least... I don't Sense any more disturbances around." She remained on her knees and shins while she watched the Togruta heal the Shistavanen.

"I'll see if I can get someone to send us a grav-bed and some restraints for this guy too." Her left hand gently patted the incapacitated lupine's furry head, and then she saw the Shistavanen in a light as the moon cast a ray down upon the three individuals. A small smile inched up on the corner of her lips while she began to pet his head with a slow and soft strokes. "You know. He's actually kinda cute while he's sleeping." Luci let out a little giggle as she pulled out her smartpad dataphone in her other hand.

"Can we keep him?" Luci joked playfully to lift their spirits a little while she swiped around her phone's screen to send a communication to the Jedi Order. Before the call went through she once again Pulled the blaster pistol through the Force and kept it set to 'Stun' while she relaxed it on her lap. Just in case the Shistavanen decided to wake from his nap early. With a deep breath the youthful Padawan turned her head to the small holo-figure that appeared above her smartpad.

"Hello, master. Padawan Sol reporting." She remained calm and professional while she lowered the device closer to the fallen lupine in order to shift the holo-image she was sending from herself to the potential Sith. "Knight La and I have captured a lone wolf on Shili that we think might be a Sith. Zakrym took a pretty nasty bite to his shoulder, and he has requested a healer."

Luci then pulled the phone back toward herself so the holo-communicator embedded in the device would emit her to the distant Jedi once more. "We'll make sure the big guy stays stunned until we can find a place to hold him for now... Sending our coordinates. We could use some stun-cuffs a grav-bed too, he's suuuper heavy." Then her finger swiped over her smartpad's interface, sending their coordinates to the Jedi before he bid them a job well done and wrapped up the call a few moments later.

After letting her professional facade fade away she let out a deep sigh and put her hand back on the Shistavanen's big furry head. "Okay, big bad wolf... Just what were you up to out here..."
