Courscant Central Library
It's not often that Newton Arden finds himself at a library, usually if he needs to find out something then the holonet would suffice, failing that Blackwell Tech's own databank. But for what he's looking for the Blackwell databank has nothing. He is looking into rumors of a droid planet.

Not a junkyard planet that has lots of droids on it, like Raxus Prime, nor any of the old CIS droid foundry worlds, but an actual planet of droids, with full city scape. Lights that you can see from the system... This was just a one off rumor, but Newton is off of work, and he has time to look into this. Normally he wouldn't be investigating mere rumors like this either, but this concept does sound intriging, maybe it's worth a bit of looking into. If he can't find anything more concrete, then oh well he would guess.

The Courscant Central Library looks magnificent and grand though. There are books, holovids, recordings, .etc of a lot of subjects. This library doesn't have access to arcane lore, but this should be sufficient, maybe.

Newton would be sitting down at a terminal on the upper section of the library, on a terminal he would be able to sift through material, there would be a lot to go through but he did do a board search for 'droid'. So, he will see what kind of results he would get. Newton brought his droid M7 along with him, who would be at his side. The droid would give off a series of beeps at Newton, he would respond, knowing how to understand droidspeak. "Well, this might take awhile, so...." he grimaced. "Might want to find a spot comfortable" If an astromech droid is able to anyway. The astromech would beep some more, sounding sarcastic, as if to say 'why did you even bring me along. "Because, you are my buddy." Newton would smile at his droid and have a light chuckle before butting on a straight-face, resuming his searching.

This will take a while indeed...

Knowledge was important and for someone like Siria Zale who appreciated cultural history it only made sense for her to make another visit to the Coruscant Library. The woman never been before but had heard it was a great source of information. However her aids also informed her the information could be lacking. "The Galactic Empire put in charge Director Armand Isard under COMPNOR. Even so it seems there was a great loss of information. Likely intentional based of what is known about Sheev Palpatine." TC-1138 would continue for a bit, giving information that the woman already had read but it helped to hear it a second time. When she found herself pouring over her studies or spending hours in museums as a teenager there were a lot of dates to remember not to mention names. It helped to have a droid recall this information and at times like these, in the walk from her ship to the Library, it was a pleasant chat.

Looking at the Coruscant Central Library, she smiled and made her way inside. "The further back in history the more fantastical they seem. I'm not sure I entirely agree with some of these accounts." The protocol droid added and shook its shiny red metallic head as it followed the Senator. "Well I think they're fascinating" She countered in a matter of fact tone. "...even if they are exaggerated. There's truth to myths and legends."

Siria wore a red coat that stopped about mid thigh and a simple black top matched with a set of dark grey pants and red shoes. She was dressed in regular attire since this was a personal day. No bodyguards were attending to her either thankfully. It was easy to feel claustrophobic and cornered on Coruscant and especially after numerous days of meetings with politicians and executives.

Even though there may not be the type of information she was looking for, there was still a wealth of knowledge. Her head couldn't help but crane backwards as she looked up at the high ceilings and the upper levels of the structure. Eventually she found herself overlooking the place she had been minutes earlier. But her blue eyes scanned for titles and sections with different media types. "Clones versus droids Tee Cee. That's one of those strange things I heard about and yet the Clone Wars happened. How about you help meE-" Her foot caught the leg of the stool another library-goer had been using. One hand reached out towards the droid but the attendant was not close. The senator fell smack dab on her butt and let out an obvious expression of pain though it wouldn't leave anything more than a bruise.

Newton didn't make any progress with his search just yet on the terminal, he did a broad search, so it will probably take awhile to narrow down the results. This libarary is really a long shot if he's looking intoso-called Droid World. Maybe if he searches by that... more materials that talk about Lotho Minor, Raxus Prime, and other junk planets, or planets like Hyproi, known for their old Clone Wars era droid factories. He still has quite of search results to sift through, there has to be a better way of going through them...

But while he did that, he did hear some chatter getting closer and closer. A droid and then a woman, he took a glance at them from the corner of his eye, he was hoping for some quietness in a libarary, but those are the breaks he supposes. She did mention droids, and appears to have a protocal droid with her, one of a model he can recongize. But wait, that woman looks familar, but he can't get full view of her face... He'd go back to having eyes on his screen, dismissing the thought intially. But Then she came closer and then matched to trip near where he was.

Ouch.

