♦ Jedi Army Revamp ♦​

Hey everyone! So here's the first update in a couple months, and it's gonna be a pretty big one.

First of all, I've come to realize that over the course of time the line between the Jedi Order and the Jedi Army (the section of the Jedi we're RPing this timeline) has become very, very blurred. We're RPing like the Temples are our home and have pushed aside the Jedi Council as if they're not really there. Well, here's hoping this will change that.

I've updated and made some big changes to the Jedi Ranks and Organization and the Jedi Temples and Strongholds - please take a moment to read through them. In a nutshell, here are some of the changes I've made:

♦ Padawans are now known as Initiates in the Army of the Jedi; they are basically Padawans from the Order who have completed most of their training and are on the cusp of taking the Trials. While they don't necessarily need Masters or specific instructors, they still can if the RPer wants to. And again, this is an optional rank, one that we recommend for advanced RPers.
♦ We now have the introduction of Masters to our ranks. Basically, this is a rank at the same level as General, but without the leadership aspect in the Army. This allows for characters who perhaps aren't so active on the PvP side but still have been around for plenty of time and have done lots of missions to advance further in ranks. Now, if you've been promoted to Master and not General, try getting into some more leadership or PvP threads to make your way there if you wish to.

♦ The Jedi Army will now be based out of the new stronghold on Dantooine and the Peacekeeper. Also, the primary listening post has been moved to Telos, and the location of this one is only known to the Jedi Lord and his Generals. Essentially, I will be starting a thread soon where the Jedi Council returns to the Tython Temple after having fled during its destruction. After seeing it having been rebuilt as a fortress, they will be outraged and bar the Jedi Army from conducting any of their operations from Tython, Ilum, or Lothal as those are sacred places not to be sullied by warfare. Therefore, while we still are absolutely able to RP on those planets, they just won't be our base of operations anymore. The Jedi Council will officially now be back home on Tython, where the Jedi Order will continue on outside of our RP.​

So, what does this mean for you guys? Essentially, your Jedi, though having been brought up in either the Order or the Army, will have to have made a conscious decision to join the Army in the battle against the Sith. Otherwise, they will have stayed in the Jedi Order proper and we would not see them in play this timeline. I want to drive the distinction between the Army and the Order - we've now got a forward base of operations and a mobile HQ from which to stage attacks and defenses from.

On another note, with the introduction of Master I have quite a few promotions to make! :D Congratulations @Shalken, @Talon maara, @Proleptic, and @Painus on your characters' increase in rank to Master! Also, with @Raydo having stepped down, I have another announcement to make: Please welcome @Kiser as our new Jedi AFL. :)

We're going to be kicking off some campaigns soon and a pretty big story arc, stay tuned guys!

Does that mean the Jedi Order are more PvE side of the Jedi while the Army is PvP?

No, it means that we will not be RPing as part of the Jedi Order at all. This timeline we're only focusing on the story of the Jedi Army, where you can do both PvE or PvP.

Heyhey I got a question as well <3 (sorry for bothering)
So I just kinda wonder, I know the army is the main focus of this timeline (and I'm lovin' it) however there are some real pacifistic / more classical Jedi characters. Wouldn'tit make more sense to say he / she is part of the normal Order or at least give members these choice ooc-wise as well as IC wise? I mean after all, are there no admission for the army? For example let's say you hate saber-fighting and can't handle the sight of blood xD? It doesn't really make that much sense in-game/logic wise to force this characters into the army if they are more monks like warriors does it o.o? Also I would kinda offer a certain diverstiy and more option of choice :)

However this i just my two cents and I don't really mean to suggesst something, I'm just curious about the opinion of the leadership <3

I'll actually elaborate a bit further: if your character is part of the Order proper and definitely not in the Army, then they would actually not be in the Jedi Knights faction and would have to be listed as Indie. I know this might be a bit disappointing to some and is limiting, but that's the direction of the faction this TL. We needed to have this distinction between the Order and the Army, which hadn't been very well explained until now :)

So wold you be against an Indie Faction forming that is an enclave/academy for Jedi? Essentially a faction for the Jedi order? A friend of mine and I were wondering where all the instructors and non-militant Jedi were.
