Well, I really like both. I really enjoy the Force Unleashed because of how badass Shaak Ti.. She totally controlled the sarlacc, and the Felucians were awesome in my opinion. Not to mention the rancors and the environment of Felucia.

However, the drawbacks to me were the fact that the bosses could be stabbed and they would hop up and attack you again, and normal enemies require 2+ saber strikes to kill... As compared to Jedi Academy's one slash, one kill.

And in JKA, the saber controls were a lot more interactive; however, TFU's force powers so totally pwned Jedi Academy's.

And for JKA, I really love the story and the diversity of the planets you visit, plus all the cultists. My favorite level is definitely Vjun. It's just plain fun...

The Felucians and the environments were cool, and I like the Sarlaac, which was interesting. However, the Rancors were totally non-canon since they were wild and Rancors are native to Dathomir. They were seen on Lehon, but that was Rakata Prime and the Rakatans had advanced technology before anyone else, meaning they could've easily migrated them.

Lightsaber damage has never been very accurate. Blue style in JKA still takes several hits to kill people, and bosses/multiplayer requires a LOT of hits for a kill.

TFU's force powers were more accessible and more powerful, but the saber was way too much of a downgrade. They removed all detail on the saber and gave you all the Force powers that JKA had minus some. They just made them more accessible.

I like the diversity of JKA too, but some of the levels seemed like a bit much. Make the rancor high and set him after you, but then throw in huge amounts of sith just to screw with you! Oh yeah, and acid rain is definitely required when they're shooting CONCUSSION RIFLES AT YOU.

Felucia was good on both sides, imp and original. However, the Sarlaac in Imp Felucia was kind of annoying in places.

While I find your reasoning unquestionable, I think TFU is pretty cool too. Though I only play it on PSP... but erm... I liked both. <.<

Since everyone else is going into bigger details...

Force Unleashed had a much better story then Jedi Academy IMO. It also had better force using controls, to an extent. But it still overall felt like a Star Wars version of God of War.

Jedi Academy had better Lightsaber customization and combat.

Jedi Academy had an interesting story, but it really only developed when you complete several side missions. And after some plot development, you had to do more side missions that had nothing or very little to do with the plot. Jedi Outcast had a better story then Academy.

Force Powers took awhile to develope, which is understandable since you are a student in JA, but why can I fully upgrade my light/dark powers quickly while my core are still slowly developing? FU(Force Unleashed) had better use of Force Powers, as well as you get to choose which ones to develope out of all your powers instead of just some.

In JA, lightsaber damage was very realistic and most enemies died with just one or two hits, not counting boss battles. In FU, it seemed like your lightsaber was more like a baseball bat with the way you can beat enemies back away from you when they should have been sliced through and fell to the ground. If LA makes another Sith/Jedi game like this, they need to make saber combat more real like how it is in JA.