The Blackwell manager would lean sideways in his seat to see if she's okay, she supposes. M7 is sort of a gentleman, much more social and friendly than Newton is. The astromech comapnion droid would extend a manipulator arm to the woman, and beep, as if to say 'you alright?'. Newton would was about to simply get back to his searching, dismissing her, but then he figured out why she looked familiar, she's a Senator whos been in the holonet as of late with the Galactic Senate stuff he's been hearing that. Newton has zero involvement in politics, but he started to pay attention to it more to keep tabs, that may affect descisions and actions later. "Pardon me, are you Senator Zale?" he asked with an expression of neutral curosity. "Are you alright?" he asked as he would begin to get out of his seat. He would look upon her droid. An old TC-series protocal droid. A fan of classics. Newton is too, his companion astromech droid M7 is a R3 droid, even though Blackwell has better superior models that he could get. But he is really fond of M7.

Anyways, Newton would wonder if this lady is Senator Zale, it's not every day he would run into a Senator...

Tee-Cee rushed as best as it could to aid the astromech at seeing the Senator downed. Siria's hands reached out to accept the manipulator and the hand off the protocol droid. "It was my fault." She admited. "I Wasn't watching where I was going." A humbled expression came over her fair features and a chuckle followed. It was a bit embarrassing but thankfully it didn't seem like there were too many immediate witnesses.

"I'm quite alright. Yes." She answered with a smile and made sure to brush any collected dust off. The man looked rather young in the woman's opinion appeared to be studying something. Perhaps he was in school at the local college. Then again she was on the young side herself when it came to the world of politics. So she decided to not jump the blaster.

"Have we met?" The blue irises narrowed a bit, trying to recall if he was someone she knew. While the Senator was someone that was more easily recognized by face, Siria wondered why she had a sense of familiarity towards the young man.

"Good..." he said quietly in relief. Good she is alright he supposes.

When asked if they've met, Newton hasn't met her. "Ah no, we haven't I just recognize you from the holonet, from the Galactic Senate formation." He didn't think that Siria thought she might recognize him, even vaguely. Of course Newton looks like any other young human male and would imagine that Siria encounters a lot of those especially being a Senator.

"But yes, "I'm Newton. Newton Arden. And this is M7" he would gesture towards his astromech droid companion, who would happily sound-off in binary as if to say 'Great to meet ya'll' or along those lines. And pleasure to make your acquaintance Miss Zale. And is that a TC-series I see with you?"

Now that he thinks about it, there is always the possibility that he ran into Miss Zale before. Newton has had lots of clients before, maybe. But he thinks he would remember if he had dealings with distinctive young white-haired woman. Maybe his memory is bad, but maybe there is a chance his name would mean something to her now that he gave it out. Maybe, although a long shot.

He would glance at the terminals screen to look down the list of results for what he's looking for. A lot to go through, he may have to dig more thoroughly. He would hit enter on the keyboard will quick to proceed on one item and then he would look back at his newfound Senator acquittance.

"So, here researching into the droids of the Clone Wars?" he asked innocently, casually asking her based on what he overheard, or thought to overhear, not remembering all of it. It could be heard in his tone he is interested in droids. Newton does know quite a bit of the Clone Wars, but only due to the heavy involvement of droids in said war.

Siria nodded at Newton's sighting of her. There were some politicians that spent too much time in the spot light and fame in of itself was outright something she strode for. Then again, she already had more recognition than most galactic citizens and the Senator would be lying if a small part of her didn't like that a little.

"Nice to meet you." She looked at the young man and his astromech. "Hello to you too, Emm Seven." The Senator smiled at the enthusiastic noises of the droid. The woman took a step closer to the droid and reached out a small hand to shake its manipulator.

Looking to her side she raised a hand to present her protocol droid. "Yes. Tee-Cee One One Three Eight has been at my side for years." The Senator stepped closer and rested and pale hand on the droid's forearm. "I hardly go anywhere without him." The auburn form of the droid gave a slight bow of its head to Siria. "The pleasure is mine, Senator."

The reason behind the sense of familiarity was probably some passing net-article. Looking back at Newton, she saw him turn his attention back to the terminal he was accessing. The woman peered to read what it said and was not surprised by the subject. "Arden...Newton Arden...hmm" The name was murmured quietly as she raised a finger to tap her cheek. She could swear she had heard that name before. A droid model came to mind and its designer associated with it.

Focusing more on Newton now, she looked him up and down again to gauge him with a the new realization in mind. "I'm always interested in learning a bit of history." She wasn't here specifically for the droids of the CIS. Their presence around Tirahnn space made them a common enough sight still that B1s and Vulture droids among other designs still frequented the area. "I take it you are?" She gave a small jut of her chin towards the results Newton had been studying. It was not a one sided education that the young Senator had recieved. "From what I'm told the records here aren't as comprehensive as they once were." Siria gave a glance at TC who added a small nod at the reference to their earlier conversation.

So she has a bond of her own to her droid too, Newton can feel like wise. "Same, me and M7 go way back. I built him myself when I was in middle school. And he is almost always by my side as well" For things like for buisness meetings he can't go to, or when doing some dirty work for Blackwell in which M7 would be placed in harms way. M7 would beep happily affirming that, as Newton would look down at his companion.

Looking back at the Senator. She murmured his name, and it looks like it was sounding more and more familar to her. Maybe she heard of his work. Newton has designed quite a bit of models for Blackwell, most notably the D3-NB droids, also known as the Deneb droid, which have been popular and sold lots of them. That's what got him his post as Blackwell Manager and the profit he makes off commission.

She would reply to her when asks if she is interested in learning history. "Learning history has it's uses." he said. He's not a history buff per say, but he knows quite a bit about it, at least the parts that matter most. "Actually, I'm looking for something." he would look at the screen and look at Senator Zale again "Have you heard the rumors about a Droid World?" he would ask her. Newton would pause, allowing her to think back if needed. "I'm not much for rumors, but there is a rumor that there is a world of droids. Not quite a junkyard planet. But a world with droid cityscape, built by droids for droids, a place that droids seeking freedom could go to and be free. A utopia" he would voice what he heard. If such a place does exist, he needs to find it.

Now that Newton thinks about it. "Hmmmmm.... what if... I put...." he slowly murmured to himself That's what he would start searching "Droid Utopia" on the terminal as he echoed in a whisper. After keying it in, the terminal would then search it. And then return 1 result. "Could it be..." as he eyed the entry 'Droid Utopia'. "Oh, might have something." he would click result and it would have a summary,. "So, apparently this Lasat smuggler named Bak Das stumbled upon a droid world after a miscalculated hyperspace jump while feeing from gangters he stole some goods from. The rest details his experiences when he tried to visit..." Newton was very much interested in reading some more of this. Looking at the details, this entry has like little in the amount of hits and no reviews. Must be pretty obscure. Maybe that might be why it's still not charted, assuming it does it exist, no one really humored this work.

As the two spoke, Siria came closer to the terminal and looked over the man's shoulder. The information he scrolled through was partially taken in but mostly she listened to what Newton said. The Senator knew a thing or two about commodities and the names associated with them. Newton Arden, a droid designer for Blackwell, was researching droids at the Coruscant Library. A small galaxy it would seem... She thought to herself, a pleasant smile came acros her face while listening. The pain from the fall was already fading to the back of her mind.

"I'm imaging a lot of chrome right now." She said with a small chuckle. "...and oil baths." The likes of which were scalding for most organic beings. "I've heard of some groups of droids banding together but I don't know about utopia." Siria's tone refrained from sounding dismissive and instead turned to look at TC-1138 with a look to ask if they had heard of such a place before. "We droids are often collected or discarded in numbers as well as require maintenance to continue our regular operations. It is a bit different than standard carbon based life so I beg your pardon Senator Zale but what we consider utopia in a different manner." The well mannered protocol bowed its head a little after speaking. But TC had a point and the Senator acknowledged it with a nod. She had never really asked what the droid had wanted. New questions were forming behind the woman's blue eyes. Only a slight murmur and a hand brought to her chin were the response she gave in the following moments.

Gesturing towards the terminal she would give Newton a suggestion. "I've heard that Nouane has some impressive libraries. There might be more information there as well as philosophers that would be interested in the subject." There was another matter on the planet the woman was keen on looking into. Trade was a part of her family's history as was politics. But also that meant there were periods of her family lineage that were a mystery to her. Nouane was a system the Siria's father had personal dealings with and the woman wanted to find out what they had been.

The voice of Emryc and the conversations she had shared with the man on Coruscant came back to the fore of her mind. In the days following the Ranger gathering, Siria had brought up the subject to he brother Daniel. He more or less brushed off the question. It was not the norm these days to have learned Mando'a from an early age. She felt like there was a secret and she was the last to know about it. Hopefully it had a better collection of information than Coruscant did.

"Why do you want to discover..." She paused for moment as she rolled her eyes at her self correction. "...or rediscover, this droid utopia?" Was Newton the type to try and exploit the planet as some business minded creator or was he just a gear head that was on a pet project. There were some political groups that were outspoken about droid rights. But they were in the minority and very often dwindling members or support.

As the Senator and her droid were talking, Newton was reading more, focusing his attention on that instead of them two. He'd quickly purchase a copy of what he had found, he'd read more on from the comfort of his home later, but he thinks he got what he came for. Now look back at Siria, he'd hear the question, and then he would answer. "To see what this droid utopia is, of course. I want to study the droids and this world if it truly does exist. These droids are not ordinary by any means if they have their own world and they have built their own cities, their own civilization." he would pause. "You know how droids can build personality and take on a life of their own when allowed to right?" a rhetorical question of course.

"Imagine how those the droids of this Droid World have evolved..." he was looking in the air thinking of all the possibilities. "With proper maintenance, droids can outlive the lifetimes of us flesh and blood organics..." After all, the flesh is weak. He would then look back at the Senator. "Have they evolved sentience and free will? Do they have culture just like organics? Do they have concepts of leisure and luxury? Or are they like the droids here, built only for a purpose with little autonomy. " He poses the question. "That's what I want to found out." he answered to the Senator. And yes, Newton would use what he observes, should he find this droid world for his research and find ways to incorporate what he learned into future projects. Will Blackwell benifit from this endeavor, ultimately it will. But he isn't going to tell Siria that through, still Newton did mean what he said.

Newton would then feel that he is tiring, his eyes getting heavier to keep open, he'd look outside through a window, it's getting dark. His chrono, when he check it would confirm that it is getting late, but he has his new Senator acquaintance here, it's not often he has one of those.. "I reckon I'll be able to ascertain the location after I read through this at home. But yes, finding this place could be a huge benefit in the robotics field." Newton would begin to stand up out his seat, looking towards the senator, smiling.

Newton had the genuine desire to find this droid utopia. That wasn't in question. He clearly believed it was out there or at least had been.

Siria was skeptical by nature, not in the facts of the galaxy but in the intention of other beings. Droids had long since been a commodity, appliances and tools to serve purposes designed by mortal masters. The Senator was not ignorant of all the unspoken questions that came along with such a discovery. Many of them had obvious answers that would remain yet unspoken.

"I would definitely like to see such a place for myself. TeeCee..." The young fair skinned expression looked towards her droid. "...my schedule is clear. Would you care to make a pilgrimage?"

The sound of the droid's joints were heard in the short cocking of its head. "Well...I think it's a bit presumptious and perhaps we should get some supplies-" "Tee-Cee." A knowing smile remained on Siria's face knowing how long winded the droid could be at times. "...Yes, Senator. I look forward to the prospect." A hint of excitement came to the droid's vocabulator. Siria found it rather endearing and the droid would continue. "The Kirian's systems would ease any travels I imagine."

The protocol droid's words brought up a good subject. "Indeed. Mr Arden..." She turned to look towards the Blackwell Manager. "I have a ship which Tee Cee just mentioned. If you don't mind company, I'd like to join you." The young man had already been at the library awhile. Siria also knew that some of the concerns she had was of the political aspects a droid world brought. She wanted to be there to see history as it was being made. To be a part of it.

Oh, she would like to join him on such a venture? Newton raised his eyebrow with such a proposition. A senator traveling with him to an unknown droid world? That's not something that happens to often. He will have to take it. Besides, if things go bad - which is always a possibility - it will be good to have backup, just like Newton was with Lyra during their jaunt into the Unknown Regions. "How good is your ship? You think it would be well suited for this?" Newton wondered and asked her. The Messier 7 - Newton's ship - is equipped for exploration with provisions as it did in the Unknown Regions. It also has that new AI Suite installed, but maybe this wouldn't be a good opportunity to test the prototype, plus it is of questionable legality too.

Newton would put his hand on his chin, contemplating. He wondered what kind of ship a Senator would have. Surely not one of the generic VIP shuttles for this.

"It's a Lateron star yacht, stinger-one-sixty-one specifically." She indulged the man's curiosity. It was the XL model. That also meant it would be second only to an actual suite in the Heights of Tirahnn. "Actually..." She raised a fair finger requesting Newton's patience as she fished out her pocket holoprojector to show him an image of the vessel. She smiled, pleased with the recent red paintjob it had been updated with.

"It has long range scanners, shields and even some cannons for defense." Her tone came across as confident and pleased with the craftsmanship. The woman wasn't above defending herself either. But the most she had done with the Kirian so far was mostly race and fly it. Testing out the weapons on some military surplus training TIE fighters and asteroids at the edge of the system was a far cry from real combat practice.

"Not to mention it's pretty comfy." Siria added a wink of one of her blue eyes before putting the miniaturized projection to disappear back into her pocket. "Here, I'll give you my commlink. Don't share it though." She gave him her personal connection that would be able to come in through the ship. The Senator expected a few more hours of leisure on Coruscant before departing at least. But maybe roboticist would work through the information even faster.
